It was an excellent trip. The number of places we visited and the new experiences we encountered in 10 days was incredible. The itinerary was also packed, which we liked as we got to see so many different parts of Morocco. All the tour guides were exceptional as well. The hotels that were included were very good for the price and value - always clean, and comfortable. Morocco has too much to offer… One of the most fun moments was when I went to the Merzouga desert, where I rode a camel and went sandboarding. At the beginning, I was a little nervous before climbing the dunes, but when I jumped on the camel, it was pure adrenaline. Also, the buggy ride through the desert was incredible, especially at sunset. Then, in Marrakech, the atmosphere changes completely. The city has a cool mix of modern and traditional, and there is always something to do. You can feel the history in every street and the energy of the Jemaa el Fna is special. Walking around the city and learning more about its culture was something I really enjoyed. Special thanks to our driver, Yidir, for his support and all the amazing explanations during this trip. He shared so many interesting details and stories that helped us better understand and appreciate the history and culture of each site. Thanks to him, we felt genuinely connected to every destination. It was a super complete trip: delicious food, adventure, beautiful landscapes, and a lot of culture. I would definitely come back again!!!

This was the best experience we ever had on a guided private tour. Our driver and guide Omar was fantastic. He was always looking out for us and made this trip so memorable. He guided us through all of Marocco. He explained the culture and the way of living in this beautiful country. The car was always clean and fresh water was available for us every day. Omar made this trip fun and very special. We recommend this trip very strongly.
Manage to book for 9 days private trip with them. Reasonably priced and accommodative. Mr Said was very patience throughout this whole trip, always lookup for us and to ensure that we are safe. He is also very flexible and always give good advice. Bringing us to enjoy good local foods, especially the very first day the fish and chips restaurant at Casablanca. The Fish and chips was not oily yet crispy. Mr Said is very friendly and cheerful, during long journeys he will try to turn on good music and ensure that we don’t feel bored. Very happy to have him as our guide and driver. As he is so good that along the journey during toilet break some other tourists will enquire from us how we manage to book him. Thanks Mr Said and company.
We booked a 10 day road trip in Morocco with desert trips. Superb itinerary. Beautiful tour guides, excellent food, seamless transportation, and we stayed at some lovely unique hotels. Our driver was Said. We had a great time with him and enjoyed the trip very much! His English was excellent, so we were able to communicate well. He was helping with explanations and by adding places to stop for lunch or additional visits to complete the day. And to top it off, he suggested a wonderful beach restaurant at the end of the day and waited beyond our 2 hours so we could have a great meal. He told us a lot about Moroccan family culture and we could ask him any questions which we liked to asked. We laughed a lot with him and really enjoyed the trip :-)
I had a great trip in Morocco.Said, my driver&guide was the most knowledgeable, experienced, thoughtful, helpful person to have on this first-time Morocco adventure. He took great care of me. Each day topped the last. From exploring the imperial cities, markets, and museums....etc. Then driving to the Sahara Desert! My favorite time was in the desert. I really enjoyed riding the camel and staying in the luxury camp. I also appreciated all of the special guided tours in my different locations. I CAN GO ON! But you need to experience this trip for yourself! You won’t be disappointed if your goal is exploration. Overall, with well organised, excellent guides and hotels/riads, and an immersive cultural experience! I would say it was an AMAZING TRIP!
This was a great trip from start to finish! Khalil was very responsive from the moment we booked and sent us a hotel/riad list well in advance. They picked great riads and hotels. Said was a great driver too, always timely and flexible..and entertaining! We never felt rushed during any of the tours and it truly was personalized for what we wanted. Ali, our guide at Chefchaouen knew exactly where to take us for all the photos, we felt like we were on a photoshoot! Medi in Fes was extremely knowledgeable not only in that city but in the culture and little facts. The pace was well balanced too...with long driving days balanced with short and multiple night stays to get a feel of the place. It didn't feel excessive or repetitive and was efficient. We felt like the value for the price was great and worth it for the freedom of having to plan yourself. Highly recommend!
This was a seamlessly organized TRIP... Khalil spent days working with me to put together an itinerary that matched all the areas and places we wanted to see. He went out of his way to research and fulfill some special requests of our Family. The timing was GREAT, as were the hotels, and all private tours in each city with local guides. As important, we had a private car with a driver, SAID. SAID was well informed, fun, and helpful, making this journey even more special. Can't say enough Good things about our experience!! We highly recommend them for anyone seeking a thoughtfully curated, high touch Moroccan Journey.
Just got back from a 10 day trip with my husband. This was a bucket list trip for us and it was even better than expected. Said was our guide and he made sure the timing of everything was flawless. It was so nice to go away and not have to plan anything or worry about timing or what we are going to do. I do wish there was less time driving, but it is also the only way to get to these places and I would not have wanted to miss out on any of the stops that we made. All of our accommodations were clean and very inviting. We felt very safe and welcome everywhere that we went. Thank you to Said and Adil for making our trip so special.
We spent 8 nights and 9 days with our driver and guide, Said. Thanks to him, we were able to enjoy the trip without having to worry about the logistics , especially the long drives between cities. There were significant travel times on many days, such as from Casablanca to Chefchaouen, and from Chefchaouen to the Sahara Desert. Having Said handle the driving made the journey smooth, safe, and completely stress-free for us. We particularly enjoyed our night in Dades Valley, the accommodation was excellent, and the food and hospitality were truly outstanding. Particularly the location of the accommodation, overlooking the valley, as well as the best homemade almond cookies ! The view and experience in Sahara desert was also magical . Our itinerary was also quite packed, with guided tours, walking tours, and long drives between destinations. If you prefer having more free time to explore at your own pace, we would recommend allowing additional days in your schedule to make the trip more relaxed. Thanks again for everything.
