Itinerary
Soon after pick up at your accommodation in Cape Town and surrounds we will take a drive through the city centre where you tour guide will point out historical monuments and museums on a city orientation tour. Our first stop will be in the Bo-Kaap, (Cape Malay Quarter), for a memorable photo with the colourful houses. Here stories about these historical homes and the heritage of the locals whose families originated from Indonesia and Malaysia.
Take a drive to one of the new seven wonders of Nature and a definite must see - our glorious Table Mountain. Upon our arrival at the Cable car station we take the cable car to the top of the mountain for a guided tour. In case of unfavourable weather conditions, we will visit Table Mountain as our final destination for the day. Please note: Table Mountain cableway is weather permitting. Note that Table Mountain cable car tickets are excluded from our tour price. We recommend clients to pre-purchase Table Mountain tickets online to skip the ticket line and proceed straight to the boarding queue for the cable car.
After our memorable experience at Table Mountain, we drive along the Atlantic seaboard between mountains and oceans, passing coastal suburbs of Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camp's Bay. We stop at Maiden's Cove, one of the most scenic photo stops you will make on this tour. Marvel at the views of the Twelve Apostles and the pristine Camp's Bay Beach, where many a socialite/celebrity from around the world have stopped for a photo or cocktail or meal at the exclusive restaurants and bars.
Stop for an optional cup of coffee at The Village Roast in Noordhoek Farm Village, where many a coffee lover has never been disappointed. Coffee is at guest's own account. We stop at the Chapman's Peak viewpoint where travellers will be amazed at the spectacular view of mountain ranges and endless stretches of oceans. It is little wonder why "Chappies", as it is often referred to by the locals, is one of the most scenic tour routes in the world.
Meet the historical monument of Just Nuisance in Simon's Town. Listen to the charming story of Just Nuisance who made a name for himself in the South African Navy, based in Simon's Town. Known as one of the best beaches for sun bathing and swimming in Cape Town, Boulder's Beach is not only for sun bathers. Boulder's Beach is famous for the presence of the African Penguins colony. Visit these enchanting sea creatures and meet one or two penguins in their natural habitat and along the boardwalk.
Stop at the Cape of Good Hope, undeniably the highlight of all the destinations on your trip to Cape Town. No visit to Cape Town is complete without a photo behind the Cape of Good Hope name board. Listen to interesting stories about the history of the two Beacons of Bartolomeu Dias and Vasco Da Game.
Take a short hike from the Cape of Good Hope to the Cape Point lighthouse or take the Flying Dutchman Funicular. (Fee excluded from tour price.) Cape Point is the official meeting point of the Two Ocean currents: the Cold Benguela and the Warm Agulhas.
From Boulers Beach Penguin Colony we continue with the coastal drive passing small town, Glencairn, Fish Hoek, Clovelly, Kalk Bay, St James, lastly Muizenberg. With time permitting we will stop at Muizenberg beach. Here you are given the opportunity to take a photo with the colourful beach huts. These beach huts are traditionally used as changing rooms for sunbathers and swimmers, and make for a colourful photo.
We return to Cape Town for drop off at your accommodation between 17:30 and 18:00pm. after a beautiful day in the Cape Peninsula.

Excellent tour with Ray. He was very informative and helpful throughout. I’m going with a friend next year will definitely be booking again as it is perfect trip to see around on a short stay in Cape Town again. See you next year Ray.
We had a great day exploring the areas mentioned. Our guide Albert was amazing. He was full of information about the places we visited and more. His lovely manner and sense of fun with photo suggestions all added to the day. Nothing was too much trouble and our flying visit to Cape Town was excellent due to doing this tour. Thank you Albert!
This was probably my most favorite tour of a city’s main sights I’ve ever been on. It takes you to all of Cape Town’s most gorgeous sights along with fun and cute village areas for coffee and snacks/lunch. Ray was a fantastic tour guide who told us all about the history of each place we went to and was just overall very kind and patient. He even dropped us off at Camps Bay instead of our hotel because we loved it so much there! Thanks to this tour, Cape Town is my new favorite vacation destination! If you are considering booking, don’t hesitate.
We had a great tour. Our guide Lucian was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend this tour for visitors.
An absolute must if you visit Cape Town. Basically a highlight reel of the best views and trips the city has to offer. Mind-blowingly beautiful. Massive shout out to Armando. Extremely knowledgable and engaging, super chill, great energy and sense of humour. He made the trip.
