If you don't come with a group, you get pushed to the worst possible seats no matter how early you are. The group ticket holders are late and our show was delayed. Not only the seats were tight against each other, the space was also small, so definitely not recommended for claustrophobia issues.

Mystic experience rather than usual touristic show. The atmosphere brought us into a parallel world!!!
There was a combination of folk dancers and a meal. The food wasn’t particularly good - but that was okay. The dancers were good, and that was fun. But the dancers were pushy for extra money, and after the first few tips, reduced our enjoyment
Very inspiring and interesting activity. Pick-up on time and Ozan made explanation on cultural background. Recommended.
The whirling dervish show is advertised on Viator as being at a caravanserai. However, it is actually in the basement of a hotel. Also, there was a problem with the transportation to the event with the driver, insisting that we had not paid for a hotel pick up. However, the dance itself was very moving and a very interesting cultural experience.
Good experience, great and puntual pick up.
We chose to go by ourselves. The communication came shortly after our reservation and everything was smooth. We ran a bit late to the venue but got in without any issues. The performance (more like a ceremony) was tranquil and sacred. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to experience sema.
The dance is basically only twirling and walking as slow as humanly possible. It really is a 10 minute experience drawn out to one hour.
What a privilege to be allowed to observe this sacred ceremony. The venue is small, so the experience is intimate and impactful. Highly recommend!
Ozan was awesome the atmosphere was electric and it was a fantastic party I got to do the dancing with the belly dancer it was so fun!!
It was a somber experience. Well organised and mesmerising. Started and ended on time. Good seating and view
The location is outside Gerome, where most tourists reside, so if you're not with a tour company, you would need a taxi to get to this location. The Dervish ceremony was excellent. Don't expect much from the sample Turkish drink, ‘Serbet’. It was rather an afterthought of the evening.
The ceremony was well worth attending. I've read where it's more authentic than the "ceremonies" in Istanbul. If you miss this event, you are missing a big part of the joy of visiting Cappadocia.
Well organized and recommended for family visiting Goreme in Turkey. Worth spending for as tourist. Recommended for all.
Such an important cultural experience to have while in turkey. This tour was the perfect amount of time for my husband and I. Seeing whirling dervishes was at the top of my list for this visit and this performance did not disappoint. I was able to read all about the ceremony in the pamphlet before-hand and it was beautiful to connect what I read to what I watched. The company was super accommodating to my husband and I when we missed the ceremony the day before due to my bad directions 😵💫 Would and will recommend this tour to anyone coming to cappadocia.
Great experience. Very unique, well organized. Would recommend to everyone if you have not experienced this. Do some research beforehand on the culture and history
Captivating and authentic ceremony. The background information given before the show was interesting and helped set the scene before the ceremony. Prayers, music and dancing was all fabulous
Be sure to sit to the left or in front of the singers or you will have your back to the performers for a large part of it. The best seats are reserved for large tour groups. The music and performance was great. It is 45 mins long. An explanation of what was happening would have been very welcome. These are professional dancers, not actual sufis. So I don’t understand why they don’t allow pictures (maybe they could just say no flash if the problem is that dancers would be distracted).
This experience is extraordinary and exceptional to us, we also enjoy the dancer very professional dancing and whileing.
I loved the Dervish dance. The event has been organized in the details. Everything was organized well. Ozen organized the event cery well.
Really loved the dancing and the tradition. Ozan, did a fantastic job to guide me and prepare me for the event. Definitely watch again.
Interesting, but could be improved if the audience is provided with an explanation during the performance as to what is occurring
Wonderful and fascinating experience. It was spiritual and authentic. The performance was conducted in a very intimate setting. Note that no photos and videos are allowed until the end.
Experience was good. Organisation like clockwork. Had a knowledgeable young man as our guide. He was very helpful. We enjoyed it.
A very interesting and extraordinary experience! Special thanks to Ozan for the perfect organisation to including transfer and information about the ceremony.
The pick up and drop off was on time. The experience was great. Everything was very well organized. At the end the person who organized our tour asked if we had questions about what we seen and explain some details. Definitely is not a show and it’s not for everyone, but I personally enjoyed.
It was great, we enjoyed a lot. The ceremony was really spiritual and worth trying. The staff were cooperative and helpful. Highly recommended.
Was glad to know more about their belief and prayer rituals. Location was easy to find. The organisers contacted us and made all details clear before the event.
The location was fascinating (even though air quality was jot great, got a bit obnoxious at the end). I enjoyed the performance of the musicians and dancers. Maybe as a suggestion you could introduce what we are going to see (for instance the different phases of the ceremony, the colors of the clothes and what it symbolises etc). The leaflet is useful but a verbal introduction would be great.
