Hot Air Balloon Ride At Sunrise In Goreme, Cappadocia

Great experience! Communicated pickup time the night before and brought us to the takeoff site. Up in the air on time to see a perfect sunrise with the iconic balloon view. Incredibly smooth landing! I was anxious before the experience but felt safe and comfortable the whole time.

We had Tolga as our pilot inside the hot air balloon. He was phenomenal. He made us laugh. He maneuvered the balloon in such a precise manner that all inside didn’t miss a thing. It was one of the most beautiful experiences in my life. Thank you Tolga, you are awesome.

I always book my activities on Viator ahead of time so that I am well-prepared and have peace of mind. My trip is this April and I booked this hot air balloon ride back on December 1. Beginning of April, I get an email saying “ Reservation canceled Unfortunately, the tour operator for Hot Air Balloon Ride at Sunrise in Goreme, Cappadocia had to cancel your reservation.” I called Viator to see why and they said the operator did not provide a cancellation reasoning. My prediction is that operator was optimizing their profits because I booked for $594 and after operator cancelled, the tour was $907. I would have to rebook at an increase of $312!!! I advocated to Viator customer service to have it rebooked for me with the original price in the form of a $312 refund and it was done. Viator should not allow operators to cancel without valid reason other than greed. If you do decide to book with this operator, just know their tour runs late. Most balloons were already in the air for a long time and we only started going up after sunrise.

After three days of cancellations due to the weather, we finally got to experience an unforgettable hot air balloon flight in Cappadocia all thanks to Tourla! They offered the best rate, the smoothest flight, and everything was perfectly organized. The team was incredibly professional and friendly from start to finish. Recommended!

I would not recommend to book with Tourla for the hot air balloon. We had booked a deluxe flight and we're downgraded to Standard. We had been refunded with the difference (which I think is less than the difference on the time of the booking) but the experience with this agency is a disappointment. We had booked a month in advance in order to get a deluxe flight. I suggest to take some screenshots when you make the reservation online so you have proof just in case. This was such an inconvenient situation and we had no choice but just to accept to have the standard flight as there was no other flights later during our stay. Other than that I must say the baloon experience itself was fantastic and the Rainbow balloons team are very professional, I would just recommend to fix the unstitched fabric part of the balloon, it would look better and reassure people who are afraid of heights.

I booked my husband this tour since I couldn’t because we have a baby and babies are not allowed. I emailed them prior the tour and they were soooo nice enough to allow my baby and I to go and stay in the van. The driver was amazing and he took us to the goremi overlook while waiting. Finally, when my husband’s tour was done, he told me that it was one of the best days of his life and it was the highlight of our trip. Everyone was so helpful and kind. I may not be able to ride the balloon for my 40th birthday but I got to experience and see the balloons being inflated and the van ride with hot air balloons background and they were all marvelous. I can’t thank you enough! ❤️❤️❤️

An absolutely wonderful experience! Don’t miss your chance to do this while in Cappadocia and don’t be discouraged because of bad weather. Our first flight was cancelled due to weather but the tour operator was in contact with us the whole time over WhatsApp and got us scheduled for the next day. The trip was advertised as a sunrise tour, but we were the last balloon up and it was half an hour after sunrise. The balloon arrived at the starting point after all of us passengers had arrived. So the air and heat came in, it took almost 45 minutes. My husband and I were second in line to board the basket, but all Turkish speakers were prioritized so we were left in our respective cabins and could not communicate with each other. The trip was also supposed to last at least 50 minutes in the air, but it was only 35 minutes. So you don't get what is advertised.
