We did a Capetown city tour, Cape of Good Hope, Boulder beach... Our guide Jakes was great, very knowledgeable, and fun.

Jacob was an amazing guide. We went to 4 wineries for tastings plus a 5th just for a quick lunch. Jacob was full of stories and information throughout the day. We were treated very well at all of the wineries where we had a wide range of wines to taste. We had at least 6 pours per winery. You need to pace yourself. Highly recommend this tour.

Great tour with Jacob and Afrivista Wine Tour. They picked us up at our hotel in Stellenbosch promptly and we had the opportunity to visit 4 wineries in the region. Jacob was so knowledgeable on the various areas we drove thru and each winery we visited. He was friendly and genuinely caring about our comfort and happiness throughout the day. From first tasting, lunch, and last tasting it was a great day. I highly recommend booking a tour with Afrivista, you will not be disappointed.

Fabulous full day wine tour today with Afrivista Wine Tours. Picked us up at 09:15 from our Airbnb and dropped us back at 18:00 hrs. Visited four Wine Estates which included two cellar tours and a 5th Wine Estate 'Le Pommier' for a really good lunch and more wine. Big shout-out to Jake our driver and guide who was knowledgeable, engaging and good fun. This well organised tour was really good value for money. Would definitely recommend, make sure you have a decent breakfast before going though to prepare for the coming wine tastings.

Jake was our tour guide for the day. He was very knowledgeable, entertaining, committed and passionate about the wine estates we visited and SA in general. 100% recommended!!

We had a wonderful day with Jake and our group. Jake is a wealth of knowledge and enjoyed answering all our questions. We visited 5 wineries with tastings at 4 and a lovely lunch, with wine, at the other. All the wineries were charming and each one claimed to be the best! Plenty of wine was consumed, be careful to pace yourself as you want to be awake for the last winery! Our group were good fun, mainly British but also German and American. The weather was perfect which added to the experience. I highly recommend, especially as they went out of their way to pick us up from our hotel.

An all round great experience. Due to various events beyond our control we ended uo with a personal wine tour with Neal the tour owner. Had a great time drinking fab wine, eating and discussing life, its meaning and modern South Africa. Like i said, a great tour, great guide and a great time. Well worth it.

Jake was brilliant, really knowledgeable regarding the local history, very helpful and knows great wineries to go to. I would highly recommend this as well as lunch and cheese tasting.

Jakes was such a thorough tour guide. My husband & I enjoyed our time and conversations with him. He knew his way through the Winelands as well as important details about wine making. We would gladly recommend this tour to anyone who asks!

Fantastic day. Jakes was a great guide, very knowledgeable on the history of Stellenbosch, of the wineries and the wine. The food we had at lunch was superb. There were only 4 of us on the tour, us and a lovely couple from Germany who were such good fun and who really made the overall experience an amazing one. Would definitely recommend this tour and we will definitely be booking it when we come again!

On-time pick-up, guide Jakes was very knowledgable and explained some things about Stellenbosch as he drove us towards the wineries. He knew the history and background of each one. On the way back into Stellenbosch, he pointed out some places to shop and eat. Great tour!

Superb wine tour. Took us to 4 very different wineries, around a wide area of Stellenbosch. Our guide was superb, giving lots of information about the area and the wineries. Lunch was great. We were not rushed - given plenty of time (and wine). Great and friendly booking communication. We will be back and telling all our friends to go.

An awesome day out with a very knowledgeable guide who clearly knows the background of each of the estates we visited and as a friend told me he’s chosen some of the best and he wasn’t wrong! Not too big a group either which means it’s fairly easy to enjoy other couples company without it being forced! A must do tour I would certainly do again and worth every buck!

Brilliant day out I’m not a wine drinker but was impressed after sampling a few all vineyards we visited gave generous tastings and the food was excellent thoroughly enjoyed our day

This was a top tour. Perhaps it was partly the result of being part of a small group that thus was so enjoyable, but the role of the guide cannot be understated. To start with he provided us with facts and allowed us to enjoy the wine but as the day progressed he joined in with our conversations more and this added to the experience. We visited 4 vineyards, all of high quality but the Rustenberg estate was particularly memorable.

An amazing day with our exceptional guide Niel from Afrivista Tours-Viator who was well versed in the Stellenbosch wine region. He has a great background, after growing up in Stellenbosch, bringing tons of experience to the tour and provided many insights on the wine growing history of the region. Being so knowledgeable he was also able to provide our group details on each of the (4) wineries we visited. We had an outstanding lunch at a (5th) winery where we had an opportunity to talk about Stellenbosch, Paarl & Franschoek and the top wines being produced. Pinotage is a wine we had never been exposed to in the U.S., so it was great hearing from Niel on how it has developed and grown in popularity. You must try some, especially at Kanonkop Winery who we rated #1. I highly recommend Afrivista Tours to take you on a day long winery tour of the region in their very comfortable air conditioned mini-vans.

Great wine tasting tour to 4 different wineries with different characters and good lunch. Very good driver and guide. Pickup at our hotel appreciated. Rustenberg wines delicious. Neil makes the wine tasting to an fantastic experience. He makes also sure you are not de-hydrating (; He gave a lot of insights to the technical wine part but also made you feel all the time in best hands. Strongly recommended to enjoy a day of wine with him!

