Itinerary
We offer free hotel pickup and drop-off from any accommodation within a 10km radius of Cape Town city center, between 7:00–8:00 AM. Your exact pickup time, professional guide’s name, and vehicle details (including license plate) will be sent to you the day before via WhatsApp or email. You’ll travel in style and safety aboard a luxury Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or Toyota Quantum GL, equipped with air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, USB ports, reclining leather seats, parcel shelves, onboard fridge, and cold bottled water. Your day begins with a short but insightful Cape Town city orientation tour. As we drive through the vibrant CBD, your guide will point out major landmarks like Bo-Kaap, the Castle of Good Hope, Parliament, District Six, and the Company’s Garden, sharing powerful stories of the city’s colonial, apartheid, and cultural past—giving you a richer understanding of the Cape’s beauty and complexity.
We begin with a stop in the Bo-Kaap, Cape Town’s most photogenic and culturally rich neighborhood. Stroll through the cobbled streets surrounded by brightly painted homes in every shade of the rainbow—a true Instagram hotspot. But Bo-Kaap is more than just pretty houses. This vibrant area is the heart of the Cape Malay community, whose ancestors arrived from Indonesia, Malaysia, and East Africa during the Dutch colonial era. Your guide will share deep insights into the area's Islamic heritage, call to prayer, mosques, and the enduring legacy of its people in shaping Cape Town’s multicultural identity. Discover how Bo-Kaap played a powerful role in anti-apartheid movements, and learn about the traditions, food, and music that still echo through its colorful streets. It’s a must-see for any traveler seeking a meaningful connection with the city’s past and present.
Next, we visit Table Mountain, one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature and Cape Town’s most iconic landmark. You’ll ascend to the summit via the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway (weather permitting), where 360-degree panoramic views of Cape Town, Robben Island, and the Atlantic Ocean await. At the top, your guide will share fascinating insights into the mountain’s unique flora, fauna, and geological wonders—some dating back millions of years. If the weather isn’t suitable in the morning, we’ll adapt and try again later in the day to give you the best chance to experience this natural marvel. Please note: Cable car tickets are not included in the tour price. To skip long lines and secure your seat, we strongly recommend purchasing tickets online in advance. ️ Ticket prices: Adults R420 | Children R210 We will send you the official link the day before the tour so you can purchase tickets online. Don’t forget your camera—this is one of Cape Town’s most Instagrammable spots
From the summit of Table Mountain, Robben Island appears as a low-lying silhouette in Table Bay, offering a powerful visual perspective on the isolation of the former prison where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated. This aerial vantage point allows visitors to contrast the breathtaking natural beauty of the "Mother City" with the poignant history of the island's role in South Africa’s struggle for democracy.
From Table Mountain, we begin a breathtaking coastal drive along Cape Town’s famous Atlantic Seaboard, often called the "Millionaire’s Mile." Pass through the chic suburbs of Bantry Bay, Clifton, and Camps Bay, each known for their luxury homes, palm-lined promenades, and turquoise waters. We’ll pause at Maiden’s Cove, a prime lookout spot where you can capture postcard-perfect photos of the Twelve Apostles mountain range cascading into the sea. To your right, the sparkling white sands of Camps Bay Beach offer one of the most iconic backdrops in South Africa—ideal for your Instagram-worthy moment. With dramatic scenery, fresh ocean air, and the sound of crashing waves, this stretch is a highlight for any visitor to Cape Town.
Get ready for a truly unforgettable experience as we journey along Chapman’s Peak Drive, one of the most scenic coastal routes in the world. This cliff-hugging masterpiece between Hout Bay and Noordhoek offers 114 curves of jaw-dropping beauty carved into the mountainside. We’ll stop at the Chapman’s Peak viewpoint, where you’ll be “wowed” by panoramic views of dramatic cliffs, towering mountain ranges, and endless ocean horizons where waves crash against rugged rocks and pristine white-sand beaches. It’s a photographer’s dream and a moment to pause, breathe, and appreciate the wild beauty of Cape Town’s Atlantic Coast. This is not just a drive—it’s an iconic experience.
Our next stop is the historic seaside village of Simon’s Town, home to South Africa’s Naval Base. Here, we pause at the beloved Just Nuisance Monument, dedicated to the only dog ever officially enlisted in the Royal Navy. Your knowledgeable guide will share the heartwarming story of this Great Dane who became a local legend during World War II—riding trains, boosting morale, and earning the admiration of sailors and citizens alike. As you explore this charming naval town with its Victorian architecture and harbor views, you’ll gain insight into its maritime legacy and unique characters that shaped its past.
Our next unforgettable stop is Boulders Beach, one of Cape Town’s most beloved attractions—and for good reason. Nestled along the False Bay coastline in the charming naval town of Simon’s Town, this beach is famous for its soft white sand, calm turquoise waters, and most of all, the endangered African penguins that call it home. You’ll walk along wooden boardwalks winding through the Table Mountain National Park Marine Protected Area, offering an intimate view of the penguins in their natural habitat—nesting, swimming, waddling, and even braying like donkeys. This is one of the only places on Earth to see African penguins up close. Your guide will share insightful facts about their behavior, history, and the conservation efforts to protect them. Whether you’re traveling solo, with friends, or family, this stop is always a highlight. Don’t forget your camera! The penguins, ocean, and giant granite boulders make this a picture-perfect moment.
