Fabulous tour with Issam Jaber — on my first day in Morocco, Casablanca. He was exceedingly thorough as we began with the beautiful Hassan II Mosque, visited a poterie, and many special artisans in the soul in the old Medina. Fabulous! Thank you!

Nestled gracefully along the sun-kissed shores, the Hassan II Mosque commands attention with its unrivaled beauty and exquisite craftsmanship. Immerse yourself in a world of opulence and spiritual transcendence as you enter this magnificent sanctuary. From the moment you step foot inside, you'll find yourself immersed in a realm of unparalleled splendor. Be dazzled by the shimmering marble floors, adorned with intricate mosaics that tell stories of ancient traditions and rich cultural heritage. Lose yourself in the ethereal glow of stained glass windows, casting a kaleidoscope of vibrant hues upon the faithful who gather in prayer. Prepare to be captivated, inspired, and forever transformed by the captivating allure of the Hassan II Mosque – an experience that will linger in your heart and mind long after you've bid farewell to its majestic embrace.
The reinvigorating Atlantic breeze is what attracts local to the coastline. Whether for jogging, a fashionable restaurant or distractions. The corniche remains the fashionable escape from the crowds and pollution of the city. Additionally, we will be able to see the first lighthouse in the city which stands as a hero against the Atlantic rough winds and waves.
Driving through Anfa, you'll discover an exclusive hilltop neighborhood with broad palm-lined avenues, lush gardens and stylish villas built over the last century. Though now demolished, the Hotel d'Anfa was the site of the historic 1943 meeting where President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill finalized the date of the Normandy Allied landings.
Filled with stunning Art Deco buildings from the 1930s, a stroll through the city center reveals structures and infrastructure dating back to the 1920s and 1930s. While these buildings are meant to comply with the rental law of '45, many have been neglected and left abandoned. Only a few scattered villas have been renovated, highlighting the rarity of such restoration efforts. Despite the city's lack of prioritization, a local association strives to preserve and honor the historical significance of Casablanca's architectural heritage.
The European market where most of the expatriates in the 30s used to come for groceries, pork and wine. Nowadays, it is well known for today's fish cut, fruit and vegetables and strangely flowers as well.
Step inside this sacred sanctuary and be transported through time, as the echoes of prayers and the artistic marvels of its construction envelop your senses. Experience the profound spirituality and cultural significance that Notre Dame de Lourdes has bestowed upon Casablanca for over a century, and embrace the palpable connection to faith and heritage that resonates within its hallowed walls. Today, Notre Dame de Lourdes stands as a cherished historical and religious landmark in Casablanca. Its rich history and architectural beauty draw visitors from around the world, offering a glimpse into the enduring legacy of Catholicism in Morocco.
Well, here you will spend the majority of the time, a multitude of traditional shops around. The decore is so captivating to the extent that you don't feel time passing. The village built with all the commodities that local Moroccan would need, it was primarily meant to accommodate new dwellers coming from different regions of the kingdom. It has all the necessary facilities that locals will need, namely mosques, community oven, houses and of course the majestic palace. The subtle mixture between French architecture and moorish style is truly awesome. However, because of these features the village ended attracting wealthy businessmen instead this .explains the number of shops owned by wealthy people from Fes.
Discover the hidden gem just a stone's throw away from the Sacred Heart Church: the city's sprawling park, a verdant oasis like no other. This lush haven plays a vital role as the vibrant lungs of the entire metropolitan area, invigorating the senses with its abundant greenery. Prepare to be captivated by the enchanting tapestry of plant life and the symmetrical allure of the palm trees that grace its landscape. A visit to this park is an exquisite retreat, beckoning you to Indulge in leisurely strolls along winding pathways, bask in the warm sunlight, or simply find solace amidst the sheltering foliage. The park has been meticulously revitalized multiple times, ensuring it remains a captivating sanctuary for all. Each renovation breathes new life into this cherished space, guaranteeing an experience that never fails to astound. So, surrender to the allure of this majestic park and experience the epitome of natural splendor right in the heart of the city.
In Mohammed V Square, you'll discover other striking architectural landmarks including fine Mauresque buildings; emerging in the early 1900's, this unique architectural style blended traditional Moroccan elements with European influences including French Art Deco.

Group of 5 toured Rabat with Issam. Learned about Morocco’s history and current political system and what daily life is like. Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant.
A great and educational experience. Issam is so knowledgeable and has unique access to places that you will not visit with other guides. This is especially true if you book thru a cruise ship. He is very considerate about everything! The transport arrangements are seamless as you visit various places. I’m such a strange country, we felt so at ease. For me in particular, Inshared some family history with Issam because I wanted to learn about the culture and connecting cultures. I learned so very much. He was interested in my story and worked that into EVERYTHING.
