A quick stay and booked an executive king room with view of Castle. Really good location and the pool and leisure suite are relaxing which is perfect for a holiday. Ideally I’d prefer for this type of hotel to offer service rather than buffet for breakfast. I stayed in a 3 star pub a few weeks back and got an ordered breakfast with an oat milk latte. Seems amazing that the Hilton are offering the same but higher quality option as the premier inn. Also we turned up at the bar at just after 10pm and it took 10 mins to order 2 green teas. No food options at that time but they could do with some more snack options. In the executive lounge there were no vegetarian sandwiches. Yep 3 options but all meat. There were veggie samosas which were good but really disappointing. It is definitely 4 star and the room was quiet with a great view but definitely not 5 star.

I had a really enjoyable stay at the Hilton Cardiff and would recommend it, particularly if you're looking for a centrally located hotel. The location is excellent. It's easy to reach from Queen Street train station, and the main train station is also within walking distance. Being so centrally located made it very convenient for exploring Cardiff. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and my room was really well appointed. I particularly appreciated having both a kettle and a full bathtub as well as a separate shower stall (not all rooms). The blackout curtains were also excellent and made it easy to get a good night's sleep. There was some street noise outside the hotel, and the hotel itself was quite noisy on Saturday night. Not an issue for hotel specifically, just an FYI for travelers who may be sensitive to noise. During my stay, one of the elevators was having problems, leaving only one elevator operating for the hotel. I tried to use the stairs whenever possible, although finding them wasn't particularly intuitive. The stairwell was also quite a distance from the lobby and required walking through the conference area. It wasn't a major problem, but it did make navigating the hotel a little more challenging. Despite those minor issues, I really enjoyed my stay.
Hotel itself is great. But breakfast buffet could use more variety. If you are only staying 2-3 days it's fine...but I wouldn't opt in for it at €20pp, unless you want the exact same items every day: fried or scrambled eggs, bacon and pork sausage, hash browns and tomatoes. No omelet station, no pancakes, etc. No oatmeal-just cold cereals. Toast & pastries, meat/cheese and fruit w/yogurt. Decent amount of items, but absolutely no variation from day to day.
It is my second time here and the perfect choice when traveling to Cardiff. Had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Cardiff! The location is simply excellent, right in the heart of the city with easy access to everything. As expected from the Hilton chain, the room was comfortable, clean, and up to high standards. A big highlight of the stay was the wellness area — both the pool and the gym are fantastic, well-maintained, and great for relaxing or keeping up with your workout routine. The service was friendly and professional throughout. Highly recommend!
We stayed at the Hilton Cardiff for our anniversary and it was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. Beautiful room with thoughtful touches of bubbles and cakes made it feel really special straight away. The VIP lounge was outstanding, and every member of staff, from reception to bar to dinner and breakfast, delivered genuinely excellent service. Perfect location too, just moments from Cardiff Castle. A truly memorable stay. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
