Lovely moments with Ines sharing recipes and stories and learning how to cook a delicious tagine. Lots of useful tips. Very open and friendly. We shared what we cooked with her in a traditional lounge

Welcome to my cooking class. Vegan and vegetarian are welcome. Leave Morocco with treasured family recipes, vibrant flavors, and memories to last a lifetime. Begin your journey with a lively virtual tour of a real Moroccan local market, where I’ll guide you through bustling stalls, and help you select the freshest spices, vegetables and ingredients just as if you were walking through the souks with me. Then, step into my kitchen and learn to cook the way my Dada (my grandmother) taught me. These aren’t just recipes they’re family traditions passed down through generations, shared with the same love and care I grew up with. You’ll learn the art of crafting perfect Moroccan mint tea. You’ll get a rare glimpse into local life, far from the tourist trail. Ask questions, learn Moroccan words, and connect deeply with the culture. Finally, we’ll gather in our authentic Moroccan salon a traditional room where we’ll share the meal together, just like a Moroccan family. Here, you’ll taste the true meaning of hospitality. This isn’t just a cooking class it’s an immersion into Moroccan life, where every flavor tells a story and every meal feels like coming home.

Great cooking class with Inas. She checked in beforehand to see what we wanted to cook, which made the experience feel tailored to us. Upon arrival we were welcomed into her home and also met her mother, which added to the authentic local feel. Inas was organized, clear in her instructions, and kept things moving while still making it hands-on and enjoyable. We prepared mint tea, harira soup, lamb tagine, and a vegetable salad—all of which turned out excellent. Overall, the class was a well-run, authentic experience with great food and a welcoming host.
Cooking in Casablanca was a success! Inaz was a wonderful host and chef! We enjoyed meeting her parents and learning about Morocco as well as food! We prepared lamb tagine with prunes and almonds and a delicious salad! Will definitely try making! A very enjoyable experience !
This was a wonderful experience with Inas. The food we learned how to cook was so tasty. She is gracious and welcomed us into her family home. Can’t wait to try what we learned when we get home.
Wonderful cooking lesson &delicious lunch with a lovely young teacher We learnt much about Moroccan culture through its food.
This was the Best part of our stay in. Casablanca. From the warm welcome from all the family members to the wonderful experience of cooking our own marocan meal, everything was perfect!
Inas was an outstanding hostess, and she was a wonderful "cooking instructor". She welcomed us into her home and immediately we felt as if we'd known her for years. All our questions about food, cooking and Morocco in general were answered with great detail. It's a "hands on" class with lots of participation and instructions. Once we cooked the meal we all sat around her table and enjoyed the fruits of our labor. She sent us all the recipes from out lunch along with a few others. The time we spent with Inas was the highlight of our time in Casablanca. We highly recommend this excursion; you won't go wrong.
We had a fun fabulous evening with Ina and her parents. We loved the hands on class where we made very delicious lamb tangine with prunes and almonds along with a Moroccan salad. Inas treated us to a traditional mint tea ceremony as well with yummy sweets. Then she served the outstanding meal to us in their beautiful living room that her mom decorated in a traditional Moroccan style. Inas taught us so much about Moroccan every-day life and culture too. This was an outstanding experience we will always remember. Highly recommend it!
Inas was lovely and it was a very authentic experience in a local home. The tangine was the best I had tasted in two weeks of travel.
I had a private cooking experience with Inas. She was an amazing teacher and hostess as we made Tagine chicken with raisins, prunes and roasted almonds as well as a traditional Moroccan salad. She encouraged me to do most of the cooking, with her oversight of course. While the main dish was cooking, we enjoyed traditional Moroccan mint tea along with sweets typical of Morocco. The main meal was served in her beautiful living room with amazing decorations and gorgeous traditional plates. Inas was engaging, energetic, and funny. It was the perfect Moroccan cooking experience. I would definitely choose this activity with Inas again.
Inas was an amazing host and chef! She provided detailed information in advance about where to meet and what was on the menu for dinner. I was able to easily follow the directions provided to arrive at the meeting point. We cooked a delicious couscous dinner with salad and mint tea. Inas was very welcoming and I definitely recommend this event for anyone looking to have a Moroccan cooking experience.
Inas and her family were great hosts. She was very communicative and made sure we knew where we were going (it was the first day of our trip). Even though I consider myself an experienced cook, I learned several tips and tricks and new ways of preparing the meat and vegetables for our meal. She welcomed us with tea and cookies and made us feel right at home with her. I recommend this outing to anyone interested in seeing how the real Morocco lives and cooks.
This event was the highlight of our time in Casablanca. Inas is an absolute delight and was an incredible host. We felt so welcomed and comfortable in her home. My niece is a huge "foodie" and was not disappointed. We made the lamb tagine with vegetables. It was delicious. I ate way too much. The mint tea was a hit and we had fun learning how to pour it. This truly is a must to learn about the Moroccan culture.
