Traditional Turkish Bath Experience In Cappadocia

My wife's experience was under par, there were children screaming and running all over the place. When she's trying to have a relaxed experience.

The tour booked by Fatima was done perfectly. She was great about explaining everything and was easy to reach. The bath was 3 minutes from my hotel and they weee very accommodating. I lucked out because I only saw 4 other people. The experience was a great body scrub,, soap up and rinse, sauna, pool, shower, steam room and I purchased an add on massage for $18 once I was there. It was a perfect thing to do after a long day of travel. Bring shampoo and your swimsuit and a brush! Loved it.

This review is very miss leading. The reviews are very good but the photos are of Elis hammam which I went to & it was very poor quality, place falling apart average & expensive too. I would not recommend Elis Turkish bath. The pool is in the women’s & jacuzzi in the men’s. Couples can’t go in together.

Amazing, unique experience. Full recommended. You need to go if you stay in Cappadocia. I took the conventional bath plus a extra massage and it was very good decision.

We had a wonderful time. Everyone was so caring and accommodating. The scrub was amazing and the pool was the perfect temperature. We finished with a 30 minute massage that was so relaxing. I highly recommend Elis Hamam!

Relaxing and fun experience. The bath was really good and the massage was even better. Our attendants were lovely (one of the others seemed very dour which would have spoilt it somewhat)

Our visit to Elis Hamam was enjoyable and something I’ve never experienced. Would recommend if you are in Goreme as a must do.

It was a Good experience, the place is really authentic, needs a little mantennience but foam massage was great!!

Waste of money. It is only "15 minutes" soap massage, in reality, it lasted 10 minutes. The whole experience was 50 minutes not an hour and half. Even after paying for extra 30 minutes oil massage, it was only 20 minutes. The scrup was nothing, i scrup more in the shower than what they did

If you are in Goreme and you look for a pit hamam stop. Choose Elis Hamam. Very easy and fast to book. 50 euros for sauna, steam, hamam and jacuzzi. Personnel was very nice.

We upgraded the package with an optional full massage. An excellent decision! Suggest you do the same.

What an amazing experience! We bought the tour and added on the massage when we got there - it was affordable and definitely worth it! We loved it and it was a true Turkish experience. A word of advice, take your time doing each step and don't rush, the hosts will come and fetch you when each step is over.

I scheduled my Turkish Bath at 5pm after a day tour and it was a wonderful way to end the day. Felt all the sweat and tension melt away and I went to bed early that night which I needed to do for the early morning dawn balloon tour the next day. Located in downtown Goreme, it was close walking distance and very peaceful/clean inside. It would be nice if there was an English explanation for what to bring and what to expect in advance. The ladies were very kind and lovely but it was a bit confusing at times. Luckily I arrived at the same time as another family who helped translate/explain things for me and ultimately I had a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

A novelty for me and my travel companion and an interesting experience for sure…! We didn’t know what to expect, but thankfully we were guided through every step: from sauna and steam room to then relaxing in the hamam while being covered in what felt like blankets made out of bubbles! We decided to add on the extra massage at the end and it was the right decision - all in all a relaxing (albeit somewhat quirky!) experience that perfectly complemented an action-packed itinerary in Cappadocia. Just make sure you and your friend feel comfy with one another cos near nakedness is guaranteed!

The baths were amazing and the staff were super friendly and helpful! Company who organised were very easy to contact and gave us clear instructions! Super friendly and would definitely recommend!

The place is nice from the outside but could be better maintained inside. The day we went there were children playing and screaming in the pool which was not relaxing because the noise carried into other parts. The additional massage was nice and not too expensive.

Nice authentic atmosphere. If you are looking for a way to relax after visiting all the valleys in Cappadocia it is definitely a good place to check out.

The bubble peeling massage 💆 . Even tho it was shorter then I wished it was my favorite part of the Turkish Bath.

It was wonderful and relaxing, I’m so glad I went. Was perfect after hiking. Good value for money. The staff were very respectful and I felt safe being a solo traveller. Easy to organise in advance of coming and was nice that someone checked on me afterward. Highly recommended!!! A must do experience!