We really enjoyed our 3/4 day wine tour with Niel. It was obvious from the start that Niel, himself, is very knowledgeable about wine and the wine estates around Stellenbosch. This enables him to tailor the tours to the tastes of his clients, which he did exceptionally well on the day we did the tour. He is also very friendly and manages to create a great atmosphere amongst the various guests on the tour, even if their politics differ. I would highly recommend Niels tours to anyone who is spending some time in Stellenbosch.

This a great value tour where you can do part or full days The service is amazing and not budget. The food and wine is included. You will taste some of the best wines Stellenbosch has to offer. Don't even think about any other company.

We have done many wine tours in various parts of the world but none were as good as the we had yesterday with Niel. He was able to take us through a winery and show the whole process of wine making. After which we enjoyed wines at several wine properties. During these visits we sampled different wines which were described to us in detail. Whenever anyone had a question Niel answered in great detail so we could understand. The lunch we were served was superb. We would recommend taking his tour to anyone-whether a beginner to wines or someone with experience and knowledge of wines. A first class experience for anyone.

Jake was an amazing guide. He gave us knowledge about the town, grapes, winemaking and even history. He was kind and friendly and took us to wonderful wineries, each different yet excellent. This was one of the best wine tours I’ve ever done.

We had the privilege of having Niel drive us from Cape Town to Stellenbosch , taking a scenic route and visiting the Cape of Good Hope and Boulder’s Bay and other points of interest along the way. Niel was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We also spent an enjoyable day touring wineries in Stellenbosch. On our final day, we contacted Niel with a last minute request and he arranged for Marius to take us to several animal sanctuaries. Despite the short notice, the day was planned quickly and perfectly and exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect ending to our stay in South Africa. I would highly recommend Afrivista Tours!

I operate a tour company in Canada and take groups all over the world, including several to South Africa each year. Niel looks after all our winery and other tours in the Stellenbosch area. He takes us to Cape Point and Boulder Beach (to see the penguins). Starting in 2025 he will take our groups to Hermanus as well. I cannot imagine a better company to deal with in the Stellenbosch area than Afrivista.

What a wonderful experience !! Jakobus was our guide for the day, This trip is a real find.... a must, if in Stellenbosch. We booked our day trip, the day before, .( it turned out cheaper than pre booking). Our tour guide Jakobus, was an extremely informative guy. . On our tour, he told us lots of quirky anecdotes of Stellenbosch itself, having grown up there and still a resident. The cheese and wine pairing at one winery was superb!! One could also buy delicious breads, cheeses and of course the wines. What's not to like!!! I would most certainly repeat this wine Tour again . Super value for money, Top guide, fantastic cheeses, and of course, great wines One can just sit back and enjoy the wonderful senary and the delicious wines and not have to worry. Almost forgot , a very tasty lunch is also included in the price. !! TOP!!! STARS ALL ROUND

We are a mixed group of friends and family members with ages from 21 to 67 and we had a memorable 10 days holiday on the Garden Route , Cape Town and Gondwana Game Reserve . Niels , Wills and Jake took care of all minute details and ensure that our mixed group were entertained and well fed . Their recommendation of the restaurants were spot on for experiencing South African cuisine , and game meat. They were flexible with some last minute travelling arrangements and very knowledgeable on the sights and culture .

Impossible to single out one part. Jacub was full of interesting facts about the places we visited and the history of the area. Visited 4 different wine yards and none provided the same experience. Lovely lunch and an extra stop was made to allow us to visit a cellar. Would definitely recommend

Excellent tour by Marius he took us to 4 totally different wine farms and we had a different experience at each one. We would definitely recommend this tour. Marius has a great sense of humour as well as fantastic knowledge.

Overall we enjoyed the vineyards that were chosen to visit. However the day started unnecessarily early given 90 mins + was allowed at the first vineyard. Jake talked too much and needs to say what is needed and then give the audience a rest. Listening to him for 9 hours was wearing.

Jakob was a great host/driver for this trip. After being picked up (on time) we were a small group. Jakob gave us some history of Stellenbosch whilst we got onto our first winery of 5 in the day. Each winery had a different character and it was interesting tasting (at least 4 tastings at each venue) what they had produced with a narrative from each one. Personally the best was saved for last (I will let that remain a surprise!). The inclusive lunch was also very nice and let me sample a traditional South African dish of Bobotie. This is a BIG recommend for this excursion.

Loved the variety of vineyards and wines we got to taste. Jake was an “awesome” guide and driver. It was great to be able to leave the driving and winery selection up to someone who knew the area so wel. The stories during the drive time were also interesting.

Brilliant day with Jack as our guide. What he didn't know about wines isn't worth knowing. Better still he gave us insight into the culture and customs of the country. Answered every question that we had, and a very safe and comfortable mini bus. Really enjoyed the day and his company.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the local area and the vineyards, as well as arranging for an extra cheese tasting in the day for us! The wines were all lovely and the company was great, too.