Roger, our guide, has been really lovely, friendly and considerate for the whole day trip! Excellent experience! The schedule is very reasonable to cover the most worthwhile visits in one day but not too packed. Even the scene on the drive way is amazing! We are very fortunate to be the only couple guests today and we even enjoyed a private tour.
Our guide, Peter, was very friendly and knowleagable. We had a wonderful day seeing all the sites in the area. This was a perfect way to knock out some of the best landmarks in the area. Our guide made the day very interesting with stories, history and cultural facts all along the way.
CANDY AND ZANE, excellent guide and conductor who made our visit to table mountain, penguins colony and Cape of Good Hope, GORGEOUS! Our best recommendation of both to anyone interested. You will also love it !!!
We had an absolutely fantastic Cape of Good Hope tour with Lina and Benny today. From start to finish they were incredibly professional, kind, and welcoming. Lina was a wonderful guide — so knowledgeable and engaging — and she made every stop interesting and enjoyable. Benny, our driver, was excellent. We felt completely safe and relaxed the entire day, and his calm, friendly manner added so much to the experience. They brought us to the most amazing restaurant for lunch, which was such a highlight, and they gave us plenty of time at each location so we could really enjoy the beauty of every stop along the way. Nothing felt rushed and they were so accommodating throughout the day. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Cape Town. Lina and Benny made the whole experience feel personal and special. We couldn’t recommend them more highly! Thank you both for such a wonderful day. — Amanda & Conor
Wonderful experience! We saw so much in one day. We had run into a longer time spent at Table Mountain than expected but our tour guide Isaac, still was able to get us to all the spots without missing a thing, which we really appreciated!
Jean-Claude was a very knowledgeable guide and great company. For me it was incredible to take in Table Mountain, Chapman’s Peak Drive, Cape of Good Hope & Cape Point all in the one day. The scenery throughout was spectacular and at many points breathtaking. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. Ronan Ireland
We were really lucky with our guide Jeff who is a very smart, friendly, helpful and knowledgeble guy. It has been a pleasure to discover his native Cape region through his interesting explanations and his kind presence. Absolutely recommendable !!!
This was the most wonderful tour because of our tour guide. Alex. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He was especially helpful in getting us to the cable car as there were a lot of people waiting to get on for the ride up the mountain.
Cape Town is beautiful as there are many sights to see but Table Mountain is probably the most breathtaking. The city seen from such high up is amazing. Taking the cable car was fun and very revealing. And of course, driving through town to reach Table Mountain is itself a sightseeing tour. Our driver Ray made that happen as he was very knowledgeable, not only of the places we went to, but of the histories and back-stories of the many African people's cultures in South Africa. He is very very multilingual so he's able to convey the tour very well. Above all, he was very courteous and kind as well as professional. It was evident he was known by the locals around the places we visited and he vibed with eberyone.
There were 9 of us plus the guide so a nice small group. We had a lot to pack in to the day so we were given a time to be back at the minibus at each stop which was helpful. Generally the time allowed was sufficient though I think all of us would have liked a little longer at the penguin colony. Our guide Yomi was knowledgeable and fun, teaching us some of her click language. The restaurant in SimonsTown where we were taken for lunch was unfortunately not the best. Where entrance tickets were required we were able to pay the guide at the end of the trip which was helpful, with the exception of the Table Mountain cable car which you have to buy yourself. We bought these in advance to save queuing on the day.
I couldn’t recommend this tour more—thanks to our wonderful guide and driver, Ray. What might seem to be an exhausting day of activities flew by, and we were so glad we did it. Alongside his great sense of humor, Ray was very knowledgeable about the area and answered all of our questions cheerfully. The tour was also well-paced, allowing us less or more time for each stop depending on our wishes. Thanks, Ray, for a great introduction to the Cape!
The tour was great and as described. We visited wonderful places. The guide Armando is so knowledgeable and funny. Tour is recommended.
Albert is very friendly and adds great historical knowledge to the trip. He did his absolute best to make sure we got the most out of the day. He also added in a bit of humour, which went down well. My group was a little quiet, so Albert's enthusiasm created a comfortable atmosphere. Be ready to get around quickly as there is a lot to fit in the day. My only suggestion to Kasa, would be to add more time at table top mountain and less time at the lighthouse/lunch. Table top is one of the main highlights, and 20 to 30 minutes more would really make the difference on a day with great weather. An amazing trip around the coast, so try and pick a day with sunny weather, as the views are stunning.
