Was great but take note, the blue grotto entry is a separate boat trip (included in the price). The tour does not stop there.
Due to severe warning the Blue Groto was closed, we made a request 24 hrs prior for Change of date but they were reluctant and they responded very late for change of date after repeated request .. we did not take the tour and did not get refund as requested
The guy who captained the boat was amazing and maneuvered between rocks, into grottos, and got us into nooks that you can't believe. The crew was attentive, polite and very helpful. The guide was very informative, telling us about everything we passed by. This was an unforgettable experience! Do not miss.
We were not told that we had to find our own way to the boat tour place which cost us another 170euros which in turn made us miss going to the blue grotto because of time to catch the ferry back to sorrento. We were told that the boat would wait while we did the grotto but did explain the we had to go back to port and wait to catch a boat back to the blue grotto which could take 2 hours so we couldn’t do it. My husband only wanted to do that and to come so close and not because a lack of communication in your behalf made for an aweful time. We are from Idaho. The boat tour itself was fine.
it was a nice comfortable tour. beautiful view of capri and positano. the tour to blue grotto is optional. when we did this boat tour, the entrance to the blue grotto was a 2 1/2 hr line wait. if you want to visit the blue grotto, i recommend starting your tour early.
The tour was very fun as we had our teenage grandkids with us. The young crew played music and they had a chance to swim as the grotto was closed. Not much of a narrative but the boys were very happy with their experience.
Beutiful but! Very hot, busy crowded, no shaded areas to have a rest, long lines for funiculure and busses, little crowded busses without area
I can't rate the experience as I never got confirmation that it was happening, so I didn't go. Several messages sent, none answered
This place is amazing and the hospitality is Five stars our room had the best view and place was beautiful Breakfast and coffee were also great and good quality food! The fruit was our favorite
It was a fun trip, boat was full, fabulous watching how it all worked out. It was very hot, the staff handled the people well, especially the idiot complaining about everything.
The ticket office staff were super rude/ couldn’t find my booking telling me to go elsewhere. They were irritated. The staff on the boat were nice. There was no swim stop as stated there would be
The cliffs around Capri where beautiful. Almost didn't realize we paced the blue grotto as they didn't get close to the grotto. Said it was to busy.
We especially enjoyed the 9.15am boat tour as not crowded with Capri day trippers. Voucher exchange at Laser office window was smooth and tour boat was only a few steps away. Boat captain pointed out key points of interest and expertly steered boat close into several cave features to allow clear view of shallow water corals. Sea was calm enough to steer boat through the famous pinnacle rock arch, allowing couples to seal their lifelong commitment with a kiss! Unfortunately, no chance to get close to Blue Grotto due to 2 hour wait (estimated based on large number of boats already waiting there).
Grotto Azzurro not included in the boat trip. When you are in the vicinity the boat people do their best to discourage you from visiting the grotto (the waiting time is *4 hours* - it was a bit more than 1 hour - the heat will be unsustainable, difficult for children etc etc). The trip finishes where it started and only if you insist you will be later put on a different boat that goes to the Grotto. Grotto is the most touristic thing ever seen, the water has a nice blue shade but you will be in there for 2 min cruising around with many other people at the same time while the sailor serenades you. Just cringe…
This is a nice tour especially for the money. I would give it 5 stars but I feel like when I was in line to show my ticket there were other people buying tickets. That defeats the purpose of buying a ticket in advance. But, the line went quick so it's all good.
Blue Grotto was the only experience on the ride, we did nothing else ! Just back and forth from marina to Grotto.
Staff was amazing and very informative. The tour was beautiful. I am not a shopper so Capri was not the highlight for me. The tour itself was and it was amazing.
We were very pleased with our experience. Tour guide was funny and great, at times microphone was a bit difficult to understand…but we got the gist. Boat was comfortable, easy to find. Not too crowded, could move about comfortably to get a photo. Great way to see the island. Line too long for blue grotto (25 boats filled w people waiting despite that it was only 10:15 or so!!!) we got up close to the green grotto though which was special. Very much enjoyed and would recommend.
Boat tour was amazing which is giving it the 3 stars. The guide on the boat give us a few bits of information whilst going around the island. So why two stars missing? This doesn’t give priority or avoiding queues. We still had to queue in the heat for 45 minutes to get the tickets. If we could have just went to the departure point with our ticket this would have been much easier. I don’t get why you need to show your ticket to get another ticket??
It was great weather. We swam around the whole island. The boat captain and guide were very helpful. I recommend it to everyone!
Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the blue grotto. The “English” speaking guide could be barely understood, let alone heard. Missed everything he said due to poor audio speaker and broken English. Didn’t even stop for 5 mins, just told us the wait time was too long for the Blue Grotto.
