I enjoyed visiting the secret garden and the beautiful exotic botanicals. The tour guides were all very courteous and kind.

Located next to the mosque of the Kasbah, the Saadian tombs are one of the only remains of the Saadian dynasty that reigned over the golden age of Marrakech between 1524 to 1659

Jamaâ El Fna is a destination for all magic, and tells its storytellers, dancers, water sellers and snake charmers, the history of Morocco from yesterday and today while subduing its visitors by Its charm which begins in the morning and finds its height only in the evening.

The souks of Marrakech are the largest in Morocco and famed throughout the world as some of the most exotic marketplaces to shop in.
The Menara gardens are botanical gardens located to the west of Marrakech, Morocco, near the Atlas Mountains. They were established in the 12th century by the Almohad Caliphate ruler Abd al-Mu'min. The name menara derives from the pavilion with its small green pyramid-shaped roof, meaning lighthouse.
The origins of the complex date back to the Saadian Dynasty, more than four hundred years ago.
Palmeraie is a palm oasis of several hundred thousand trees outside of Marrakesh, Morocco. Situated at the edge of the city's northern section, it measures 5 miles in length, and covers an area of 54 square miles where you will enjoy your camel ride.

Reviews
Our driver was wonderful. He was polite and kind. The palace was lovely. The market felt a little rushed and very crowded. The camel ride was fun.
The tour itself was good. It was a long day from Casablanca. I feel like our local guide took us to his friend's shops and we did not get the deals we could have. He did not seem to want us to stop at any other vendors. The tour of the market seemed rushed as did the time we had for lunch. The camel ride at the end was a lot of fun and a perfect way to end our vacation. The driver from Casablanca was very professional and a great driver. Be aware while at the market. We feel like we were ripped off with our purchases. It was a great experience, just the same.
This experience was much like the reviews previously posted so it didn't come as a surprise. We were rushed through the market place and not allowed to stop anywhere we wanted to. The tour guide rushed us to places we didn't want to go. The tour guide seemed to be reading from a script and couldn't answer supplemental questions. The tour guide wouldn't wait for the group to be together to explain items so we missed most of what he said. It seemed as if we missed several pieces of our tour but we were told afterwards that we had been to these places but no one has explained that to us. Lunch was at a good place. It was worthwhile to get to Marrakech but very rushed and not very informative. The driver was great!!! We loved the driver. He made stops for us and drove in a safe manner.
Zero stars!!! Because we never got to do this tour. We were apprehensive about this tour because it got so many bad reviews, but believe me, we had the worst experience because we never even got to take it. We were waiting outside our hotel, even before the time they said to meet, but the driver came, and never properly identified himself to us, and then he left without us. To be fair. They did message me on WhatsApp, but Service was spotty and I did not get my message until later. I told him we have been waiting for a long time, but they refused to listen to us. They kept saying we were a no-show. They refused to give us a refund. They did not even offer to meet us somewhere along the way if we took a separate taxi. They must’ve been just only about 10 minutes away from us. I told them that we had been waiting for a long time, and that they did not properly try to identify us or identify themselves. The wonderful people at the front desk tried to get the tour company to understand that we had been waiting in front at the slotted time. The tour company told them that they asked for us at the front desk but this was a lie. The front desk people who had been there since way before our meeting time said no one came and asked for us. The least they could’ve done after all this was at least kindly give us a refund. But they refused to give us a refund and kept saying we were no-show. They sent a picture of the front of the hotel saying that the driver was there. I told her that you can see my sister in that picture meeting that we were not no-show! But they refuse to listen. Eventually, they stopped even reading my messages. I try to get a refund from Viator, and at first they seem to be cooperating with us, but then eventually, they refuse to give us a refund. How do you not give a refund when we were there right in front of the hotel we didn’t know they were there and they didn’t know we were there. So the least they could do is give us a refund!! We had booked tours in Fes and in Spain as well, and never had an issue with people identifying us. We had a lovely tours everywhere else. This was the first horrible experience and it was with horrible Easy Transfers. We found out later through other people that this is not a good company. We ended up getting a private taxi last minute because we had only that day to tour Marrakesh since we were leaving soon and had Rabat booked for the next day. Thankfully, the next day tour was with a different company and they were wonderful. If you want to book anything book it through Premium tours, not through Easy Transfers, this is a horrible company.
