This place did not just host me, it held me. There is a type of warmth to the place that I cannot explain. Not only from the fireplace (which is now my new favourite spot to drink wine) that seemed to burn day and night, but from the staff, the quiet, the care, the way everything felt so deeply intentional. It is intimate in the most beautiful way, the whole place was simply made for slowing down, breathing deeper, and falling in love with life and even love again. Mornings were unforgettable. Waking up to views upon views. The second morning the mist rolled in and covered everything in a soft grey, it only made it more beautiful — like the mountains were hiding secrets and the whole valley was wrapped in a dream still to be lived. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and kind, and the owner was the most accommodating owner on our entire trip. There is a rare kind of heart in this place, the kind that captures yours. I left completely in love — with the views, the fire, the stillness, the people, and the feeling of being so warmly cared for. The Log Collective is not just a place to stay. It is a place that stays with you. Could not recommend it more.

Was a fantastic stay! Comfortable, quiet, all the amenities required. Will definitely be back. Thank you for having us.
This weekend was a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms are prefect, the staff is amazing, friendly and very responsive. There is an all-round positive attitude that made it a pleasure to be there The food was great and the chef was very considerate with feedback and dietary issues, with a smile, which was refreshing and much appreciated. The hot tub was the highlight. The beds were just right in terms of hard/soft ratio and the couches were very comfy. The shower pressure was great and the amenities were really good too.The views were spectacular. The dogs Simba and Sabrina were a welcome added bonus and we loved having them around to pet and cuddle with Over all a 5 star experience for me -Vicky
Unfortunately our experience of the Serenity Villa was not what we expected based on the advert on their website and other platforms. There is no privacy at the hot tub and it is definitely not equipped for rainy days as there is no cover or protection from the rain. The villa itself is ok, but lacks many things from a self-catering experience. The fireplace is very small and can only take 2 pieces of wood at a time. The internet connection is very poor and even though there was no loadshedding, there was no electricity in the morning so we could not make breakfast. Unfortunately we won't be back as there are so many better options in Western Cape for cabins and pods with hot tubs that is under R5k a night and provides a much better and more private experience.
I have to thank Helene for her helpful friendly nature. Our original booking was a horrible experience, I phoned and she was willing to keep their last opening for my family. What a pleasant surprise when we arrived, we felt at home immediately. Michael was the perfect host, we received a warm and friendly welcome. He even helped with our luggage and offered us a welcome drink. We had a delicious dinner the same night. They have a fantastic in-house chef. Beautiful, clean, comfortable rooms and stunning views. Will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone.