I approached DesertTrips reasonably last-minute, having already booked flights. Med did an excellent job organizing a ten-day trip in Morocco. He made everything easy! It was delightful to meet our driver Saîd at Casablanca airport. He drove us to our hotel, giving us details of the following days and facts about Morocco, and assisted us with changing our dollars into dirhams, then left us to settle into our hotel for the evening. Saîd was absolutely fabulous!!! With his wicked sense of humor and vast knowledge of his home country, the conversations were as much the highlight of the trip as were the destinations! This trip to Morocco was on my bucket list for twelve years, so to finally get there & have a perfectly tailored experience for us (a mad travel junkie) & be entertained along the way made the whole experience better than I could have wished for. Everyone was so friendly to us, both guides and local people, and I am very excited to return to Morocco in the future to explore the southern regions of this huge and enticing country. All in all, from pre-planning and hotels to activities, food, guides, and the car to the waving off at the airport—superb. DesertTrips is like Moroccan people themselves—fair, honest, warm and welcoming. Go and go quick!!!
We absolutely loved our 9 night trip around Morocco. My husband, our 22 year old daughter and I were amazed at the diversity of the landscapes and enjoyed learning about Morocco’s culture and history. We chose the 3/4 star hotel option and were pleasantly surprised at the hotels and riads we stayed in. They were all very clean, had great breakfasts and were in excellent locations so we could explore on our own in the evenings. They were also near lots of great restaurants for dinners out. The Toyota Prado we traveled in was very comfortable and had plenty of room for us and our luggage. Our driver Said, was an excellent driver and we always felt very safe, whether it was driving on icy roads in the Atlas Mountains or in the crazy traffic in Marakesh. He was always punctual and a very pleasant travel companion. By the way he loves football! The itinerary was really well paced with excellent tour guides meeting us to show us the highlights in Rabat, Fes, and Marrakech. Although we drove large distances there were always interesting things to see and scenic spots to get out along the way.
We left Casablanca and arrived in Marrakech. It was an incredible trip; we saw everything, from the mosque built on the sea to the oldest in Morocco. Beautiful cities like the capital Rabat , the Blue city Chefchaouen, and the old city Fez will remain in your heart. Marrakech is unique, with its enormous market. We had the opportunity to visit the desert, ride camels, and even take a quad bike ride. We then met the nomads and ate their food. All the cities had a guide booked for the medina and the main sights. In short, a unique experience that I recommend to everyone. All this was possible above all thanks to Said, our tour guide. He accompanied us through all the cities, making strategic stops at key points around Morocco, such as the "Switzerland" of Morocco or the various farms selling argan oil, rose water, the gorges todra and so on. Thank you, Said, for your availability, kindness, and friendliness throughout the trip. You are unique; we will never forget you.

We took a 10 day tour around Morocco and had a great time. Our driver Adi was helpful, friendly, a good driver, and very professional throughout the trip. The tour guides were also extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Our accommodations were clean and in great locations in all the cities we stayed in. The overall experience was phenomenal and we are glad we chose this tour!
Private Marrakech and Desert Adventure | Nov 2025 Ireview會會食食食 KM First class service!!! We first traveled with DesertTrips as a family. We felt so cared for by the team that I decided to work with them the following year to do a small group retreat. Once again, they delivered a seamless, unforgettable experience. From pre-planning to the final day, every detail was handled with enthusiasm and precision. They were flexible with last-minute changes, met every special request | had for my group (of which I had many), and always made us feel genuinely cared for. Their honesty, loyalty, and professionalism made the entire process easy and stress-free. DesertTrips consistently goes above and beyond, adding thoughtful touches that turn a trip into something extraordinary. If you want a personalized, trustworthy, and truly special travel experience, I couldn't recommend Desert Trips more. You are simply missing gut if you choose elsewhere We created a lifelong fiendship with our quides - truly truly special, caring people.
The 10 day tour was perfectly organized and we really enjoyed our time in Morocco. We experienced all different facets of the country, saw the most important monuments and got interesting insights into the culture, religion, and life. Many thanks also to our driver Said who drove us securely to all interesting spots. We can definitively recommend this tour.
Amazing!!! If you would like to experience a trip of a lifetime then this tour and our guide Said ticked all the boxes. The amazing cities, landscapes, cuisine , people- Morocca has stolen our hearts. The driving around the country was such a highlight, lots of laughter and stories and history. Thankyou, Chocrun- my heart is full xxx Laurian
We had an incredible 9-day trip throughout Morocco thanks to DesertTrip and our amazing driver, Said. Everything was so well organized — from the cities like Casablanca, Rabat and Fes to the desert — and the itinerary gave us the perfect mix of adventure and cultural experiences. Riding camels at sunset, zooming through the dunes on ATVs, and sharing Berber pizza with a welcoming Nomad family were unforgettable highlights. The food was fresh and delicious throughout, and every guide we met was passionate and knowledgeable. DesertTrip was flexible, responsive, and made the entire trip memorable. Once again huge shoutout to our driver Said, who ensured that we had a truly authentic experience of both the Moroccan landscape and culture.
