When I booked the trip, one of the managers asked if we could change the times to a later time. I responded with a yes. Now mind you this was before they sent their super long generic message about not being able to amend times at a particular time (even though they suggested it)! I have been sending messages after messages not realizing that they didn't even confirm my booking. I told then when I was going to leave, no response, I told them when I was on the way, no response, I told theM when I reached, guess what... NO RESPONSE !!!!! When I got there, the lady at the venue told me that they didn't book me at all. I went into a full rage after the lady was trying to put me off and refused to get in touch with the manager. I had to show her my messages to prove that I got no response after the generic message. I honestly thought they have made a plan for me agter they wanted to change my times, but this wasn't the case at all. The basic decency they could've done was at least respond to my multiple line of messages to explain that the booking was not made. And I would've understood. Not me raging and shouting until I finally have one of the managers call me and gaslight me !!! Take some accountability here. And learn to communicate in a better manner, even if the client is wrong !!! And there was another group of tourists who had the SAME ISSUE AS ME . Do not use this company if you want to be ghosted when you try to communicate and they gaslight you instead. DISGUSTING SERVICE. Will use another company instead.

Excellent experience! The sand dunes are absolutely stunning. We stopped for photos and the guy who took my photos got every angle. He was patient and my pictures came out perfect 🤩

disappointed we never hot to ride

Not safe , pricey for one hour , the guide was impulsive and wreckless. We needed help when someone got injured, it took 3 hours for any assistance , stranded in the dunes and wild x adventures did nothing, not helfpul , guides are not equipped with even the basics of first aid so i stepped in to assist. Did not get to do the full experience and refund requests were ignored & almost impossible. Nobody here cares , not on site medical help in case of emergencies , please make sure to sign the necessary documents and double check exluded costs in the small / fine print. Nobody here is professional , not even the guys at the Park who were eating oily chicken and proceeded to hand their oily dirty pens to use to sign with and food stuffed in their mouths. Absolute no thank you. 0/10

I've been there two days ago and was leaving cape town the same day. It was a fantastic experience. The guide was amazing and took beautiful pictures and videos.

We bought this experience online, it said kids get 50% off however when you try to pay it gives you to pay for three full price tickets so we decided to pay for the kid upon arrival, when we arrived the lady first told us we only get 100ZAR off and when we showed her the proof that it said 50% off she said ok, now when we went to get our helmet she said that we still need to pay 350ZAR on top to enter the dunes as that wasn’t included on what was paid already online. Which made this experience not enjoyable but we give the stars to Eddie who was very friendly and took as around the dunes, he also took nice pictures for us and videos. we are thankful to him, but overall it was disappointing.

Had an amazing time experience from arrival , the quadbiking experience. The team was happy to assist and share any information I required. It was my first time quadbiking and my tour guide was very patient and friendly. Took great pictures me as well😍

What a fantastic family experience! We took our three teenage children with us and we had the most amazing time. William, a staff member and our guide, was friendly and informative. It was well worth the money and the views were fantastic. Our kids have asked when they can go again already! The thrill of racing across the dunes with our children will be one we will cherish forever. There are toilet facilities and a place to buy drinks and a limit food selection.

Great fun. William was patient and serious. We were slightly delayed and they were flexible with us. They shpuld just wash their helmets although they provide nets

Disappointing experience and poor management – avoid Wild X at Atlantis Dunes ​We booked a large group tour, but one of our quad bikes was dangerously faulty from the start—stalling, hard to maneuver, and nearly flipping twice despite being handled by an experienced, careful rider. ​Fifty minutes in, the bike completely ran out of petrol. Instead of providing a replacement, the guide told us the tour was ending soon and forced two adult riders to double up. This ruined the experience for both, leaving the passenger in severe back pain from the uncomfortable seating. ​When we addressed this with the manager, he was completely unhelpful and defensive, refusing a reasonable solution or refund and blaming us for not reporting the mechanical issues sooner (which we initially assumed was just a stiff bike). They eventually offered a useless "20-minute extra ride for one person," completely ignoring that multiple people's safety and experiences were compromised. Untrained staff, poorly maintained equipment, and terrible customer service. We tried contacting owner but phone wasn't answered. Its and overpriced experience to begin with and then this is the service we received.

My tour guide was amazing. He allowed me to ride around the dunes openly. I had a blast!

The weather was perfect for the day and we all really enjoyed quad biking through the sand dunes. It wasn't too crowded and the staff made everything clear and helped us all with any issues we had. 60 minutes was good to explore and learn how to ride properly, but by the end, we all wanted to have another go at it.