We booked 2 hrs private boat tour from Blue Sight Capri Boat Tour. Great experience, thanks to our guide and boat captain Gianmarco. He is a local capri guy with a lot of experience and know every detail of the good spot. He also recommended us a very good seafood restaurant: Lo Smeraldo located just in front of main harbout of capri
Go to the further pier 23, booking is made with a sub operator. You’ll need to pick up tickets at the collection point. Tour is on a bigger boat so can be crowded with lots of people. The blue grotto wasn’t open so be aware when booking you may not get in. There are multiple times available. Do early or later when there aren’t as many people. Do not do this if you get seasick. The seas are chopping and you’ll be smelling fumes
Tony and Yannis are the best tour guides you could ask for! Extremely knowledgeable and fun! Also your safety is #1 and these guys know how to watch your for you. If you need a full day of fun with incredible sight seeing, I highly recommend you doing this tour!
Very beautiful and worth it for the cheap price! Very kind and helpful employees. Only issue is on here it says they start tours at 8 am, which is not true. They start at 9-9:15ish. Other than that it was a lovely experience.
Nice tour around the island, didnt get to see Blue Grotto cause of bad waves, but you only pay the extra fee if its open so we didnt lose money.
The boat tour was great and tour company workers were really helpful in helping us find the correct dock number. Our tour was scheduled for 12 but they gave us the option of taking earlier tour. Tour guide was a amazing and funny. Only bad part was finding the correct bus to take us back from anacapri. Buses did not want t take us back (claimed they were private even tho it was the same line) and we had to find random bus to take us back to the port.
We went to Capri for a day trip. As soon as we got off the ferry we booked our tickets for the tour ( blue grotto was not an option as it was raining ). The tour was very nice, the captain explained everything and was fun! It was a nice way to see evering on the island! I would go again just to visit the blue grotto!
Blue grotto was beautiful and worth the visit. We enjoyed the boat ride around the island afterwards.
Amazing experience. Boat tour is an hour around the island, if you want to go to the blue grotto you have to change boats because not everyone wants to wait. They said 40 minute wait originally but when we came back around lunchtime it was a lot faster and we waited less than 15 minutes. Regardless the blue grotto is absolutely worth it.
had a great time even though we didn't get to see the Blue Grotto, seas were very rough. Boat leaves right from harbor
Too many boats around and too many tourists... all adds up to a long wait and an endless queue to the grotto - for an expensive and very short experience if it. Capri in general makes you feel as if every local only lived to take the most advantage of any visitor. A sad experience of global tourism. Please abstain.
Great trip. Roberta & Nino were excellent. Lovely boat, Blue Grotto was nice but rather expensive. Capri was very nice & cable chair lift was fun. Lovely swim in the sea & visit to other caves. All in all, a great trip.
Great day with Yuri!. Travelled with wife and two kids 12 and 9. Great way to visit on your own schedule swing as it's a private tour.
Hello! Me and my girlfriend visited Italy at the end of April and took this trip on my birthday in the first week of May. She booked our Capri trip with the company “You Know”. In short the trip was absolutely fantastic, we where well catered for with snacks and drinks throughout. We where looked after by a fabulous pair on board the boat who provided us a thorough and very enjoyable time. The crew was comprised of Mariano, and Peppe. Mariano was our guide, and our friend, who taught us lots about the coast of sorrento and capri. He also drove the boat a little but mainly served drinks and snacks - whilst being entertaining. Our skipper (boat driver) Peppe was fun, and encouraging, and always had something to add. They both worked as a team to give us the best experience on the water and a fantastic trip which will be one to remember. If they read this I’d like to thank them and highly encourage anyone to board their boat. The company provided transfer from our hotel to the boat, and from the boat to our hotel. It was fast and easy and completely taken care of. Mariano and Peppe gave us plenty of limoncello and kept us hydrated and well fed. We where supplied with sandwiches for lunch which helped us mitigate the high expense of the capri restaurants. Mariano and Peppe took us to several beautiful coastal points of interest and stopped to let us look and experience with Peppe showing off his impressive boat driving skills. The blue grotto was definitely a sight to see and Mariano gave us some good advice here! After having a swim we where provided with another light snack of fresh fruit and it was great fully accepted. They helped us in every way possible and where a joy to be around with plenty of knowledge of what to do and what not to do whilst in capri to enjoy it to the fullest. We felt that we had enough “free time” to see what we wanted (within constraints of travel time). The visit to annacapri was beautiful and thankfully our faithful trip guides booked us private busses. We had to pay for the tickets but they where waiting to pick us up as soon as we docked so no waiting around! We wish them the very best for the future and are grateful for their time.