We had scheduled a different day for our excursion but agreed to move the date when asked by the booking company. We were picked up by the drver at the hotel. Another young couple was also picked up after us. We didn’t know this couple. The driver was great. The guide was terrible. He refused to allow us to purchase anything in the souk while he walked us around for about 2 hours and demanded we only visit shops where he got a commission. This meant our whole time was spent looking at rugs we did not want, tea and spice we didn’t want, a lecture on dyeing wool we didn’t want, etc. we were then taken to a restaurant where we were showed one lunch choice. It was represented as 250 d (about $25 US). We had to share this meal with the other couple who was with us on the tour. The food was subpar and wasn’t enough for 4 people but we didn’t say anything. We weren’t allowed to choose what we wanted. When the bill came, it was 4x the amount and for just food it was more than $100 US and another $40 for 4 beers and 1 glass of wine. The other young couple on the tour were as surprised as us at the bill and we ended up having to pay $100 of the check. We were defrauded and forced to spend our shopping money on a lousy lunch just so the guide could get a better commission. At the end of the day, we didn’t get to see all the places and never got to do any shopping. This was a total ripoff and a waste of our time and money. We gave the guide a $20 tip but it was only because we were being polite and he was waiting for a tip from us and the other couple had no money left. This was embarrassing for all of us to be put in this position. We gave the driver $30 tip. The guide asked us at the outset what hotel we were staying at and it was to calculate how much he wanted to scam from us as his commission. We feel like we got totally ripped-off and should get a refund for the tour.
We had an excellent driver, very polite and friendly. However the guide was much below expectations. His English was poor, it was difficult to understand him. He did his job without any enthusiasm. We never went to the secret garden with the entrance fee included in our itinerary. But we stoped in many shops where they tried to sell us all kind of things. We were wasting time there and did not have time to stop in places where we wanted. Overall it was a very nice tour that gave us an overview of the magnificent city of Marrakech and beautiful Moroccan countryside.
The driver, Mehdi, picked us up about a half hour late, which is not unusual to be late in Morocco. He was a quiet, excellent driver who made us feel safe. One of the first stops the local guide in Merekesh made was to a shop where we were given a sales talk. She took us to a number of shops throughout the day. Due the recent earthquake, we were not able to visit the palace. We took a quick walk through the square in Merekesh with no stopping. She was knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. The 30 minute or so camel ride was included.
Let me start by saying it was extremely hot in Marakesh that day, about 110 degrees and I didn't see in the description that it was mostly a walking tour. We were excited about our tour but not about our tour guide. He was a bit robotic and seemed to memorize things and once we asked him something off script he seemed flustered. I don't know if he had an issue with his hearing but he barely responded when we tried to get his attention. I also didn't like that he took us through the market and didn't let us stop at a lot of places to shop and then he let us go to one shop where we were hustled and they charged us more than twice the price at other shops ( I found this out later in the day. Needless to say I was pissed). Then we kept walking on this apprx 3 hrs tour on this extremely hot day... which was not fun. We finally went to lunch which was ok. Then off to the see the camels... that was nice but it was too hot to really enjoy the camel ride. The men who took us on the camel ride were nice. I'm not sure I would do this tour again
Everything was very well organized and an amazing trip. everybody can book this tour with full trust.
Nora as tour guide is very informative and the driver (forgot the name was keeping us safe the entire trip. It was worth the trip if you don't have enough time.
Let me begin by saying the best part of our tour was when our guide Norma left us. She had us rushing through the souks for approximately 3 hours. The only time we stopped is when we chose to shop on our own. We weren't able to stand still and take in the sights long enough, we even made it clear on many occasions that two of us had leg injuries and needed to slow down. Good thing I have a steady function on my camera. Norma started off the tour by telling us we will not be visiting everything on our itinerary because it would take 9 days not 9 hours. Instead, she proceeded to tell us had went ahead and picked the points of interests she felt we would like. She never even bothered asking us three women on the tour what we wanted to see. We were all in agreement that we felt Norma was pushing her religious beliefs on us, instead of providing us with the historical facts of the region. She kept using the phrase "us Muslims" over and over. In addition, Norma overly shared information on trees and native plants and how her religion used them in their daily life. Lastly, I want to be clear our driver was extra accomadating (took us to tour Menara Gardens. One of the women on the tour had asked Norma at least four times she wanted to tour this palace). Our tour guide Norma never checked in with the tourist to ask what we would like to see or do. Although, she was a nice lady she is HORRIBLE at her job!!
Our guide Ismail and our driver Omar were outstanding. They made sure everyone in the group was taken care of and is having a good time. I highly recommend this tour. It was very informative.