What a lovely experience. We are definitely doing it again. I had the best moment with my loved one. The camera man was very friendly.

So much fun! Would recommend as an activity to do while in Cape Town or surrounding areas. Staff are professional and know what they are doing. Make sure you get your photos and have a great time. Second time visiting and would definitely do it again

We booked the 1 hour quad bike adventure in March 2026, during a heat wave. It was a hot day, but great fun. Our guide was excellent and we were fortunate to go out in a group of just the 4 of us friends. The guide went at our pace and at times it felt like we were all alone in the middle of nowhere. We stopped for some photos, which were taken on our phone (so no extortionate printing fees). There is an admission fee payable on site, but we were informed of this in advance. They provide hair nets (for the helmets) and we'd recommend longer shorts, as they bike seats get hot. There's a small shop at the entrance to the dunes, so you can grab a much needed drink afterwards too.

It was extremely hot, so dress cool. The one hour experience was plenty of time. The guys did a great job of filming our ride and taking group and group/individual photos.

WOW!! Probably the most fun we had in Cape Town - about a 45 minute drive from the City. This is without question a must do. Went with our 10-year daughter and she kept asking to go back.

It is a bit scary at the beginning, however after 10 minutes you actually enjoy the ride. It was amazing. Our instructor Romeo was attentive and patient. Made the experience easy and enjoyable.

The activity had potential. except the guide seemed like had somewhere else to be. We booked the activity for an hour but was told it was done after 40 minutes. I questioned the guide and he said i saw you took a photo before it started go check the time - I did that and showed him the time stamp. He said that you arrived half an hour early and your activity started when you arrived in the car park. it was his birthday he told us and I was looking forward to giving him a huge tip... unfortunately when you cheat your customers - you'll get nothing. please stop being dodgy - tourism is important to Cape Town and this behaviour gives us a bad name.

They were overbooked and it was chaos, we had to wait for 2 hours to go on quads and it didn’t take the whole hour as they had to rush to get another group in before sunset. There are other companies there to book with, I won’t be booking with this one again. The tour guides are great but the company is badly organised.

We had an amazing time. Our guide Leroy was brilliant. We travelled all over the dunes (spectacular) He was an amazing guide, checking for our skill levels and making sure we had a good time. He took pictures and video for us (Great photographer)! The bikes we rode were fantastic. Would highly recommend.

The WildX tour operators are so disorganized. We were a group of 12 and we arrived 30min prior our booking time as advised. We sorted out the admin and we were ready to ride at 16h00, which was our booking time. We were made to wait another 30min at the entrance of the dunes as our bikes were not ready. They let other smaller groups go in front of us as few bikes became available. By the time we headed out, our ride was only 40min instead of 60min. We immediately complained to our tour guide that he cut our time short but he simply laughed it off. I went to the booking office to complain but the lady there also did not remedy the situation. There's no manager that coordinates the operations and it's just chaos from when you arrive. Exceptionally poor customer experience. We all enjoyed the experience of riding on the dunes, but I would not recommend WildX Tour Operators.

It was a very amazing experience.The guides were very kind and helpful . Picture wise they are excellent. I would definitely come back and recommend this to friends and family.Leeroy was extremely kind and helpful.

Just had the most thrilling family adventure quad biking across massive sand dunes! 💨 The rush of speeding over the white hills was incredibly exciting, the views were absolutely picturesque (endless dunes stretching to the horizon!), and my whole family had a blast laughing and racing together. Highly recommend for an unforgettable day out!

Excellent afternoon well spent. Nice tour guides. Session should be 90 min at minimum though to give ample time to enjoy the ride.

Absolutely disgusting service. Although the Guides cannot be blamed. It was bought to our attention that the owner, referred to as Mr Johnnie, deducted an amount of R5000 from 7 guides for accidents that occured. I'm talking about clients who had minor accidents where no damage was caused. Apparently, according to numerous staff members he deducted R5000 for each incident from the guide. Some of them only earn this amount or slightly more. This meant they spent Xmas with no food for their families. Needless to say that an indemnity is signed stating that the client is liable for any damages incurred during a guided trip. I understand why staff are now not wanting to take trips out because they scarred something happens and then they go a month without any food for their family. They are wonderful humans, mainly Zims and malawians. He needs to be stopped and I for one am not going to stop before I see him behind Bars. These gentlemen are expected to be at work 6am sometimes only finish 8pm 7 days a week and only if lucky get Xmas day off. News papers, city of cape town, saps, I am going to make all aware of his racism, and misconduct. When I asked for his contact details staff members are to scared to provide them. It is an absolute disgrace that someone is allowed to get away with this.