The tour guide, who also served as our driver, was outstanding. He was impeccably punctual, exceptionally knowledgeable, and consistently courteous, and he made every moment of the trip feel seamless and enjoyable. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, answered questions with patience, and shared thoughtful insights that enriched our experience. I would highly, wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking a flawless, memorable tour.
I had a great experience exploring all the must-see spots around Cape Town. Wilson was incredibly knowledgeable and professional throughout the tour. The hotel pick-up and drop-off service made everything even more convenient. Highly recommend!
If you are looking for an efficient way to cover the top sights in the Capetown area, this is it. Be prepared for a very long day in a van where you will often feel rushed with a short stop and then get back in the van for the next long drive. Still, it is worth it as you will get to visit the amazing Table Mountain, spend time observing the African Penguins at Boulders Beach, and enjoy the stunning views from Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope.
Pick up at our hotel wason time. Very informative tour guide. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend this tour.
I only had a day to explore Cape Town and this was a great tour to pack in several of the key landmarks in and near the city. Absolutely beautiful.
With a short visit This is the tour to take ! It couldn’t have been better. Our guide and driver made everything smoooooth … thumbs up
We had a great day! It was nice to be able to fit all of the sites into a single day with a knowledgeable tour guide! We would highly recommend it.
This all-day trip is the easiest way of hitting almost all the tourism highlights of Cape Town. Fog kept us off Table Mtn, but the guide and driver worked hard and explained all. A long day, but great photos!
The tour is very well planned and timed by Reagan, our knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide. The tour started on time, and went smoothly. We managed to see some of the major attractions of Cape Town along with a ride to the Cape Point and the colony of penguins. The ride was comfortable with a small group of 11 people. Reagan had encyclopedic knowledge of the history of South Africa and the history related to the sites and attractions around the Cape. The only disappointment was the weather which did not allow us to go up and do the Table Mountain cable car ride. We highly recommend Reagan!
We enjoyed our day tour and the many stops to see the highlights of Cape Town in one day. If you do not have too much time in the area, this is a great way to see lots of interesting points and learn more about the location. Plenty of opportunities to take lovely pictures. The group was small (12 people) which made things more personal. Mini bus was comfortable with many stops and a few toilet breaks. Ticket prices for attractions were not included in the tour cost so if there is any element of the tour you did not want to do, (apart from the national park fee) there is no expectation but you may just need to wait for others though if you skip something. The lunch stop was good food and we enjoyed the commentary and information shared by Shafiek Dreyer who was very welcoming and friendly. Would recommend this tour :)
From beginning to end, we couldn’t fault it. Our tour guide Ray was exceptional. Very knowledgeable. We had a fantastic day. The sun shone, we had a clear day for the views at table mountain, we missed the crowds and had a lovely lunch on Simon’s town. The penguins were very entertaining and not smelly in the slightest. Great value for money. The only slight disappointment was the delay at the entrance to the national park, they’d had a power cut and didn’t take cash. Otherwise a fantastic day!!
The tour is amazingly planned and timed by Reagan, our tour guide.... He is very knowledgeable and all around considerate and helpful... We had a jam packed day with many things to see and enjoy in Cape Town... We considered ourselves very lucky to be in this small group tour with Reagan as our guide
Chris was so great and friendly and knowable It was fun, see new things and meet new ppl. Learned so much too
Amazing tour with an amazing guide, Ray! Prompt pick up. Clearly very knowledgeable about SA as a whole. Very friendly and simply available. Highly recommend him and his company!
We had a fantastic time on this tour. Our guide Ray was so personable, engaging & informative. I could tell that he really loved providing the very best experiences for his guests. Everywhere he brought us was beautiful & was definitely a do not miss place to visit. I highly recommend this tour with Ray. You will love it.
From the time Ray picked us up at the hotel the whole tour was brilliant. Ray was informative & shared lots of info about the area during the trip. We arrived at the Table Mountain cable car early (best time to go to avoid the queues), the process was slick and the cable car with the rotating floor was the smoothest I’ve ever been in! We stopped off at a Camps Beach followed by an ice cream stop. Into Cape Hope National Park (bit of a queue due to the electricity being down & the credit card machine not working!) to Cape Point & the Cape sign, saw lots of seals an elan & ostriches. Simon’s Town for lunch then to Boulders beach to see the penguins. Drove back through Bo-Kaap with the colourful houses. We had water provided on the trip, the mini bus was cool, clean & comfortable. I would definitely recommend this tour, the company & the guide.
