I actually don't had much confidence in Accor properties in China. This time in Mile, a friend recommended this MGallery and we decided to give it a try with pretty low expectations. The location is a bit far away from the city, right inside the Dongfengyun. Room rate includes unlimited entry to the scenic area but tbh the whole area is pretty small. Two days is enough. By day three, you will be bored. The red brick design feels similar to the Hyatt Unbound in Jingdezhen. The entrance with the echo wall is quite interesting, and every building has a different inner courtyard design. Check in process was smooth. We tried two room types: a King room with a hotspring pool, and a camping themed two bed room suite. Cleanliness was totally fine in both. The pool room has a small yard with a decent view of Dongfengyun. The camping suite in Building 8, it is a two bedroom connecting layout with a bit weirdly unique style, and it is the only room in the hotel with a bidet toilet. All the walls are curved (even the bed is round). A small living room connects the two bedrooms, a lot of camping stuff. It is definitely unique but there are way too many decorations, making it a bit annoying to walk around. Cocktails at the lobby bar were actually good. They supposedly have live music but we probably just missed it. Just like every other Accor in China, breakfast is bad and lack of selections. Breakfast closes at 10:30 but by 10:15 the wontons were already gone. Ordered rice noodles and they were undercooked. The pastry was bone dry. Egg Benedict was a mess, served on wheat bread with watery Hollandaise (not even ham or salmon options, but ya whatever). The youtiao was dense like chewing bread, and the juice was terrible. The fresh cantaloupe juice tasted literally like water. The only things actually edible were the fruits and waffles. We ate breakfast once and skipped it for the rest of our trip, preferring to eat out in town instead. Usually when staying at resorts, we will eat dinner at the hotel restaurant. This time we had no desire at all... Drived over 10 km out just to avoid eating at their restaurant. Breakfast quality heavily impacts the overall stay, especially for destination resorts where F&B matters so much. If breakfast is this bad, I doubt their lunch or dinner would be any better. Overall, this MGallery slightly changed my view that all China Accor properties are bad. The hardware is solid and service had no issues but the dining desperately needs work (it is really, really bad....).

It’s such an artistic hotel. Luxurious and beautiful. Overlooking to the landmarks. Mile is such a hidden gem of Yunnan. This hotel is a must visit/stay at Mile!
In fact, whether it is the design, facilities or amazing ideas of the hotel, I should have been very impressed. But there is one thing that really deducted points: when I showed my membership level and upgrade voucher at the reception, the staff told me that I could not upgrade because the room was full, but when I checked the hotel's official website, I found that there was a corresponding room type. I can accept that the hotel cannot upgrade during the peak season, but they should not lie.
This is the most beautiful hotel we've ever stayed in in China! The architecture, interior design, and landscape design completely exceeded our expectations! The Dongfengyun Scenic Area is also incredibly beautiful. Although we had seen many pictures of hotels before our trip, being there in person, the beauty of the architecture and landscape at every turn was still breathtaking. Every detail of the hotel room design was meticulously crafted and worth savoring. A huge thank you to Manager Yang and the General Manager for their warm assistance! The hotel service was excellent; they upgraded us to two rooms with hot springs and provided complimentary fruit platters and photography services! Every staff member greeted us with a friendly smile upon arrival and offered professional assistance, making us feel right at home. The hotel pool is beautiful, offering direct views of the main scenic area. There's also a large, spectacular waterfall next to the pool. The hotel has many activities for children, making it perfect for families like ours. It's a pity our trip was too rushed, and our stay was too short. The room facilities were superb. Our room had a separate toilet, bathtub, and two showers in three separate rooms, all elegantly and exquisitely decorated. The bedding was very comfortable, and the lighting design was diverse and practical. The lush outdoor courtyard, complete with comfortable sofas and chairs, and a private hot spring with aromatherapy, is truly unforgettable. The hotel's Chinese restaurant and breakfast restaurant are located in the same area. Both breakfast and lunch are excellent. The breakfast restaurant offers a wide selection, and we especially loved their freshly cooked rice noodles. The Chinese restaurant, needless to say, features many local specialties—delicious and unique! You can only find these dishes here, and we highly recommend it! The restaurant's uniquely designed brick walls are also a highlight. We especially recommend their locally sourced red wine and grape juice—rich and enticing! Each guest room building has its own distinctive courtyard design. Our building's courtyard was a tropical garden filled with various cacti, exceptionally beautiful against the backdrop of the red brick buildings, reminding us of the landscapes of the Spanish Mediterranean islands. This hotel deserves to be seen by more people; we will definitely return and recommend it to all our friends. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful travel experience!
Great hotel. In a local touristy area with gems of architecture and construction. Really beautiful and tastefully done. Lots of nice activities (art gallery, wineyard, tai chi...). It is also possible to do a bit of hiking, some nice path to be discovered. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful.
