Franschhoek E-bike Wine Tour (Half Day)

We loved our bike ride through the countryside. Stopping at two wineries was perfect. Our guide G was easy going and made a great afternoon for us.

Fun and different way to experience wine tasting. Guides very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended.

Ash our guide was fantastic. He tailored our afternoon around the windy weather and our abilities. We visited two estates, both very different but so good to see. Ash gave us so much inspire, and we loved getting a real insight into the area and just a locals perspective. Would recommend to anybody.

We had a lovely time with Prince and Angelo. The pace was perfect and we visited two wine estates. Both guides were very talkative and bubbly and they wanted to get to know us and what we liked doing. The tour lasted about 4 hours and would highly recommend for any cyclist of any ability.

Loved a great afternoon of fun on the eBikes and wine tasting at two different vineyards. Our guide, Prince, added to the fun as he is a great character and always made sure that we were happy with the pace when riding. I haven't ridden a bike for several years, but I soon got used to using the power to help me keep up with others. Beautiful countryside to ride through and admire, especially as most was on quiet roads or tracks, so you had time to look around rather than worry about traffic. Thank you Prince, our fellow Peaky Blinders fan 😎

The star of the show is the Franschoek scenery - photogenic, lush and beautiful. This tour was a group tour and there were 9 of us, a mix of old and young, couples and families. The bikes were fat tyre mountain bikes but quite ropey and not that well maintained. They were adequate. The two guides were friendly and funny but not very knowledgeable about wine beyond the basics and the two wineries visited were very commercial, I had been expecting four wineries and at least one cellar tour but this was very basic stuff. The route was limited in scope - some gravel paths, roads and a pavement or two alongside a very busy main road. No problem but all very average.

We had a fantastic morning on this tour. Our guide, Prince, was waiting at the meeting point with good quality bikes and helmets, and made sure we were set up for a great morning's cycle. He checked what we were interested in, and led us through the countryside at a pace to suit us, visiting two vineyards, with different characteristics and entertaining us along the route. Prince was super knowledgeable and highly entertaining. He is smart, funny, conscientious and great company. This is a great tour for any age, and will be tailored to you.

Great guides and ensured we were all OK along the whole ride by following in a van. The ebikes were good fun and meant you could pedal as much or as little as you wanted. The wine tasting was excellent aswell which then made the ebike ride home better!

Great fun, bikes easy to ride. Routes not difficult even for a beginner. Prince was delightful and very helpful. Just two vineyards visited but that was plenty.

We had a fantastic time visiting 3 vineyards on our eBike tour. We covered quite some distance with the help of our battery powered bikes. The setting of the vineyards was spectacular and our guide (Prince) was very enthusiastic and gave us some great insights on the Franschhoek area and the vineyards. The wines were lovely too and it was a great way to spend a few hours in a beautiful part of the world.

The e-bike tour itself was amazing wit a great guide, Prince. But the whole reservation system and communication via the reservation platform is a shambles as it has been completely dehumanized. There’s no one to talk to if there is an issue and the stereotyped AI inspired responses are very confusing to say the least.

Our guide, Prince, was wonderful and very knowledgeable. We had such a great time. We would do it again in a heartbeat. The wineries we visited were lovely and the staff so welcoming.

We met Prince, our guide, near his car with bikes outside of the little restaurant Terbodore at Franschhoek main street. It was low season so it was just the three of us (three generations) with Prince. Bikes and helmets were in excellent condition and in the right sizes. Prince took time to explain the bikes to us to make sure we would have a safe tour. We had booked a half day tour, which meant that we visited two wine cellars. Which was enough because even though one tastes just samples, it is still a lot of wine that one gets altogether. We took our time and we did not feel rushed at all. The landscape is gorgeous and Prince stopped at nice viewpoints so we could take photos. Prince himself did not drink the wine which made us feel extra safe. He also carried the 2 bottles that we bought in his backpack, so we could focus on the riding. Altogether we had a great experience!

