Such a great introduction to Casablanca. Our guide Muhammed was very knowledgeable as we explored the old and new medinas. We visited a popular bakery and purchased some sweet goods to have with our traditional mint tea before heading to see the Hassan II Mosque on the ocean. Finishing up with a beautiful 3 course lunch and finally dropped back at our hotel. I highly recommend!

Itinerary
The largest mosque in Morocco — and the third-largest in the world. With its minaret towering up 210 metres, the Hassan II Mosque blends Islamic architecture with Moroccan elements, Moorish influences with urban design.
It is here that the city’s Jewish past has been best preserved, and is also where it continues to live today. There are some 5,000 Jews currently living in Casablanca, and the city is home to more than 30 synagogues, plus Jewish monuments, cemeteries and shrines
A gorgeous museum inside a home, where a private collection of Moroccan artwork awaits. This house is the former home of Abderrahman Slaoui, a Moroccan businessman who loved the arts. As we peruse the artworks, we’ll stop for a refreshing Moroccan mint tea to help perk us up for the short walk to our next stop.
Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, with its architecture that’s oh-so-different from what you expect to find in Morocco! The European-inspired church towers over its neighbouring buildings. Please note that the Notre Dame de Lourdes Church is closed on Sundays, we will still stop outside, but we will not go inside.
Travel by private taxi to the Museum of Moroccan Judaism, home to 2,000 years of Jewish history in Morocco, with exhibits including videos, art, and historic documents. On Saturdays and Sundays, when the museum is closed, you'll instead visit a local synagogue (opened specially for your group) and the Heritage Interpretation Museum, offering rich insights into Casablanca’s cultural legacy.
After exploring the museum, your guide will escort you back to Square of Mohammed V, Casablanca via private transfer. Before you go, don’t forget to ask your guide for tips on what else to see and do in Casablanca.

Tour guys (Mohamed) was amazing and so informative. That’s the best things about these tours is how much you learn! History and insight was top notch!! 5Stars
Excellent guide Muhammad made our visit to Casablanca a very interesting experience. Zakariah, our driver was courteous helpful and efficient. We enjoyed our time with them.
Hi am was a fabulous guide. He went above and beyond to make my tour happen. He is very knowledgeable of his city. Fabulous tour. Thank you!
Very informative guide nothing to much trouble
A fantastic guide and driver. Covered the highlights of casablanca on foot & car. Delivered the exact trip as per the tour description. Learnt so much about this city both past and present. There was no rush and the guide allowed time to soak up the atmosphere.
Our very knowledgeable guide, an excellent communicator, led us on a well paced, thoroughly enjoyable and educational 4 hour tour of parts of old Casablanca. The mix of walking and driving was ideal to optimize on the sites to be seen. We wandered through a park, by cathedrals, mosques and in a synagogue. A nice break for cookies and Moroccan mint tea was woven into the route. The varied architectural styles in the old city could be noted as we walked and drove through the streets. Our guide shared with us some of the history of Morocco as well as Casablanca and how the culture developed and continues to grow. The tour was very interesting and educational, an exceptional introduction to both Casablanca and Morocco on our first visit to the country.
Mohammed was very knowledgeable.
Mohamed was fantastic and very easy going. Took us to fabulous places. Very knowledgable .
Our tour with Mohamed was really interesting, as he provided excellent insights to the beautiful Moroccan culture, the architecture, the wonderful people. The naked gods were as delicious as the meal at the end of the tour. We appreciated all of it!
Excellent guide Extremely knowledgeable
Thank you Mohammed for a wonderful informative tour through Casablanca. It was a great mix of walking and driving this giving us the opportunity to experience modern and extraordinary history of this magical city.
Sooo interesting! Mohamed did a wonderful job of explaining the Islamic culture...and showing us how Christianity and Judaism were woven in. Our driver Zacheria was full of smiles and drove well.
Mohamed was knowledgeable, professional, and quite friendly. His English was excellent. I would highly recommend him.
I had an enjoyable time taking the Casablanca Walking Tour Medina and Beyond. The tour guide Mohammad was excellent. He thoroughly explained the information presented. We leisurely strolled to the different sites as he narrated what was being viewed. Time was spent at a cafe for mint tea and lunch was obtained towards the end of the tour. Time was also given for solo exploration. Mohammad’s English was completely understood. He answered all questions about Morocco’s culture. At certain points in the tour we had a driver Zakariah take us to the sites that were some distance away. He drove us safely around town. I would recommend this tour.
What a great experience!! Mohammed did a wonderful job as our tour guide!! So informative and a delight to spend the morning with.
Very knowledgeable guide, excelent presentation of the city and outstanding customer care. Pleasant person mr Mansouri who ran a seamless, comprehensive visit of Casablanca.
