Run-down and poorly maintained. Lobby full of flies. Staff have no manners - will leave you hanging while they run off and do something completely unrelated. We only stayed here because our intended hotel messed up our group's booking and had to move us at the last minute. Otherwise I would certainly NOT stay here intentionally.
The location of the hotel for me was perfect, it's only a 5-10 minute walk to the local market. It's a 30 minute walk to the famous mosque from the hotel. The room I had was large and comfortable with an amazing bed. However there were unfortunately some downsides too; the walls are very thin (i could hear my neighbors phone conversation), after a shower the room got wet (major condensation on the windows), the window cant open due to safety but this means there's no fresh airflow in the room, the bathroom had a fairly high platform that you could only reach through the bathtub to get to the towels (the combination of wet tub + high platform can be dangerous). The breakfast buffet was good, there was a fairly large amount of foods to choose from. I am a vegetarian and had a great breakfast to start off my day with. Dinner was nothing special. Service was good.
Very good noise resistance despite the busy avenue. Small and cozy was our room at 3rd floor, quite decadently looking. Bathroom is fine, but linen and walls need some refreshments. Good choice for budget traveling. And yes! location is the best - just a few walks from the United Nations Square
Horrible sums it up best. The first room we were provided upon check - in was filthy. Out pillows were dusty, they air was dusty. In the room we saw two cockroaches. Our bathroom had a water leak. The room had no fridge and I could go on. When I brought the issue up with the receptionist at the time, she kindly moved us to another room which was no better. I'm not sure of the hotels policy on smoking but throughout the hotel it smelt of cigarettes, people next to our room were smoking through out the night which went through the inter connecting doors into room. I now have a sore throat after inhaling all those fumes. The location of the hotel isn't ok as you are close to the city center but restaurants of good quality are limited.
DO NOT STAY HERE. The room was filthy, no cover on the comforter, it was stained!, there was hair all over the floor, the walls were stained and the hallway carpet was so so dirty. The WiFi doesn’t work and the room smelt like smoke. We left after booking another hotel and the receptionist didn’t even inquire as to why we were leaving. We asked to speak to a manager and were told that he wasn’t there and that she didn’t know if he would give us a refund. The bellhop was really nice but overall it was terrible.
