We booked an 8-day private tour. And from start to finish, the experience was incredible. They were very quick to respond to my questions before, during and after booking. The tour was excellent, and they did everything as described on their website. Pickup from the hotel in Casablanca was on time. All of our accommodations were fabulous, and the nicer ones were quite nice, indeed. All were clean, comfortable, and safe. We had a private driver, Hssaine, from start to finish, he literally took care of everything!! Hssaine is our favorite, he is extremely kind, knowledgeable, personable, and patient. He took us to the best spots and took our picture. He is passionate about his country, and because of him, so are we! Not to mention what a great driver! All in all, everything was arranged perfectly, and everyone was so kind. The accommodations were very nice, and the tours were spectacular. We had a private driver who was excellent! I am very happy I chose this company. Thank you all!

Next, visit the Hassan Tower, a minaret of the incomplete mosque, and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V.
Continue Carry on the north to Chefchaouen. Wander the steep, cobbled streets and enjoy the picturesque blue-hued buildings. Relax in Plaza Uta el-Hammam with a mint tea before browsing colorful wares in the many shops. Visit the nearby kasbah (fort or fortification) and explore the 15th-century fortress and dungeon. As the day draws to a close, make your way uphill to the abandoned white Spanish Mosque to enjoy one last view of Chefchaouen as the sun sets behind the mountains.
Day 2
2
After breakfast, we will start exploring Chefchaouen ( known as the blue city ). It is a small charming, clean and fresh town. you'll stroll around the old Medina with its old restorated kasbah, Plaza Utta Hammas, the square at the heart of the town is really an ideal place to relax. with its steep, narrow cobbled streets and white washed walls, blue doors, windows and mountains as a backdrop makes from Chefchaouen a wonderfull place for fascinating pictures. After, you will see the natural spring water of Ras In Unlike other parts of Morocco, this town was occupied by Spain. Therefore, there is much influence of the spanish and Moorish culture. You will have an opportunity to meet with locals, wander in the souks (markets) and enjoy this amazing town
We leave Chefchaouen and cross the Rif mountains to arrive at the ancient Roman town — Unisco Word Heritage Site- we will discover its mosaic floors, basilica, temple and triumphal arch. We then head to the Holy town of Moulay Driss (a pilgrimage for Moroccans )
After Lunch in the town, we continue our journey to Meknes where you will explore: The huge gate of Mansour, the Granary, The Swani basin, the old medina with its souks, and Landim Square where you will relax in one of its cafes. In the late afternoon, We set off for Fes. Overnight in a traditional riad in the Medina
Day 3
3
Meet your driver and head south toward Fes. On arrival, your private guide will lead you through the twisting maze of cobbled streets as you pass markets, shops, mosques, and more. You'll explore the souks, learn about medieval Marinid architecture, and visit historical monuments as you absorb Fes' old-fashioned charm. Pass through the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), a Moorish gate with three arches, and the old town's main entrance, walking into the bustling souks. Here, you'll find unusual, hand-crafted goods such as bright rugs, jewelry, leather goods, and of course, huge towers of spices.
Make a visit to Chouara Tannery, with its large assortment of leather dyes and centuries-old techniques, then head to the ninth-century Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, the world's oldest continuously operating university. You'll also stop at either Bou Inania Madrasa or Al Attarine Madrasa, two 14th-century schools featuring beautiful Marinid and Moroccan architecture. Visit the Jewish district of Mellah and the Royal Palace of Fes, or check out a museum, like the Borj Nord, with its collection of weapons and armor from several eras and incredible rooftop views.
Stop in at a local restaurant to sample some Moroccan cuisine before returning to your riad for the night, or if you'd like to go the extra mile and truly immerse yourself in the local gastronomy, join a local family for dinner in the medina. This is an incredibly unique opportunity and one that not many visitors get to experience. You'll learn the history of various cuisines, recipes, and ingredients from the direct source as you chat and mingle with a joyful Moroccan family. This is an excellent way to understand Moroccan culture, and the family's hospitality and generosity will, without a doubt, touch you.
Day 4
4
This morning, your driver will take you to your next stop, Merzouga. Along the way, you'll travel through the scenic High Atlas mountains, passing the picturesque alpine villages that have earned this area the nickname "Little Switzerland". When you get back on the road, you'll climb to an elevation of 7,146 feet (2,178 m) over the Col du Zad Pass to be greeted by stunning views and dense cedar forests—truly another side to Morocco! you will enjoy watching out for families of Barbary macaque monkeys, which can be spotted socializing in the trees. Have lunch in Midelt and continue over the Tizi-n-Talremt Pass and into the Ziz Valley, known for its hidden oases and clusters of palm trees. Keep an eye out for the ksars along the way, communal fortifications built by merchants in earlier times to protect their goods.
Next stop is Erfoud, a bustling market town famous for its annual Date Festival, fossil mining, and artisan factories. Your driver will take you to visit an artisan collective to see how the fossil-rich rock is transformed into beautiful tables, plates, and bowls. Continuing on your drive, you'll soon see the sand waves of Erg Chebbi in the distance. The Erg Chebbi is an extensive set of dunes with peaks rising over 650 feet (200 m).
Next up is a highlight of the day—your driver can take a break because you'll reach your accommodation in Merzouga via camel. You will love the sensation of gliding over the sands on these “ships of the desert.” Arrive at your luxury camp just in time to watch the sunset from the nearest dune. Head back down for dinner by the campfire, and an enchanting evening under the stars listening to traditional Berber music played by locals before retiring to your tents.