Our driver/ guide Ray was truly outstanding he was very knowledgeable, extremely friendly, helpful, patient and kind . The itinerary is reasonably hectic but never, at any point, did we feel rushed or hurried! Ray used his expertise to streamline the tour, avoiding queues, traffic and hassle! Ray provided fabulous insight not only into the sights we visited but numerous other local customs and traditions! Even the negotiations of cows & goats for his impending marriage!! We wish him and his family the best of luck and future success, and sincerely thank him for a truly memorable experience! Needless to say, we 500%+ recommend this tour and agency!!
I didn't like the we had to order before we got to restaurant. The guide only showed half the menu. Once we got to the restaurant and saw that they had other stuff to order we was not aloud to change our order. The food was horrible.
Our tour guide was incredible. Sylvia went out of her way to make the trip an amazing experience. We had bad weather and table mountain was closed for most of the day, but at the end of our trip it opened back up and she made sure we made it there before it closed! After we were dropped off at our hotel, we realized we left our camera in the van and they came back to our hotel and dropped it off! Even though it was cold and rainy, we had a marvelous time and highly recommend to anyone going to Cape Town!
Very enjoyable tour. The tour operator (Armand) was very well educated and very friendly. He shared with us a lot of informations about the visited places: geography, history, zoology and botany. We had a very pleasant visit. It was money well spent.
Our tour was amazing. We booked with Bukuru travel. We were picked up by our hotel in the morning and joined the group in a mini bus. We were all from different parts of the world. Our tour guide Kiss was full of energy he was was very passionate, knowledgeable and attentive to details, He told us about the history of South Africa and we learnt so much. We visited monuments in the city centre. We saw Bokaap, maidens cove, The 12 Apostles. Chapmans peak. Cape point and Penguins. In the National park we saw Baboons and Ostriches. Thanks to kiss for being patient with us. We highly recommend this to anyone.
Ray was a fantastic guide. He provided a lot of good history on South Africa. He was very flexible when we wanted to spend more time on Table Mountain and move the order of the attraction visits around
Ray was fantastic! He gave us a lot of history and interesting information about South Africa and was very flexible when we wanted to spend more time on Table Mountain or change the order of visiting the penguins around.
Table Mountain, Cape Town Peninsula, Cape Point, Cap of Good Hope. Pick up at the Cruise Terminal 1 hour later than planned, with info... At Table Mountain 45 minutes waiting time before we could climb the gondola. Very nice view, very good weather. We had just left the mountain station, the guide calls, to go back down to the valley, otherwise the schedule cannot be adhered to. We don't accept that. 5 minutes later new call, another guide takes over the tour. We can stay on Table Mountain for a maximum of 30 minutes. That was not what we imagined. Grade 6! Again at the valley station the new guide was actually waiting. It was a good trade. A beautiful tour of the Cape Peninsula, no time pressure
We had booked the excursion with the option "pick up from Lagoon Beach Hotel"! Unfortunately, that was not the case! The night before about 11:12 p.m. came a message via whatts app that the meeting point is in Cape Town, and we need to take a taxi from the hotel around 7:10 a.m. to be in Cape Town by 8:00 a.m. To receive a message at such short notice 8 hours before, we found an imposition! Otherwise, the trip was worthwhile. 2 hours Waiting time on Table Mountain must be planned. In the evening we were only very late back, had to organize ourselves a taxi to our hotel. The guide did it too!
Extensive excursion with an excellent driver/guide. In the morning the cable car to table mountain was closed due to the wind. But thanks to the guide we were still able to go up at the end of the trip.
Explore Cape Town's main attractions on this tour. It is efficient and recommended because you can use it for a whole day and go to various places. Table Mountain ropeway tickets must be purchased online in advance. Other locations will be purchased locally. I think you should take cash as well as credit cards. The hotel pick-up was also on time. Personally, from the beginning, I thought it would be easier if the price included various admission fees and so on, because I didn’t have to take money on the day.
Passeio perrfeito!! Tempo totalmente aproveitado!!! Momentos altos: visita ao Cabo da Boa Esperança ....é emocionante!! Praia dos Pinguins....são fofos demais!! Tablet Mountain ...não dá para acreditar que o ser humano , fez tudo aquilo!
We got a good overview of the main sights and now know that you simply need much more time than one day for Cape Town. 😉