I hate to be a Western tourist saying critical things about a service in developing, postcolonial country with a tourism economy, but I was encouraged to write a review to warn others after sharing my experience of this tour with friends. I will start off by saying that I was provided with everything in the advertised itinerary, and that the driver was professional and nice. I did get what I paid for. The less pleasant aspect of the tour was what I got on top of that. The guide was outwardly pleasant, although oddly he didn't really provide any commentary except with respect to the Bahia Palace. Other reviews make positive reference to a female guide--my guide was male (I don't recall his name) and it's possible that my experience was significantly different due to this specific guide's involvement. Not just because of the dearth of commentary but, more significantly, because he clearly was receiving commissions from vendors in the Medina to funnel his guests to their businesses and make it awkward for them to leave without spending. As we approached the Medina he advised me that we were going to go to some shops. I immediately thought "here we go" and I told him that I didn't intend to buy anything. He said we'd check them out anyways, and I didn't protest because...I was on a tour in foreign country and he was my ride back to my hotel in a different city. First shop: Pharmacy/spice shop. I was herded into a basement where an employee showed me some wares and talked about various spices. I heard her out, thanked her, said I wasn't interested and went to leave. The guide directed me over to the owner, who told me it was rude to leave a store without buying anything and made comments about how I come from a rich country. The guide finally left with me after I asked him to leave multiple times. Second shop: Gift shop. I was led around by a shopkeep showing me wares. I did see a knickknack or two that was worth picking up for a larf, and when I inquired as to price the shopkeep refused to answer and just said he'd show me more things and that if I buy enough things he'd give me a good price. He kept trying to show me clothing despite me telling him I wasn't interested. Eventually I left him mid-pitch to go to the guide and ask to leave. The guide again tried to get me to stay in the shop and hear out the shopkeep and I told him that I paid for a tour, I felt uncomfortable in the shop, and I wanted to leave. The guide obliged. Third shop: Silk scarf shop. I was shown the process of them making the products, which was admittedly kind of neat. They then began the sales pitch. I actually did offer to buy one, but stated that I didn't have cash (I needed what I had to tip the driver/guide/camel guy) and offered to pay with a credit card. They first claimed not to have a credit card machine, and tried to make some arrangement with the guide for me to give him money and him to get it to them, before relenting and bringing out a machine. This was a red flag. There had been discussions of payment in Euros, then an amount displayed on the machine that would have been acceptable in MAD but extortionate in Euros (tenfold difference), with no indication of what the currency was. I asked them what currency this was in, and the guy with the machine flipped out, screamed at me and said it was in MAD. I walked out while telling the guide we were leaving. The guide realized the tour was a disaster and tried to salvage it saying he hoped I still had a good time, and I still tipped him generously as a message to him that it wasn't that I was a cheapskate, but rather that I wasn't a rube. I was assertive enough to not get fleeced and honestly found the series of events funny enough to not be mad about it, but I am writing this review because I could see the situation being extremely distressing for certain customers (e.g. young, female solo travelers). I was very cognizant of the fact that I was following the guide around a city I'd never been to, in a foreign country, away from the city where my hotel was. It was a bad situation to be in that put the customer at a disadvantage in the event of conflict, and the guide was clearly exploiting that. It was also obvious that visits to the actual points of interest were shortened in order to make time for the vendors to ply their wares to me, which wasn't appreciated. P.S. - I expected this to be the case, but just to be clear, even though the camel ride is said to be included, the guy managing the rides expects a tip. I came prepared and accepted this beforehand, but there is potential for awkwardness there if you don't.
We were in Casablanca for the day with our cruise. We bought this as an excursion. We were worried the whole time about getting back in time. The passenger van was warm. Didn’t see the Marrakech market we expected, which was disappointing. Great typical lunch and loved the camel ride.
I regret buying this tour. Firstly you sent me a driver who did not explain how this trip works. He kept quiet most of the time, seem reluctant to answer our questions and his English is not up to par. I thought to myself if this is going to be like that the entire trip, might as well call it off. He turned on the radio in the car disregarding whether we wanted it or not. He takes long coffee breaks and we had to wait for him to finish. On the return leg he asked permission for a detour for personal reasons. it was all about himself and not us, the paying customers. And there is no bottled mineral water in the car. Then when we reached Marrakesh he handed us to the guide. Then we understood he was just ferrying us to Marrakesh to our guide who also turned out to be a disappointment. This guide kept walking ahead of us and at one point we lost him. So we decided to wait on the spot for him to come and look for us which he did when he realised we were not with him. Shouldn't he exercise some patience knowing that tourists like to look around a bit and take photos? He seems to be afraid of being in the sun. And he has a mean look about him. I dont blame him for that. Perhaps he was born like that. However that didnt add to our comfort. So you can understand why I will NEVER recommend this product to my friends. I will recommend it only to people I do not like. A really horrible experience compared to the tour the day before where we had an excellent driver cum guide who spoke well and had a sense of humour; so unlike these two curmudgeons. it would not be fair to say that we did not meet anyone nice on this trip. In fact we met some very nice beings; the camels.