Day 5
5
Get up early this morning to watch a spectacular desert sunrise. After breakfast, your driver will take you to your next stop, the relaxing palm grove of Dades. You'll have several breaks along the way, the first being the town of Rissani. Enjoy exploring its busy market and observing its famous livestock auction. Pop into Maison Tuareg, for a chance to see traditional arts and crafts, including carpets, jewelry, and leather goods. You'll continue to Tinghir, with its panoramic views and fascinating Jewish quarter, and then to the striking Todra Gorge with its 984-foot (300 m) high red-stained limestone cliffs. Take an easy walk or paddle in the cool water before you hit the road again and pass through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs (historic defense fortresses). You'll pass through several small towns around here; be on the lookout for nomads tending to their animals, and traditional farms.
Continue to Dades Valley where you will see the fascinating rock formations known locally as "monkies fingers" and beautiful mud Kasbahs. Overnight in a hotel overlooking the valley.
Day 6
6
You will be heading to exciting Marrakesh today. Start early for plenty of time to explore. Head back through the Dadès Valley—stop off at the Rose Collective if you missed it last time. Next, take a break in Ouarzazate. This picturesque town is the center of Morocco's film industry and has featured in many famous productions—think "Black Hawk Down," "Prometheus," or "Game of Thrones." You might enjoy touring the movie studio there or visiting the Musée du Cinema.
Just out of town, you'll discover the Taourirt Kasbah, an impressive fortified citadel in a spectacular alpine setting. Drive onward, and explore the alleys and passageways of the UNESCO-listed medieval kasbah of Aït Benhaddou. Next, you'll head over to the Tizi n'Tichka Pass—enjoy the sweeping vistas over the peaks. Make a stop in the town of Taddert and visit an argan oil cooperative. See firsthand how the precious oil is extracted from the argan nut for use in the health, food, and cosmetic industries. ure photos.
As you descend, you'll enter the tranquility of the plains. Enjoy the last leg of this scenic drive and prepare yourselves for the vibrant bustle of Marrakesh. When you arrive, settle into your accommodation and head out to Jemaa el-Fna, the city's main square. Alive with musicians, performers, games, and snake charmers, it's the perfect contrast to the alpine and desert villages of the last few days. Visit one of the many food stalls and then head back to your accommodation for the night.
Day 7
7
After breakfast, meet your local private guide who will lead you through the old city of Marrakech. Along the way, your knowledgeable and energetic guide will regale you with the history and stories of the Medina, the Souk, and the Mellah neighborhoods of the Red City.
In the afternoon you'll continue your private tour, exploring places like the Bahia and El Badii Palaces, and the Saadian Tombs. You'll also see the Majorelle Gardens, an iconic garden retreat built over forty years ago by French painter Jacques Majorelle and later inhabited by famed designer Yves Saint Laurent.
As the evening progresses, Jemaa el-Fna comes alive with musicians and storytellers, acrobats and dancers, and even snake charmers. Wander the many rows of food stalls serving anything from full meals to fruit drinks, dried dates, and small snacks. Grab a bite, or for a more relaxed experience, look for one of the many cafes that sit above the square to enjoy a meal while you watch the show below.

I really enjoyed my eight day tour of Morocco with Said. He was a wonderful Guide and a pleasure to spend so much time with. I can really say that I have seen everything that Morocco has to offer or at least most of it. The hotels we stayed in as part of the Tour were all excellent. They were in great locations and had great amenities. The guides that were employed when I visited Fes, Rabat, and Marrakesh were all very knowledgeable spoke great English and were very pleasant to be with. I learned a lot about Moroccan history and different cultures in Morocco and also experienced Morocco’s great culinary traditions. I would recommend this Tour to anyone who wants to really see Morocco. Being a solo traveller, the only thing I was a little disappointed in was having to eat all my meals alone. There was very little opportunity to interact with other travellers.
Overall, highly recommend our experience with this company. The trip was well organized and we got to see a lot! Our driver Said was wonderful and made the trip extra special. Without his guidance, the trip would not have been the same. Many of the tour guides were also excellent including Mehdi and Amin. Definitely would choose this trip again if I had to do it over!
I traveled with my two adult sons to Morocco in May. The trip was enjoyable and busy, with some relaxing time. Most of the accommodations were stunning and far surpassed my expectations. Our driver, Said, was a fantastic driver and guide and a very sociable man. Said was incredibly knowledgeable in Moroccan history, could juggle scheduling flawlessly, exuded boundless energy, and was an integral part of our family trip. Could not recommend Said!! The itinerary was a perfect combination of historical sites and the desert. You truly get a feel of how the people live and the diversity of the culture and history. Each day had exciting activities that perfectly fit with each region of the country. They were extremely flexible in adding any activities or sites that interested our family. I haven’t got a bad word to say about any of it. We had the best 8 day journey, made friends for life, and whatever trip we go on next will have to be really special to meet the bar set by this one!
My friend and I traveled to Morocco with Desert trips for 8 days. It was fabulous. The hotels they recommended were spectacular, the driver was outstanding, and the extraordinarily prepared local guides to show us their cities and its monuments. It was organized but flexible and relaxed. We spent a night in the desert and when they billed it as a Luxury Camp, it really was, a magical experience all around.
We spent eight unforgettable days in Morocco, where we had the chance to visit the country’s most famous monuments. This tour operator Desert Trips is one of the best operators we have had. The itinerary ran like clockwork. Each site was impressive, full of history and culture. The guides were brilliant, professional, knowledgeable, and passionate, and they shared very interesting facts about these places, making every visit even more captivating. The hotels provided excellent comfort and quality. The accommodations both at the Riyads and Hotels were excellent, comfort and quality. And all the included breakfasts were delicious. A special mention goes to Said, the driver and guide, who ensured everything went smoothly. His communication throughout the trip was excellent. He was so professional, responded to all our questions with a great attitude and in a timely manner. We highly recommend this trip, which will stay in our hearts forever!!
