St Lucia Ultimate 3: Aerial Tram, Zipline And Hiking At Rainforest Adventures

We constantly research to find the best possible tour options, our ziplining experience with Rainforest Adventures in St. Lucia was a total blast. We usually dread the massive cruise crowds, but this was incredibly intimate, just us and one other couple with three dedicated guides from start to finish. Having that many guides for such a small group made the entire day feel personal, safe, and completely tailored to us. The progression of the tour was perfect for taking in the island's scale. We started with a ride on the sky tram, which offered a peaceful look at the massive rainforest canopy before the adrenaline kicked in. Once we reached the top, we switched gears to the ziplines, flying through the trees with zero wait time. After the zips, we took a hike back to the tram station, which was a great way to ground ourselves in the scenery before riding the tram back down the mountain. What really made the day were the guides. They were absolutely hilarious and kept the energy high from the moment we met them until we finished. It wasn't just a tour; it was a fun, high-energy experience with people who clearly love what they do. For any couple looking for a mix of adventure and a personal touch, this is easily one of the best ways to see the St. Lucian rainforest.

Unfortunately the tram was still under repair, but the ziplines were great. My wife was very apprehensive, but here fears were soon calmed by the professionalism and safety of the staff. They were warm friendly and funny. This was one of best excursions of the 2 week holiday. Highly recommended.

I booked this trip for my adult daughter and myself while on a cruise holiday. It was actually less expensive than booking directly through the ship’s activity page. The pickup at the port was easy. The tram service is currently unable due to a previous hurricane. There is a projected date for repairs to be completed (I can’t remember what that date is). Even without the tram ride, the zip line adventure was excellent. The staff are very safety conscious and I always felt as though they were paying attention to the group’s needs. I really appreciated that they keep the groups relatively small. We had 8 people in our group. We had two guides. One went ahead to carefully receive each person as they ziplined across each of the eight sections. The other stayed with the group and rigged us onto the lines. It went smoothly and quickly, but with attention paid to safety. I highly recommend this adventure. I’m 60 years old and my daughter is 29, so don’t let age be the reason you miss out.

My daughter and grandson did the Zip Line through the rain forest with several stops along the way and loved it. Scenery was spectacular. Family took the aerial tram and it was equally worthwhile.

Had a lovely experience here at the rainforest. Jeffrey and Kiara are the best tour guides to go with. They made it fun and enjoyable especially on the Zipline. It was my first time on one and by the end I felt experienced. The information of the rainforest you end up learning is so impressive. A lot of the members on this tour was also first time on a zipline as well. As a group we all bonded. Thank you Jeffrey & Kiara!!!

They don’t pick up from half the places listed and then act dumb the day of. Go through the website it’s cheaper than Viator who tacks on like an additional $60-80

It’s well organised and safety first Enjoyable and most of us had no previous experience of zip wiring

The aerial tram was amazing. Had a lovely lady called Sammi telling us about the rainforest and everything that was there. Saw some humming birds but unfortunately there was no sighting of any parrots. A great trip.

The team were fun, friendly but very professional, Mel and Linnaeus were especially so. We ziplined through around 6 lines through the rainforest which were great fun, we were connected to two lines and three connections so felt very safe. We then travelled through all the five levels of the rainforest with the very knowledgeable Mel. Informative and fun several hours.

It was a great experience especially with it being my families first time zip-lining and visiting the island. The staff was helpful, energetic and funny especially our zip-line guide.

Driver picked us up from our Hotel and was early which was nice. Staff at Rain Forest were very fun and friendly and very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Zip Line was good fun and also the overhead Tram ride was amazing to see the Rain Forest from different heights. We were expecting a trail hike as we booked the Ultimate 3 unless the walk to the first Zip line was closed as a trail hike

Cutania and Melissa made this an extremely great day. Although one of our grouo was nervous they made him feel safe and secure. The tram ride was relaxing and we all enjoued the scenery and learning aboit the flora and fauna of the island. We actually got to see 3 parrots flying across the sky. The hike was not too bad but some of us are not in shape and Melissa kept the pace slow for us. Then fimally we got to the zip. Not sure of I can adequately put into words how awesome it was. We will definitely look for doing it again.

My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon in St. Lucia, and we really enjoyed this excursion. The rainforest is naturally beautiful, and the crew did a great job educating the tourists. I would strongly recommend this excursion!

Booked this trip, did not go on the trip because the driver arrived early and we were not told of the arrival time by the company or our resort. They refused to reimburse us our money. This is not a good tour, their communication is poor. They wanted to book another day, but we had other things booked those days, still they refused to refund us.

This was an excellent experience with good guides throughout. I had never been on a zip line before and felt very safe. Even though my husband and I are both in our seventies we felt very comfortable throughout the experience. The guide who took us on the tour of the grounds and showed us the processes of coffee beans and sugar cane was very friendly and well informed. The rum and chocolate tasting were superb with generous amounts of both rum and chocolate being offered. We enjoyed our lunch and would thoroughly recommend all of the activities.