Noura was an amazing knowledgeable guide. Personalized the tour to our specific needs and preference of gift choice, to be able to remember Morocco. Thank you Noura!
Norma was very knowledgeable, and made the entire tour relatable and could tell she really loves her job. She made she we had the best experience possible
In one word, the trip was TERRIBLE!! First, we arrived at 7:50 am to meet our driver. We could not find him for several minutes because he was talking with fellow drivers and wasn't holding up a sign...instead he was socializing. My sister just happened to pass by him and tapped him on the arm to ask if he was waiting for anyone. He held up a sign upside down that had my name on it. We then proceeded to make 5 additional stops around Casablanca for a total time of a hour. I understand that this is a shared tour, but an hour....really? Next the van did not have air and the driver didn't speak any English. Throughout the 3 hour drive up and back, the temperature registered from 88 to 103 degrees. The windows didn't open up except for the 3 closest to the driver. It was UNBEARABLE!! It was so hot that one kid through up and had to sit in the front. Next, the camel ride was literally in a parking lot that was covered with sand and a few cactus. They took us around for 15 minutes and one of the guides kept touching the legs of the ladies and saying "please give the guys a nice tip." He said that to me personally 3 times and the other ladies stated that he did the same to them. Finally, our tour guide was awful!! He took us to 2 shopping spots in Marrakech to buy oils (which no one wanted) and to a shop that looked like a antique store. He would not let us stop anywhere else, despite numerous requests from passengers. I am certain that he took us to people that he knew. SMH.....bottom line, don't take this trip!! Not worth it. And for whoever responds, don't tell me that this didn't happen because you weren't there. You should give us our money back for this fiasco. On the contrary, we took a Tuk Tuk ride the following day and that was awesome. Viator needs to do something with this Casablanca to Marrakech Tour.
On the 2.5 hour drive to Marrakesh, the driver never said anything about the country, history or what we will be doing for the whole day. Then when we met the tour guide, he only let us shop at the places I’m sure he got commission on because he wouldn’t let us shop at the vendors at the square, which were a lot cheaper than where he took us to. He never planned for us to eat and it was a full day excursion…so we had to ask for a lunch stop. He never explained the food or menu to us. This was definitely not the quality Viator excursion we had done in the past.
This was a awesome tour of Marrakech, I wish we could of seen more of the city , however we caught the train back and explored on our own.
It was the best of all tours we did in Morocco. Our driver Reda was excellent and made our long trip easy and comfortable. The local guide Nora was exceptional and in our short visit showed us all the best sights in Marakesh explaining everything in detail. Always ask for Nora. On our way back to Casablanca we had another wonderful experience: a camel ride in sunset! Go go it.
Our driver Medi was fantastic and the panoramic Moroccan scenery on the way to Marrakech is great. Our tour guide Akeem was knowledgable and friendly. We had a great time.
Beautiful trip. Our driver was great car was clean. Make sure to bring cash for tips on everything…and admissions to the attractions.
The driver was very friendly and the guide in Marrakech was extremely knowledgeable and seemed to know all of the best places to visit -including some less touristy places like a neighborhood bakery and the furnace for the Hammam bath house. It was a whirlwind day but I felt like I got a good overview of Marrakech and I can’t wait to go back. (Photo of the guide Ebrahim)
The vendor cancelled the trip at last moment without any reason despite confirmation received a day prior to the trip. This is unfair and wasted my full day
We never found the tour operator. There was no one holding a Viator sign amongst 15 bus snd van tour operators outside the cruise ship terminal. We asked several people for help and we’re pointed to a bus to Marrakech but it was the wrong one. We had help calling the tour operator and the first number called referred us to another operator. The second number we were given someone answered snd we were told the Viator driver could not enter the terminal bus area snd we had to walk more than a mile to the street because they did not have permission to enter the bus area. It was 9am by that time which was cutting it close to make the trip and return to the ship on time, so we gave up and took a tour with someone else into Casablanca. Finally at 9:15, someone from Viator contacted us via What’s App to try to find us, but we told them we did not feel confident we could make and enjoy the round trip. We will be reporting this to the credit card company for a full refund.
Tour was to leave from Port. Was several miles from Port. I am handicapped and cannot walk several miles. When contact was attempted with tour agent they gave us different phone numbers for driver 3 different times and none of the phone numbers went through. We have requested refund and will see if Viator is a quality provider or not.