We enjoyed a most wonderful trip across Morocco in January 2026. Each stop was somehow more spectacular than the last. The coordination was absolute perfection; not one single hiccup! Every guide was seamless. It all came together like magic. The hotels we stayed at were top of the line. Our driver Said was excellent. He took the time to answer my many curious questions during our trip, as I took in the immense beauty of Morocco. As someone who likes cultures. Said definitely was helpful in building a better understanding of Morocco and its beautiful people. Also, I must thank Med for his diligence in getting our trip scheduled on time. I would also like to call out the quality of our stay at Dar Hassan in Merzouga. One of the most beautiful hotels, and the entire staff was incredible. I have never felt hospitality like that before. I'd like to say that this was the trip of a lifetime, but it was so good, I will have to do it again. And when that time comes, I will reach out to DesertTrips and hopefully Said will be there to guide us through another journey.
Med organized a flawless trip with less than three weeks’ notice, communicating quickly via WhatsApp and confirming beautiful riads throughout. We traveled over 1,200 miles across Morocco, from coastal Casablanca and elegant Rabat to blue-washed Chefchaouen, ancient Volubilis, and the imperial cities of Meknes and Fes; through the golden Sahara of Merzouga on camelback, the dramatic Dades Valley, cinematic Ouarzazate and timeless Aït Benhaddou, over the rugged High Atlas Mountains to vibrant Marrakech. Our main driver, Hassan, was exceptional - always on time, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and accommodating. He even welcomed us into his family home in Merzouga and introduced us to his lovely mother. By the end of the trip, Hassan truly felt like family. On our final day, Said drove us to the airport and surprised us with a beautiful gift from his mother - a touching gesture we will always remember. The riads were incredible, the local guides were fantastic, and every detail was thoughtfully handled. What truly stood out was how much the drivers genuinely care about their guests and go out of their way to make you feel welcome in their beautiful country. This was my 60th country visited, and Morocco now easily ranks in my Top 5. Truly flawless organization and an unforgettable journey.
Saïd guided us through a substantial part of Morocco in just one week. His service was consistently reliable and punctual. He remained flexible throughout, accommodating our last-minute requests and itinerary changes without hesitation. He shared valuable insights about the country and each destination we visited. We confidently recommend this tour to anyone looking for a dependable guide.
Desert Trips were very organized in communicating and coordinating the airport pick up to drop off, hotel and riyad stays, daily Iterinary, and local guides. Hats off to our driver and now a friend Saiid. He is the icing on the cake and without him this trip would have been another touristy thing but he made it such a memorable time immersing us in the culture and traditions, food places, a peek into the lives of the local people by visiting households, sometimes going off the Iterinary just to make it special, providing fresh cold water and splurging us with olives, fresh fruits, fresh cookies, moroccan wine and fruit juices, fresh cookies and souvenirs. Local guides that he chose were very good. We had a blast and felt like we were at home. Highly recommend Desert trips and Saiid, our friend. Trust Saiid even if its off the Iterinary.
We had done a 2 week trip all over Morocco with Deserttrips.net in Oct 2023 so it was a no brainer when our cruise ship the Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lafy was porting in Casablanca to book with then again for a private tour of Rabat and Casablanca. Our driver Said and our tour guide Nassera were the most wonderful company. They catered our activities to things we had not seen when we visited the last time and we went to the Royal Palace, Chellah archeological area, and the Kasbah in Rabat as well as having lunch along the water, and we saw a number of sights in Casablanca before returning to the ship. If you want someone to take care of you for a day or for weeks, this is your team!
We found DesertTrips through Tripadvisor and contacted them for a customised Morocco trip. They customised the trip as per our requirement and also provided suggestions as necessary. As we got close to the trip they communicated all the details and were very prompt with their communication throughout the trip. The trip itself was very well planned. Said Ben Abbou picked us up from the airport and he was with us throughout the trip. He kept us in good company through the drives and gave us tidbits of knowledge as we passed by places. He also provided us with great recommendations for food and shopping. He coordinated very well with all the tour guides as well and we had a very comfortable and fun trip. Do ask for Said to be your trip companion. All the tour guides were also excellent. Highly recommend everyone, Zaki in Chefchaouen, Ahmed in Tangier, Mustafa in Ourika Valley and Mubarak in Marrakech. They were very knowledgeable and accommodated our pace and needs. We highly recommend the team to plan your next trip. They are well connected and can organise it pretty well. Only suggestion would be the hotels could have been better. They lacked amenities and were mid-tier. They can add better hotels to their list or one can provide the hotel list that they can then customise for you. Other than this, everything was excellent and we truly enjoyed the trip. Going home with the best memories. Morocco is a beautiful country and has so much to offer and I am happy to have been taken around by this team. Recommend them!
We did the 8 day Luxury Private Tour from Casablanca with the imperial cities. We have extensive travel experience and we say this tour was so well planned! From the start, our driver the Mayor of the South, Saiid, to the many local guides who showed us around they were all kind, professional, and knowledgeable in their local areas. We think the highlight of the trip was Fez with the different markets you go to (especially the ceramics vendor) and the night out in the Sahara Desert. This trip was the perfect length to feel like you saw everything, but was not too long. If you have the chance to book this trip we would 10000% recommend it, you will not be disappointed. Additional things to know: all the riads are comfortable, clean and have AC. Before we started Khalil who was the operator that setup our tour knew of our standards and asked what type of rooms we would like and that was maintained throughout the entire trip. Our driver, Saiid, was phenomenal! We really got to experience things in Morocco from a local’s perspective. Saiid knew all the places to go to from delicious food to the best places for restroom break. Saiid was a major part of making this trip an absolutely great trip, his attention to detail, courtesy, knowledge, and connections all throughout Morocco really made the difference and truly has him live up to the title of “Mayor of the South”. If you can request him, you should!
