Very nice hotel. This Waldorf Astoria is located in the heart of Chengdu’s Financial City and is directly connected to the large 99Yintai shopping mall. It’s an excellent choice for travelers who prefer a quieter area and is especially well-suited for business trips. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast, a well-equipped gym, and several great dining options. The staff provide exceptional service and are always attentive, responding to your needs promptly and professionally. I booked the panoramic room which offers a great night view of the twin towers and I really like the format of the room. The only downside is that it doesn’t offer a nice walk in closet like other rooms do.

great location and view! the bathtub even got a TV ! pillow menu is offered in room and has the ergo option i like, but it's too late to call them for it before sleep, it would have been better if they ask in advance duing check-in or via email before my arrival (as many others do) polite, helpful but cold staff. checkin on 50th floor, guest rooms and restaurants are on lower levels. not friendly for amex FHR benefits, over recent years of travelling to china, i got accustomed to the price discrimination that you pay original (undiscounted) price to get 100 off at Chengdu Waldorf, i learned new trick: 100 usd credit = 350 cny off spa + 350 cny off dining with restrictions
I had a wonderful stay at the Waldorf Astoria Chengdu, especially thanks to the exceptional service for my birthday. The staff surprised me by giving me balloons, a complimentary cake, a plush panda, and an extravagant three-story towel cake. The room itself was excellent and very comfortable, and the swimming pool offered extravagant views of the city. I highly recommend this hotel for its great hospitality and facilities.
Waldorf Astoria Chengdu — Where the City Looks Up to You Three nights here, and it set the bar for everything else on the trip. The accolades speak first. The Royal Suite took World Travel Awards' Sichuan's Leading Hotel Suite, a title it has held multiple times over the years. [World Travel Awards] Trip.com's 2025 Global 100 recognised it among the world's top Gourmet Hotels, and after dining here, that feels entirely earned. From pre arrival to checkout, the team paid attention to the occasion of our stay in ways that felt personal rather than scripted. That's the hallmark of True Waldorf Service, and they delivered it without fanfare. The pool runs at roughly half Olympic length, temperature controlled, with a warm soaking pool beside it. Surrounding it are healing ice, salt, steam, and sauna rooms, a full thermal circuit that turns an afternoon into a ritual. Sitting on the 48th floor , the pool offers cinematic views. The gym and restaurants carry the same panorama floor-to-ceiling glass facing the Financial City skyline at every turn. Two restaurants deserve a visit. *The Grill* (Limited Edition) handles Western dining with the confidence of a hotel that knows its guest. The real discovery, though, is *Infinite Luck*, the signature Chinese restaurant recognised as a Michelin-selected restaurant in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Chengdu. Their chef brings over 40 years of Sichuan culinary mastery to every dish, bold, precise, and deeply rooted in the region. Best meal of the trip, without question. One note on the layout: the hotel uses separate elevators for guest floors and the ground-floor lobby. Likely a function of the building's height, it does offer a sense of quiet privacy though an extra step if you're heading out often. The hotel connects directly to *in99*, a 190,000 sqm luxury mall co-designed by six of the world's top design firms, weaving art, culture, and commerce into one destination. Dining options, flagship boutiques, and a genuinely beautiful bookstore. Step outside and you're at the edge of 交子公园 Jiaozi Park a sweeping urban green lung stretching nearly two kilometres through the heart of the Financial City. Planned across three phases, the park covers a total area of around 830,000 square metres, including a 38,000 sqm ecological lake and approximately 47 hectares of landscaped greenery. It follows the Jinjiang River corridor and feels surprisingly serene given its CBD address the kind of park that rewards a slow morning walk. From the upper floors, two buildings anchor the skyline view. The Tianfu Twin Towers, each standing 58 stories tall are clad in LED panels that transform them into luminous digital screens after dark. To the other side sits the New Century Global Center, a 1.7 million square metre glass and steel structure (was told by Didi driver that it's the largest single building in the world by floor area. Seeing both from the same window is a quietly surreal reminder of the scale Chengdu operates at. If you're planning Chengdu, make this your base. It earns every star.
We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Chengdu for only two nights, but the experience left a wonderful impression on us. Every staff member we met was extremely professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Whatever request we had, they responded quickly and positively with great courtesy and efficiency. The hotel itself is luxurious, elegant, and offers excellent value for the level of service and quality provided — exactly what you would expect from the Waldorf Astoria brand. From the large floor-to-ceiling windows in our room, we could enjoy beautiful views of the park lake, the modern office towers in Chengdu’s High-Tech Zone, and the dazzling lights of the famous Twin Towers at night. Staying here really gives you a sense of China’s rapid modern development and the vibrant energy of Chengdu. The location is also very convenient, and it is easy to get anywhere by Didi. We especially appreciated the hotel’s flexibility regarding late checkout. With only a small additional fee, they were happy to accommodate our request, which made our stay even more comfortable. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay at the Waldorf Astoria Chengdu and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chengdu. Special thanks to all the staff for their outstanding hospitality.
