Good rooms but you have to park a long way away

Really nice hotel in a nice spot. A little difficult for parking (park in the Intu car park), but a good setup. Like the bar and snack setup, and rooms are nice. Recommend staying

Hilton bargain basement. Look it's OK but the free WiFi didn't reach my room. I mean derrr there's not much point of free WiFi if it doesn't reach the rooms. Gym is well stocked and the rooms pretty good value. I'd recommend if the wireless internet was working, else go stay at the Holiday Inn instead - it's the same building.

I'll write this review in the order as to which I came across them. Parking - no parking with the actual hotel, but a secure multi-story car park is available over the road, this is half price with your hotel stay and we added the cost on to our hotel stay. The outside of the hotel isn't great, but it is next to the river and over the road from the shops, restaurants etc. The check in desk is located on the fourth floor, which you access through the lift. When getting in the lift, you can only access the fourth floor, to access the other floors you need your room key card for security purposes, stops people without a room getting access. Checking in was very quick and easy, the check in desk is forefront, then the bar behind, and the breakfast area behind that. All very clean and quiet. The room was very clean, bathroom was spotless too. Wasn't too keen on the frosted glass door and wasn't 100% sure it was keeping the awkward sounds in the bathroom, but the soap and moisturiser dispensers were cool. Bed was very comfortable, I have a larger bed at home but strangely my girlfriend and myself had less bed hogging issues in this bed than mine. Air-con was great too, really felt it. Was noisy, but as a light sleeper it didn't bother me through the night. View from the room wasn't great, but that really isn't a deal breaker for me. Breakfast, ah breakfast, brilliant! All well stocked, well laid out, great variety, and friendly staff, this made the visit for me. Going to miss a fresh made waffle (loved that machine) with maple syrup and bacon for breakfast. And also liked the fact it was on for an hour longer on a Sunday so could have a lie in. Checking out was just as fast and easy as checking in. Hampton by Hilton will be my first place to check wherever I go from now on.