Inas did a great job of helping us prepare a delicious traditional Moroccan meal in her home. The meal consisted of two Tagines, salad, treats and tea.
Inas' cooking class is great! Stop right now and book it. I'll wait... Okay, now details: First, the food was terrific and fun to prepare. Under Inas' instruction, we made two different tagines, Moroccan salad and tea. Heavenly bread and yummy sweet cakes accompanied our meal. We saw a cool video of the myriad local ingredients Inas acquired from the local markets down the street. This was a fascinating, fun and exceptionally tasty way to experience life in Casablanca. Really worth it. You signed up, right?
Inas was very good at responding to messages. She asked us what we wanted to learn to make and organised the evening around that. The chicken tagine we made was delicious. We learned so much about Morocco and the culture. It was wonderful to meet her and her lovely parents. Very enjoyable evening. Also appreciated the recipes being sent to us afterwards so we can hope to recreate when we arrive home
We really enjoyed learning about Moroccan cooking methods and traditions. The food we prepared, Moroccan salad and sweet and savory chicken Tagine was delicious. Directions to the home were excellent, communication was great and we felt very welcomed by Inas and her family. Highly recommend!
Upon arriving, we were welcomed by our hostess Inas and introduced to her family. The hospitality was so gracious we felt immediately as if we were extended family. We shared in preparing lamb tagine with prunes, apricots and almonds as well as Moroccan salad and mint tea . The melding of spices along with the tenderness of the lamb was incredible. I By the way - our dinner with Inas was way more flavorful than the dinner we had at Rick’s Cafe the night before!! Thank you Inas for a lovely even- I will definitely be making this same dish for my guests.
We had a lovely evening with Inas. We were warmly welcomed by her and her parents, sharing cooking, culture and eating and now we know how tagines and mint tea are made! Thank you for an enjoyable evening!
A lovely evening with Inas and her parents. We helped cook a delicious lamb tangine- Inas was a gracious host and we really enjoyed our evening. Thanks Inas! Hopefully I can buy a tangine while in Morocco to take home and recreate our meal once I am home :)
Our cooking class with Inas was such a delight. Sharing recipes passed down from her grandparents, and teaching us about the ingredients and importance of the dishes in celebrations.
Wonderful experience, such a lovely family, and such delicious food! We will make these dishes at home and think of our time in Morocco for years to come!
What a wonderful time we had! Inas and her family are so warm and welcoming. Lots of conversation and laughter. I will be thinking back on this day for a long time. I hope we get a chance to visit again.
Inas is a talented home chef with an incredible love for and expertise in Moroccan cuisine. She is also an amazing teacher who was able to masterfully work with a wide range of ages and cooking experiences within our family to help us create an outstanding culinary masterpiece that included couscous and two types of tagine. Our meal also included a mini class on how to prepare and serve Moroccan mint tea, which was simply the cherry on top for all of us. We will never forget this experience and cannot wait to return to enjoy another meal with Inas in the future.
We had such a great time cooking with Inas. She showed us how to make chicken tagine with preserved lemon and olives, and it turned out so good. Even though the local market in Sidi Moumen was closed for Eid, she still took us around the neighborhood, which gave us a nice feel for the area. We mentioned we were curious about Harira, and she kindly let us try some — it was amazing. Inas and her family were so friendly and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere was really cozy and relaxed. It felt less like a class and more like being invited into someone’s home. Highly recommend this experience if you're looking for something authentic and down-to-earth while in Morocco.
This was my first adventure as a solo traveller in Morocco. It was such a treat to go into a family’s home, to cook and then eat delicious local food. I was given excellent advice on where to get out of the taxi and was met when I arrived.
We had a wonderful day with Ines and her family. We had a choice of meals and shopped accordingly and she gave us a lot of information on how to prepare a proper tagine and tips on making a lovely mint tea. Would highly recommend this experience.
We had a lovely day with Inas and her family learning about the Moroccan culture and cooking. She was very flexible with what we wanted to cook and was therefore able to work around dietary intolerances. It was helpful to do this at the start of our holiday.
This is a once in a lifetime experience where you get to spend your time in Morocco with a local family who takes you to the market, which was a great experience. She got a spices to take home. The food she cooked was incredible. Her family was incredible. She made sure we had transportation to and from her home. I recommend this experience to everyone that visits Morocco. Don’t miss this experience you’ll be sorry if you do.
Wonderful experience! We were made so welcome at Inas home. She is very lively, knowledgeable and a fantastic hostess. The food was delicious and we highly recommend this experience. Great value and also educational. Inas included all of us when she took us shopping for the ingredients and during the preparation of each dish.