Pickup arrived early! The tour doesn’t have everything included you will have to pay entry on certain things. The guide was amazing and super friendly, as well as the driver. We had an amazing time I definitely recommend!
This was the worst tour ever! The tour company sent me a message the night before indicating that we had to depart 15-minutes early. That wouldn’t have been bad if we didn’t sit outside of another hotel in the van waiting for another woman because they had given her the wrong pickup time. We also wasted much of the day sitting through sales demonstrations for items that we were not interested in. Every person in our tour group agreed that we weren’t interested in rugs, but the tour guide was very insistent that we watch the sales pitch. On top of that, he made my teenage daughter very uncomfortable when he insisted that he take our picture even after I told him that I didn’t want him to take our picture. I wouldn’t recommend this tour to other people even if it was free!
The drive to Marrakech from Casablanca was smooth and pleasant. Once we got to Marrakech, we met the tour guide who was really nice and hit the ground running right away. He walked to the various places to show us. He even assisted in taking our photos. The only thing to add is that they seem to have certain vendors they work with and some of the places (the rugs demonstration) took longer than usual. It would have been nice to do more exploring in the market place. A lot of our time got eaten up at their preferred vendor places. And our tour guide is a speed walker, so be prepared. Lol Overall, great experience and would recommend. Just be aware if you're not interested, let them know and keep moving.
We had a wonderful experience with the Casablanca to Marrakech tour through Viator. Our driver Mehdi was on time and picked us up from the hotel in a comfortable car. He was incredibly courteous and assisted throughout the ride with my wife's painful knee. We arrived in Marrakech and were met with the guide Ahmed was very knowledgeable and took us to all the sites, including the walkthrough of Jamaa el-Fna and the souks. It was chaotic but very entertaining. We also got lunch and went to the Majorelle gardens and the camel ride. All in all, a great day. The only negatives were taking us to various vendors and the pressure to purchase their wares.
The driver was nice, but a bit reserved and made multiple stops along the way without informing us. Not a big deal, just thought it was worth mentioning. The tour included a lot for what you pay, so that was nice. Very informative and educational. The palace was beautiful, as well as the gardens. In terms of shopping, It was irritating that my husband and I were passed from vendor to vendor having to sit through awkward sales pitches. It would have been nice to tell the guide what we were looking for and then he tailor the shopping to our interests. The lunch was delicious, but we weren’t told that we would have to pay extra for it. That should have been included in the tour description. Not that upset that we had to pay, we just wish we would have known. The camel ride was a lot of fun. One of the highlights for sure. Over all, a great tour!
The trip to Marrakech began with a visit to the Koutoubia Mosque which was an incredible example of Almohad architecture. We then went to another architectural gem - the Palacio da Bahia. The Jemaa el-Fnaa wasn't very crowded since it was the middle of the day and the temperature was around 111 F. The Majorelle Garden was a cool respite and was beautiful. Our guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about Marrakech and the city's amazing culture. The camel ride was really fun.
Very good experience. A lot of fun packed into one day. So, we will come back for a longer stay, that's for sure.
We visited koutoubia,Saadian Tombs,Bahia Palace,Majorelle and did the camel ride before have wonderful lunch
Tour guide in Marrakesh was very good. I thought the driver was going to give us info but he didn’t talk, only to his two friends he brought along. I didn’t know we were going to spend a long time picking very expensive carpets. It was an experience but not listed on the itinerary.
This trip was fantastic! The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. We went to the Palace, the Medina, the lunch was greeat!
This tour was fun! A lot of things are packed in it- a tour of Marrakech, shopping in the souks, a typical Moroccan lunch, a visit to a garden, and the camel rides which the kids loved! Would do it again!!!
There are a few "advertisements" on the way. The guide is super friendly, but he has one or more agreements with locals to sell to us. The pharmacy is a waste of time and the restaurant after the market is overpriced.
Viajem confortável com carro com ar condicionado. Tudo foi muito bom, desde a paragem nos camelos e poder andar neles. O mercado em Marraquexe e uma loucura muito boa. Adorei.
Silla and Mehdi served us very well and are very good guides and driver. We had a great day in Rabat thanks to them
We found the excursion very good. However, the guide had to translate for 22 people in Spanish which wastes some time. Do not necessarily go shopping or too long. But other than that we had a great time
We had the pleasure of visiting the city of Marrakech with Khalid, a gentleman who can speak very good French, English, Spanish and Italian. He made us walk through the old walls of the Médina, showed us the mosque and the main palace. He was a great guide, wise is very kind. It stopped if we wanted to take pictures, highly recommended
