Very great and excellent experience. Haroon, I believe was one of our pilots that flew the balloon was great.

Fantastic tour. Our driver Haroon arrived on time. Well organised team. A must do when you are in Cappadocia.

My wife and I travelled from Canada to Cappadocia, and this balloon flight was supposed to be a highlight of our trip. I booked the “Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Flight Over Göreme & Fairy Chimneys,” operated by **Tourmania**, for September 30, 2026, weeks in advance. I paid approximately CA$650, far above the normal price, because I wanted the best possible experience. Instead, Tourmania cancelled the day before and left us scrambling. On September 29, they told us our allocated balloon had been taken out of service following a technical check. I respect the need to put safety first. My anger is directed at Tourmania’s handling of the cancellation and their appalling customer service afterwards. They said they could not secure an alternative, despite confirming that other flights were still operating. They offered a refund, could not accommodate us, and then stopped responding to my messages when we needed help most. We eventually arranged a replacement balloon tour ourselves, but because it was so last minute, we ended up paying TWICE the amount of our original booking. What should have been an unforgettable morning became a stressful scramble with an enormous additional expense. A refund does not cover that extra cost or undo the stress and wasted time. We booked weeks ahead and paid a premium. Tourmania’s response when things went wrong was a cancellation notice followed by unanswered messages. This was a disgraceful way to treat customers. An apology means very little when there is no follow through and customers are left to rescue their own plans. I would never book with Tourmania again. Based on our experience, I strongly advise anyone planning this once in a lifetime trip to choose another provider.

Very disappointing experience - book direct with the balloon company. I would strongly recommend booking a balloon flight directly with the balloon operator rather than through a third-party company. Our balloon flight was cancelled the afternoon before the scheduled flight, with very little notice. This was particularly frustrating because balloon flights had only operated once in the previous three days, meaning alternative flights were in high demand, very, very expensive and there were very limited options available to us. We were told that two of the three baskets had safety concerns. While safety must obviously come first, we were left questioning why these issues had not been addressed during the previous two days when flights were not operating. When we asked for the name of the actual balloon flight company so that we could independently confirm the information we had been given, this was refused. That lack of transparency was particularly concerning. Overall, the experience left us feeling that booking through a third party put us at a disadvantage when things went wrong. We would strongly suggest contacting and booking directly with the balloon operator, so you know exactly who you are dealing with and can communicate directly with the company responsible for the flight. Very disappointing and not an experience we would repeat.

An amazing trip - best thing we’ve ever done in our lives! Haroon was excellent in communications. The flight was cancelled two days in a row (due to wind conditions) but we managed to do it on the third day and it was well worth the wait! A true bucket list item ticked! 🥳🎉

Haroon could not have been more helpful with our requests during our stay. Especially, he helped us get tickets for wonderful hot air balloon ride during the Balloon Festival. It was the most magical experience, my teenage son and I absolutely loved it. Peaceful and exhilarating at the same time. I could not recommend Sunset Cave / Owl Cave Hotel and Haroon and the team to help you with your Cappadocia stay!

Booked sunrise tour in advance and boy was it worth it, thanks Haroon for organisation and comms. This is simply one of those experiences that will live with us forever. From beginning to end, so many different things to take in - the hum of the fans, watching shapes develop in the dark, the light show as the flames lit up the balloons, and then the trip itself. Setting off in low light and witnessing the other balloons lifting off and soaring was breathtaking. We soared up over a plateau to witness a sight to behold as dozens of balloons were taking shape all across the area, which really was one if those once in a lifetime moments. Can't describe the feeling as you soar above the area in almost complete silence, witnessing the sun coming up over the horizon in one of the most serene events we've ever witnessed. Breathtaking and beautiful trip.

Life changing experience! A must when you visit Cappadocia! It will take a breath away. You will regret it if you don’t.

