Cappadocia Green Tour With Derinkuyu Nar Lake And Ihlara Valley

The guide was the worst guide we have had (and we have had many guides). He did not provide any clear explanations- the few time he did try to explain history or what we were seeing, his explanations were largely incoherent and meandering. We didn’t take away any new knowledge from the tour. To his credit he did effectively navigate us through the underground city and was firm with other tourists who got in our way by telling them off. The pick up and driver were good. Places we visited were interesting. Lunch was fine. All in all the tour worked for us as it effectively provided transport to the sites and easy entrance. But I would definitely not recommend it as a tour. It’s a shame as we were looking forward to it.

The tour guide was fantastic; he was informed and respectful . I have been on many tours with my wife who leads high school student trips with professional tour guides and our guide was among the best.

Attilla was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, he was happy to share insights about Turkey and the culture as well as the sights on our tour. He flexed the day to meet the needs of our small group and his organisation skills in the underground city were very welcome! Fantastic guide and driver and no carpet shops!!

The best tour of our trip to Turkey. Our guide was spectacular. He explained everything brilliantly and was very knowledgeable about the topics he covered. We didn't stop at souvenir shops; instead, we dedicated time to what was important: visiting and seeing what was truly worthwhile. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Just book it! I wanted a green tour with no factory stops (iykyk) and Darinkuyu under ground city. It took me hours to find one that wasn’t a private tour and I’m glad I found this one! We were lucky to only have 6 in our group today but the max is 12 anyway. We met some really nice people in our group and our guide Shahin was the best. He was so knowledgeable. In my opinion the under ground city would be cool to see but without a guide you wouldn’t have any idea how many interesting details you were missing. There were literally no signs explaining the rooms but we were shown details that gave each room purpose. I believe the price maybe more than other tours but you get what you pay for and I felt like this was well worth the cost.

I’m glad they did because Al the tour guide was HILARIOUS and super knowledgeable. He made sure we spent the right amount of time at each place. The underground city was unforgettable. The van driver, Abu Bakr, was very helpful and kind, especially while helping with my mobility walker, and he kept me company as others went on their hikes etc… The gem store was a highlight, allot at least 200 USD to spend here. As usual, the WESTERN style bathrooms were the best at the museums and the gem store. FYI tips in American dollars were appreciated. Pick up and drop off at the hotel was not only convenient, but necessary given the narrow and steep roads there. Would most definitely recommend!

This tour is unlike all the other “Green Tours” in Cappadocia because the tour had NO sales stops (like a pottery studio, jewelry shop etc.) Even through the tour is more expensive than other comparable ones (including those sold to you by your hotel), our guide, Shahin spent the ENTIRE TOUR TIME teaching us in-depth history on all the places we visited. No sales pitches, no “surprise” stops to random shops. This alone is totally worth the money. Lunch was also at an excellent restaurant. Highly recommended!

Sefer was my guide for this tour and I can’t recommend him enough! He was super knowledgeable, gave us a thorough explanation at each site, and made jokes throughout the day to keep us engaged. He even taught us a little bit of Turkish! As we were driving between stops, we spotted a double rainbow so the driver and Sefer safely stopped on the side of the road for us to take pictures. This tour was absolutely the highlight of my Cappadocia trip!

Our russian tour guide Marina was attentive and informative. The itinerary was very efficient: there was no rush and no time wasted either, as opposed to other green tours that include a lot of shopping stops. This is a great stress-free alternative to rental cars and allows one to see local attractions that are otherwise difficult to reach. Do keep in mind that the time allotted for the Ilhara valley, while sufficient for a nice walk, isn’t enough to reach the churches.

We booked this tour because we had only few days in Cappadocia and it covers the majority of attaction without wasting time in shopping. Our tour guide Müge was very professional and friendly. She gave us a lot of insides explanations. We highly ret this tour !

Even though my English is limited and I could only understand about 60%, I still walked away having learned so much. Focus on Sights, Not Shopping: The itinerary was perfectly balanced between nature and culture. There were no forced shopping stops, except for a final visit to a gift shop where everyone actually had a great time enjoying some Turkish Delights. Manageable Physical Difficulty: While there was a fair amount of climbing and walking, it was well within the average person's fitness level. You don't need to worry too much about the physical demand. Delicious Lunch & Amazing Ayran: The lunch was genuinely impressive. I would recommend this tour because there's more time dedicated to the different sites. Sahim was our guide and he was very informative and explained things with lots of details. After he provides the history of the site. You have free time to wonder around which you don't often get with other tour companies.