About DeserTrips Agency: - Service: excellent, quickly reply, attentive - Driver: kind, patient, dedicated, responsible (Said was amazing) - Logistic: well organized, punctual, a tour guide is always waiting for us in every place, car is clean and comfortable, changes can be arrange quickly. About the Tour: - Pros: flexibility, personalized, covers all moroccon highlights, carefree about luggage and transfers. - Cons: lunch, entrances and gratuity will double the expenses; 4 days in car driving for aprox 4h per day can be exhausted but you will have several stops. Riads are charming and beautiful but have the same breakfast (not buffet and mostly carbs) and have least amenities compared to hotels. From best to worst Riads that we stay: Dade Valley, Fes, Marrakech, Chefchouen and Merzouga. Recommendation: be proactive with the itinerary, ask every detail to improve communication of what to expect, how to be prepared and what do you want. I prefer to start in Marrakesh and finish in Casablanca (the best first). At the end, we were tired. About the Places: - Most beautiful mosque in Casablanca - Chefchaouen is a pintoresc town, more nightlife - Fes deserve a better tour and maybe more time, old medina is overwhelming - Merzouga is the most difficult place to be but riding camel into the dunes is the top experience in Morocco -Breathtaking nature views: dunes in Sahara, Toughdra Gorges and Dades Valley - Ourzatate historical places used in cinema: Kabash Amridil and Ksar Ait Benhaddou - Best city: Marrakesh (spend more days here if you can, shop only here) About Morocco: - Pro: rich culture, beautiful nature, good food, hospitality, affordable, flexible (as muslim country), poliglot, safe and clean, spectacular craftsmanship, friendly with kids. - Cons: heat (A/C not popular, few shadows), no credit card accepted in most places, it's tiring to haggle over prices and probably you will end up ripped off. Morocco is a stunning country and so underrated. You will not regret this tour specially if you go with your family. Tips: - Bring a lot of cash and change quickly asap ($10-15 USD per adult every lunch, $5-10 gratuity for everything, $5-20 entrances fees) - Don't forget sunscreen and breathable clothes with UV protection (no need to cover all skin as women) - Don't overpack, shopping is great - Be careful if you go with children under 8 years old, more risk of GI issues as my son had - Avoid during summer (June to August -- the heat is unbearable)
From the moment i landed in Casablanca to the final moments in Marrakech every part of the journey was thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed. the entire experience was seamless relaxing and filled with unforgettable moments traveling by wonderful, clean, and comfy vehicle from Casablanca to Chefchaouen, to Fes, to Merzouga, to Marrakech. Top Notch! Any questions I had were quickly answered via email. I started with a list of the exciting adventures I was looking to have (camel rides, quad biking in the desert, Hammam experience, and traditional cooking class...). The customer service team was awesome and very patient in helping plan the trip with me continually making tweaks until I was happy with the route. I asked for riads/hotels in the city centers not too far from the vital sites and that's exactly what we got. I loved all the riads I stayed in and the central locations made life very simple which is what I wanted. I met my outstanding driver/guide Hassan at the airport. He was very kind, attentive, timely, and friendly, always sharing insights about the region when I asked, and he spent so much time teaching me about Berber and making sure I was enjoying my experience. Along the way, Hassan was always ready to stop at so many beautiful vista points or at any time for pictures and take in the beautiful and varied landscape. I wasn't just a typical tourist, I got to mingle with the locals and even share a meal with them. I was lucky to have him as my driver and it feels like I'm saying goodbye to a buddy in Morocco. My DesertTrips pack was incredibly smooth and truly allowed me to relax and enjoy every moment without once having to worry about the logistics. The trip to Merzouga was so lovely. I stayed two days in the desert which allowed me to spend a full day in the Sahara exploring so many amazing sights. Watching the sunrise from a nearby dune in the Sahara was a dream come true. I spent a day in Dades Valley and then headed toward Marakkesh through the High Atlas mountains. I ended my trip to Marrakesh and I enjoyed its traditional cooking class and so many amazing things there. Overall I had an epic trip and would highly recommend the DesertTrips team. I've no doubt I'll book through them again in the future. A lot of thanks to the whole team for making my trip so adventurous and the most anticipated of my life!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day private tour of Morocco with Desert Tours. Our driver Said was the best, always on time and delivering us safely to each of our destinations. Nothing was too much trouble and always telling us interesting information along the way. Thank you Said for making our trip so enjoyable. The hotels and riads we stayed in were all amazing and always close to the best restaurants and attractions of each city or town. The local guides were all so knowledgeable and passionate about their local areas. Would not hesitate in recommending Desert Tours for a trip to Morocco.
We had amazing time visiting Morocco with Omar as our driver and guide. Not only he knows the culture and the history of Morocco well, he is also a safe driver. He planned the schedule well so we didn't feel tired and also did not miss any attractions alone the way. If you ever plan to visit Morocco, request Omar to be your driver and guide and you will be happy.
What a great, amazing experience!! It’s not only the views/sights we’ve seen in the different cities/places in Morocco (ie Marrakech, Marzouga, Dades, Chefchoun, Rose city, Fez, Ifran , Rabat, Casablanca, Essoaurie , etc) that are amazing but the time we have spent with our driver/guide Said Ouacha made it more great! He is very kind and knowledgeable always making sure that we are comfortable, satisfied I.e. providing us more time to explore these wonderful cities/areas! I give him a 10 + rating and would recommend him to other tourists!! I also highly recommend this tour by Desert Trips. Don’t miss this if you really want to experience the Wonders of Morocco !!!
What a wonderful Morocco! We enjoy the trip and our tour driver Said is very good to us! He makes this trip wonderful for us. Every location are different so really love walking and sightseeing with our guides in different cities. Thanks a lot to everyone we met along the way, Riad, restaurants and all the nice people of Morocco. We really never have issues at all.
