We booked this experience on a whim. Literally last minute along with a coffee making workshop. It was so much fun and a bit therapeutic if you ask me. Let creativity take over and create your unique souvenir to bring back home. You design your own lamp . Glue the tiles yourself on a small lamp. There are 2 other sizes available for an additional charge . And the plugs are not US compatible but that can be changed back home so no biggie. After the lamps , we followed with a Turkish coffee and fortune telling workshop which was also fun. I recommend if you have time. We were able to do one right after the other. They also have a perfume making workshop which unfortunately we didn’t have time for. They offer these workshops in Antalya as well . In addition, they have a Kunefe making class in Antalya that is an absolute must. It has been by far my favorite experience. But don’t take my word for it. Go ahead and experience them yourself. You won’t regret it !

Itinerary
Perched on a rooftop with sweeping views of Cappadocia's iconic fairy chimneys, this hands-on workshop lets you design and build your very own mosaic lamp using colorful glass pieces — no experience needed, just pick your colors and let your creativity take over. Our standard lamp comes with a bulb included and is built in a modular design that splits into three pieces, so it's easy to pack and take home. And here's what makes it truly special: the metal fittings are finished with a paint formula used only at our workshop in all of Turkey, making your lamp far more resistant to heat, moisture, and scratches than anything else out there. In just 1.5 to 2 hours, you'll walk away with a genuine piece of handmade Turkish craftsmanship — and a view over the fairy chimneys you won't forget.

It was a lot of fun. Eren was a great instructor and even let us leave our lamp there while we did other activities in the area. Would highly recommend for anyone that likes arts and crafts
We thoroughly enjoyed our class with Bea, and the lamp was a great holiday keepsake with real value for money compared to what you might pay back home :) Note for anyone outside EU that the plug is EU type so will you need either a travel adaptor or to get a non-eu plug fitted instead afterwards.
Such a fun way to spend an afternoon before heading off on an overnight bus. Lamps pack down nicely for flying, can pay extra for a larger lamp if wanted, our instructor Eren was fantastic and friendly. Also such a range of colours to choose from (both beads and tiles), and beautiful lamps hanging from the sealing if in need of inspiration! Now we have two beautiful lamps in our own styles and colour choices, to remind us of our fun time in Cappadocia! Thank you!
We had such an amazing time at the Turkish Mosaic Lamp Workshop! Ece was a fantastic workshop leader—she explained and demonstrated the entire mosaic-making process so clearly, making it easy and approachable even if you aren't naturally artistic. Selecting the colorful glass pieces, designing the geometric patterns, and assembling our lamps was so creative, relaxing, and fun. Having such a unique, hand-crafted souvenir to bring home makes the experience even more special. I couldn't recommend this workshop (and Ece!) more!
I was met by the lovely Eren who welcomed us with orange tea and Turkish delight. He then showed us step by step how to make the lamps. I didn't think I would be able to do it but with his guidance I am so pleased with my unique lamp. The small lamp is included in the price and my husband did this lamp. I went for the medium lamp which was an extra 1000 turkish lira. There is also a large lamp that was 1200 turkish lira. You have a piece of paper with templates of tradition designs or you can do your own thing. Once you have done this its time to glue your pieces to the lamp. This was a lot easier than I thought. After that you made your mix of small beads and filled in all the gaps. Then Eren plugged in your lamp so it can be revealed in all its glory when it lit up. Both of our lamps came up great. It was a really fun morning and we now have a unique piece for our home. Thank you Eren for a lovely morning. I highly recommend this.
This experience was absolutely wonderful. We did it as a family. Just a great way to spend a few hours. Staff was kind and helpful. We’re all very happy with our lamps - much much better than buying one at a tourist shop!
Great activity. Eren was a great host definitely recommend it to any and everyone looking to do something traditional and creative
Our first mosaic lamp workshop and we absolutely loved it! Ece (AJ) was such a warm, bubbly instructor who made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. She patiently guided us through the templates, showed us how to apply the glue and helped us choose and mix our beads to create our designs. We were the only couple booked for our chosen date and time so the session felt very relaxed and personal, with no sense of being rushed. The location was beautiful too, overlooking the fairy chimneys and offering stunning sunset views. The free-flow Turkish tea and delicious Turkish delights were a lovely bonus! They also provided bubble wrap for our lamps, making it easy to bring them home safely. Our Cappadocia trip was made even more memorable not only by the hot air balloon ride but by this wonderful experience as well. Thank you, Ece 💖
I went to the mosaic lamp workshop with my wife and it was a unique experience. Eren and Gigi were really helpful and provided clear instructions every step of the way and now we have a souvenir to take back home
AJ/ece the host was awesome, she was helpful and friendly, she guided those who were making the lamps allowing us to complete freely on our own, she gave ideas etc when needed. I would recommend the experience and her as a guide.