This tour exceeded our expectations. Mohammad filled the 4 hours with all the sights and amazing commentary. My two teenage girls, husband, and myself loved every minute. Driving around the beach area and views of the mosque paired so nicely with the walking tour of the Medina and stop at the stunning church. We loved the bakery and lunch spot as well. Couldn’t recommend this tour more. Additionally, driver Zachary got us around safely and was a pleasure.
Mohammed was an amazing tour guide. It was such a pleasure to spend the time walking around and admiring the rich culture of this city. The driver was such a great help. He went above and beyond. Thank you it was a great tour for my first time in Casablanca
Mohamed was very knowledgeable and a great tour guide.
Excellent tour of Casablanca. Mohamed is very knowledgeable of the city history and a wonderful guide.
The Adventure Tour was Great!!!! Mohammed the tour guide was very knowledgeable and show the old Medina and all the popular Mosque. Occasionally we would stop and have coffee and mint tea, I really appreciated him and the driver showing me around.
Our walking tour began 9am today. Mohamed was our guide today and was on time. We met him at the meeting point. The guide was excellent. The amount of free time we recieved to explore on our own was perfect. He explained a lot of history to us and he could answer all our questions. Mohamed did not feel like a typical guide. He felt like a friend and we had a great experience.
Our experience with guide Mohammad was wonderful. His knowledge and experience helped bring Casablanca to life for us. We enjoyed so many experiences together: walking through the medina; seeing mosques, churches, and a synagogue; visiting several excellent small museums; exploring the souq with so many local Moroccan artisans and craftsmen; taking a break for hot tea; visiting a bakery where we purchased almond pastries and watched a master baker manage an oven that bakes dough brought in by local women; walking along the corniche at low tide with its view of the Hassan II Mosque. The final stop was at an open air restaurant where we had excellent kefta plate and fresh fish plate. Throughout our time together, Mohammad answered questions and shared history, culture and religious aspects of Moroccan life. We highly recommend this tour!
Such an incredible day!! I was the only person booked so I got a whole tour of Casablanca just myself and my guide Hicham. With 18 years of experience, he truly knew everything and was easily able to answer any questions I had. The way that he told the history of the place made me feel like I was right there. I'm so glad I was able to hear about the soul of Casablanca from a local. The tour itself was wonderful, with lots of sights I would have never seen otherwise. I was in Morocco for work so only had two days to explore. I'm so happy I did this tour as I felt like I saw so much in just a short few hours. I very much appreciated that we could walk but that we also had a private driver for the duration. Early in the tour Hicham asked when I was leaving Morocco, to which I let him know that I was sadly leaving that afternoon. I let him know that I had just planned to catch a taxi back to my hotel and then catch a taxi to the airport. I had planned to just leave the group early if needed to make all of this happen in time. I also had told him about how I had gone to the Hassan II mosque by myself the previous day but had gone during the call to prayer so wasn't able to go inside. As I was the only person on the tour, Hicham went above and beyond to make sure I saw the best of Casablanca all within the time frame I had! Along the way he took photos and made videos to send home to my parents, knowing all the best views and photo stops! At the end of the tour, not only did he organise for me to go into Hassan II mosque for a tour, but he also organised for the driver who had been driving us all day to take me to my hotel, wait for me to check out and grab my bags, then drive me to the airport, negotiating a good price for me. This took a huge stress off my shoulders! He even gave me a call when I was at the airport to check that everything was alright and that I got there with no problems. Thank you so much Hicham for going above and beyond to make my last day in Morocco so special! I truly had such a wonderful time. You are a shining exemplar of Moroccan hospitality 🇲🇦
My tour with my guide Mohamed was good. As Casablanca is a big city part of the tour was walking and partly it was in a car. This was helpful as it was a pretty hot day. Saw the beautiful city and the beach too!! Would recommend to everyone!!
Thoroughly enjoyable and informative tour.
We had an enjoyable day with Mohammed learning lots of history of Casablanca and Morocco. Stops at cafe (included) and lunch (at own expense). Dropped back at our hotel was much appreciated. Definitely recommend 👌
Mohamed was an outstanding tour guide! Very knowledgeable and enjoyable. Our tour was for a period of just under 5 hours and a real highlight of our visit to Casablanca!
I booked a private tour for myself and my daughters and had a wonderful time. Mohamed, our guide, met us directly at our hotel. We were able to modify the tour agenda to add a key stop we wanted to see. We ended the tour with a delicious optional dinner at a local restaurant. The tour was informative, comfortable and safe. Some slow walking over generally flat surfaces required.
