Tandem Paragliding Flight

Absolutely amazing experience and service. I booked this on a whim and was so glad I did. The weather was perfect, the view amazing and the experience one not to be missed. The booking process was seamless and the pilot excellent at what he did. Definately add the media package on becasue these guys know the best shots to take! The flight lasted at least 15 minutes and was well worth the money!

Fly Cape Town Paragliding was Awesome! Great communication with myself and my fiance' to schedule. The instructors and pilots were all great people and made our experience special. Jumping off of Signal Hill and ending up oceanside down below is an experience we won't forget and absolutely repeat with this team.

My 18 and 15 year old did this in Cape Town on Signal Hill. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Both kids felt extremely comfortable and safe the entire time. It was a beautiful day and they absolutely loved it. Highly recommend.

I’m giving this a one-star review because I’m deeply disappointed. The entire experience was a rushed waste of time and money. My flight was barely 5-6 minutes—just a couple of quick turns over Signal Hill, a few over the ocean, then we landed. I hardly realized I was in the air before it was over. Prep was also minimal—just a minute filling a form and basic instructions. I expected at least 15-20 minutes of flying and taking in the view, but it felt like this was just a photo op for quick snapshots. If you want to truly enjoy a flight, this isn’t it.

I was apprehensive about the safety of paragliding but this company were very good and I felt it was safe. You obviously have to sign lots of disclaimers but the equipment was good and Halil who was doing the flying, he filled me with confidence, thanks Halil!! There isn't a safety briefing or anything and take off instructions were brief and rushed but I wasn't worried and it was well worth it because the experience is incredible and shouldn't be missed! For us, it was windy and cloudy, not the conditions we had wanted but I would still recommend such an incredible opportunity to do something I couldn't ordinarily!

What an experience! The instructor (Mehmet) was an amazing person to fly with. His energy prior to the flight was relaxed and reassuring which is great for inexperienced people. Besides that the guy flew everywhere in the world and you notice his passion which is awesome to see and exactly what you want in an instructor. Besides that the flight itself was exhilarating. The moment that your feet leave the ground and you realize youyr flying feels unreal. After that you're just smiling all the way down. If I'm back in Cape Town I'll definitely do this again.

Summary: There are other more organized & efficient companies - rather book there. These guys left a group of us tourists waiting for our jump - after hiking up Lions Head. Unfortunately communication of today’s cancellations was disastrous. Howard basically ditched us on Lions Head. He only explained when we called that he wasn’t coming back up. We were initially booked for 01.01.2026 at 15:00 and cancelled due to wind speeds on signal hill. Rebooked to 02.01.2026 at 12:00 where wind speeds were problematic on signal hill. We were advised to hike up Lions Head and wait - we watched as others took off and were told to wait for pilots to land and they would walk back up to fetch us. We waited & waited & waited up there and eventually I called. This is when I was told pilots aren’t coming back. So if I had not called we would’ve waited even longer, in the rain, on the mountain watching others take off. We walked down 14:30. Please don’t treat customers like inanimate objects - we need communication & updates especially if cancellations are being decided. This was beyond unprofessional & unacceptable. At least have the decency to walk up to the customers / a give us a phone call timeously to advise us of cancellations. Yes, the weather is not in your control - but you shouldn’t just ditch people without prompt communication of cancellation.

Halil was an amazing, considerate, patient and professional resource in every sense of the word. Gerrie, was such an brilliant pilot, awesome, awesome awesome. Collectively the group, company, were such great human beings - let alone pilots and flight guides. No worries with this outfit. Don't doubt, these are the people. Just note, this is all weather dependent, and if you are prepared to wait , this crew will make it happen. Completely worth all weather delays.

When I say amazing I mean it, from the friendly, knowledgeable, and incredible pilot.. yes pilot well worth it. From someone deatly afraid of heights, I was comfortable and put at ease, and definitely not scared at all, in fact I just might take up the sport. If you feel disappointed with weather conditions please just wait it out after all it's Cape Town the weather will be in your favor at any given time. Massive shout out to Halil, thank you for igniting my passion for flying.

Amazing paraglide with Khalil. My tour guide had informed Malvern about my interest in wanting to do a paraglide. Malvern contacted me to arrange a suitable time and the whole process was seamless. On the day of the paraglide, safety instructions are provided and I was in safe hands with my guide Khalil. The whole experience is just phenomenal and breathtaking taking.