This workshop was great fun! We loved making our lamps! It was a 2 hour experience, but it is as long as it takes you to do. There's no rush! We finished in an hour but some people from the previous class were still there after 2 hours. I would recommend it for anyone children or adults! Our instructor was called Elan or Aron I think 🤔 I feel bad I can't remember his name properly but he was great! Very knowledgeable, he even gave us a restaurant recommendation when we asked!
Today I joined a Turkish lamp workshop and absolutely loved it! ✨ The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, and there was no time pressure at all — we could enjoy the whole creative process at our own pace. A very special thank you to Ece 💖 She was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. She explained everything clearly, helped at every step, and made the experience easy and enjoyable even for beginners. She was so patient and supportive throughout the whole workshop. This was much more than just a class — it became one of my favorite memories from Cappadocia 🩵
We took this class from Ece at the Nomad Cave hotel in Cappadocia. It was so much fun. Ece was so kind and helpful. I'm so glad I took this class from her. It turned out beautiful.
We ended up booking due to our hot air balloon being cancelled. We were both surprised at how much we enjoyed the day. The experience was very relaxing and the light to take home after is well worth the trip. Can (John) was amazing and so helpful.
This was very fun and Ece was so helpful in getting the patterns figured out. I've always wanted to do a mosaic and so glad I was able to do it in Türkiye. Such a fun experience.
Wow what a great time this afternoon making Turkish 🇹🇷 mosaic lamps in the workshop. Can & Ege was very helpful in every way possible to make the experience special. Very well spoken English really helped us to make very impressive lamps. We enjoyed it so much we have booked the perfume workshop later this week 😊
Wow what an amazing afternoon with Can & Ege making Turkish mosaic lamps in the workshop. Excellent help in very well spoken engish & so friendly. We enjoyed it so much we are going back for the perfume workshop later this week 🙂
this is a really lovely experience and activity. Ece, our instructor, was so kind and helpful and made the whole process enjoyable regardless of one's artistic skills or background. highly recommend - it was a perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon.
Ece was a fun and knowledgeable instructor for our lamp-making experience. We were so happy with how our mosaic lamps turned out. We were two adults, but a family of three (child was 3 1/2 years old) were also participating and had a great time creating beautiful lamps. Perfect length of time. And a very special thing to do on a rainy, cold day.
The whole experience was fun and Ece was a great instructor. This was a great last min activity we did after out tour was canceled
The lamp workshop yesterday was such a wholesome and enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a truly memorable activity. Eren was excellent at explaining each step clearly and made the whole process easy to follow, even for beginners. He was very attentive, patient, and kind throughout the workshop, always making sure everyone felt comfortable and supported. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would gladly go again.
Amazing experience! Very friendly staff and felt comfortable, inspired, creative and got such a beautiful lamp as a result! Everyone can do it!
Eren was a fantastic host! I would highly recommend doing this with him.
Such a fantastic workshop with a beautiful view of the town. Special shoutout to Erem for being so friendly and helpful! I would definitely do this again!
I had an absolutely wonderful experience making a mosaic lamp, and I can’t recommend it enough! From start to finish, the entire workshop was relaxing, creative, and so much fun. Watching all the tiny pieces of glass come together into a beautiful design was incredibly satisfying. Our instructor, Eren, was truly amazing. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole process feel easy — even for beginners. He took the time to guide everyone individually, offered helpful tips, and created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that energy makes the experience even more special. Not only did I leave with a stunning handmade lamp that I’m so proud of, but I also left with great memories. If you’re considering this workshop — do it! It’s the perfect mix of art, culture, and hands-on creativity. I would absolutely do it again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and meaningful experience.
We decided to take this lamp making class because our hot air balloon was canceled due to bad weather. We arrived 15 minutes early but there was no one to greet us at the hotel lobby so we had to find the workshop location ourselves. To our surprise the class was held in a restaurant and bar area where customers kept coming in to dine. It didn't feel like a private or organized workshop space at all as I saw in the pictures. Our class was somewhat chaotic because our class tutor, Zehra was running a turkish coffee class next to us at the same time. We had to wait for the next step because the instructor was too busy. She was not attentive. Our class was somewhat chaotic because our instructor Zehra was running a Turkish coffee class right next to us at the same time. We constantly had to wait for the next step because she was far too busy multitasking with others. She was not attentive at all and it felt like she was just trying to get through the session as quickly as possible. They only displayed large lamps at first but then told us that making a large lamp costs an extra 800 TRY and they only accept cash. We just sticked to the small one because we had to travel another cities as well. During the class, Zehra said we can take our time but she wanted to connect everyone's lamps to the power at once so we felt rushed. She was also eager to clear the table for the next group which made me hurry even more because I didn't want to take up other people's time. On top of that no tea Turkish delight or water was provided at all. The packaging was just a paper bag with a bit of bubble wrap. It was a very distracting and disappointing environment for a creative workshop.