this was our first time in Morocco and actually our first time in Africa so we weren’t sure what to expect choosing a tour operator was overwhelming because there are so many options online after reading so many good reviews of DesertTrips we decided to take a chance and I’m so glad we did. we booked an 8-day tour and truly felt like we saw all of Morocco from the moment we arrived in Casablanca everything went smoothly our Driver guide Saiid made us feel at home right away he was kind informative and always checking to make sure we were comfortable every morning he’d make sure we were ready for the day and every evening he’d check in to see how we enjoyed it he took us to buy authentic crafts making sure we avoided the imitations by the end of the trip it felt like he was part of our family the trip was very well organized with clean and safe accommodations throughout we visited so many incredible places each one with its own unique charm and the desert experience was the highlight riding camels across the golden dunes as the sun set was pure magic we spent the night under a blanket of stars sitting by the fire listening to local music and sharing laughs. was like something out of a dream and Morocco’s landscapes are so varied mountains, valleys, desert, and open plains and Saiid’s stories along the way made the journeys as memorable as the destinations. we also learned so much about Moroccan life and Amazigh/Bereber's culture from Saiid who shared his own experiences growing up as a nomad his advice about markets, food, and local customs was so helpful and made us feel more confident exploring on our own. If you want to see the best of Morocco without any stress i highly recommend DesertTrips there’s a lot of driving if you want to see the whole country but with a guide like Saiid it’s a joy from start to finish
I honestly didn't know where to start. On one hand I didn't want a group tour as it's very structured and crowded. On the other hand I was hesitant to plan on my own and manage logistics in the country I know very little about. I started my research and stumbled across I found DesertTrips via Tripadvisor search, and after reading several positive reviews; as well as they being able to plan a private tour for 8 days Morocco tour of 6 cities (Chefchaouen, Fes, Merzouga, Dades, Marrakech and Casablanca) It is an 8-day package with all transfers, guides, accommodation...etc. I submitted my request for information and quote. I was contacted by Med within a few hours, and over the next week, he proposed and revised multiple trip itineraries and making adjustments to accommodations, places to visit and private driver. He was very patient and responsive. I had tons of questions and was very skeptical. Med tailored and retailed our itinerary multiple times to meet our needs and budget. When the final draft was ready we made our payment, received detailed agreement, and the anticipation has began. Khalil contacted us as we landed and let us know Omar (our driver) was waiting for us. Honestly, we felt like a VIP. Omar was holding a sign with our name, he helped us with our luggage, and a Van was waiting for us in the parking lot. We got transported to a hotel in Chafchaoune with a great view and very nice accommodations. Omar was an amazing driver and very friendly and accommodating. He was always available and responded promptly to all our questions during the trip. All the local guides were efficient but have to mention Mustapha in Marrakech, who was very friendly and went out of his way to make our visit pleasant. I won't go into details of our trip as it was tailored to our interests and needs. But I just wanted to highlight that every driver, guide (Omar, Mustapha and Mehdi) and travel agent (Med and Khalil) were professional and organized. Never late, always providing us with the best service possible. They were also very flexible if we wanted to make changes to our schedule or visit different sites than what was initially on the itinerary. Overall, our departure was as smooth as arrival. Thank you, Khalil, Med, Omar, and all the DesertTrips family. I’m almost positive we’ll be back again soon.
From the first contact with Med at Desert Trips to the end of our trip, everything was extremely well organised, nothing was too much trouble, communication was superb, and payment was very easy with an initial deposit then final payment at the commencement of the trip. I found Med to be totally ethical, honest and reliable when making arrangements and the trip went without a solitary hitch. Our itinerary was very comprehensive and beautifully presented. Our driver Said was superb (and he is a legend in the desert), and all guides used at various locations were excellent. The locations visited were all very interesting, and with the incredible knowledge of Said and guides, we picked up a huge amount of local history and culture which brought the trip to life. A large component of the success of the trip was down to Said. He is a ton of fun (Said means happy and I have never experienced a person whose name fitted so perfectly with his personality). He went way above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every minute. Although we had an itinerary, we were free to change it within reason, which we did on occasions on recommendations from Said. Morocco is a wonderful country with a huge amount to offer the tourist. We had a fantastic trip and cannot recommend Desert Trips more highly.
Omar was our driver and main guide for our 8 day trip. From the first minute we met him he said we would be a family and he wanted to make sure we had a wonderful experience. Every request we made was honored! He had fantastic local guides who were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Omar was always available when we needed him and we stayed in constant contact with WhatsApp. And even after our tour ended, he was available to answer questions and make suggestions. I absolutely recommend Desert Trips when planning your Moroccan vacation!
We had an incredible experience with Said as our driver in Morocco! He was extremely professional and always on time, which made our trip smooth and stress-free. Said’s driving skills were excellent—we always felt safe and comfortable on the road. Beyond that, he added so much to our trip with his great sense of humor, making the journey fun and memorable. He also went above and beyond to help us with any bookings we needed, ensuring we had the best possible experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better driver and companion. Highly recommend Said for anyone traveling in Morocco!
The trip was top tier, and we got to see everything we wanted. Since it’s private you can customize as needed, so we highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a hassle free tour of Morocco. Our guide, Said, was absolutely phenomenal. He was patient, fun, a great singer, and very knowledgeable! We all loved that Said was our guide.
This Morocco trip was one of the best I’ve taken in my life! Our group really enjoyed our 8 days with him. Our guide Said was amazing and was so responsive and helped us with booking additional reservations like ATVs, hard to get restaurants, hammams etc. and he can sing!! Said is the best I really recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience this beautiful country:)
Great tour from start to finish - communication was easy from the initial inquiry throughout the tour with availability to customize accommodations, what we wanted to see or skip, and no tourist traps with high pressure sales tactics. Our driver Said was great the whole trip and very friendly and helpful every step of the way. Felt comfortable in all sorts of different conditions as well from the morning we left the Sahara and encountered snow and hail in the afternoon through the high Atlas Mountains! Be aware that in Morocco, several hours of driving can be required each day to get between different sites, so having a good driver is quite important! All the riads and the desert camp we stayed in that were booked through the tour were great - some particular highlights were Chez Ichou Maison d'hôtes in Dades Valley and the provided tour guide in Fez. Riad Ahlam in Fez was also great with a good location for easy access to some of the gates and some nice restaurants as well (2 min walk from ISHQ restaurant). The Sahara camp was also great of course! Overall a good blend of time between guided exploration and free time - you get to see the cultural sites, nature, and modern Morocco. If you're looking to book a tour through Morocco, would fully recommend DesertTrips - just book it and take their accommodations and ask for anything else you might be interested in - they'll take care of it :)
This was a well-organized tour of multiple cities, with knowledgeable guides in each one. Our driver, Ahmad, was excellent throughout. We were also have fortunate to have great weather. I would highly recommend!
