Great location near San Berillo, in walking distance from the main station and all the touristy stuff, and with easy connections to the airport. Incredibly nice place with spacious and clean room and bathroom, with all amenities needed. Really good breakfast, and very welcoming and helpful staff. Can't recommend this place enough!
A total disappointment, not worth the money! We were deeply disappointed with this accommodation, especially considering the rental price of around €1,300. The photos in the listing were likely taken when the apartment was brand new, as the reality is unfortunately completely different. The cleanliness and hygiene were below all standards! There was mold in the corners of the showers, and the kitchen featured a greasy extractor hood along with heavily limescaled dishes and a limescaled kettle. To make matters worse, we were welcomed by ants in both the apartment and the kitchen, so we didn't use the kitchen at all. The walls of the upstairs room were marred by saltpetre (damp) stains. The air conditioning units were filthy and weak, completely unable to cool down either the bedroom or the upper floor. On top of all this, the amenities did not match the description: the oven had been removed, and the advertised washing machine didn't even have a designated space, let alone exist. For this amount of money, you would expect premium quality, but this place failed to meet even the most basic standards. For half this price, you can find much cleaner and more sophisticated apartments. We brought all of the above to the host's attention. As compensation for the inconvenience, they gave us a complimentary dinner. While the dinner was delicious, it does not fix the disappointment or the discomfort, it won't make the AC or the shower any cleaner! We do not recommend this place to anyone!
Prime spot. Comfy bed. We were only in town for one night and were very happy we picked this place. It’s right on Piazza Scammacca so it’s a good place to start exploring. Beautiful room with a really comfy bed. We didn’t get breakfast but the bistro was a good place for a glass of wine on the square. Lovely friendly staff were very welcoming.

We really appreciated your cosy palazzo for not being a huge hotel with hundreds of people. The cakes at the breakfast table were more than delicious as well as your homemade marmalade. The stay at Palazzo Scammacca has been great. My room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The bed was amazing; I slept very well every night. The Palazzo is situated in the best location in Catania, very close to all the important places to visit: the Cathedral, the Massimo Bellini Theatre, the Palazzo Biscari, Via Etnea, restaurants, pastry shops and the airport bus stop. The breakfast is very good, varied and of high quality, with fresh fruit, homemade cakes and scrambled eggs or omelettes prepared on the spot. Everything was delicious. I would like to highlight the kindness, sympathy, and attention of the staff and the owner at all times. I highly recommend this place.