The short version of this review: Desert Trips gave our family memories to last a lifetime. From the moment we landed in Casablanca to the final farewell at the airport right back where we started, they delivered outstanding, highly personalized service. We’ve traveled extensively, but this private tour through Morocco stands out as one of the most extraordinary travel experiences we’ve ever had. From the bustling city of Marrakesh to the history of Fes to the unforgettable camel trek through the desert as a family to the luxury desert camp, this trip was spectacular. Now, the details: WHY WE CHOSE DESERT TRIPS: Morocco had long been on our travel list, but it felt more exotic—and potentially less navigable—than our usual destinations. I read a lot of company reviews. After reading glowing reviews for Desert Trips (they rely solely on TripAdvisor and word of mouth), I reached out and was immediately impressed. Med, the manager, and Khalil, the owner, were kind, responsive, and genuinely committed to creating an exceptional experience from day one. Their attentiveness was particularly reassuring when a health concern arose before our trip—they never pressured us, only showed concern for our family’s wellbeing. That level of care was evident throughout our entire journey. CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE: As we chose the private tour option, we were able to craft our own itinerary with input from the team, and we covered a lot of ground in 10 days: Casablanca, Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fes, the Merzouga Desert, the Dades Valley, and Marrakech, with stops at many scenic and historical sites in between. It was a fast-paced itinerary by choice, and although there were long drives, they were broken up by engaging commentary, panoramic stops, and some sweet surprises. OUR DRIVER: Said, our private driver, was a large part of our journey. From the moment he greeted us at the airport with his towering presence—with a hearty handshake, a big laugh and a tray of Moroccan cookies—he made it his mission to treat us like family. Within minutes, we were learning Moroccan history, and by the end of the first day, my mother-in-law had become “my mom,” a term of endearment he used the entire trip. He was patient with our many questions (and there were many!), sharing insight into Morocco’s geography, climate, and cultural traditions. Said’s deep love for his country—especially the southern region where he grew up—was palpable. Throughout the trip, Said introduced us to local treats like medjool dates, dried figs, and the best orange I’ve ever tasted, bought from a roadside vendor. These moments—while likely planned/scripted —were nevertheless appreciated and memorable. LOCAL GUIDES: Our guide Mehdi in Fes spent the entire day with us and it felt like seeing that amazing city with an old friend. He is warm, charming, and so knowledgeable. We would never have appreciated that city in the same way without him. In Rabat we met Abdel who has a fantastic sense of humor and was also engaging and knowledgeable. Masen took us through Marrakesh and had a history background and a great ability to find the best places in the city to take some excellent group photos of us. We also had a very knowledgeable guide at the Kasbah Amridil, and we enjoyed this visit quite a bit. ACCOMMODATIONS: Every place we stayed was unique—some historic and charming, others modern and sleek. Despite the variability, all were clean, comfortable, and exceeded our expectations given the very reasonable pricing. We didn’t request specific properties, trusting the team’s judgment, and we were delighted at every turn. Our riad in Dades Valley, for example, was newly built and luxurious; others like the riad in Fes, were centuries old and full of local character. A FEW HELPFUL HINTS: • We had two small hiccups: a miscommunication about luggage transport/handling in Chefchaouen and a billing confusion over a meal. Both were handled promptly and respectfully. This company truly wants you to have an excellent experience, and they listen so remember to ask them to clarify any questions you have, even during the trip. I was reluctant to do this as I did not want to create an issue, but in retrospect, it was important to do that as the confusion was easily cleared up and attended to quickly. • Bring tissues/toilet paper with you: not every restroom has toilet paper (a common issue in Morocco, not a reflection of Desert Trips). This is not true of your hotel/riads, just while traveling in some cities. • Be prepared to tip hotel staff, porters, and local guides throughout your stay. Most were excellent, and a few were exceptional—well worth the gratitude. We tipped over the suggested amounts nearly everywhere as the service was quite good. • Entrance fees to the mosque in Casablanca and the Kasbah Amridil are not covered. These are both worth the cost. There are also options along the way to pay some entrance fees on the tours, especially in Marrakesh. We chose to opt out of paying those. The Majorelle Garden cost is fairly high per person. I personally would have just chosen the ticket for the garden only, not the garden/museum combination ticket if I were to do that again. Arrive at the gardens at least 20 min earlier than your ticket entry time as there is a line queue. The company will provide a link to purchase tickets (with a suggested time based on your touring that day) a few days earlier than your arrival in Marrakech as advance tickets are a must. • Expect stops at places like the argan oil cooperatives or rose water collectives. While these are commercial, the quality seemed high, and there’s no real pressure from Desert Trips to purchase. I personally purchased both as I had intended to do prior to my arrival in Morocco. • Walking is a big part of exploring Moroccan cities. Streets are often uneven and involve stairs—Chefchaouen in particular is tough to navigate if mobility is an issue. My 82-year-old mother-in-law managed with grace, but it was challenging. • The breakfasts provided were variable but always adequate. Some were quite good. We all enjoyed them and were grateful that they were included every day. They are very carb-heavy, so if gluten intolerance is an issue for you, make sure you let the company know this ahead of time. This was not an issue for anyone in our family; however, I suspect the company can navigate this issue for you better than you can on your own at the hotels and riads. There were omelets or eggs offered at many places but not all. There were several kinds of bread offered at almost every breakfast. • If you tend to get motion sickness, bring and take Dramamine or something similar. The roads are often very winding and the pace of driving in Morocco can be rather fast at times with switchbacks/passing along the road through the mountains. I think it is much better to have a driver who knows the roads rather than to navigate them yourself, but those prone to car sickness will likely feel it as a passenger in the absence of good medication daily. • Finally, definitely bring a fair amount of cash or have easy ATM access. You will need cash for gratuities, entrance fees in some places, and most meals that are not already covered on your itinerary. There is a high percent fee, sometimes as much as 13% or higher, for ATM withdrawals. Bringing US cash is important as this is a mostly cash society. This is very different than Europe where credit cards can be used nearly everywhere. I wish we had changed over more money earlier to have a little more cash liquidity. We didn’t want to leave the country with too much Moroccan Durham, as you are actually not allowed to do this and we cannot exchange it back in the US for dollars. But there is quite a little dance between having too much and too little cash on hand, so try to anticipate and plan accordingly. The exchange rate is best in cities like Marrakech and Fes if these are on your itinerary. And your driver can recommend places to exchange money as can your hotels and riads. FINAL THOUGHTS: Desert Trips delivered a once-in-a-lifetime adventure for our family of five—my husband and me, our two teenage sons ages 15 and 19, and my spirited mother-in-law. They combine the polish of a professional outfit with the warmth of a family-run business. If you’re dreaming of Morocco but unsure how to tackle it, I can’t recommend Desert Trips enough (and have already done so to several friends). They’ll handle every detail with care, offer you a front-row seat to the wonders of their country, and most importantly, make you feel right at home.