An amazing tour around Morocco! All the stops in the major cities and scenic points in between were great, we had so much fun. Our driver/tour guide Said was very thoughtful and flexible, which made the trip with two kids extremely easy.
We enjoyed a lot! Although it was a long trip all around Morocco in 8 days, we could enjoy a lot in all the cities because of the kindness of travel agency and especially the driver!! He was very considerate and supportive to all of our family and also he is a good photographer! Thank you for everything!!
This was my first time doing a trip like this and I would 110% recommend it to anyone! Everything from the booking to the execution of the trip was so amazing. The itinerary was jam-packed with our must-see sights. Every accommodation was top-notch. having Deserttrips takes the stress of arranging away and we had the privilege of having Saïd, our driver, and friend! Great company. Thanks a lot for taking care of us and being patient. You made the trip very easy and beautiful! One of our favorite pics is of our kids with him because he made our trip so memorable. The family still quotes many of his lines as he taught us about each site. We will forever hold onto the education he gave us and the fond memories we made with him. The Sahara desert was a highlight of our trip through Ait Benhaddou and Dades Valley....to one of the best trips in our lives we really can't say enough kind words about our experience. Thank you!
We had an incredible time. The riads we stayed at were absolutely beautiful. We haven't stopped talking about all that we did and saw. If you haven't been to Morocco this is the way to go.
Said Ouacha, my driver (and now new friend) during my recent trip to Morocco with Desert Trips, provided an outstanding experience that truly enhanced our adventure. From the moment we met him, it was clear that we were in capable hands. His professionalism and deep knowledge of Moroccan culture and geography made every journey not just a drive, but an insightful exploration. Said navigated the diverse landscapes of Morocco with ease, ensuring our comfort throughout the trip. His driving was smooth and safe, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert. He was always punctual, picking us up on time and accommodating our schedule with a smile. What set Said apart was his ability to tailor our experience to our interests. He took the time to understand what we wanted to see and do, suggesting local eateries and hidden gems that showed us the real Morocco. Said's passion for his country was evident in every conversation. He shared fascinating stories about Moroccan history, traditions, and daily life, enriching our understanding of the culture, teachingus new words and phrases, and playing us amazing Moroccan and Berber music. His warmth and friendliness made it easy to connect with him, trust him, and have a lot of fun. I cannot recommend Said Ouacha highly enough for anyone looking to explore Morocco. His expertise, kindness, and dedication to providing an exceptional travel experience made our trip truly unforgettable. If you're planning a visit to this beautiful country, make sure to request Said as your driver—you won't be disappointed! -Dana Wood Silt, Colorado
If Morocco has been on your bucket list, then book this trip now. My friend and I went in November, which was a perfect time to go- warm, but not too hot, and no rain. We were referred to Desert Trips by a previous client and we had a wonderful experience. Med was responsive to our questions and kept us updated and informed on the trip. He was accommodating to our requested itinerary changes and we added a cooking class and spa afternoon (a trip to a hammam is a must). Said, our driver (aka The World’s Best Driver 🥇), was so kind, thoughtful, and fun. Said’s big personality is surpassed only by his bigger heart. Our local guides were brilliant- a wellspring of knowledge, history, and culture. As two gals traveling, we always felt safe. The Moroccan people are some of the most welcoming and generous people I’ve ever met. I would go back in a heartbeat!
We spent 8day in Morocco in the middle of October for a trip of a lifetime. Every aspect of our tour was superbly planned and engraved. Med planned our trip in meticulous detail making sure we had an exceptional holiday. The weather was magnificent, and breathtaking landscapes. Everywhere we went we met friendly, helpful, and very polite people. Morocco is one of the most diverse and unforgettable countries we have visited. Our driver was super great and took excellent care of us. He explained a lot to us about the culture of Morocco, and he always had a nice and did everything to ensure that we had a magical trip. He found us the very best places to eat and made sure we saw everything we came to see! THANK YOU!! Finally, The itinerary was well thought out and well planned. These are the memories that always make me happy – They were just great people, full of kindness, and hospitality like nowhere else. I couldn't recommend more this company highly. Whatever you do.!! Don’t visit Morocco without them!
This tour was amazing. Having a super driver, Said, made the trip even more exciting. He drove safely, was always punctual, gave us all the necessary information and explained about the daily lives of local people. We cannot thankful him enough. More than 2000km drive. We had lots of fun with him. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone planning to travel to Morocco. Thanks again Said for the great trip.
I am so lucky we decided to take a tour with Said and Desert Trips! If we hadn't, I think we would have missed the heart and soul of Morocco! This trip includes a lot of time on the road, but it's worth it to see the cities, landscapes, and people that make this country so special. We particularly enjoyed the Fes tour, and of course the highlight of a night in the beautiful Sahara desert at Erg Chebbi. The Oasis camp is beautiful, and we never had any issues with our accommodations, which were all great. The hotel in Dades Gorge was particularly impressive. Said made our trip extra special by surprising us with a birthday celebration including singing and dancing in the desert. Truly a time we will remember for the rest of our lives.