Was a nice experience. Zaheera was friendly loves her and how she teaches us on lamp making process. The staff was also friendly and it was easy to find from hotel
Nice experience! Relaxing and fun. There were many pattern options and examples. Easy something to do in cappadocia.
I had a wonderful experience here. The class was very hands-on and creative as we were able to choose our own designs, sketch them out on paper, and then bring them to life on the lamp by gluing the pieces and filling them in with colorful beads. It was really enjoyable to see the lamp come together step by step. The instructor was extremely friendly, patient, and helpful throughout the entire class. She took her time with everyone and made sure we felt comfortable, which made the experience even better. The class never felt rushed, which I really appreciated. We were able to relax, chat with other tourists, and truly enjoy the process. Overall, it was a fun, calming, and memorable experience. I would definitely recommend this workshop to anyone visiting Cappadocia and looking for a creative and enjoyable activity.
Zehra, our instructor, was great! She explained everything very well and we had all the freedom to do whatever we wanted. We are so happy with how it turned out! Her tips and tricks were very helpful.
We booked a mosaic lamp making workshop. It was for me, my wife and our 8 year old daughter. It was a fantastic experience. We learned so much from our expert, knowledgable and friendly instructress Zehra. It was so wonderful that we end up taking another (perfume making) workshop the next day. I’d recommend this to anyone. You might discover your hidden talent and your child might find a friend in Zehra :)
It was snowy and cold and many of the outdoors tours were cancelled and we accidentally stumbled upon this lamp making class. And are we so glad we did! This is a 10/10 experience. Our host Zehra was terrific! And patient with us new to this craft. We were the only ones in the class and we had her undivided attention. And she even provided materials so we could package it and take them back to the US without breaking them.
Very relaxing to do your own lamp, creating a pattern and learning how to put it on the lamp. Fun and good to wind down
Once I arrived, I was welcomes, seated and explained how it works. After that we were completely free to make our own design. Unfortunately, the instructor also gave another coffee making workshop and wasn't focused on us. Which was not always necessary, but would have been appreciated.
Thoroughly enjoyed my mosaic tea light making. Zehra was a lovely, patient teacher, who explained the process well and was extremely helpful
This is a great place to spend time if you like crafting..Tutors are there to help you along. I loved the workshop experience
This Turkish lamp art and craft workshop was really enjoyable for me and my partner. It was a great way for us to relax while having fun and taking home something that is useful and memorable of our time in cappodocia. Dennis was friendly, polite and welcoming. This is a great activity to do alone, with your friends or as a couple!
Great fun to do if you're looking for something different and arty to do while visiting Göreme. Denisz (hope I spelled right!) was very helpful and easy going/funny which helped make it a fun few hours ! Def recommend
Ahmet was wonderful! Great experience to learn technique but also get creative. So many colors and opportunities to upgrade
Superb organisation. Beautiful lamp. Fun. Creative. Traditional. Friendly Ahmed ran the workshop. Wry enjoyable for all ages.
This was great fun. Our kids (9 and 11) loved it so much they insisted on coming back a second time. Deniz is very welcoming and helpful, thank you.
For the Mosaic lamp workshop, I had high expectations, but it was not great. To begin with, proper guidance regarding colours and patterns was not given. Step by step guidance was not provided at all, and I felt like I was doing DIY art. Only materials were provided but they did not provide good guidance for the lamp making. Totally disappointed at booking this workshop.
Ahmet was an amazing host for this workshop! We loved our experience designing our lamps and the calm atmosphere. This is an incredible opportunity to try an artistic experience and a great way to break up a day of walking and touring! This is a must do!!
What a great experience! Instruction was easy, deciding on a pattern and colors was difficult (they were all so beautiful!). The finished product was amazing. If my husband and I can do it, anyone can! What a great souvenir from Turkey.
We stopped in to make some mosaic lamps! It was an awesome experience learning about the history of glass arts and making lamps of our own. Ahmet was a wonderful host and had some treats for us while making the lamps!
Don’t miss this beautiful adventure of workshop with amazing people especially Denise, she is the most professional and sweetheart! Me and my friend booked from Italy a workshop for make Turkish lamps and we’re totally in love with the experience so.. the same day we decided to have another incredible time together the next day for making our own perfume and at the end we created two instead one awesome personalized perfume to carry with us for the best memory of Cappadocia, of Turkey, of this trip and of those extraordinary people.
Such a fun workshop. Zehra the instructor was delightful and the outcome is so cute! I had such a great time. Great activity for families as well.
It was such a amazing experience learning the art and culture of the country, and the teacher Deniz was amazing!! She is the best!!!
It was absolutely wonderful! Zehra explained everything so well and introduced us to the beautiful world of mosaic lamps. It was a unique experience, and we will definitely recommend it to others!