We booked a 10 day tour with DesertTrips directly. After seeing one of its tours on TripAdvisor that was close to what we were looking for, we contacted DesertTrips and they (Med) quickly modified things to meet our needs and offered a very competitive price. Khalil of DeserTrips established a connection with us through WhatsApp several days before the start of the tour, made some further modifications to the Marrakech part of the tour to better meet our preferences. He did a great job. Hssaine, our driver did an excellent job to ensure the tour met our expectations and was full of local knowledge. His English was excellent too. We were surprised to be his only passengers in an SUV - we were expecting a tour with up to a dozen others, especially for the price quoted.
Right from the moment we left the Casablanca airport Saïd took care of us. There was knowledgeable English speaking guides arranged at the cities and sights we visited. The guides and Saïd answered all of our questions. We learnt about morrocon history, geography, geology and its people's. We visited a lot of areas of Morocco and enjoyed seeing the diversity. All the accommodations and meals were fantastic. We definitely recommend Desert Trips for a memorable Morrocon tour.
Overall Summary: I highly recommend DesertTrips for pre-packaged or customizable trips to experience the highlights of Morocco. DesertTrips and Said made our 9-day/9-night trip to Morocco a most memorable vacation. Booking: I booked directly through DesertTrips as none of their offerings on Tripadvisor had the specific number of days/nights I was looking for and this approach also allowed me to customize the trip itinerary with DesertTrips. DesertTrips was very responsive and flexible throughout this process and adapted the itinerary to our needs. Payment was securely made through WeTravel, with 1/3 of payment made upfront and the remainder paid in full on the day of arrival. The trip we booked was essentially the same as the 10 Days Morocco Private Tour from Casablanca with the exception that ours was 9 days, we removed Chefchouan out of the itinerary, and we booked our own accommodations. Pick-up and Drop-off: Our driver Said and Yousef (last day only), were always on time for any pick-ups arriving prior to pre-arranged times. Driver (Said): Our driver provided us with outstanding service throughout. Driving in Marocco cities can be a challenge, but his experience and safe driving skills made it that we always felt safe. He is very friendly and enhanced our experience by sharing his insights about all the different regions we visited, sharing his knowledge about the culture and remaining flexible to adapt to any request we made during the visit, be it for pick-ups/drop-offs. The recommendations he gave us, and the connections he has in Morocco made our trip memorable throughout. When we wanted to stop for pictures he would do so as well as making recommendations for places and activities we needed to experience such as ATV'ing in Erg Chebbi, and what a blast that was! Vehicle: The vehicle provided was very clean and comfortable and always stocked with bottled water. It was a 4x4 Toyota Prado which had air conditioning. Included Tour Guides: Roman Ruins of Volubilis - Our guide spoke French and English among other languages and gave us a great tour of the site. Having a guide certainly enhanced the visit. Tour of Fes - Our guide could speak over 7 languages fluently. His ability to articulate the history of Fes and bring us to historic sites was above par. We really enjoyed our time with him and you could tell he enjoys his work. Tour of Marrakech - Our tour guide spoke English well and gave us the option for a more cultural visit versus seeing busy well known sites. We opted for the cultural option, seeing different parts of the medina which included a visit of the Marrakech Museum. For some reason, he did not seem all that motivated and the tour ended around 1400 a couple hours short of the intended end of the tour. The tour was good at best but could have been better and more enriching. I felt like I could have done a self guided tour and would have achieved the same. 9 Day Itinerary – Overall, this itinerary is great!! If I had to change anything about this itinerary is that I would have taken the morning to visit the Hassan II Mosque, then travelled to Rabat and would have stayed there on the first night. On our own we visiting downtown Casablanca in the first afternoon and did not find it that great. I think we would have appreciated a little more time in Rabat and this would have lessened the amount of driving on Day 2. Furthermore it would have given us a little more time to see Meknes, Roman Ruins of Volubilis and perhaps have given us time to visit Moulay Idris, which we saw from a distance. The rest of the itinerary is well planned out and there are good stopovers along the way, its not just driving. If I would have had more time, I would have included Chefchouan, and Essaouira.
Had an amazing experience during my 10-day trip, all thanks to Dessert Trips. Every day was well organized and there was little to worry. As 2 ladies, we felt safe with our driver and occasional tour guides. As it was a private trip, we could see everything we wanted and wasted little time waiting for others and had opportunity to customize some of the itinerary. We were able to see so much and enjoy every moment of it. Our driver, Omar, was fantastic! He was punctual, safe in his driving and always ready to provide us advice and information at each location. There are also local guides at certain cities, so we were well cared for. We stayed at accommodations that were amazing, unique with their own charm, and clean. Highly recommend and 2 thumbs up!
The trip was very well organized, the Riad were pretty, clean and comfortable. Said, our driver was extremely accommodating to adjust our trip according to our needs. I would highly recommend this package.