Wow! What a great way to immerse yourself in a cooking class. Hands on from shopping for ingredients at the local souk to preparing chicken tagine with olives and preserved lemons and salad, along with brewing and serving traditional mint tea. Met chef Inas' parents and enjoyed traditional, as well as current Moroccan music. She even helped arrange transportation from our hotel to their apartment. Delicious food and memorable family:)
Inas gave us a warm, authentic and memorable experience, welcoming us into her home, allowing us to choose a meal, guiding us in shopping for ingredients at the local souk (market), demonstrating proper cooking techniques step-by-step, and allowing us to join in. While the tajine cooked, we enjoyed Moroccan tea and chatted about the history and culture of this beautiful country. The vegetables and meat were fresh, and spices were ground in front of us! This is an incredible experience we’ll never forget, we can’t recommend it highly enough!
The cooking class experience with this wonderful young woman was everything as described, and even more pleasantness! A most friendly greeting upon arrival, shopping at the local market for foods and spices, the cooking experience, and the eating was even more than I hoped it would be. I did not know it was going to be a hosted bountiful tea service with delectable confections. I was once a personal chef, and I learned much in this cooking class nevertheless! We had great conversations about Morrocan cooking, and also other cuisines, such as my Greek culinary background. The meal that we prepared together and then consumed together it was a very hearty repast! We couldn't quite finish it all, so good idea to take more people with you when you attend this class! She sent me on my way with some fresh fruit also! What a treat… I would love to do this one again someday with more people!
Inas is a wonderfully interesting person who willingly shared her love of cooking and her culture. To be welcomed into her home was a unique way to start my Moroccan holiday
This visit was one of the top highlights of our 2-week Morocco visit; just a wonderful, relaxing, and fun experience. Unlike the more formal tours and experiences we had that were geared for tourists, this is what it would be like to be invited to visit a work colleague or new friend's home to meet the family and share a meal. The other in-home dining experiences we had were really in-home restaurants that, while nice, didn't give us a sense of what daily life is like in Morocco. Inas is a wonderful hostess and her hospitality is touching and genuine. Set in a residential neighborhood, this is off the beaten tourist path. The street market is where local families shop. It was a delight to hands-on cook with ingredients we shopped for that day. Meeting Inas and her family and sharing an afternoon together - all while learning Moroccan recipes (that I've already tried at home) is priceless. To be honest, there's not that much to see or do in Casablanca, especially if you're visiting other parts of Morocco. This experience made our Casablanca time as memorable as the rest of our trip. Give yourself some extra time to get there and back (35-45 min each way); Inas is outside the central city. She can recommend drivers or public transport options.
What a wonderful way to finish my visit to Morroco! I was greeted by Inas and welcomed by her family into their home. We chatted, chose a menu, then walked to a nearby market/souk. To see the very fresh produce, have Inas explain why she chooses one tomato or onion over multiple others was a terrific experience. I’m a good cook but have never tested an onion for freshness! I wish I could have taken photos, but Inas explained that these people are private and not used to cameras, etc. There were donkeys with fresh produce. I particularly liked the man with a cartload of ‘cherry’ tomatoes. Back to Inas home and much chopping and slicing of vegetables. Inas explained why she did things and taught me a few new tricks! I was asked what I would choose to cook, and of course chose a tagline! Chicken with apricots and prunes. Yum! It was delicious and will definitely become a regular in my cooking repertoire. What a truly memorable experience. Thank you Inas, and your parents, for being so welcoming. Gay, Australia.
Amazing experience with a lovely family. We felt at home and were comfortable. I highly recommend this experience to anyone in casablanca
It was a great experience immersing in local culture and most especially being with a Moroccan family. Inas, our main host taught us a lot about the Moroccan dishes involving the tagine and couscous. We went to the local market, away from tourists and shopped for the ingredients of the dishes we chose to cook. Inas taught us the basics of choosing the fresh ingredients as well as the spices. We then went ahead and prepared chicken tagine and couscous with chicken and vegetables plus a side of Moroccan salad. My children, who are teenagers were very engaged in cutting the vegetables, mixing all the ingredients and whole waiting, had a great conversation about Moroccan culture while sipping mint tea and having some traditional Moroccan sweets. The highlight of it all was when we sat and ate the dishes we prepared. All of the food was delicious! I have to say, it was the tastiest meal I had in Morocco!
Fabulous experience, a warm welcome, clear cooking instructions, step by step guidance, Ines has wonderful local knowledge and a beautiful way of sharing her culinary world and her mother and grandmother’s recipes. Love loved loved this experience.