What's a great experience! Lot of things to see, great Riad (Moroccan-style hotel), foods are fabulous. My friend and I just got explored and had such fun together. Thank you so much SAID, our great driver!! You made our trip so special!! Not only a good driver you are, but very friendly, fun with knowledges! We learned so much about Morocco and local Moroccans through you. My impression about Morocco is that people are so energetic, so kind and very safe country. We both are seniors, so this private tour worked perfect for us, too.
A private tour is a fantastic way to see Morocco. Everything from our initial email contact and arrangements through to the car, driver, guide, accommodation, food, and the flexibility was great. We highly recommend DesertTrips. my friend and I truly enjoyed our experience in Morocco, especially our tour guide/driver, who took care of us during the whole trip. Med well arranged our trip and also the accommodation they booked for us was pretty awesome too!! the time flew by but by the time we left, we felt we had seen the country with our eyes and with our hearts. Our guide was an excellent driver from the crazy traffic in the cities to the mountain passes, we felt safe and relaxed. I was expecting a magical experience, but it was much much more!! Khalil was our bridge for language, finding ATMS, what to order, how to pay, adjusting transportation, finding our riads/hotels, and special stops. We learned so much about history, culture, religions, food, art, gardens, Deserts, camels, language... etc. Stopped at so many interesting places all over the country. the restaurants we visited were excellent and very inexpensive while being authentic in all ways. the flexibility for things like time for lunch breaks in the driving and there was a lot of driving. during the time spent in the desert, it was difficult to focus our view on something because there were so many beautiful views! We rode camels into the deep desert to watch the sunset woke up to the sunrise, and sandboarded over the dunes to enjoy the tranquility of the magic desert. Standing on the sand dunes and watching the sunrise is not the same as going to other countries. we loved every day and every new place we visited. lastly, I would like to thank "DesertTrips" for arranging the best guide/driver, "Khalil" to give us, he was always willing to accommodate our wishes while accomplishing our goals, service was so personalized and valued for the price. that I will use it again for sure!!
We have never been to Morocco before and didn’t really know what to expect when we booked this 8 day tour. In the end, it was one of the best decisions we could have made! Our driver Said was incredible and made the trip super smooth and fun. Even though you spend quite a chunk of time in the car, because of the beautiful scenery and good driving, it didn’t feel tiring at all and was super enjoyable. Said made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our trip to the fullest the entire time! At one point my partner needed some medicine and Said found us a doctor and acted as a translator to make sure we got everything we needed, and we really appreciate it to this day. We loved every Riad and hotel that we stayed at, with the Oasis Desert Camp and Bahhammou Riad definitely being the highlights! We also customised our trip to include a wine tour in Volubilia, which was a great stop between Chafcheoun and Fes. The guides that we got in Fes and Marrakech were knowledgable and just very kind people. We finished the trip in Essaouira and we loved the tour very much, and were quite sad to part with Said in the end. We would definitely recommend this to everyone planning to explore Morocco!
We were a group of 10 consisting of 3 families and were satisfied with the itinerary overall. The choices of hotels and riads for our itinerary (all 3.5-4 stars) were awesome and we are most thankful for Said and Tarik. Their hospitality, kindness and warmth was everything we needed to help us navigate Morocco. No task was too big or too small - they were extremely accommodating of our group size and ages and prioritised our safety at every opportunity. More than anything, they were generous with sharing the Moroccan experience and Moroccan life with us. I would not hesitate booking a trip with DesertTrips and will be recommending them to anyone we know!
We were met at Tangier Airport by guide Taariq and driver Syed on a 7 night, 8 day trip through Morocco. Our flight was delayed but they patiently waited, took us to look for dinner after midnight and it was a very pleasant and memorable dinner, giving us an excellent first impression of Morocco and its people and culture. We hadn’t realised that we had chosen our trip at the Feast holiday however Taariq and Syed made all arrangements seamlessly. These young men went above and beyond in every way to keep us happy,to fulfill all our requests and they worked long hours. Syed despite young in age was a safe driver and we were never stopped by the Police for any reason. We will carry happy memories of this trip. Hassan and Mustafa were also great guides, very knowledgeable and friendly and patient.. My family and I would greatly recommend Desserttrip anytime. Kudos to this tour company.
Just got back from 8 day tour with our guide/driver Mr Saiid and count yourself very lucky if you get him. He is very knowledgeable, funny and entertaining. He always was available to us. We had a reliable, nice and clean véhicule. Our accommodations were first class in some of the most beautiful Riads you could imagine. and probably would have never thought to stay in anything but a hotel if it hadn’t been for them. All of the riads were unique in their design and experience, and we started everyday with a generous and delicious breakfast the food provided was universally excellent. and were well situated in a location that was close to the markets and that felt safe. It was a stress free trip as everything was planned out from our hotels, sighting seeing and half the meals, It was the most fun and adventurous 8 day. There are so many special moments we will remember forever: local cuisine at local restaurants; the camel and ATV rides through the desert during sunset; staying in the desert camp; and having a tour of Chefchaouen; too many to write. The guides we had in some of the cities were nice and knowledgeable. One word for this tour is ‘’perfect’’ We have traveled a lot around the world but this trip was unique in its own way. From our initial contact with Med to meeting our Guide/Driver Saiid we knew we were going to have a great time. Saiid made all the difference, He made this trip an amazing experience. He met us at the airport and instantly made sure we were comfortable on our way to the hotel. While driving across the country, from the cities to the desert to the mountains to the ocean! we saw many towns, and rural areas and watched Berber living throughout the Atlas Mountains, with stops whenever we wanted to take amazing landscape pictures. We knew this would be an amazing trip, but we could never have imagined the extraordinary experience that DesertTrips and Saiid would create for us. Already planning our next trip back to Morocco to see even more of this beautiful country and will definitely be using DesertTrips company to arrange everything again. Morocco is an outstanding place to visit and I highly recommend taking a tour with this team! Thank you!