What a terrific experience. Incredibly well organized and the pilots are all excellent. My pilot/ instructor Aloise was superb. Absolutely safe and easy peasy. Will do it again for sure.

One of the best experiences ever!! All of us loved it, it’s a very unique way to see Cape Town from high up in the sky!! The staff was so friendly, the communication was very good and everything was organized very well. Would recommend everyone to do it, even if you have a fear of heights, it’s a very nice experience (and actually not scary at all!!). Thanks a lot to this company, we will come back to do it again one day!

I was very nervous going into this until I met Khalil and Howard who were the people preparing my flight. One thing I need to note if you go to Fly Cape Town, Khalil was my flight partner, he explained everything in a calm tone, he made me feel safe and sure that everything is okay and I should not panic, not like those people who yell what you can and cannot do. I think that was great that he was assertive, calm but also welcoming in his approach. I want to do this every Friday hahaha. It was so so lovely. Feeling the air softly rush around me was the most amazing feeling. The landing was spectacular as well. It was great. The people who run this also communicate all the time as it is weather dependent. I was worried they might not communicate but they are responsive and flexible. Thanks to everyone who made my flight great and special thanks Khalil (I hope I'm spelling his name right, he was really really nice).

We’d had a couple of aborted attempts to fly high, due to the weather conditions - the wind - changing without too much warning. And so it was that our re-arranged 12pm lift off was disrupted once more and brought forward by an hour - ‘The wind’s getting up again. Can you get here now ? If you don’t, you won’t fly’ was the urgent sounding voice and instruction on the other end of the phone. Less than a kilometre away suggested Google maps, but this was going directly ‘up’ from Seapoint. As it was, it took us a very concentrated 20 minutes to traverse the mountain by car and arrive at the meeting point atop Signal Hill…whereupon we parked up and concurrently, got kitted out whilst signing the all important indemnity form. Moments later - literally - we were aloft. It’s an altogether exhilarating experience, if not a little disconcerting being at the mercy of the elements. My pilot - experienced and reassuring - decided on a straightforward, linear descent, which in practise meant we were in the air for less than 5 minutes. Other pilots ‘dared’ to meander a little, but that only added on 90 seconds or so. The views are great, not least, those looking down directly on the Seapoint infrastructure. £70 ( + £20 if you want photographic evidence of your flight, which we did ! ) ! Worth it ? It’s not ‘thrilling’ in the skydiving sense but as a 3rd or 4th ‘best’ option, then ‘yes’ !

My friends and I raised money for a 50th birthday present and when I went online to pay for the voucher (voucher was emailed over at 22:38) I realised that I had no idea if the company was legit or operating and as I was responsible for all the money Id better check. I looked for their online activity for evidence that they were still operating and couldn't find any Instagram posts in the past 3 years. I was worried so I clicked on the number across the front of the website and asked them if they were still operational. I didnt expect an immediate response of course. I got a response and it was very rude. They were angry that I had messaged so late and were very unpleasant. And still no reassurance. Unless you can pay in person be careful making any online payments.

The flight was amazing, great views and a great pilot. I definitely recommend this, if one wants to enjoy their visit in Cape Town.

On a perfect Cape Town day, barely a breath of wind and a cloudless sky, our family of six had fantastic flights with the three tandem pilots from Fly Cape Town Paragliding. The views on the way down were amazing and at all times we all felt so safe. Highly recommended for any visitor to Cape Town.

Was lucky to be around when the wind direction was favorable and there happened to be an open time slot available that suited me to have the unique experience of tandem paragliding over Cape Town from Signal Hill. It was a beautiful sunny day and the views and flight were spectacular. Tandem Paragliding and Jake were excellent and flexible to work with and kept me informed about flying opportunities. Suggest adding on the option to the package to get the pictures and video from a handheld GoPro for awesome memories. Enjoyed something that I haven't had access to before. Would strongly recommend them if you are inclined to try this experience.

A little daunting when you get to the top, a lot going on all around. But when we met the pilots all was great, they were friendly, helpful and for those who were a little nervous, reassuring. The flight was excellent, really easy and you could learn and try or just sit there and take in the view.