First and foremost I want to say that Morocco will always have a special place in my heart ❤️. Khalil and his team at DesertTrips planned a beautiful 11 days trip around Morocco 🇲🇦 for our family of 9!!! Our van was a modern 18 seat car 🚗. The locations we stayed at were very traditional Dar and Riads. Some of them full of history and culture (one of them from the 1300’s). The mosaics, colors and traditional furniture at these places were out of this world ❤️❤️. In my most humble opinion The Medina in Fes and Marrakech can be overwhelming to some people and maybe someone will prefer to stay in modern hotels but let me tell you that nothing compares to staying at the real thing!!!!!! *If someone is unable to use the stairs please make sure if it’s possible to stay at ground level of The Riad (they don’t have elevators) Also in the city of Chefchaouen the entire town the streets are all stairs so keep that in mind even though the main square is walkable * Every city has its own charm and uniqueness. From the beautiful Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, to the amazing capital of Rabat, to the magnificent Blue city of Chefchaouen, to the old Medina in Fez, to the spectacular Atlas Mountains, to the Magical Sahara Desert 🐪 with the most beautiful night sky 🌌❤️❤️, to the most gorgeous ruins of Ait Benhaddou and its magnificent Kasbah to finally the bustling city of Marrakech for sure Morocco is a gem of a country. But nothing compares to its people and the warmth we felt everywhere!!! Our driver Assou was the most humble, kind and sweet person we could ever ask for. Always ready to help, an outstanding driver and a great friend. Always ready to translate for us and to bargain with the locals. Always ready to provide us with the best possible service and experience. The highlight of the trip I had to say was the Sahara Desert 🐪 with the Camels and the unforgettable night under the stars ⭐️ in my opinion it is and will always forever be one of my most cherished memories. In each city we visited a private tour guide was provided. Every tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable of their own city. The food is amazing. From the exquisite chicken, lamb or beef Tajine with dates and almonds to the couscous with the delicious vegetables and meat to the outstanding Pastilla full of sweetness and salty flavors and let not forget the delicious Mint Tea 😋😋. ****Recommendations for lunch and dinner *** *Casablanca- Rick’s Cafe *Rabat- Any restaurant next to the river/sea ( great seafood ) we went to Marina Palms. *Chefchaouen- The main square has many options for lunch. But at night try to make reservations for Triana (Delicious Food and a Flamenco Show after 8:00pm) This city has a great Spanish influence. *Fes- We had a great lunch at a Restaurant in the Medina with the most delicious Moroccan food- the different types of appetizers were delicious 😋 but I can’t remember the name. At night we went to Restaurant L Amandier at Palais Faraj -Good Choice of Moroccan and Continental food- Also great live music. * At Sahara Desert your Dinner will be included so you don’t need to worry about that. * Marrakech- some friends recommended us a wonderful restaurant “Mizaan”( Great Boeuf Wellington) The second night we went to Comptoir Darna which was recommended by the tour operator and let me tell you that was fantastic. Marvelous food and an unforgettable Belly Dancing Show. All I have to say is that if you’re looking to have an unforgettable vacation and the most exciting experience of a lifetime don’t hesitate and book your trip with this amazing company ( DesertTrips) I assure you that you will never regret it. The best to Khalil his company and lastly to you Assou!! I will never forget you 😊 May God always bless you and your family❤️ Forever Grateful Emixy and Family 🙏🏻
We had a very very wonderful trip. We could visit a lot of places and know many things about the way of life of people from Morocco. This trip made me change the idea I had about Africa continenty
Desert Trips curated an amazing experience that made our trip to Morocco remarkable. We have traveled to over 40 countries and this is THE BEST service we have gotten. The itinerary and logistics were seamless leading up to our trip, making everything extremely smooth as we got on the road and between each unique stop along the way (DesertTrips providing a more detailed summary of each stop, hotels, etc really made us feel like we were in good hands from the start). It all wouldn’t have been possible as well without our amazing guide, driver, and friend Said O. Said made sure that we were extremely comfortable along the journey, going above and beyond to ensure the trip was as memorable as possible. His laughter, jokes, and ability to read a room made all the difference during the time and will be one of the things we remember most about this trip and experience. Desert Trips definitely made an experience that we’ll always remember. From the towering mosque in Casablanca, the blue city of Chefchaouen, the bustling medina of Fes, calm life of the desert, and the controlled chaos of Marrakech, we were able to get a sense of the Berber people, the influence of the Middle East and generations of trade, and what all it means to be a Moroccan. Thank you for the amazing experience!
If this trip isn’t on your bucket list, you’ll be missing out! We traveled from Casablanca to Marrakech with many stops including Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fes, the Sahara, and the Atlas Mountains. Morocco is beautiful, fun and exciting….but that wasn’t what made our trip special. The people we encountered made our trip! Desert Trips is not a tour agent that will put together a trip and send you on your way. They stay in close communication every step of the way from your inquiry until you are back home safely. Khalil will answer every question you have and will work diligently to ensure your trip is exactly as you want it. He has an amazing staff of drivers and guides that are fully focused on keeping you happy, comfortable and safe for the duration of your journey. Said was our driver, and he is the kindest soul!! We fell in love with Chefchaouen, and he gave us extra time there. He stopped along the road many times to buy us dates, bananas, nuts, waters…even souvenirs. He ordered amazing lunches for us in local spots where he knew the food was excellent. He let us play music in his car, took pictures for us, helped us find trusted vendors to shop with and gave us daily hugs to start our early mornings. Most special of all was when he took us to his friend’s home to eat traditional cous cous. We have been so blessed by the staff at Desert Trips. They are uniquely special, and I would highly recommend a trip with them! A+, a jewel in the rough! Look no further. These are your guys. We will definitely travel with them again and are forever grateful for our encounter with them and all the memories we made. Thank you Khalil and Said, from the bottoms of our hearts!!!
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an unforgettable tour led by Assou. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was unforgettable. Whether it was taking us to a local eatery for a delicious meal or helping us capture the perfect photo, his dedication to providing an exceptional experience was evident in every detail. Thank you Assou!
We had 11 great days in Morocco! Our car was of a perfect size for the long car rides and our guide and driver Omar was very very kind. We are so grateful to have had it as our guide. Totally recommend this local, family owned company.