We absolutely recommend Desert Trips! They organized an eight-day private imperial cities tour for our family of four (husband, wife, 12-year-old, and 13-year-old) at short notice. All arrangements, bookings, itineraries, and coordination with destination teams were top-notch without any issues whatsoever. This allowed us to focus on exploring the beautiful country, learning and appreciating the history, and enjoying the fantastic food. Said, our driver was exceptional! He was knowledgeable, utterly flexible in accommodating what we wanted to do, and focused on our needs. Give these guys a try! They went above and beyond, from picking us up at the airport to dropping us back!
Based on some very positive reviews on TripAdvisor we booked our 8d/7N tour of Morocco with desertTrips. The whole process was very professional, quick and easy to book. They arranged for all our overland transport, hotels, guided city tours and activities. The itinerary was well made, hotel choices were good and in great location, The 4wheel drive was always clean & in perfect condition, our driver/ guide Mr. Said was always on time to meet us with his friendly smile. Thank you so much Med and Said, We had the absolute best time and can't wait to be back again. Everything you arranged for us was perfect and we loved it. It was so wonderful to have everything organised for us. We will definitely recommend you to our friends.
The tour in Morocco is very complete: you will know North and South, rich cultures and special natural landscapes and views. For me, the special part was going to the desert. The cabin is really comfortable and has everything that you need and the people there are amazing. Your trip is safer with a local driver, that know many things about the people and places. The traffic could be a little dangerous, but I think that is cultural. More one reason for need a local driver. As a tip: don’t feed the animals and enjoy your trip :)
My girlfriend and I chose the road to Morocco for 8 days and had the most amazing time. Deserttrips took care of everything for us and allowed us a stress free trip. We were provided with an excellent travel program and the best driver in the world :) It was an amazing experience sightseeing and also getting to try the local food in each place. I strongly recommend booking through deserttrips and can’t thank them enough for a lovely time traveling in Morocco!
I honestly cannot recommend it enough! My friends and I chose DesertTrips Company for our first small trip to Morocco together. They were super easy to plan with, and we are super happy we trusted them to book the transportation, guides, and hotels/riads as everything seemed to work out perfectly - all of the hotels were ideal and close to the center of each city. The activities included were great and the value received was well worth the price. Seen some amazing places like Chefchaouen, Fes, Merzouga Desert, and Marrakech with great activities included and most importantly met amazing people. Our guide/driver Saiid was fantastic and became part of our friends. He offered advice on extra activities, and food.....etc. He made everyone welcome and accommodated everyone. The best way to travel or see Morocco, DesertTrips! We were so grateful we chose this team. Would highly recommend booking with them and would definitely consider booking again in the future, especially if they promise to give us Saiid as our guide!
First time traveling in Morocco, and this won't be my last. this company's private tour was extremely amazing but what made it more wonderful was our driver/guide, Hassan. He was extremely informative, helpful, and always there for us when we needed him. He's an absolute credit to the "DesertTrips". I honestly couldn’t have booked the trip myself figuring out the hotels & Riads. etc, I was so glad to leave that to the professionals, and my mother and I had the best trip ever with the best memories. I made some fantastic friends on this trip while visiting some fascinating cities and we felt safe during the entire trip, we took an optional cooking class at Fes; it was educational and tasty. We have had the most incredible time of our life in Chefchaouen, one of the most beautiful towns in Morocco. You'll be captivated by the authentic and beautiful blue alleys. From start to finish the trip ran as smoothly as it did with a huge thanks to this wonderful group as we could rock up and enjoy knowing everything was taken care of. I will and have already recommended this company to friends and family and will certainly use it again for future bookings! Thank you so much, DesertTrips team.
We had an amazing experience touring Morocco thanks to Our driver and guide Khalil of DesertTrips. During our 8 day trip which started in Marrakech, my husband and I visited the historic sites in Fes, Chefchaoun, Tangier, Rabat and ended by taking a flight from Casablanca. Khalil, took care of our comfort throughout the trip. His 4-wheel drive vehicle was very comfortable and he made sure to stop on the way to show us olive trees and factory, or drive through the beach jn Assilah, or stop at the ceramic factory to watch the artisans making pottery. In each city we also had local guides as we toured the bazaars and palaces. The whole journey touring Morocco, together with a running commentary of this beautiful country by Khalil, exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend using DesertTrips and Khalil for your vacation in Morocco.
Exploring the country and culture of Morocco was truly amazing. We landed in Casablanca on the first day and received the biggest welcome from our guide and driver Saiid. The car was new and everything worked out very well. I love his music selection!! And I need to give a special thank you to Saiid. He brought a lot of laughing to our journey with his thoughtfulness, kindness, and humor, and we asked him a lot of questions on the road and he did respond with thoughtful and detailed explanations all the time. He cared a lot about what we would like to do instead of just following the plan and offered a few tips as a local Moroccan. The hospitality I experienced with Saiid is a reflection of the hospitality I received through every town we visited. Med was very helpful in putting together an itinerary that fit our limited amount of time while working with us on customizing the trip with our requested destinations. The accommodations that were booked for us were great and our room was so big, the Riad Ahlam in Fez was hidden behind the ancient walls and narrow walkways - but opened up into some of the most impressive architecture!! Anyway, Med made this a trip of a lifetime. I strongly recommend this team and don't hesitate to contact them if you want to visit Morocco!! The whole tour was amazing for us, the big and splendid mosque in Casablanca, the Northwestern of Morocco: Chefchaouen the blue city on the hill, Marrakech and Meknes filled with history, culture, shopping in Rissani, the camel ride and overnight stay in a Oasis Luxury Camp in Merzouga (It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life), but by far the most remarkable day for me was the Madina in Fez with our local guides Hassan (He brought a lot of laughter), plus many other places and the landscapes and the local people along the driveways. They showed the professional side to make our trip as easy and comfortable as can be and also the human side to make us feel welcome while in Morocco. We felt well taken care of, truly cared for, and safe every moment of the trip lasted 8 days.
