What a lovely stay, from the moment we are arrived at reception with Richard we were offered an early check in and room upgrade. All staff have been so friendly. The room was spotless and so luxurious. Dinner and drinks in the bar were lovely and again staff so attentive. The spa was spotless, treatment rooms were so warm and cosy and I had a massage with Anya and honestly one of the nicest massages I’ve ever had, didn’t want it to end. Thank you!
We stayed here as a surprise for my birthday. The staff were lovely and attentive and really made me feel special. As a mum who does nothing for herself it made me feel very special! The hydrotherapy pool was amazing, never felt so relaxed. Shout out to Jake who upgraded our room for an even more special birthday. Will definitely stay again.
Perfect location for exploring Cardiff. Principality Stadium next door and the Castle a few minutes walk. Rooms were fantastic and felt luxurious. Lobby area looked amazing and reception staff were wonderful. Breakfast with locally sourced sausages and bacon was delicious and the service outstanding. Spa experience was great, pool with super views. Very relaxing. The real gem for me was the massage. This was genuinely the best massage I’ve ever received. The pressure was outstanding, firm, consistent, and exactly what a constant aching in my traps needed. Every bit of tension was worked out with real skill and at the end, I felt completely loose and tension‑free. The products used smelled amazing and felt great on the skin, adding to the overall sense of calm. I walked out feeling like a new person. Thank you Marcus. A brilliant experience all round, very professional and a relaxing break.

I wanted to share a review of the wonderful experience I had during my stay Thursday night. As someone who works in hospitality, I’d say I’m probably fussier than most and Parkgate certainly had a strong reputation to live up to - but it absolutely delivered. Every member of staff I encountered was polite, friendly, approachable, and incredibly attentive. From the doorman to reception, the waiting staff in The Sorting Room and cocktail bar, as well as room service and the spa team - everyone contributed to making my stay so enjoyable. I only wish I could thank each of them personally and I hope this review is passed on. I did try to take note of a few names. There was a lovely lady on reception at the spa who arranged my booking, and Lucy, my therapist, who was exceptional. She was warm, professional, and attentive throughout - regularly checking in to ensure I was comfortable. It was genuinely one of the most relaxing massages I’ve ever had. At afternoon tea Nicola and Massimiliano (I think) in the restaurant couldn’t have been more accommodating, it was both filling and beautifully presented. While the room itself was lovely, it was truly the staff and overall experience that made my stay so memorable. I’ll absolutely be recommending the Parkgate and look forward to returning. Thank you again to the entire team.