Nothing but great things to say about this tour. I traveled to Morocco the second week of December together with my mom and it was an unforgettable experience from the moment we started the tour. Everything was extremely well thought out, including a detailed document that was shared with us prior to the trip with the itinerary and advice on things to pack (gloves for the camel ride, motion sickness medicine for the scenic drive through the Atlas mountains, etc.), all of which I thought was a great touch. On the actual tour, Saïd Nogot, our driver for the entirety of the trip, was outstanding and took great care of us. He was always on time, made sure we had enough water throughout the trip, answered the dozens of questions we had about Morocco, and checked in with us many times to make sure we were enjoying the trip. He also made extra stops along the drive for us so we could take pictures when he noticed we took interest in the views outside. As daughter and mother, we felt extremely safe during our travels and Saïd made sure to let us know of areas (if any) that might be better to avoid during the night. Overall, I highly recommend booking this tour to visit this beautiful country if you’re looking for an unforgettable experience filled with adventure, culture, delicious food, and wonderful memories.
We traveled as mother and daughter on this trip and had an incredible journey with our driver Saïd. We selected our own accommodations in the different cities and the company created the 10 day itinerary for us. On the trip we were able to experience the diversity of the country - a combination of incredible regional foods, historical and archeological sites and scenic beauty of the country. Saïd was wonderful to us. He was always punctual and made sure we went to safe places. The communication was excellent using WhatsApp. We had a lot of freedom of choosing the restaurants we wanted to go to and Saïd made sure we got there safely and took time to enjoyed ourselves.
Deserttrips delivered a trip that could not have been better. We were pleased to see Said at the arrivals gate because I had read in reviews that he was a great guide and driver, and that turned out to be spot-on correct. We did not have to worry about a thing once we were in the country. Said's local experience in Morocco, coupled with his honest, caring, and hard-working attitude, paved the way for this trip to become a reality. The local guides at specific sites were also excellent without exception. We covered a lot of ground in 10 days and were never bored. The ruins and palaces were magnificent. Riding camels and ATVs in the desert, visiting nomads, and exploring the kasbahs was fantastic! But most of all, we loved staying in the desert. We also loved getting to meet Berber people along the way and stopping at some unbelievable roadside views.
We recently did an 11 day, 10 night tour through Morocco. Our Driver, Said Ouacha, was incredible, his experience and knowledge made our trip so memorable. The accomodation throughout was exceptional and all of the side tour guides he arranged for us in Fes and Marakesh were fantastic. We even got to meet some of his family. It was our 1st time to Morocco and I am sure that it will not be our last. Thank you Said and thank you Morocco.
What an amazing trip! The whole experience was fantastic from day 1 in Casablanca all the way to the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh! The beautiful Chefchauen, amazing city of Fes, the incredible Atlas mountains, my personal favorite: Sahara experience - sleeping in the camp, camel ride, ATV. Morocco is incredible - so rich in history, culture, the nicest people one can meet. And the food - just wow. All made possible by the wonderful team at DesertTrips, and the amazing Sahid, our guide. They are knowledgeable, helpful, curated the perfect itinerary for 10 days, and are very accommodating. The hotels/riyads were very good - everything was 4 stars or above. Highly recommend!
We booked this 10day / 9 night Morocco trip via Viator . We were instantly pleased with prompt communication with the Desert Trips tour operator. We chose this private tour instead of with a large group of other people packed a sardine in a big van and it was the best outcomes for us . We had the van all to ourselves. We were arranged for prompt airport pick up and drop off , prompt communication with us on choice of hotel rooms and accommodations we preferred before the trip began . We visited Casablanca , Rabat , beautiful blue city of Chefchaouen , Fes , and ended our trip in Marrakesh . We had a great time riding camels in the Sahara and we opted for an extra activity with ATV rides over the dunes , highly recommended. Our whole trip was well taken care of by our driver Said . Said was very pleasant, cheerful, exuberant, knowledgeable and made us feel safe the whole time . Said went above and beyond in addition to his driving duty by taking care of us during many unexpected health events, taking us to the clinic, pharmacy, modified daily start time to fit our needs each day , which you will not be able to do with a large group tour options. Said made our whole trip enjoyable and worthwhile. We highly recommend the Desert Trip private tour to anyone who is looking and planning for a trip to Morocco and if possible ask for Said . You will definitely be well-taken care of . Thank you once again Said , now our friend forever .
We just finished an unforgettable 11-day trip through Morocco with Desert Trips, and it was amazing! The fully customizable itinerary was a huge bonus. We added a day and a balloon ride in Marakech. Our guide, Khalil, was fantastic—his warmth and deep knowledge of Moroccan culture made every day special. From airport pickup to drop-off, we felt well taken care of, and all our needs were met. Desert Trips’ connections in the Moroccan tourist industry ensured excellent service, from charming Riads (some centuries old!) to great local dining.
I can only echo the wonderful experiences of others mentioned here. Special thanks to Said, who was our guide for all the 10 days. Who took good care of us. Road trip with kids was expected to be hard, but the 10 days went like a breeze and kids enjoyed it as well. Fes medina was my pick for the tour. Probably because of the nicely it was explained to us by our guide. A huge thanks to Said and organizers for giving us such a memorable experience.
Booked the 10days trip and had a great time with our kids. Said was our tour guide for 10days and he took good care of us. We felt 10 days were just enough to explore most places, especially this being our first visit to Morocco. Their hospitality was truly commendable.