Amazing experience! We booked via Whatsapp message and got a spot for the next morning from Signal Hill (easy to get to via Uber). Well organized, great pilots, and a beautiful flight. Amazing to see Cape Town from the sky and felt so safe yet exhilarating. Also loved the photos and videos. For 300 rand, the pilot will take a go pro camera and take some fun pics. Take closed toe shoes for the 30 seconds of running off the cliff at the beginning.

This was a gift for our 18 and 17 year old sons. They had an amazing time! Stephan and Alois gave them an experience to remember for the rest of their lives. We spent the time chatting with Eddy up top who was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the sport/career they have all chosen. Overall it was an excellent choice to go with this group at Fly Cape Town. We will definitely recommend them to friends.

I had such a great glide! Parking & bathrooms at the top of Signal Hill. My glide got moved around a few time because the weather at the mountain can change in an instant but they were very communicative via WhatsApp on the status of my glide. My paraglide was with Brett-he is AWESOME! Inspiring and fun to talk to. Great experience, had some butterflies about the initial jump but they talk you through everything! DO IT!!

Great experience! The wind was low but they still made the most of it. My boyfriend who wasn‘t paragliding was driven down so we could meet after the flight. I also got some great videos and pictures

Fly Cape town were brilliant. I was a bit hesitant about the activity but the guys put me at ease. They were very professional, safety focused and relaxed. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that is thinking of trying paragliding. It was the best thing that I done during my visit to Cape town.

Believe the reviews and go for it! From my research, this looked like the the best company to go with. After booking, their ommunication was more than I expected (great!) and their professionalism & customer service were objectively much better than the 4-6 other companies operating off Signal Hill. I was apprehensive, but enjoyed it. My 78 year old mom lived her best life & absolutely loved it. Can’t recommend it enough!

Fly Cape Town Paragliding has my highest recommendation 🪂🪂🪂. The view over Signal Hill is fantastic, and the surge of excitement is amazing. I'd want to thank the pilot, Stephan Kruger, for being an excellent pilot and motivating me to think about getting a paragliding license 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿.

To say my heart was pounding the entire time up until flight is an understatement. I kept asking myself why in the heck I was doing this to myself. 😂 But they paired me with one of the best instructors ever - Fanie. He was super patient and walked me through everything. In full transparency, as we were preparing for flight, my body just sank to the ground out of nowhere. We got tangled up with parachute cords so we had to do the prep again, then we were off to a smooth flight. It was truly a highlight of my trip ... I am grateful I stuck it through and did it.

He and I had such a wonderful flight, being silly up there, going higher and higher, but safety first, always ! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this exquisite experience. After a false start on Tuesday due to the weather Safety comes first! Four of us got out for tandem flights with Eddie and the gang on Wednesday afternoon in the gorgeous afternoon sun. A great experience for all … adults and teens! We had fantastic views over Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, the waterfront and then the sea’s edge! The pilots were particularly good with the teenagers inflight! Just an all round WOW!

My wife and I really enjoyed it. Probably the closest thing to flying I'll ever experience. I initially thought that I would be too heavy to do tandem paragliding, being 6'1" and weighing 230lbs (about 105kg for non-Americans). But I wasn't. I was under the weight limit by a small margin. I think the limit is 250lbs for one person if I'm not mistaken. I could be wrong. My instructor was about my size so the both of us working together made my experience so much fun. And the workers seem to really love doing what they do for a living. Such a fun environment. The next time I'm in Cape Town, I'll definitely do it again.

It was absolutely amazing. I have a physical disability, and they took care to make me feel comfortable. They organized a team that could run in my stead for take-off. We did have to wait a while for the wind to change, but their friedly staff kept us updated all the way and made sure we were comfortable. On the ground, they also had a team ready to assist me, and the pilot was also very cosiderate. They take amazing photo's and make sure that you are not nervous and feel safe the entire flight. I would definitely recommend them. 110/100.

From the time I arrived on the mountain, I was assisted by the most joyful and professional team. Paperwork was explained to me prior to filling out. Very seamless. Pilot was friendly and knowledgeable. Made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The actual experience was amazing. It’s truly something special seeing CT from above. 10/10- would recommend!

Went with my wife and waited for 2hours until we get our tern. Finally, we got told that we have only one pilot, and I went down by taxi. Waste of time and unprofessional staff. Really really bad