Hisham is a wonderful tour guide. He is an absolutely generous, patient and lovely person. I overslept and he was so helpful and facilitated me joining the group. He knows Casablanca well especially the Instagram worthy photo stops. I enjoyed him immensely. Highly recommended. Stylish dresser too. Takes great photos too
My tour guide was Muhammed and he showed me places in the old and new Medina, as well as many other places from business to residential areas. I got a good feeling of what the city is like and he shared interesting knowledge all way through as well as able to answer all my questions culturally and politically. Best tour so far in Morocco. There were no stops for shopping, which was very refreshing.
We had an excellent private tour of the main sights of Casablanca. The 4.5 hour tour with guide and driver was crammed with historical and current information. Thoroughly recommended.
What an interesting morning. I learned so much about the history and culture of Morocco. Our guide was excellent and well informed
Wonderful experience, hicham was s fantastic who provided amazing g insight into Casablanca,........................
I had a wonderful morning walking around and learning about the history of Casablanca. It was a great introduction to the city. Hicham was both knowledgeable and entertaining.
Hicham was a wonderful tour guide. His knowledge and expertise in Moroccan and Casablanca history was outstanding. Hicham is very friendly and showed us places on the tour we didn't expect such as the Royal Palace. He went above and beyond and would highly recommend him the future.
Hicham was not only extremely knowledgeable but funny. His educated knowledge allowed us to have an accurate view of the history of not only Morocco but Casablanca. Loved visiting both the old and new Medinas. Felt very lucky to visit the king's Casablanca residence. The pastries were the best and the olive markets were to die for. Great driver and car. Thank you.
Many thanks to rasheed and mr afif for making our tour in casa very nice. We learned a lot about casa history. We enjoyed a lot. Excellent
What a wonderful 4 hours! Abdul made our walk around Casablanca a really memorable experience. He is extremely knowledgeable and a lovely gentleman. Shukran, Abdul from 3 Australian ladies.
Had a fantastic tour with Afif and Rachid the driver. Very knowledgeable and helpful with where to take great photos. Had access to sites that were closed and didn't rush us at all.
We had a wonderful tour with Muhammed - he took us all of the place and was very generous with his time.
This was an excellent tour. Mohammed is a very experienced and knowledgeable tour guide. He ensured that our Mosque visit was quiet and serene and knew exactly when to be where in the Mosque that ensured we had a beautiful visit (with no other people in our photos!). He is passionate about Casablanca and Morocco. Mohammed and the driver Rashid treated us to a personal experience where we saw all the best little corners of Casablanca.
A very knowledgeable guide, overall an interesting cross-cultural, cross-religion experience of old and new Casablanca.
We spent a great time with Hicham. He is super knowledgeable and is very personable. He was very organized and managed our time well. We were lucky and had a combined tour that spanned both the religious and medina tours. It was a treat to be able to do a little of both. Highly recommended!!
Toured "Religious Casablanca" with Abou. He was an amazing guide, spoke to us in both our languages, caught on quickly to our interests and tailored the tour to us! He also gave us great tips for how to get around and made sure we got back to our hotel easily.
We got to explore the spiritual tour with Hicham. He is VERY knowledgeable and knew every detail of each museum we visited. He took great pictures of us at Hassan II Mosque and waited patiently as we took pictures/videos. Because we are Jewish he was able to get us into Beth-El and the oldest synagogue in Casablanca. He checked in on us several times and very easy to get along with! There was one part of the experience that was not as good but it was not the fault of Hicham so we didn’t take any stars away from that. Toward the beginning we waited for the taxi driver to pick us up, but he was late. This created problems for Hicham as he made several calls to him and had an argument with another person that wanted to set us up with one of his taxis. Once the taxi driver picked us up (he has a contract with agency) he “appeared” very upset and would not let it go for most of our drive to and from other places. I mention appeared because I’m not sure if this was just his personality but based on the back and forth that happened it didn’t seem so. Everything went very well with Hicham but the driver did not add well to the experience. As mentioned we did not want to take away stars since this was not Hichams fault.
Just had a fantastic morning with Hickham Bennis. An extremely knowledgeable and kind tour guide. From the beginning when he assisted me with my taxi after I forgot small bills to the end truly an amazing morning. We had a lovely morning of touring the city and he made sure to personalize my tour. You get what you pay for with tour guides and Hickham is worth it in Casablanca.
Our guide, Hicham Bennis, made this tour a truly beautiful experience! He speaks multiple languages and is so knowledgeable and passionate about this city of his birth. In his capable hands, we visited many religious sites and the Medina, always through his lens of cultural sensitivity and religious tolerance. He truly comes from the heart. I highly recommend this tour!
Great tour that took in a lot of the city. Bennis was a great guide. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for the history of the city and/or want to see the major sites.
