We hiked the Kasteelspoort trail with Aabi, highly recommend the trail and Aabi as a guide. He has been nominated by the tourism board to learn German, is super knowledgable of the peninsula and we had some good laughs. It was a challenging hike, he made sure everyone in the group was happy with the pace!

Great trip with Joel. Joel is an excellent tour guide with great knowledge. He showed us the world of plants and was completely attentive to our needs. We will never forget the day we spent with him!
We had a great time during the hike and our guide was amazing!!! Thank you Matt for everything!!! Greeting from Brazil!!
We came from Brazil wanting to climb the Table Mountain, but we didn’t knew how the trail was, so we booked the guided trail. Matt was the guide who accompanied us to the top, and it was totally worth it! Such a nice guy and a wonderful company for the trip, explaining all the questions we had along the way. We went in a slow pace, stopping once a while to see the views and take photos without any rush at all, absolutely recommend it :)
Absolutely incredible experience!! Matt is so knowledgeable and was an exceptional guide- made it fun, challenging, and pointed out so many beautiful things along the way. Highlight of our trip. Cannot recommend enough!!!
Incredible and perfect day!!! Matt was such a thoughtful and informative guide. He knew the routes well, made it fun and easy for us, and pointed out so many beautiful things along the way. Could not recommend this tour more highly!!! Absolutely fantastic and memories we will have forever
First class. Can not recommend Matt and his team highly enough. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and gave us an experience we would have never had on our own. Thank you
I did a private tour with Matt Fletcher through Kirstenbosch Garden, up Skeleton Gorge and on to Table Mountain, going down the cable car. It was wonderful! Matt is very knowledgeable about the flora and could answer all my questions. I’m a petite, solo female traveler and felt very safe. 10/10 would book again.
Matt is an excellent guide! Unfortunately for my wife and I, the weather did not go our way: strong winds and significant runoff from recent rains. We got about halfway up elevationwise—to the top of the ladders—but had to turn back due to the winds and high water levels. Matt gave us a detour on a contour trail to a rockslide so we could get our steps in and a nice view. We then returned to the gardens, our starting point, where Matt gave us a nice tour and lunch at the restaurant there. If you like hot chocolate, theirs is excellent! He then drove us to the front of the mountain at the base cable car station. The winds were howling! The cable car was not running. Even on a nice day, this is a very strenuous hike. If we made it all the way, it would have been over six miles to the top—the first part that we did accomplish was a relentless climb. If the cable car is not running, it’s a little under two miles down.
For us it was very useful to do the hike guided as there are several possibilities to hike up and part of our route included hiking up a waterfall. Matt was very well prepared for the hike including water and snacks for everyone - and even magically made a lunch out of his bag appear that we enjoyed at the best view spot of the hike (cheese, crackers, strawberries etc). Also Matt shared a lot of interesting insights about flora and fauna but also let us enjoy the hike in silence when necessary.
The “Boss” Mathew was fantastic,he knew the right trail to use & we arrived at the top knowing everything about the nature & geology around us,he pointed out various land marks & as we got higher he provided refreshments,I’m sure he was monitoring our breathing etc we felt really safe as he was well in control, thank you Mathew for a great experience.
Matthew was absolutely amazing. From the beginning we made some changes to the plan and he was willing to go with the flow and help us best figure out what would work for our party. Throughout the hike he was not only knowledgeable but so very kind and encouraging. No matter how many breaks I needed or how many times I stopped he was always patient and I hope to do more guided hikes and biking trips with him in the future.
We had planned the Tabletop Mountain since last year. Fortunately we had a beautiful day! Our guide Kirsten was incredible! Tough hike but worth it for the view!
ONE OF THE BEXT EXPERIENCE FROM OUR WHOLE TRIP. My Husband and I booked a private tour with matt and he was just the best person to do this with. We wanted to do more than just go to the top of the mountain and look, we wanted something a little less touristy and traditional. This is exactly what we got! :) Out tour started with a walk trough the the Kirstenbosch Garden, then on to the the base of Table Mountain to start our hike. It was incredibly scenic and Matt is VERY knowledgeable about the mountain, surrounding areas and and history, Just a great guide and company during the total of 4-5 hours we spent together. Out tour ended at the top of the mountain at the lookout point, got a bite to eat and a beer to refuel before headed back down on the train, and dropped off at our hotel. I cant recommend this tour enough!!
The hike was a highlight of our trip. Matt was very professional, knowledgeable and made the whole experience very enjoyable.
We had a great experience during our ascent of Table Mountain! Our Guide, Matt, picked us up at 8am, which was perfect to avoid the heat. The hike lasted 2.5 hours and was certainly tough. But the view from the top was absolutely spectacular and worth every effort. For the way back we used the cable car, which was a wonderful way to end our adventure. In short, a must-do if you are in the area! Good guidance, a challenging hike and a beautiful view make this an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!
