Megaron Cave Hotel Cappadocia

It was an excellent experience to stay at Megaron Cave hotel for three nights from 6 May to 9 May. our group was consisted of two families. We were treat like a family member of the owner Mr. Hufzullah. The family run hotel was like our own residence. Ms. Sumaiya Cousin of Mr Hufzullah is an excellent cook. The dinner prepared her was so delicious it cannot be described unless someone does not taste it in person. I shall recommend to stay here whoever visits Cappadocia.

I can’t say enough about this gem. This local family owned hotel is only a short taxi ride from Göreme and a 15 min walk from the Castle where you can find a plaza with many options to eat or simply enjoy the beautiful views. The advantage of lodging here vs the main plaza is the the break you get from the constant tour buses and crowds. It is a great way to end your day and taking in this magical place. We opted to dine daily and Mr Hafiz will really tries to accommodate you. We arrived early and luckily our room was available 😊. We also sincerely thank Ms. Gülay for the incredible homemade daily breakfast. Mr. Hafiz told us the food is locally sourced. Looking forward to waking up to the beautiful sun daily and watching the balloons easily became our routine. They ballon’s are at the mercy of the wind so you spot them at different places from the terrace, sometimes right above your head. I loved this place so much, our last night here, I shed a tear, and decided to extend our stay by three nights. I’m also sad the leave my doggie friend who lives a few houses away and walked us to the gate. A piece of my heart is left behind❤️.

I would like to thank the owner of the property for hosting us very nicely, and the staff working there Guyal she is the sweetest, we are Indians and we do not had turkish breakfast on the first day, we had eggs and bread. So from the next morning she started to serve us milk tea milk coffee bread eggs fries. She truly a lovely woman and so kind. The view from the room was so beautiful and hot tub was a must because after the long tour in evening it was so calming to watch view soaked in hot tub. The best memories I have taken with me back home. Thank you once again.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at this hotel in Cappadocia. While the location and the view were beautiful, my experience with one of the staff member named Mr. Fakhi ruined my entire stay. Firstly, Mr. Fakhi made false promises about breakfast on the day of our departure. We had to leave early, and he assured us that he would arrange for breakfast. However, despite reminding him multiple times, he failed to deliver on his promise and ignored us. Prior to this, he had also promised to take us on a Cappadocia tour, which turned out to be a disaster. Instead of showing us around the beautiful attractions of Cappadocia, he took us to carpet stores, pottery stores, and jewelry stores and charged us 20 euros for that. When we requested to see the Fairy Chimney or the Ortahisar Castle, he either ignored our request or took us to places where he would get a commission. Apart from this, I was disappointed to find out that the hotel did not provide room service despite the room being big. Furthermore, we had to ask for drinking water, which was supposed to be included in the package. This lack of basic amenities and services was very frustrating. Overall, my experience with hotel was disappointing, and Mr. Fakhi's behavior and false promises ruined our entire stay in Cappadocia. I hope you people take this feedback seriously and take necessary actions to improve your services and staff behavior in the future.