It was such a relaxing experience. The staff really pampers you and you’ll feel a marvelous glow afterwards. It’s a classic part of the Turkish experience and I would highly recommend this Hamam!

I have no prior hamam experience to compare. I enjoyed the journey from sauna to shower, cool pool, shower, steam room, body scrub, bubble massage, shower, regular massage. Was bummed the salt room was not functioning. Very helpful staff. It's not a typical 5 star spa, neither were my expectations. I appreciate having the opportunity to attach a Turkish bath while here. I would recommend do this at the end of your day to relax before bed. I do agree with a prior comment, do NOT have them wash your hair,

I really enjoyed the Turkish Bath and would say this is a must-do when in Cappadocia! The Elis Hamam does an amazing job with each aspect of the experience and makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. I will 100% be doing it again!

Lovely facilities, good idea women only sector, I enjoyed the whole experience, the women who scrubbed and did pillow soap massage was excellent. However the 2 women who did our 1hr Swedish massage (paid extra) chatted in Turkish to each other the whole way through it, which was annoying and rude 🤨

My wife and I went to the baths today. It was certainly an experience if nothing else! I wouldn’t really be into massages etc and I only went to keep the wife happy. We were split up on entry and I was given what can only be described as a sponge bath from a Turkish man. As weird as it may sound, I did enjoy it! I was then introduced to another fella who essentially beat the bajaysus out of me in the form of a massage. I must say I felt great after it and would certainly recommend it. My wife also had a great experience. Thanks to Murat for organising. Great lad!

Fantastic! Really enjoyed the Turkish bath. The employees were very polite, professional and great at massages. The steam room and sauna is great. Also Murat was very helpful with organising the event - went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time.

We booked this last minute on the day of the Turkish bath. The last time I did a Turkish bath was when I was 18, over 10 years ago and that was at a hotel I was staying at and the foaming massage was there but everything else wasn't, so it wasnt my first time but I went with my partner and it was his first time. Females and males are seperate. They tell you not to wear anything underneath. So I went completely stark naked, whereas most people would wear bikinis. The females were downstairs and apart from telling you that they don't tell you much else. I was wondering around until a member of staff saw me and took me to my locker which had a towel and some slippers. Then get taken to the sauna, after the steam room and then the foam massage. Finished off with a shower and in a cold pool. Then you're taken to the relaxation room and you just sit by the lounge chairs. If you get a massage you get called. Otherwise you're just sat there and no one says anything to you.. But good experience. My partner enjoyed it except they had no steam room or pool and had a jacuzzi. Also bonus it was literally a few minutes walk from where we was staying 😄

Overall a great experience, however, I attended this with a friend and her bath massage was nearly double in length of time than mine was. It didn’t ruin the visit, but we definitely had different experiences. Hopefully more consistency between experiences next time, but would do this again!

Everything was good. But we were two women and two men. Men had more services than women. The had salt bath and a jacuzzi and women had a pool with cold water. This was the only bad part. In general, it was good and relaxing

A fantastic experience at Elis Hamman today. My mum and I attended for our first time at w Turkish Bath. The Peeling and Soap massage was excellent with lots of care and consideration. We ended our wonderful experience by booking an aromatherapy massage leaving both us of relaxed and rejuvenated!

I’ve never tried a Turkish Bath before and was skeptical at first. I managed to convince my wife to try it and I’m glad we did. This was a short walk from our hotel so it wasn’t hard to get into if you are staying in Goreme cave hotels. After booking online, Marat immediately confirmed the arrangements and explained to us what we should expect. He also made sure to provide directions. We were warmly greeted when we came. Men and Women go to separate rooms. We were provided towels to cover ourselves after undressing , slippers and individual locker room for belongings. We were then hoisted to a room where we went to hot sauna first, a salt bath room and steam bath before we were brought to the actual bath room. There, I was helped by my hammam with bathing, scrubbing and foam massage for about 25 mins. After rinsing, I was given time to soak in a hot tub, another salt bath before finally showering and putting back clothes. The body scrub was the best and I enjoyed the soap massage as well. This is definitely one of the highlights of our Turkey vacation that I suggest every visitor should try.