Could not imagine having a better experience in Morocco. Everything went smoothly from the initial contact with DesertTrips, through the pre-planning process and follow-up with Med, and along the trip itself with our professional, highly knowledgeable, and friendly tour guide/driver Said. Said was so much fun and kept us entertained the whole time and he was always so patient and greeted us with a big smile every day. My friend and I still messaged him on WhatsApp even after returning to the USA. We also enjoyed all of our local guides including Fes and Marrakech. We had an excellent day tour With them, they knew the city well and clearly loved where they were from, having them take us through the Medina was a real treat, they navigated it perfectly and explained the different sections as we explored. They also took us to an excellent place for street food where many locals were eating. The hotels and Riads were fantastic and it was hard to pick a favorite. They were spotless, comfortable, 1st Class, with Moroccan flair, and with perfect location in the area. We felt the cost was very reasonable. The food in Morocco was fantastic and we did not have a bad meal anywhere inside or outside of our hotels. The add-on activities and sites were well organized and we were delivered on time to all activities. The tour car was large enough for all of our large luggage, comfortable, fairly new, with A/C. We were met at the airport by Said, who didn't stop smiling the entire tour. He took such good care of us gave us and really went out of his way to make our trip special by tailoring our stops to our specific interests. We enjoyed being with him every day and we trusted his Moroccan insight and felt very safe everywhere we went he directed us to the best things of interest at every stop and advised us as to what to do and what not to do if we were unsure. For anyone wanting to see all Morocco has to offer, we highly recommend using DesertTrips and Said, we guarantee you will have a wonderful time in Morocco. It was a great way to explore the country. We focused on exploring and sightseeing, without having to worry about the logistics. We are so glad we chose to do a private tour with DesertTrips and we were able to go at our own pace. I couldn’t recommend him more highly. It was an experience far from the lives we know and truly etched in our hearts.
We had a very pleasant and safe family trip through Morocco. From day one till the end, our family of 3 wouldn't change a thing! The service we had from DesertTrips from the very beginning for organizing the tour, was very satisfying and you could see that you are dealing with a professional and a serious agency. Accommodations, guidance, information, general conversations, and time spent on the road were excellent. The dealings with Med for one year leading up to the trip were exceptional, he was always there to respond to my questions and coordinate the tours. The trip was very well scheduled and the choice of Riads & Hotels was remarkable. The driver Ali was excellent, and was all the way with us, safe and fun all of the tours, and the car provided was spacious and very comfortable. We got to know the history of Morocco, its different landscapes, and multiple cultures. He went out of their way to make the trip amazing for both adults and children and we cannot thank them enough. Everyone went above and beyond to make the trip special. I mentioned that I would love to learn how you cook Moroccan tagine and the next day we had a cooking class for us set up with a local family! Ultimately, the trip was an incredible experience we will not soon forget. I personally liked the trip to the Sahara and the exceptional view of the stars at night. The Desert was the highlight of our trip, walking through a local traditional market, amazed by so many fresh fruits and vegetables from there!! Love camel riding and the luxury tent experience, enjoy watching singing, and dancing with all Berber people. A truly surprising experience in a magical country. DesertTrips handled any and all needs that may arise, as well as, impromptu requests to ensure a fantastic experience. As the person who usually has to plan, coordinate, and manage the trip, having this guided tour allowed me to relax and enjoy the experience without stress. Morocco is a sensational country with varied geography from the ocean to the higher Atlas Mountains to old cities!! Oh, we will definitely go back someday. I fully recommend this experience!!
My Mom and I just returned from a 8 day Trip of Morocco with DesertTrips starting from Marrakech to Dades Valley to Erg Chebbi to Fes to Chefchaouen to Casablanca, Med was quick and thorough with every email and happy to customize the itinerary to fit everything we hoped to see. including all accommodations, guides,This was our first ever guided trip and well worth it to experience Morocco in such an enriching and interactive way. We did way more than just see the sights. We met the people, made friends and experienced life with them in a meaningful and memorable way. A local driver and guide Said was our driver/guide and he is an excellent guy who took good care of us. He born and raised in the desert, worked in desert camps/Hotels, worked as camel guide, has been doing the driver/guide for years and speaks English very well he is very good knowledge about local perspective the culture and places from all over the country. I would highly recommend Said, And of course, Morocco was amazingly beautiful! Each day brought new discoveries and new appreciations for nature's beauty. From the vast Atlas Mountains to the peaceful dunes of Erg Chebbi, I found myself taking a lot of photo, Morocco is a diverse culture and geography must be experienced in person and I highly recommend DesertTrips and there teams. Do it! Just do it! Do not hesitate and just go.This was one of my favorite trip ever!!
We had an 8 day tour organised by Desert Trips. We spent an amazing 8 day trip in beautiful Morocco. Our driver guide Said was awesome. I am a very bad passenger and the drivers can be a little wild in Morocco, but Said drove very well and he got us to our destinations safely. Said is very knowledgeable about Morocco and the cities we visited. He is friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, reliable, is fun and has a great sense of humour. I like to chat and ask a lot of questions and he answered every question I had. He is an awesome guide and we were very happy to have him as our guide in Morocco. He picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at the airport a week later. Desert Trips planned a jam packed interesting itinerary, we loved the local culture, history and architecture. We would like to visit the north of Morocco in the near future and will definitely be using Desert Trips again. Thank you Desert Trips for making our holiday in Morocco unforgettable!
The whole trip was so amazing. The tour guides were very accommodating and hospitable. We were able to make the most of our short stay thanks to them. Was nice enough to take us to various shops so we could buy some souvenirs to take home. Toured the medina, went camel riding, went to the mountains, went to see how argon oil was made, and so much more in just two days. Everyone was very hospitable and happy to answer any questions. Will absolutely hundred percent recommend!