This was a beautiful ceremony to attend, I felt like I was in a trance as I watched. Everything went smoothly with the hotel pick up. Unfortunately, we had the bad luck of being sat next to a large group of Italian tourists on May 7th which completely ruined the experience for us. Although they remind everyone at the start not to make any noise, no talking, no pictures, no videos and no cellphones, the entire group was talking the whole time and were on their phones, using the flash and taking pictures/videos. It was very disrespectful. Please make sure if you attend, you are able to act accordingly and are able to be present during such events without bothering those around you.
A very beautiful ceremony. Staff and guide was very friendly and helpful. Venue was beautiful and suitable for that type of experience. Would recommend to get to know the culture. I advise to inform yourself about the dervishes and their background and purpose before going there.
This was a wonderful experience. It was my first time seeing the Sufi whirling dance, and it was truly mesmerizing and spiritual. Everything was well-organized, and I felt very comfortable throughout the event. The pickup and drop-off service was also excellent—the driver was punctual and professional. I really enjoyed every part of the evening and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a unique cultural experience.
Authentic experience with a great guide who told us about the history and cultural significance of the dervishes. Would recommend, clear communication about pick up times.
Great cultural experience. It feels very intimate and you are able to be in the moment. After you are allowed to take pictures and video to capture the moment
Wow, what an experience! The show was beautiful and it was fun seeing something new to us. The pick up hotel transfer service was easy to use.
The sema ceremony was amazing. We really enjoyed it. Ozan our guide was really helpful. From the announcer, musicians and the dance was really mesmerising and captivating. The place Motif Kültür Merkezi (Sema Gösterisi Salonu) was under a cave where you can seat around the stage. It is nearby Goreme city about 8 min drive by the Yakut Hotel Kappadokiya. there is a gift shop
Beautiful ceremony and very well managed! The pick up and drop was smooth and comfortable. Tourmania manages it smoothly by updating you with all details on time
The Dervishes ceremony was truly mesmerizing—a beautiful blend of spirituality and artistry. Watching the graceful whirling movements and hearing the soulful Sufi music created a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere. Special thanks to the agency we booked with for making the experience seamless. They picked us up right on time and ensured we were well taken care of throughout. This unforgettable experience was made even better by their excellent service. Highly recommended!
Great experience. A mesmerizing, spiritual experience in Turkey, showcasing captivating dance and cultural tradition.
Paying an extra €10 for a pickup service meant getting into a car reeking of cigarette smoke, just 30 minutes before the performance, for a 5-minute drive to an unattractive building site. Before the show, you’re sent into what looks like a prefabricated container building, where the sofas are soaked with stale odors—enough to make your clothes smell. The performance itself was poorly lit, making it hard to see who was playing which instrument. If I visit Turkey again, I hope to have a better experience in a different city rather than in Cappadocia.
good experience with soulful performance. Special note to Beyza who coordinated the itinerary. Very thankful for the whole experience.
Great performance with great service. Fatma coordinated the arrangements well to get me to and from the venue on time. The Dervishers were extaordinarily focused. An opportunity to take those prized videos and pictures came at the end. It's worth booking through Fatma if you have space on your agenda in Cappadocia.
The ceremony is about an hour and is quite somber and quiet with music, singing and the dervish dancing of course. My driver was Fatma and he was right on time for pickup, was friendly and personable, and transported me to the venue in good time to attend the event. Definitely worth the money for the convenience and warm welcome I received from Fatma. Thank you!
Have to sit quietly for a long time. It’s more of a religious ceremony and this gets a bit tiring after sometime.
Pick up was on time. It was an interesting thing to watch and it was entertaining. We could take a photo at the end and also buy treats nets to n the gift show. From m beginning to end it lasted 2 hours. Perfect for a little outing if you want to do an activity that doesn’t last too long
Intimate and mesmerizing ceremony. It is important to understand what this religious ceremony is about to truly appreciate the beauty of the rituals.
Moves by the Sufees was great!! Venue was perfect and place was convenient and clean We recommend this place Thanks
Good experience, nice place, a little far from the main places. We went on taxi. It was an hour long and they give you information papers to read before to understand what they are doing. It is more a religious ceremony, if you are interested in these thing would recommend it, if not it may feel boring after a while, they let you take photos the last 5 minutes. They also gave us a drink called sharbet.
A last minute experience very well arranged by Murat! Dervish show was very good and well organized. Recommend this experience to everyone!
We chose this experience with pick up and drop off. The person who came to pick us up was on time and when we reached they gave us the front seating. The ceremony is quite intense and if you don’t read about it on pamphlets which are available there or on google , the ceremony will make no sense for the audience. They don’t allow to use cameras or phones till last and for pictures they only allow you at last 5 minutes. All together this was the first time experience for us and it is definitely a must see for adults. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience.