We joined a 10 day tour by DesertTrips. we visited places including Casablanca, Rabat, Chefchaouen, Meknes, Fes, Ziz Valley, Desert of Merzouga, Rissani, Arfoud, Todra Gorges, Dades Valley, Ouarzazate, Ait Benhaddou, Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, and Marrakech. it was an amazing tour that we will never forget, also Moroccan landscape is wonderful. the landscape was unexpected and dramatic, the people friendly, and the entire trip very safe. the car we had was spacious, comfortable and routinely cleaned by our wonderful driver, A lot of people in restaurants and hotels speak English, but it was so helpful to have Khalil. Khalil was our guide & driver for the entire tour around the country. He also replies to our messages within minutes and picks up our calls immediately. his presence made the atmosphere lively and joyful. the best thing is always on time, you never need to look for him, because his always around you. Our daily routine starts with Khalil greeting us at the Melliber Apartment Hotel in Casablanca, giving us a briefing about what our destinations are and what would be the highlights for the day, and hitting the road. riding with Khalil is never boring he is doing an excellent job, we feel all safe and taken care of (I think this is the most important part when you travel in a new country). he told us a lot about the country its history, politics, language, lifestyle, and Amazigh culture (Berber)....talks from time to time depending on where we get to which broadened our horizons! his presence made the atmosphere lively and joyful. also knew exactly what kinds of food we were craving for lunches, and was always able to bring us to the just right local eateries along the trip. Khalil is simply The best guide that I have ever toured with. we had the opportunity in some cities to have a local guide who showed us the best places with background information and histories. while there is a lot of driving, seeing Chefchaouen and sleeping in the Desert were absolutely worth it. we really enjoyed all the experience provided, and we will surely go back again to Morocco to experience it even further. ten day went fast!! we got to ride camels around the desert, drink incredible tea, and watch the sunset in the peaceful desert, the experience was truly wonderful and so was the food! It was an incredible trip, we loved the riads they chose, we liked the food, the people, the history and geography of the country. we would also like to thank our wonderful local guide in Fes, Hassan. he is enthusiastic and is a kind-hearted person. he is also very humorous, which made our tour in Fes a very fun, so many thanks to Med for preparing our itinerary considering all our needs and places we wanted to visit, and he gave the best recommendations in terms of places to explore, Last but not least, big thanks to our responsible driver/guide who kept us safe - Khalil! he truly made this experience more amazing than we could've ever thought possible. It is an experience that I recommend to everyone!
Said was an amazing driver. He was very respectful, kind, and gave us great tips when we navigated around the country. This was an astonishing experience and I fully recommend anyone to go on this trip
Wow, what an amazing trip we just had in Morocco. We returned home last night thoroughly impressed with this exciting and varied country as well as the itinerary, organisation and planning by Desert Trips. I have just now had a look at some of the reviews posted by previous trip goers and can absolutely confirm that all the positive comments are accurate and completely warranted. The photos and itineraries they show are exactly what you would expect and are representative of what we experienced. A real highlight was traveling with Said, our driver guide who accompanied us in the same vehicle for the whole trip. It was comforting knowing that we were safe and secure in his hands. His knowledge of the journey, experience, friendly disposition and helpfulness were outstanding. We were amazed at the number of people he knew and introduced us to along the way. He was always on time with a smile and fresh chilled water and happy to alter the schedule to suit our interests where necessary. He is an extremely generous man with a big heart. We had local guides in Fes and Marrakech who were also excellent. The accommodation and locations at each stop easily met and at times exceeded our expectations. The included breakfasts and dinners were great and introduced us to some (and at times too much) delicious Moroccan food which we are missing already. The trip covers a lot of ground and we were impressed at how much of this geographically and culturally diverse country we were able to experience. The contrasts from modern cities to the sea, mountains, the desert, dry arid landscapes, oasis and fertile farmland were surprising and engaging. We extended our trip by several days (13 in total) and this was no problem for either Said or Desert Trips. We were very grateful that we could customise our plans without any complications. Everything went smoothly without any hiccups at all. Overall we can't speak highly enough of our Moroccan adventure with Said and Desert Trips and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Thank you to Khalil and DesertTrips for planning a perfect holiday in Morocco for us. Everything was so perfectly organized, and personalized and was a better experience than we ever possibly could have had any other way. From the start of planning, Med gave us options and suggestions on places to visit and helped to set our itinerary for our 10-day stay in Morocco. He was able to adjust the itinerary to make sure we visited all the areas of the country that we wanted to see. The result was exactly what we had hoped for. We booked the tour about eight months in advance. Also, Khalil, our driver/guide, is our favorite person and has become family. He had great connections and was generous, knowledgeable, flexible, and personable, he filled our car with excellent tunes, non-stop laughs, and friendship. He shared so much information about his country with us as we traveled, showed us hidden gems that we would have never seen on our own, as we experienced the beautiful landscapes, valleys, architectural features, and Berbers of the Atlas Mountains and farm products that we see on the road....etc. He gave us cultural, historical, and social experiences that we would not have had without him, and engaged in wonderful conversations throughout our trip. He made sure that we were safe and comfortable at all times. He looked like one of the family!! Traveling with Khalil made us feel safe and well looked after. He made our 10 day together one of the best experiences of our lifetime!! And it was difficult to say goodbye at the end of our trip! The trip into the desert and the luxury camp was a highlight. I experienced one of the best evenings of my life sitting under the stars around a fire in the Sahara desert as our Berber hosts sang traditional folk songs, we had never seen as many stars as the night we spent in Erg Chebbi. It’s a moment I will never forget. The first city we visited was Casablanca. As we approached the city with it is picturesque beauty and amazing vistas, we were thrilled. We experienced the friendliest and most welcoming people in the world. This started with the staff of our hotel and continued throughout the Median (old quarter) in all the shops and restaurants. Another captivating and memorable experience was our guided spectacular Hassan II mosque. was a wonderful guide who was quick to share and point out numerous points of interest. Our next stop was Fes. Along the way, we also toured the Roman ruins. We were able to do this without a guide and found it very easy to navigate. Once in Fes, we were greeted by the Riad staff. The entire staff was welcoming. Our room was extremely beautiful, large, and well-appointed. Our stay in Fes was highlighted by a day-long guided tour with Hassan. He was very funny and enthusiastic. We fully enjoyed Morocco and all the sights and wonders that it provides. Our guided tour was professional and very enjoyable. Shopping in the Souks (market) was an amazing experience. We capped off our trip with a hot air balloon ride in Marrakech, it was the best experience of our lifetime! Thank you DesertTrips family for making this an amazing and memorable vacation. I honestly can't say enough good things about our trip! I highly recommend working with this team if you're planning a trip to Morocco!!!
