Just returned from an overnight stay and you can tell they’ve spent a lot of money on the refurbishment. The rooms were lovely and we couldn’t fault anything. There was plenty of space, and we liked the added touches such as the robes. The coffee machine was also a nice bonus. The staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay and tried to make an effort with my little one. The breakfast buffet had a good selection, everything was served hot, and I was pleased to see crumpets too.. don’t think I’ve ever seen them on a breakfast menu! The gym was great, particularly liked the upgrades to the treadmill where you can log into various apps. The swimming pool was nice and warm too. We stay in lots of hotels and we enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend.

Daresbury Park sits just off the motorway between Chester and Warrington, so it’s handy for Cheshire and easy to get to. It’s had a really nice refurb. I think some of the rooms might have been used for the first time. The finish is good and the facilities are great. Check-in was quick and friendly, and breakfast was good. Didn’t use the bar or leisure side as I was only there one night. Only downside was the room was very warm. No air con unfortunately, otherwise it’d be five stars for the hotel and the value.
This review is for the leisure facilities only not the rooms or food and drink. I know that the hotel has been given some really bad press but can I make it clear - that was historic and the hotel is moving forward by creating local jobs. My visit was to check out the gym and pool and I was not disappointed. My first impressions were that the entrance is bright and clean and the staff on shift were super helpful and really friendly. The changing rooms were clean and in good repair - another plus is that you don't need a padlock or a coin to secure a locker. The gym is air-conditioned and has a great selection of equipment. It is clean, bright and airy with a mix of ages and abilities. Must remember water bottle...!! The pool is lovely, a nice temperature for swimming and has adult only times too. The whirlpool is really, really good! Steam room is clean and centrally controlled so you can't add more steam - not my favourite personally but that is not a reflection of the room. The showers are hot and powerful, perfect to pummel you after a session in the gym! This is a proper shower, not one where you have to keep pushing a buttonto for the water. Hair and body wash is provided (you can request a towel too) but I would recommend taking your own as it is very drying. Hairdryers are also provided and again, are proper ones where you don't have to keep your finger on the button...brilliant touch. Be aware that it can get busy at the weekend with hotel guests. Security is excellent and this was observed recently. A couple were staying at the hotel and were making an absolute nuisance of themselves. They were politely asked to leave after a plethora of 'incidents'. The team handled the situation perfectly and I felt safe and, unfortunately the police had to be called to have the male arrested. Overall, the facilities are clean and tidy, the equipment modern and in good condition, the staff: excellent. So, I'm now a member and so is my husband. Highly recommend.
Great staff, recently refurbished rooms, nice and clean and good value. We have had not had the chance to use the spa but hopefully in the near future if we stop by. The reason for 4 stars is due to not having AC in the room which can make it very warm in the summer months.
Booked this hotel through a deal and there were some negative reviews that we found to be completely unfounded. Great rooms with huge modern TV and comfortable beds, great big shower and fantastic value breakfast. You even get spa access thrown in and the pool and steam room are great. Really nice staff especially in pool area