Despite having a great description from the tour provider, Inas, we did not know what to expect when visiting the private home of a family of a different religion, a different background and from the other side of the Earth. Let me tell you, it was amazing and so... familiar. First, Inas met us on the first floor of her modest but charming apartment building. It was very clean and in a good working class neighborhood. She showed us upstairs where we met her father who introduced himself and left. Then we headed to the market. I love visiting markets all over the world as it really helps you understand and describe the culture. After a short walk, we were at the market. I would say if I had to describe it and Moroccan culture in one short phrase it would be "a vibrant collage". There are farm fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and even shops with electronics. Inas answered all of our questions and helped me buy some spices to take home while we shopped for our ingredients for the lemon chicken tagine we requested. Then, we went back to prepare the meal. After returning, we met Inas' mom who didn't speak much English but was so nice and joyful. Inas prepared a wonderful Moroccan tea service and explained how to make the tea (hint: a HANDFUL of fresh mint). Then her dad came back and we started talking and he explained some of the things we had seen on tours from a working class Moroccan's perspective. It was great. As he was scrolling through the TV for entertainment for us, he saw a Kenny Rogers song and began to talk about his love of music in general and Kenny Rogers in specific. At that point, I probably looked like I didn't quite believe this so he asked if I like "The Gambler". I told him that I loved that song. So then, he played the music video and started some karaoke! We sung The Gambler TWICE and it was awesome. Then, we began to cook. Inas showed us the proper way to prepare Moroccan salad (cilantro, Italian parsley, cucumber, onion, tomato, red wine vinegar, olive oil and salt & pepper). Then it was on to the main course - chicken tagine. She walked us through the entire process from cleaning the chicken to how to make preserved lemons to cooking everything to perfection. She even gave us the recipes and recommended a YouTube channel for additional recipes. Then we feasted. It was all delicious and we had a great time. Inas called us a cab and we left full and feeling like family. Thanks Inas!
We absolutely loved the cooking class experience with Inas. She is a wonderful person — charming, a fantastic cook, a great communicator, and everything you can learn with her is both fascinating and delightful. We truly enjoyed the experience and would definitely do it again. We highly recommend her! With her, we cooked a pastilla and a tagine, both of which were absolutely delicious. Bravo, Inas!
This is such a memorable and tasty experience! Our cooking school teacher, is a darling lady. We also met her dad and mom. We loved our market tour. It was so interesting to see how the vendors displayed the produce, spices and meat. The cooking was so complete. Lamb and vegetables and chicken and vegetables. She went through many techniques and tricks! We loved the food!!
This was the most authentic experience. Inas is so detailed! A true young, bright entrepreneur. She provided detailed instructions to her neighborhood which is far away from center city and other tourists. We picked out fresh vegetables and spices then went back to the home and had a delightfully engaging evening learning to cook Moroccan couscous. This was nothing like the couscous we have a home. We prepared Moroccan mint, green tea while listening to traditional and modern Moroccan music. Everyone should have a special experience like this during a visit to Casablanca!
Inas and her family were amazing hosts. We met at her house and then took a leisurely walk to the local outdoor market. We strolled through the neighborhoods like locals and felt accepted and welcomed. This was truly the experience we were hoping to give our children.
Time spent with a local family is as authentic as it gets. Shopping in the local street market, preparing the food in the family apartment, speaking as friends. There is nothing more enriching than this experience.
I had an amazing time walking through markets and learning to cook Moroccan food. Definitely recommend! Inas and her family were very welcoming!
Our Moroccan cooking class and market shopping experience with Inas was an absolute highlight of our trip! From the very beginning, Inas was incredibly thoughtful and helpful—she provided clear instructions, sent helpful pictures, and even communicated with our taxi driver to make sure we arrived without any issues. Her warm and welcoming family made us feel right at home. We quickly planned our meal together and headed to the local market, where Inas involved us in selecting fresh produce and ingredients. It was such a fun and authentic way to see Moroccan daily life and cuisine in action. Back at her home, we dove into meal prep. Inas patiently guided us through each step—demonstrating techniques and encouraging us to participate hands-on in both preparation and cooking. Once the ingredients were placed in the tagine to cook, we learned how to prepare traditional Moroccan mint tea and enjoyed it with delicious Moroccan pastries while the meal simmered. When the tagine was ready, we sat down to enjoy one of the best meals we had in Morocco: a Sweet and Savory Chicken Tagine with apricots and plums. It was flavorful, comforting, and deeply satisfying. This experience was perfect for the whole family—our 14-year-old son had a great time and stayed engaged the entire time. We highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting Morocco. It’s more than a cooking class—it’s an immersive cultural experience we’ll never forget. Thank you,

By far one of the most meaningful and memorable experiences of our lives. Inas is an amazing host and welcomed us into her family. We weee invited to celebrate Iftar with the family and felt honored. The cooking experience was fun and informative, but the time being welcomed into a family… priceless. Thank you for honoring us with this gift. We learned so much about your culture and appreciate the opportunity immensely❤️
A walk to the local market was fun . But was probably the best food to be had in Morocco. Loved it. I would definitely suggest this if you were thinking about it.