It was a great experience going on this trip. It was well run by experienced staff Marcus and Jeffery. They were very informative and friendly. We were jn safe hands. I highly recommend this trip. It was a really enjoyable trip. Thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed the zip lining and aerial tram adventure. Such stunning views as you come back round on the aerial tram of the Caribbean Sea and Martinique in the distance. My daughter also enjoyed travelling through the different levels of the canopy looking for hummingbirds. The walk in between the zip line platforms was very hot work but the eight zip lines were super fun. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience and our guide was excellent. Don't forget to bring some cash for the lockers and for the shop at the end. Such a memorable experience!

This activity was not only fun but informative. Our guide was very knowledgeable of rainforest and gladly shared information about the plants, birds, and other animals that might be found in the area. The tram ride was an excellent way of seeing the forest without spending a day hiking. The views from the highest point provided the opportunity to see both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Zip lining was fun. The guides put safety first and to that end we zipped away on short, long and steep runs. I recommend this activity for all ages

Fantastic experience in the rainforest, the transport arrived on time thanks to Nick, and Dela was an excellent honest, if your worried about zip wire, like I was they really look after you and you will enjoy the whole trip

This is a must-do in St Lucia! We stayed in Cap Estate and we had our own car so we took the tour without transportation. It took us approximately 45mins to get to the Forest Reserve. The tram ride was lovely. I was impressed by the construction of the cable tram in the heights of the rain forest! The guide Joel was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He then outfitted us with safety harnesses to zip line. The ziplines are pretty short and not high up but still enjoyable.

The zip lines where very tame but 2 decent ones to be fair but the people we had taking us around where very rude and boring and made the experience a lot worse then my sister had a very bad fall over a rock which was her fault to be honest but all “Nicolas” cared about was not taking the blame or any of it being his fault and he was very rude also he was towards the end not clipping on the safety clip on then we was told we needed it also when my sister was down injured nearly fainting or being sick he just no help just standing there then when I told him to do something as he was the guide of our group he just squeezed my sister foot although she told him to put it down he didn’t and made matters worse when we was waiting to go on each zip line we would just wait there while all employees laughed and joked and we just stayed there and then they would say come here the go it’s so lame and they made it feel like we was forcing them to do as if it’s not their job

We had a fantastic time doing this experience. The zip-lining, hike in the rainforest & aerial tram ride were amazing. We were well looked after by our guides Josiah on the rainforest hike & zip-lining & Marcia on the tram ride. Thank you for a fabulous time

First of all, let me say, I'm not a review writer. If I leave a review for something, it is because it was truly spectacular - and this was just that. Jean Miguel (or John Migel? - I never asked for a spelling but probably should have - that's my bad) let me start by saying he was the best tour guide I've had for any experience in a good long while. Energetic, bubbly, friendly, charismatic and he knew LOADS about the rainforest and the Caribbean. My wife and I had a great time today, zipping around the rainforest with him and his partner in crime (whose name I forget but I think it was Uneesha?). But, don't be apprehensive about not getting this pair as your guides, as we went through the rainforest, you could tell everyone was having a similar (if not slightly less fun than ours?) experience. Thanks to Jean Miguel in particular and the rest of the team at Rainforest Adventures - St Lucia. An unforgettable experience. Practical advice - take a rucksack. You'll be able to take it around the ziplining with you and you'll not be panicking about dropping things out of your hands/mouth/pockets/other crevices then. 👍🏼

We had a lot of fun zip lining. The aerial tram was relaxing & the views were stunning. Our driver, Rufus & our guides Joel & a lovely woman were excellent. There was quite a bit more walking up steps & paths than we expected, but it was still a great excursion. We were on a cruise & they were responsive to our questions & the pick up was smooth.

We did the ultimate 3 tour with our 2 daughters ages 7 and 9. The ziplining - having ziplined in Costa Rica a year ago - these were much shorter and less high thus much less frightening than the ziplines in Costa Rica. We still enjoyed it but don’t expect super thrills. We felt absolutely safe the entire time, and we truly enjoyed learning about the area from our funny, wonderful guide, Marcus, on the walk and on the tram. I highly recommend this for someone who wants a fun adventure exploring the rain forests of Saint Lucia. Of note, in the gift shop, there is a spot that sells burgers and chicken sandwiches. After I placed my order, they said they were closed and cancelled my order so don’t count on being able to get lunch on site.

Really enjoyed this experience. Lovely (approx 1 hour) tram ride through the rain forest with a knowledgeable and interesting guide aboard. Then a (mostly) uphill hike to the beginning of the zip line course. Not too strenuous but a little bit challenging due to uneven ground, tree roots, rocks etc. Totally doable though. The zip lining is fun and all safety standards were followed. Would recommend.

This was such an amazing experience! An absolute must-do when visiting Saint Lucia! The tram ride was peaceful and relaxing. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The views were simply stunning. This was our first experience zip-lining and what a blast we had! The guides were skilled and fun. We were comfortable and relaxed! We highly recommend this experience!

Excellent guide loaded with information. Walked first. Good footwear not a strenuous walk. Guide explained flowers,different leaves for different things. The tram seats 8 wonderful experience very calm and peaceful. Again the guide very informative.

