The location was excellent, as the hotel is directly connected to a shopping mall, making it very convenient for dining and shopping. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment, which was spacious and well-suited for a family stay. However, some of the in-room amenities were quite old and showed signs of wear and tear. The air conditioning wasn’t functioning very well, and some of the furniture was worn and damaged. Overall, despite these minor issues, we were happy with our stay and appreciated the spacious accommodation and excellent location.

Dated rooms (including old fashioned hair dryers) but strong on fundamentals like comfortable bed and strong shower pressure (think shower fixtures are new). Service was alright...most requests were met after minor delays and after applying some pressure. Breakfast hall was bright and well organised. It wasn't crowded when I went in April so didn't have to wait for lifts and no noise pollution from other travellers. Apartment is well connected to nearby mall with premium Hema supermarket in the basement and fairly good restaurants like Foooo City. There is a good bakery - Wheat and Baker - in the corridor from hotel to mall. Overall satisfied considering the price point.
Great stay at this Chengdu's five star hotel. The staffs were very helpful and the reception can speak English! What surprised us was their breakfast buffet. The dan dan noodles with no soup was really good. We had it three days in a role (you'd better share it though; the portion was huge!) The doorman was also very helpful with carrying our luggages up and down the cab. The reason I gave it four star because the floor on my right was sticky during our whole stay, which was very annoying.
Chose Ascott for 1 week stay in Chengdu with family in the deluxe 2 bedroom modern apartment (1 King + 2 single beds) and turned out to be an excellent option for the price point. Bedrooms are spacious with ensuite & wardrobes. Large lounge, fully equipped kitchen with washing machine & dryer - essential for long stay during winter. Massive gym on upper floor however the indoor pool is only a small lap pool. Buffet breakfast had decent rotating spread (mostly geared to asian food) with kitchen staff manning an egg and noodle station (dumplings and noodles here were better than most outside street stores!). Reception desk and staff were always very helpful (very limited/little english, so bear that in mind). Location is a plus. Ground floor connects to Raffles shopping mall (with grocery & convenience stores) and short 5min walk through the mall and across the road to Sichuan Gymnasium Metro station (a few stops from popular Tianfu square and Chunxi Road stations). If you have luggage, recommend you get taxi or Didi to & from Ascott, concierge is helpful and most metro stations have lots of stairs and little/no lift access.
Nice hotel and worth for the price. The hotel is getting a bit elder but is still fine. We booked a spacious 2 bedroom apartment for a great price. We had 2 bathrooms and a kitchen prefect for a 4 person family. The hotel is located at a big shopping mall where you can eat and buy all you need. Also there are playgrounds for kids and elder to relax with biljards. Nice to come back.
