We stayed three night at De Leeuwenhof Estate after a road trip in Northern Cape for some relaxing time before going back home. A perfect place to take it easy, close to Paarl still countryside feeling. Unfortunately we were alone there two of the nights as a big of off season in May, still we could have hamburger evening one night and pizza evening another. Thanks for keeping restaurant open for just us!
Beautiful estate, amazing people, and a fantastic dining experience. The pizza is a must-try, or spoil yourself with the mussels — compliments to the chef.
We dropped by impromptu after a long drive and were welcomed and generously accommodated by Tessa. The experience continued in this fashion over the next few days, with Emmie and Harelize taking good care of our every need. We were treated like regulars or family. Absolutely beautiful setting with loads of guava trees, beautiful views and a large swimming pool surrounded by a restaurant, bar and pizza kitchen. The absolute best mix between a resort experience and a farm-stay experience. The staff are exceptionally accommodating and we are forever grateful. Such a gem. We will be back soon!
This was our second stay at Leeuwenhof, and what an absolute pleasure it was to be back! The beautiful location, the excellent facilities, the 300-year-old building, and the exceptionally friendly service make this place truly one of a kind. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, and the food available throughout the day is also excellent. We stayed with our three children, who absolutely loved the playground and all the animals they could see and pet. Each evening, a campfire is lit, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. From Leeuwenhof, it’s easy to explore the entire Cape region and then return to this haven of peace and relaxation. All in all, I can only highly recommend visiting this beautiful place.