The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. It was a little dis-organized at the beginning and end knowing where to go, who to speak to, even when it was officially over. The 'hike' was really just the walk to and between the zip line platforms but the guide did point out foliage and plants along the way and give some details about them.

The free pick up from our hotel was on time in a lovely vehicle with a really nice driver. The experience itself is not to be missed. I was slightly worried when booking as I have a bad fear of heights but reading previous reviews seemed to suggest this is not a problem which I can now verify. It started with the aerial tram which was very peaceful and informative with great views of the rainforest and beyond. This was followed by the "hike" which, to be honest, was just the walk from the tram to the first zip line. In saying that there was the odd nugget of information to be had and we did get to see a tarantula close up. The zip lining itself was fantastic and felt really safe - one to cross off my bucket list. Junior was our guide for all 3 experiences and came over as very enthusiastic all the way through. He was joined by another person for the zip lining who, unfortunately, came over a bit miserable. Overall not one to be missed and don't let age (I'm 63 and my wife 57) or a fear of heights put you off.

Zip lining was fun and very safe. I’m afraid of heights and I wasn’t scared at all. Guides were meh. One female was nice and the male with us couldn’t be bothered. It was as if he was angry to be working. Would’ve been a lot more fun if they’d told us a bit about the rain forest etc. Would have liked to learn more about the animals, rainfall etc.

A great time with three very different aspects to the experience. Collection from the hotel was punctual and getting booked in went smoothly other than they gave us the wrong tickets initially but soon rectified. Akim, our guide, was brilliant on the tram ride, very informative and amusing. The zip lines were great fun and with the three attachment points felt very safe.

Amazing experience. The driver was extremely professional, patient and on time. The experience was safe and the tour operators made you feel comfortable. I have zero complaints. The weather was perfect for this adventure.

Had an amazing time on the Aerial tram as it ascended and descended up through the rainforest. Absolutely stunning and followed by a short forest tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and gave lots of interesting information.

We only did the Aerial tram, but we love it. We had a lovely guide, Joanna, who was very pleasant and informative. We saw so many plants, trees and birds. Highly recommend this tour.

This was a fun, educational, and exciting experience. We had a very knowledgeable guide who answered all of our questions about the trees, plants and wildlife. Both of our guides were amazing and so much fun!!

Very friendly staff. They were very knowledgeable and could keep a good conversation going. Also had a good sense of humor and made the entire experience really fun.

Had a bad start as didn't receive an email advising the time of pick up was earlier than advertised so missed our trip on our first attempt, however, had no issues re-scheduling. Picked up on time on our second attempt so all good. Once at the rainforest quickly split into groups of no more than 8. Had two lovely girls Della and Kiara with us for the zip lines. On the short walk to first zip line Della pointed out various trees and plants and explained their uses for medicinal purposes. The girls were great fun. The cable car ride was very peaceful and Della once again was very informative. Great way to spend a morning.

Ziplining was so much for our entire family (mom, dad and 2 teenagers)! Our guides made us feel completely safe and at ease to just be able to enjoy the experience. The tram ride was interesting to see the different elements of the rainforest although my husband thought it should be a faster tram. We learned a lot from our guide and it was nice to relax on the tram after ziplining (although it is up to the guide if you zipline or do the tram first). And nice to be able to get an ice cold Piton after you were done!

Really relaxing tram ride through the beautiful green canopy. Brilliant tour guide! So chilled and stunning views coming back over the canopy. After this we went through all zip lines - excellent fun had by all and well worth it. Loved every minute of it

We loved this experience! The overhead tram was fascinating and a thrill to see the rainforest from this view! Our guide was very knowledgeable about all the trees, plants and birds. We did not do the zip lining, but took a short hike after the overhead tram. I liked that we could pick which experience we wanted and pay for just what we wanted to do. I would recommend this experience as it was very organized and professional!

Very poor communications, received an email the day before the experience with the time and place for pick up. No one showed up. After 1 hour we finally made contact with the company and we're told we were at the wrong meeting place. However we were at the meeting place that was stated on our email, apparently another email should have been sent to us with the amended pick up point. We were picked up 1 hour late and completed the Zip wire experience after all.

Wonderful experience! One of the best zip lines we have ever done. Our guides were amazing- Yanisha & (can’t remember but in photo below). They were very patient and helpful. I had trouble walking up the steep hill back to the tram and they took my gear off and carried it for me. Our bus driver stopped 2x and picked local fruit for us to taste- a very nice touch. This whole tour was run very professionally.

Very poor communication from the excursion staff. We were at the lobby 15 minutes prior to our scheduled pickup time only to be told the excursion car had already been there and left. When I called the excursion operator, they said they sent me an email indicating the pickup time. They did not send an email or call. They did however send an instant message through the Viator app at 8:30 indicating the would pick us up at 8:20. Not only was the message sent after the pickup time, the Viator app does have a notification system when an instant message is received. In my opinion, Viator needs to work with the excursion companies to improve their communication to the customer.

We loved the canopy tram! so peaceful and beautiful! ziplining was great! tour guide was great too!! met great people from germany and canada during our time! everyone so nice!