Do not book online - we paid 4euro more per person than the cost if you book when on the island. The main reason we wanted to do the tour was for the blue grotto - when we got there we were simply told we couldn't go in as high tide - my daughter was not happy!!! They really should say before you leave as we would not have taken the tour if we had know this.
Highly recommended! The whole experience was nice! The guide was funny and engaged with the tourist 😂
This boat tour exceeded everything we expected ! We had beautiful weather, the water was so clear blue that we could see jelly fish near the side of the boat !
Because of high tide we could not enter any of the grotto's. Very disappointing 😥 there were bits of fun in the boat ride. And I guess when all is said and done it was pleasant and quite beautiful.
we waited to get our tickets on the Island which we got for 15 euro normally 18. The tour around the island was great but the Blue Grotto wasn't so good, first of all it cost you 14 euro pp to get in, the only way in is from small row boats that hold 4 people and a guide that rows you in. It is very small once you get in and yes the water is blue but its a small circle the boats docin the cave and then your done. What I did not like is when you get on the row boat the guide immediately says " I'm gonna take you through, special for you I will sing you a song for only 10 euro pp tip for me". I thought this was very unprofessional, don't get me wrong we always tip but please don't tell me what you expect for a tip before we even went in the cave. When you get in the row boat they paddle you to another boat where you pay the entrance fee, there were 2 of us so it was 28 euro, they gave us the change and my wife told the guide to keep that and he refused to take it insisting on 10 euor again before we even got in the cave. We ended up tipping him 5 euro at the end but if we were not on a row boat i would have not tipped him at all. Just a heads up its a small row boat and you have ti sit on the floor of it and duck very low when entering the cave. Like I said the tour around the island was better than going in the cave, what a racket and unprofessional guides trying to make money on the tourists. Also it was slow season and we waited about an hour to get in. Who ever runs this should really look into this cause everyone on our boat that went in all came back and complained about the same thing the guides telling you what they want for a tip, several did not tip at all because of them telling you what they wanted so they left them nothing. We were a group of 8.
Actually, we did not prebook this. Instead, we went to the docks in Naples and bought a round trip ticket on a hydrofoil for the next departing boat. Once in Capri, we walked to the nearby ticket office and hopped a boat for a tour around Capri. The Blue Grotto had a 2 hr wait and our boat decided to skip it. Instead, our captain took the time to take us inside several other caves where the water was just as beautiful. We were happy with our day trip from Naples and saved money.
Words cannot describe the beauty of the Isle of Capri and our tour guide made sure we saw all of the lovely sites. Just wish the famous Grotto Azure was open.
The views were spectacular. There was to be an English translation but is was in Spanish The tickets at the dock were cheaper at €18 than what I paid in advance $25. We arrived at the pier at 1 o’clock and could not get the blue Grotto tickets. The last trip had just left. Other companies were offering blue grotto rides. The Lazer office had put a cutoff on the last ride out. We had already committed in advance by buying our ticket online for the ride around the island tour with option of the blue grotto which was not available. I Suggest Buy your tickets at the dock and go before noon. There are plenty of rides! Keep in mind - The ferries take 1 1/2 from the main land to get to the island
I had a great experience, the views, the hosts the Tour was all fantastic!! Only thing that annoyed me was that the tide was too high so we couldn't go through the blue grotto. But it was still worth it
Our guide was very sweet, but no English. If not for an Italian speaker in our group, we would not have learned anything. Otherwise, did the Blue Grotto, worth it if you have never seen it, and got to swim with the harmless gold jellyfish. Wonderful.
Was well worth it, very glad, I went on this tour. Loved the captain, very friendly and great sense of humor. Would go on this tour again. Totally recommend it.
We did the Capri boat trip around the island and Blue Grotto. It was well priced at 10 Euros and 4 Euros if you went into the Blue Grotto. To go into the Blue Grotto was such a good experience, little paddle boats come collect you from big boat, take you to a floating ticket boat where you buy your ticket, and then you go into the Blue Grotto, all the bloat rowers serenaded us, beautiful, we could swim if we wanted, which we did, wonderful experience.
The Bue Grotto was closed on the day we visited due to high water. We opted for a boat tour which was great to see around the permiter of Capri. If we did it again, we would opt to be able to rent a boat and take a swim near the blue grotto
I truly enjoyed the boat tour. The guide was entertaining. We went on a very busy day so there was a lot of waiting around. The Blue Grotto has an insane wait, so after an hour of waiting the captain took us back to shore and had us come with a boat of people that actually wanted to see the Blue Grotto and didn’t mind the wait. The Blue Grotto is not part of your fee so bring cash. The guys on the little boats taking you to the the Blue Grotto were hit and miss. Our guy didn’t say one word or acknowledged us but the boat ahead of us sang and was so entertaining, ah well.