Prince was our guide and was a fantastic host for our beautiful afternoon exploring the vineyards and area surrounding Franschhoek. Prince had many facts to entertain all the family as well as keeping us safe touring around. Everything was done at an appropriate pace with fantastic wine and chocolate pairings to match!

We had a wonderful day biking to the wineries in Franschoek. Prince was the perfect guide for our group combining a great sense of humour, his knowledge about wine and wineries and his ability to participate in some great conversations in a group from Belgium, Germany and Canada. The e-bikes were a good way to get some exercise while taking in the beautiful scenery and working up a thirst.

Really good wine to the house. PRINCE was very enthusiastic and helpful and knowledgeable. The scenery on the tour is amazing. The only possible downside is the bikes or a little bit old but worked perfectly fine.

Fantastic guided e-bike tour of Franschhoek with wine tastings at 2 vineyards. Our guide, Dohann, was really good - professional, but relaxed, patient & very knowledgeable about South Africa in general and wine farming in particular. We had a great morning on the tour and would highly recommend it.

A great morning. Very well lead by Ulrich. Good long cycle along quiet roads and tracks to coffee. Then on to a wine tasting (Chamonix) with beautiful views and good wines. Back through some smooth tracks to end a great 3 1/2 hours. The e-bikes take the strain on the hills and you can peddle hard of soft as you like. Thoroughly recommend.

This was a 15km biking tour of 4 or 5 wineries (LOL I can't remember). However, learning to pair wines with food tasting was an exquisite experience. They presented to us their best wines which were just that. The two of us had hired a tour guide that took us on a wonderful afternoon journey. We paced ourselves in the tasting and on the ride. This is a treat that should not be missed.

We had a great day with eBikes around the beautiful vignards in the Franchhoek area. Prince was our guide he was really funny and he explained us the main stories around the areas. Had some great wine tasting. The only negative comment is that Viator put the wrong address as a meeting point so we had to schedule the trip differently from how it was defined!

Lovely circular route around Franschhoek on back roads, with a couple of tasting stops of course. Oudts was great company, and knowledgeable about the area in general - so ask him lots of questions! Great alternative the other ways to tour, and you get a bit of sunny exercise thrown in - with a little help up the hills from the motor! All in all, a fab way to spend a morning or afternoon in beautiful Franschhoek

Very helpful as we were in a bit of a muddle re accommodation. We received the best care and we probably would like to do it again if we come back to Franschhoek.

This was a very enjoyable trip. We met our guide with the bikes and he gave us a quick safety brief and showed us how the bikes worked especially the way you switch to the assisted E system This helps a lot when you feel you are going off road and you need assistance to keep up with the fitter & younger cyclists. Easy to use and a pleasure to ride I felt safe being in a group of 6. We used a mix of normal roads keeping to the inside of the road in some cases the area was lined for safety. Then off road which could be bumpy but with the big tyres we hardly felt it. Our guide gave us choices of wine tastings but we did feel he had his favourites. Although he didn’t drink wine only coffee. He let us enjoy the tastings which were great value. We covered around 10 to 12 Kilometers and it was so satisfying when we got back to our start point. My bike just lost its power a mile or so out but my son swapped bikes so I could make the last mile which did have a few gradients. Altogether a great trip which I would gladly recommend to everyone .

Brilliant trip so much better than the tram that we did following day. Tram is good but boozy whilst the e bikes feel more sporty and more interactive with fellow e bikers.

My wife and I have been bikers for years but this was our first experience of an E-Bike - and it won't be our last. What a pleasure to cycle the off roads and paths around some of the beautiful wine farms of the district whilst working up a thirst but not a sweat! We stopped at two wineries for tastings (not too much!) before returning to Franschhoek. Our guide Nick was excellent and informative.

A super great ride. Two wine tastings (which you pay for yourself ). I would do it over and over again. There is a lot of emphasis on safety.

4 hour ride on e-mountain bikes in good condition. Our young guide told us historical stories about Franschhoek in a good and exciting way.