The experience was fantastic. The tour guide was awesome. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We visited all the important places in Casablanca.
The tour was great and hit all the points we wanted to see. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, clearly articulated his messages, was very friendly and considerate. The driver was great, as well.
Amine the driver was great. Polite and careful while we were touring around Casablanca. The guide seemed disinterested in spending time with us. Often on his phone or waiting outside for us.
Our tour of Morocco with Issam Jaber and his driver, Ali, far exceeded our expectations. Issam’s extensive knowledge of the history of the city and his exceptional knowledge of the Hassan ll Mosque made this tour truly memorable. He enthusiastically shared his culture and Islamic faith with us…answering all off our questions…which were many. The tour included the Hassan ll Mosque, the Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, several Parks, the kings Palace, and several interesting markets. We ended the tour with lunch in a local market place restaurant where he arranged for us to experience a real “locals” lunch…including camel which was surprisingly good. If you are looking to take a tour of Casa Blanca, do not hesitate to take Issam’s. You will be very happy you did!
Where and how to begin…our 10 day trip to Europe could never have been quite the magic it was if it wasn’t for arriving in Casablanca and meeting Issam. Do NOT go to Morocco without a tour with him. He is warm, intelligent, well read, a wonderful listener, fun and will make every bit the difference in your experience discovering the wonderful history, diversity and beautiful atmosphere that Casablanca offers. I can’t wait to get back again soon to have Issam show us even more! He will become your friend, not merely your guide, when your time with him is over. 🙏Thank you from the bottom of my heart Issam! You are missed by us all already. Until we meet again my friend. Kerry Van Donge Santa Barbara, Ca.
We were 4 adults who were met at the cruise port at the time we wanted with a clean new Mercedes van. Water was provided and the driver was very good and drove very safe. Our guide Islama was wonderful and showed us so much which could never of been done with the cruise ships tour. It was well worth it and we and our family plan to use him in the future. You can not go wrong with this tour
We missed many things that were listed on this tour due to our guy taking us to a carpet store and it took up about an hour of our time. Just be aware to tell them you do not want to have a carpet presentation. Also, I had to be back at the hotel a certain time and I had to ask forcefully to be returned to the hotel. I think he was trying to take us to another restaurant where he gets a commission. The guide was informative and the places we went were good. We felt very safe. I would just be aware of the places you are going and be sure it is the stuff listed on the itinerary.
Driver was terrific and guide showed us a lot of areas of the city as well as the attractions. Would recommend
pro-service: EXCELLENT! among all the agency I contacted, Issam is the most responsive one, since I am very worried about my elder uncle who is in wheelchair to visit somewhere never been. During trip:EXCELLENT! very well knowledged, very helpful with our wheelchair, very polite and passionate about what he is doing, the way he telling the story is fancinating, we learned a lot about their culture; always very pleaseant to have him as guide, at the end, we can choose our own restaurnt instead of the tourism trap, he is also very kindly explaining the food , thus we are able to order the delicious one. Even the driver Youssef is also very very helpful to move the wheelchair, help my uncle get in/out of the car. I will definitely recommend for another time or other guests! The best experience in Morocco! Thanks for morocco local tours provide such a nice tour. Hope can come back for another longer tour!
Our guide Abdul gave a nice tour of the Mosque, providing lots of history and explanations, along with a brief city tour. It was a nice experience.
Grand Mosque except construction noise was terrible. Guide did not honor our request to stop for restroom break.
This was a great way to get to see and experience Casablanca as newbies to the city with a private guide. Our guide, Issam, was fluent in English, friendly, courteous and punctual with a lot of knowledge of history of Casablanca and its major sights. It was a great way to cover a lot of ground in 5 hours and also experience some local markets and taste some food. He was happy to include a few pit stops of interest to us. Highly recommend for people who don't want to coral in a large group and want a more authentic and boutique experience. We had a lot of fun and was a perfect way to see the city.
Isaam is a very knowlgeable, friendly, and engaging guide. He is a local, and he gave us insights into the city, the people, and the culture of Casablanca and Morroco. No questions were off limits, and Isaam gave us thoughtful and nuanced answers. His English is impeccable. Isaam was very responsive to our interests and provided great recommendations for the rest of our time in Morocco. When we asked about spices, he not only took us to the right market area, but to the stall that had room for us to easily walk around and he gave us guidance on what to buy - we can't wait to cook at home and raise a glass to him. At our request, he joined us for a wonderful lunch, and we couldn't have been happier with what he selected for us to try, and the stories he shared about his family's meals and celebrations. We couldn't have asked for a better introduction to his city.