The hot air balloon flight was excellent. Great communication by Haroon who ensured everything was organised, hotel pick up/drop off made it very easy. The Anatolian flight crew were excellent, so skilled. A fantastic morning and exhilarating experience.

You can’t go to Cappadocia and not do the balloon flight. Our whole day was relatively painless—our car was on time and pickup was easy; we got to the balloon and took off on time (though the company had nothing to do with the ability to fly! That’s down to government regulations, so no one should hold that against the company); the views are breathtaking. Breakfast is small, and the champagne afterwards is a little perfunctory, but we weren’t paying for food and drinks—we were paying for the flight. And that was everything we could have wanted!

When you come to Cappadocia, you absolutely must do this balloon tour! It is incredibly exciting and amazing. Huge thanks to the Tourmania team for their outstanding coordination and support!

A wonderful experience - rising into the sky beneath an enormous and colourful balloon. Fascinating to see the skill of the Captain as we floated over and among the Fairy Chimneys along with many others. The hour we were treated to flew past and as we came down to land the Captain parked the basket full of passengers directly on the trailer ready to go home!

We had an amazing time on the hot air balloon. The view of the Capadocia mountain and valleys were absolutely breathtaking.

They picked us up at our hotel, even though it was not on the list of their pick up locations. The breakfast was ok, but the ride and our pilot was great and we enjoyed our experience very much.

Absolutely incredible. I had been looking forward to the balloon ride for quite some time and it did not disappoint. With perfect conditions, over 165 balloons went up, and it was a total spectacle!

This was a great experience. We took off at dawn with dozens of other baloons, it was a beautiful sight watching the sun rise over Kappadocia from the air. Highly recommended.

Reached out the previous day. Pick up was prompt and we thought we will miss the sunrise but our balloon took off just as the sun was rising making it perfect. Dropoff was prompt as well. Only con is we got stuck in the middle of a six person cabin which made the pictures a little hard to take. It would be nice if they would rotate the people on the edges around so the other 5 people on the balloon also get some pictures without people behind them / other hindrances. If you manage to get the spot at the corner (farthest from the center), then you will have amazing pictures.

Overall, it was a magic experience. Seamless pre-flight liaison as well as pickup and return to our hotel. Easy access to the balloon take-off site and simple take-off process. The landing was fine, excellent pilots and wonderful ground crew. The flight was everything we hoped it would be. Just a wonderful experience. Te flight itself was 47min (not 1 hour). It was very nice and the balloon pilot was very polite. On the contrary, the car driver that picked us up from the hotel was rude and spoke on the phone 5 times while he was driving through the curves and hills. It was very stressing.

This is an out of this world experience! From landing in Keyseri, we had WhatsApp communication about pick up times and what’s expected from the tour company, Tour Mania. They were fab! The balloon experience wA something else and the pilot and whole team were just brilliant! It’s an experience we’ll never forget! So easy to book with confidence through Viator. Used it in New York a few years ago and again this time in Turkey and it can’t be faulted. Brill!

The flight time scenery was spectacular but the cost was way too pricey for what they advertised. It was sold as a hot air air balloon flight with champagne breakfast. They cram about 15 to 20 people in the basket, 4 people per section. You don't have room to move or turn around. Breakfast was a bag, with a small box of warm juice, a dry croissant and pretzel sticks, which they hand out before the flight, then a glass of non alcoholic champagne at the end of the flight. Just a tourist trap gimmick. It was advertised as 3 hours, but was the full flight + "breakfast" was 1.5 hours. Definitely not worth the price! Look for cheaper alternatives.

The view was amazing and it was the best way to experience the beautiful area. We managed to take so many lovely pictures.

Truly enjoyed my first time on a Hot Air balloon. Loved the views and it is was very smooth. The pilot and the team work is fantastic. Loved the video the we purchased so that we can have this memory.

Great balloon ride! Very professional pilot, nailed the landing and explained exething she was doing along the way. Champagne was alcohol free, which was not advertised.
