⭐☆☆☆☆ I’d like to thank the team for their unique Father’s Day experience, which can best be described as “The Case of the Disappearing Tables.” Having already had our booking moved to an earlier time, my daughter and I dutifully rearranged our plans and arrived as requested. Upon arrival, Trish informed us there were absolutely no tables available. None. Zero. Not a single chair, stool, or spare corner of floor space to be found. My daughter looked devastated, as though she had somehow personally failed Father’s Day. A lovely touch to an otherwise perfect afternoon. However, as we walked back to the car park, something extraordinary happened. I checked the online booking system and, in a miracle that would make David Copperfield jealous, several tables had suddenly appeared. Remarkable. In the space of approximately 90 seconds, the restaurant had apparently gone from being completely full to having multiple available bookings. Either there was a mass evacuation I wasn’t aware of, or the tables were playing hide and seek. Perhaps the restaurant is trialling a new concept where tables are only visible to people using the internet. Either way, it was disappointing to watch my daughter upset over something that could have been handled with a little honesty and customer service. The only thing more unavailable than the tables was any effort to help. On the bright side, I now know where Hogwarts graduates go when they want to practise making furniture vanish. Thanks for the unforgettable Father’s Day experience. Not quite the memory we were hoping to make, but a memorable one nonetheless.

Really nice pub and garden area. As we had not booked the manager was really helpful and found us a table. The only thing that let it down is the food. I feel it was over priced for what you got. I ordered the crispy fried chicken burger that cost £17.79. It was ok but it was just a chicken burger with bbq sauce on top and burger sauce on the bottom, the chips where really nice but shop cold coleslaw was warm. My partner had the mixed grill and the steak was tuff. So not really worth £22.20.
The lady manager of the Fallow Field pub was lovely and very helpful. The evening meals at the pub were lovely and there was a good range to pick from. However, the breakfast options for a gluten-free person were lacking. In the end, I brought my own cereal box from the Asda nearby and ate that instead. You provided a whole separate menu with plenty of options for evening meals, but breakfasts were completely overlooked. The housekeeping staff at the hotel side were lovely and did a great job.
We stayed due 2 nights for family events. Good location for us and events we attended. The main course my husband wanted was out of stock on both Friday & Saturday night which was disappointing. We had dinner in pub on Friday and waited at least an hour for our main courses, think they forgot us. We asked for an iron on Saturday & had to call again to chase as they forgot us. Breakfast was good & great value for money.
We came here for a dance competition. The staff went above and beyond for us. They found us a space to practice, were beyond helpful and kind. They made our girls feel so special. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We would definitely stay here again.