Absolutely wonderful tour. Getting the opportunity to visit Derinkuyu (a UNESCO World Heritage site) instead of one of the other underground cities definitely sets this tour apart. Getting to explore Selime Cathedral was also an incredible experience, especially since we were the only tour group there at the time. And as an added bonus, the bane of every tour I ever go on was excluded. No rug/pottery/jewelry making demonstration that is a complete time suck for the sole purpose of providing the tour operator a commission on any products sold. We did stop by a sweet shop at the very end, but it was a minimal amount of time, and I always enjoy picking up candies for my family back home while I'm away.

This was a great tour. We were able to visit a lot of sites in a day and gained so much knowledge. There was time to learn about the history and culture but also time on our own to explore and enjoy the sites.

I enthusiastically booked their tour, they accepted my money, sent me a confirmation. So I bought my plane tickets to go from france to cappadocia. And once I had landed in Turkey, 2 days before the tour, they cancelled their own ticket! They should warn online all future clients that "maybe or maybe not we will cancel your ticket". If I had known, I would not have wasted time, hope and flight money. Now, It's been 12 days and I still got zero refund of their 39€ ticket: I have had to click "refund", then to ask them, then to ask tripadvisor, then viator, and now viator tells me they did refund 12 days ago, which is NOT AT ALL TRUE. Very irritating.

Full day green tour with a major difference with other companies- this one did NOT include those annoying and touristy places that sold local goods at marked up prices - such a refreshing and welcome change! Our driver guide Shahin was extremely knowledgeable and explained the history of Cappadocia in detail in a highly interesting and interactive way Highly recommended !

Thoroughly enjoyed the green tour. Ilhara Valley is a must visit in Cappadocia. Ali was our tour guide and was very patient and had great knowledge about the area's history. The Derinkuyu underground city is another gems of this place. A lovely day altogether!!

The tour guide was very informative and very pleasant. Nice mixture of activities and kept us engaged. Winter is a great time to do the green tour.

Our guide Ahmet Shahin has deep knowledge in history and archeology. He told us we visited places that were no frequented by other tours. He's elaboration on what we saw, the association of history behind that, and his ability to answer questions as random as 'Who used the balcony in the catherdral in the Selime Monastery' made us able to appreciate the relics we visited even more. Overall, this was one of the best tours I’ve ever taken! Since I was the only English-speaking customer that day, I had the privilege of a personal tour with her and she truly made the experience unforgettable. Kübra was fantastic - so polite, professional and deeply knowledgeable about the history of the sites. Her storytelling brought the fascinating history of Derinkuyu to life and she patiently answered every question I had about the cave’s intricate structures and past. Narli Lake was equally magical - its serene beauty is something you need to experience in person. Kübra’s insights about the area’s significance added so much depth to the visit.

The Green Tour resumes days (or weeks, for afficionados) worth of experience in a single day. You may find sites you want to come back to and explore more profoundly, but the overal experience is awe inspiring. Strongly recommended, including the operator. Professional and warm-hearted, I loved every minute

The trip is well-designed. So today there are 2 Russian tourists who are accompanied by a Russian guide, and Tripster allows another English-speaking to accompany me. So obviously it looks like I have my own guide on a luxury service. I am happy! My guide Kubra is just a genuine and kind-hearted person. She takes good care of the whole team. Best guide ever! The tour was worth it and praises to our tour guide, Hubra, for her educated knowledge of the areas visited. In addition, the food tasting at the end of the tour was also ok, but a pointless trip. Do have a go with Tripster Travel Cappadocia.

Initially we waited for almost 1 hour behind the designated pick up time. In spite of that, the admin was pretty responsive. The trip itself is exciting, full of historical experiences and great explanations from Kübra :) she was super attentive and took some photos for us thank you for that

This tour was amazing. Bus picked us up in the morning and we saw a lot of beautiful spots. Our guide Kubra told us many things about Cappadocia (history, legends), sometimes adding to the experience images and fun facts. Her English was perfect and we were very happy to join her in this tour! High recommended!

Tripster was near our hotel (Goreme Inn) and after having a chat, we decided to go for the green tour with them. Ended up with a total group of 8, Started bang on time, our guide Kubra was extremely well informed and gave us a looot of background and history on cappadoccia and the sights. She even handled a turkish tourist in parallel which was admirable. Very good energy! Appropriate time spent at each spot, ample time to explore and click pictures, comfortable ride and great lunch spots. Would definitely recommend!

Kubra is very nice girl, very knowledgeable and comucative. 🙂 Driver is nice and drives well and safetly. The whole tour is worthfull. If your think on taking it, no more just buy it. Marco & Ingrid