When coming to a new city we are always excited about seeing the main attractions of the city but also we are keen to learn about the culture, history and essence of the place. Our guide Mounir ticked every box for us and more. What an incredibly cheerful, kind, attentive and knowledgable guide. The pace of the tour was perfect, and we covered a lot of ground and attractions. Our driver Amin was also just wonderful. Mounir showed us the true essence of the city and answered every question we had right down to whether he feels optimistic about the future of Morocco. His language skills are perfect and his manner is beautifully suited to ensuring that his clients have a wonderful day. We loved the trip and could not recommend this tour more highly. If possible ask for Mounir… you won’t regret it.
My favorite part of the experience was that the tour guide and i connected on so many different levels that he tailored the excursion on the spot. Saw the synogogue and because we both bake he took me to the jewish bakery.. then we followed up with Hassan mosque. Which was brilliant. And the customs which are similar to judaic customs. And then a shopping spree.. it was a lovely experience!
We had an awesome day with our guide Mounir! It was a great combination of walking and riding, and a balance of fun and educational experiences. We were able to experience much of what Casablanca had to offer. Our A\C-equipped bus was clean and seemed to be well-maintained. The driver (I can't remember his name) was just as friendly and he impressed us with his driving skills in what appeared to be complete chaos on the streets there. :-) I highly recommend them if you're heading to Casablanca.
Munir (and driver) were fantastic. Intimate knowledge of the City and more importantly, when to visit attractions. Munir was most willing to accommodate the group's asks and schedule. Munir is a native, and so we were able to see areas that were wonderful yet not so "touristy". Shout out to the driver who got out out of traffic like a ninja!
Shoutout to our wonderful guide Abdallah and to our lovely driver for making us feel truly perfect on our tour! Everything from the explanations, the casual, relaxed and insightful conversations, the permanent strive to show us a bit more, to suit our style made us feel very welcome in Casablanca! I feel I know more, not just about the city but about the people of Morocco, what they cherish, what they like doing, how they live, how history has left its mark on the historical quarters! I am really grateful for the hours spend together with our guide. It made my trip so much more enjoyable!
Great experience with Mounir. He was very nice and had a great time talking to him and asking questions about the local environment!
We loved our tour of the mosque and were taught so much. We are grateful for what we learned. We were taken for a coffee and another view of the beautiful mosque. We then enjoyed visiting other places in the city. Our ship was only in port a short time, but we felt we had an amazing introduction to Casablanca. Do not hesitate to book. Know that if you want to be picked up and dropped off at the port. It needs to be cleared 48 hours ahead of time. Thank you again for a wonderful tour.
Great tour guide! Very knowledgeable and professional. He met us right outside the cruise terminal exit gate.
Our guide was professional and knowledgeable and gave us a great tour of the city, stopping at the most important highlights. He was also very gracious and brought us to a lovely cafe and treated us to the most wonderful Moroccan mint tea. Additionally he made time to show us a bakery we had heard about in the charming Habous quarter as well as toured that area, providing various insights on its development. A very delightful day!!
Issam is a fantastic guide. Not only does he describe what he is showing you comprehensively in good English but he also gives you a great insight into Moroccan life and is happy to have a conversation about whatever interests you. He shows an interest in you as a person not just as another client. This is so refreshing - so many guides are only interested in their narrow script. I only had the pleasure of his company for a morning but wished I could have had him with me for the rest of my stay in the country.
We decided to try to take a private tour - and we are absolutely happy that we did and chose exactly this one. It all started with the fact that we had the opportunity to choose a suitable time, and not adjust our schedule as for a typical tourist tour. For people who find it difficult to get up early, this is very important :) We also had the opportunity to adapt the route as we needed it. To visit and spend more time exactly in those places where we wanted to visit in the first place. Isaam picked us up from the hotel right on time, not only gave us a tour and told us about the history of places but also shared vital insights that we even can't imagine. And what we'll use all time while we are staying in Morocco. Isaam is not just a guide, he is a wonderful person, after meeting whom you want to be friends and continue to communicate with! Thank you so much for an amazing adventure!
Issam was a wonderful tour guide! We saw city attractions and got a great feel for daily life in Casablanca. This included going to a market to buy food and have it cooked in a local restaurant as well as picking up some local treats as we walked around. Issam was incredible! Knowledgable, engaged and personal. He was willing to adjust the tour to meet our interests. I VERY highly recommend a tour with Issam.
