This 5-star resort, managed by Intercontinental, offers good service, but many amenities are outdated.
The outdoor pool is only operational in the children's area.
The breakfast is delicious and varied.
It's still a hotel worth experiencing.
Beautiful place with lots of fun stuff and activities for either couple or family stay.
Our room was so spacious and well kept though a bit dark having dark wooden floor and wall but on the other hand feeling warm and cosy. Service was at standard though not feeling beyond.
Overall, this is huge (even have their owned temple inside) and well decorated resort in Thai-Chinese style. The location is also away from a hustle and bustle but not too far to connect to the city attractions.
Huge hotel away from the city for some quite time. The room is huge and beautiful. Breakfast spreads are good. Most importantly the service is great.
I have booked 5 room. Upon arrival they cannot find my booking due to some reason that they are not able to contact me before check in. They have canceled all the room. But it was quickly sorted out by the front desk reception Ms.Su. When I ask for recommendations of a good local restaurant. Not only she has make the perfect recommendation but also booked and paid for the taxi/didi ride to the restaurant on her own expense. Intercontinental is so lucky to have Ms. Su who serve beyond her duties.
Another big thank you goes to the concierge manager who help us arrange special transport to carry our huge bike bags to the airport. All communication is flawless and constantly checking all goes well.
If I could give this a 3.5, I would…
First, I found a dead bug behind the pillow, and one more on the bed. Then there was a huge chip in the wall, didn’t look very nice either. The shampoo, body wash and conditioner all smelled like tea, which I like a lot. The decorations were beautiful, and the place is gigantic! Like huge!! I like how you have temples and have Chinese styled picture taking spots. But I know you can do better, hope to see you improve!
Beautiful entrance and check-in desk, rooms are great, it's also on a hill as you may need to take lifts or staircases to reach your building. Has its own peacock enclosure, open 830 to 1030 where they are released to roam a small area. The adult swimming pool is enclosed n indoors. Location is near the city so you need to take taxi, you can't walk it. There is a local fruit market 10 min walk west on Ronglin blvd road (walk past the public washroom). Hotel has its own rentable local dress shop n makeup booth. The whole area has local trees and fauna so make sure you use the anti insect spray (Goto check in desk- see the blue bottles provided by the hotel). Important if your booked here: they have a dedicated time based shuttle service to the airport (we had one leaving at 1030am sharp)- so check with hotel if they can pick you up/drop off etc at airport at a certain time.
