Staying at the JW Marriott in Chongqing has been an exceptional experience. The rooms are quiet and well appointed, the staff is so courteous and friendly, and the executive lounge on the 28th floor has amazing views and great amenities. I would highly recommend a stay here - I know I’ll be back for sure.

Absolutely outstanding luxury experience! Staying at the JW Marriott Hotel Chongqing was the absolute highlight of our trip! From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we felt incredibly welcome. The warm, attentive hospitality made us feel truly special and taken care of throughout our stay Our room was fantastic—extra spacious, beautifully appointed, and designed with total luxury in mind. Everything from the ambiance to the top-tier service surpassed our expectations. If you are looking for upscale comfort and genuinely welcoming hospitality in Chongqing, this is the place to be. We would come back in a heartbeat!
The hotel has an excellent location about 10 minutes walk from Jiefangbei. It’s also close to Hongya Cave, Elin Park. It is a location where locals shop to buy their fruit and vegetables. The hotel itself is a little dated and needs a refresh, however, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Klaus Wang, the “At Your Service Manager” was particularly helpful to us. Klaus speaks English. We were disappointed with the all day dining restaurant. We ordered a Hainan Chicken Rice. It was not cooked as expected. The chicken was overcooked and dry. Overall, our stay at the hotel was good and we would stay here again.
The hotel is in a tall modern building, within walking distance to walking street like Jiafanbei. Lot of eateries and souvenir shops outside. When arrive ng, not sure why the staff did not offer to bring the suitcases inside, bit on other days I could see them waiting at the front door. The room we stayed is on the 27th floor, no smoking smell and great view of the river. We opted for the upgrade to the 27 th floor rather than the original 21 st floor, to gain access to the Executive Club Lounge on the 28th floor. Here you have breakfast (more relaxed than 1st floor dining hall), afternoon tea, dinner and cocktails. It is truly worth it. Beware there could kids running around at time as many families stay here. The afternoon tea has of course tea, coffee, small cakes and fruits. Dinner is delicious with enough variety. The staff at the Executive lounge worked super hard and so helpful, I would like commend the. In the restrooms near lobby, strong smokes could be smelled. I notice that the locals smoke a lot on the street and sometimes violated the hotel smoking rules, posing troubles to hotel staff.
Really enjoyed the stay here. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a big comfortable bed. Location wise, you couldn't ask for more. The hotel is surrounded by places to eat and just a quick five minute walk to the shopping square. The breakfast spread was another high point, offering plenty of great choices. Highly recommend this place.