First off, I don’t usually book guided tours. I like to get to know the culture of a new place but am usually less interested in the “tourist” experience. Every place I have visited before this I have known someone local to provide such an experience. In this case, Casablanca was completely new to me. So I scoured the internet to find a guide that would be more personal and intimate. Issam met my wife and I at our hotel at 10 am, and we spent the day walking through the city and seeing what an amazing culture and history it has. Issam is extremely knowledgeable, and you won’t throw him off with questions about things that aren’t on the itinerary. In fact, to the contrary. The more we asked and the more we got to know each other, he seemed to custom fit the tour to our personalities. My wife is an architect and I am a studier of people, and we got to see plenty of both. The Hassan II Mosque is truly awe-inspiring, and the Old Medina was such a beautiful slice of a thriving culture. Considering the price of this tour, take into account that you will not be in a group riding around on a bus; you will be spending a full day with a charming man who will show you the Casablanca that he knows and loves in a way that you couldn’t possibly experience it otherwise. We had such a great time with him and I am glad to have made such a genuine friend from this experience. Not only would I happily book his services again, I hope he knows that if he ever visits Atlanta he will have a place to stay and a couple of locals to give HIM a personalized tour ;-)
We had an amazing tour of Casablanca with Issam as our tour guide, He not only gave us a fantastic tour that most tourists would not experience, but provided the background on Morocco from both a historical and political perspective. We were on a cruise ship and decided we didn't want to be on a large group tour but something more personal and local - Issam took our tour at the last minute and we were very happy that he did.
Highly recommend Issam for wonderful tour experience. He was informative and spoke clearly so we could understand. He always went above and beyond until he was sure our questions were answered.
We were traveling around Casablanca, Rabat and El Jedida as a family of six, with ages ranging from grandparent to two year old baby. Issam did a fantastic job taking us round all the local sights and helping us understand everyday life in the area as well as its culture and history. He had an excellent answer for every question and showed us aspects of the city that we would not have discovered for ourselves. He was great with the kids and informative and entertaining for the adults. I recommend him very highly.
I simply cannot stop raving about our local tour guide, Issam. He is genuinely one of a kind. He is an excellent tour guide with so much passion and knowledge about the vibrant and diverse culture of Morroco, especially Casablanca. What I appreciate the most about our experience is that we had an opportunity to immerse ourselves in the local culture by visiting places that tourists would typically not have first-hand experience. I am also a foodie, and Issam took us to local and high-end restaurants to satisfy our cravings. It also helps to have someone like Issam when shopping in Medina. Most importantly, we felt safe because Issam took good care of us along with his equally passionate and excellent partner (driver), who waited for us throughout the day. Issam gets five stars from me!
I have done a lot of traveling and Issam is the best tour guide I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He was easy to communicate, passionate about his country, and incredibly flexible. I was able to see parts of Casablanca that I didn't know existed and would have been disappointed not to see. What a beautiful city with a wonderful guide!
I was concerned because I was going to be starting the tour shortly after arriving in Casablanca and didn’t know how it was all going to work. I received a message from Issam advising what to do once I had cleared customs and immigration. I was met at the terminal exit, my luggage placed in the car and away we went. Issam then proceeded to customize my tour based on our conversations. We started the tour with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque and then drove around interesting sections of Casablanca, periodically getting out to explore those sites. After lunch, I could barely stay awake due to jet lag so Issam cut the tour short. Before leaving me, Issam helped me coordinate transportation to the airport and back to the hotel to pick up the rest of my travel party who had missed their earlier flight.
We’ve taken many tours as a family and Issam was the best guide you could ask for! He’s very intelligent and quickly picked up on what we wanted to get out of our time in Casablanca. He took us to multiple hidden gems which gave us an amazing and intimate insight into Moroccan culture. It was truly sad saying goodbye to such an interesting and caring person. A+, we would book him again in a heartbeat!
We had an afternoon and overnight in Casablanca MOROCCO and took a half day tour with Issam. It was a wise choice. Issam was flexible with timing and ideas about what we wanted to do and the afternoon flew by. Just seeing city highlights with a fluent trilingual, smart and funny local was a pleasure. He has deep knowledge of his city, country and culture. We shared intelligent conversation as we visited the Hobous quarter, the grand Hassan II mosque, the central market, “la corniche” coastline, the Anfa district and the wonderful old Medina. Since we were starving he took us to a restaurant for an authentic Moroccan meal. It’s not just the interesting or historic sights of Casablanca but the guide, Issam Jaber, who made this afternoon and evening memorable. We highly recommend him.
We had a wonderful time listening to our guide talk with love about his city. He made us discover unexpected and true places. A small stop on the terrace to drink tea and eat pastries (from Beniss) he has always listened and found answers to all our questions. The walk lasted 6 hours (visit to the mosque included). Our driver Amin was also perfect, full of humor and good humor.
