Hotel Les Saisons

The building is quite old and the décor definitely feels dated. In room 511 unfortunately, the bed linen, doona cover, pillow slips, and towels all had an unpleasant smell, and the doona cover had discoloured from white to a yellow tinge. The sheer curtains also had holes in them and could really use a clean. After the room had been closed up during the day, it started to smell like cigarette smoke, which wasn’t great, especially as I’m asthmatic. The shower head needs replacing — the water shoots out in all directions instead of down — and the hair dryer didn’t work at all, which was disappointing. The air conditioner also struggled to keep the room cool. After being out all day, the room was really hot and stuffy, even with the window open. On the positive side, the cleaning staff were lovely. They came in every day to mop, tidy, and restock toilet paper and toiletries, which I really appreciated. However, I didn’t receive clean towels each day. Overall, the stay was okay, but the room definitely needs some maintenance and attention to cleanliness. The concierge was very helpful and friendly, which made a big difference during my stay. Close to most attractions.