We’ll now enter the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, the crown jewel of the Cape Peninsula and a must-see for any Cape Town visitor. Entry tickets are not included in the tour price, but we’ll send you a convenient link to purchase them in advance, helping you skip the queues and enjoy a seamless experience. This dramatic reserve forms part of the Table Mountain National Park, home to breathtaking landscapes, native fynbos, and incredible wildlife like baboons, ostriches, and antelope. One of the most iconic photo moments of your journey awaits at the famous Cape of Good Hope signboard—the southwesternmost point of the African continent. Snap a photo here to mark the moment! Your expert guide will also introduce you to the fascinating maritime history of the reserve, sharing stories of the Bartolomeu Dias and Vasco da Gama beacons, erected to honour the great explorers who first navigated these treacherous waters.
Next, we make our way to the legendary Cape Point Lighthouse, perched atop rugged cliffs with panoramic views over the Atlantic & Indian Oceans. This is one of the most scenic and dramatic viewpoints in all of South Africa, located within the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Most travellers enjoy a short hike up the path to the lighthouse, which rewards you with breathtaking views and fantastic photo opportunities. However, if you prefer not to hike or have limited mobility, your guide will assist you in purchasing a ticket for the Flying Dutchman Funicular—a charming cable railway that carries you safely to the top. Funicular fee not included in tour price; tickets can be purchased onsite. Current price: approx. ZAR 95 per adult, ZAR 50 per child. After exploring, you can choose to enjoy lunch at the famous Two Oceans Restaurant, offering stunning ocean views and fresh seafood, or grab a quick bite at the Cape Point deli before continuing your journey.
Our final stop of the day is the charming and photogenic St James Beach, nestled along Cape Town’s False Bay coastline. Famed for its vibrant, rainbow-colored beach huts, this picturesque seaside village offers a nostalgic glimpse into Cape Town’s beach culture. These wooden huts, originally built in the early 1900s, are still used today by sunbathers and have become iconic symbols of the area—frequently featured in travel magazines and Instagram feeds around the world. Here, you’ll have the chance to stroll along the coastal walkway, dip your toes in the refreshing tidal pool, or simply sit on the rocks and soak in the sea breeze. Your guide will share the history of the beach huts, the community of St James, and the Victorian-era seaside charm that still lives on in this tranquil neighborhood. Whether you're snapping a sunset shot or enjoying the seaside vibe, this peaceful stop is the perfect way to end a day filled with natural wonders, wildlife, and breathtaking landscapes.
As the day draws to a close, we make our relaxing return journey along the scenic coastal roads back to Cape Town. You’ll have a chance to reflect on an unforgettable adventure—filled with majestic mountains, African penguins, sweeping ocean views, and iconic landmarks like the Cape of Good Hope. Our journey back often includes a final drive along the beautiful False Bay coastline, offering one last look at the charming seaside villages and crashing waves that make the Cape Peninsula so unique. We’ll arrive in Cape Town between 17:00 and 18:00, and your driver-guide will ensure you’re safely dropped off at your accommodation within a 10km radius of the city center. Throughout the day, you’ve traveled in style and comfort aboard a luxury Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or Toyota Quantum GL, both equipped with air-conditioning, reclining seats, onboard fridge, USB ports, and ample legroom for your convenience.

Mister Heber was our guide and he was amazing, very helpful, communication, understanding and playful. Made the experience 10 times better. The driver as well, Ghakkem was an excellent driver, made us feel very safe and comfortable.
We were with Lina, it was amazing !! Thank you so much, we really appreciated our experience
The Good: we saw all of the major Cape Town sights in one day, our driver was friendly and knowledgeable, we had great weather and the lunch stop was better than expected in terms of food quality. The Bad: Pickup was over 45 minutes late. In fact, another Beyond Africa Safaris van pulled up right on time, but for another tour and no one had any record of where our pickup was. Given the run around by the driver and management who alternated between “bad traffic”, “he’s almost there” and “actually I can’t find your hotel”. That 45 minute delay carried through and compounded throughout the entire day. We got to each stop at the same time as all of the other tour busses, so waited in huge lines for the Table Mountain cable car, pushing the timeline back even further. We were constantly reminded all day long how late we were running and how we needed to be quick at each stop. A day before the tour we were sent instructions on how to purchase our attraction tickets online. Half the group did, half didn’t, so that caused extra confusion. Additionally, and I’m not sure why this was necessary, our driver wanted us to send him all of our individual tickets, so he could hold them, scan everyone through one by one, just to give them back to us. This caused even more bottlenecking and delays. Why not just let everyone be in charge of their own tickets? Our van was old and uncomfortable. We were stuck in the back row with no recline and no AC in the entire van at all, so it was hot. We were given water bottles but with no AC the water became hot. We were only given one restaurant choice for lunch, probably to try to make up some time. And while the food was better than expected, it was even more chaotic. The restaurant staff kept making us change tables, sit together, no sit separately, stand up so we can push these tables together, stand up so we can separate the tables again. Not relaxing at all. In the end, we arrived back to Cape Town 90 minutes later, but only because as a group we decided to skip the last few photo stops and take the fast route back. Otherwise it probably would have been 2.5 hours. Again, our driver was as nice and accommodating as possible given the circumstances, but overall would not recommend this company to do your day tour with. They need to be able to run on time and operate comfortable vehicles.
Our day started off the wrong foot. Pick up was 45 mins late with lots of sorries but no explanation. Got to Table Mountain 1hr queue, not bad considering the nice day out but our guide was completely lost and disorganized and we ended up being there for over 3 1/2hrs, 1 1/2hrs waiting for her at the bottom of the mountain for who knows what. Downhill after that. Seems we spent the day waiting around and looking for each other on the tour. She was not precise in her instructions and meeting points so kind of felt improvised. Day dragged on we ended up eating lunch at 2:30 and hit the road again. Just made it to Cape Hope before closing time. Finally we skipped BooKap her telling us it was late and dangerous to go walking at that time of the night. We finally were dropped off at our hotel past 8:30pm, tired, hungry and fed up. Missed our dinner reservations and lost our deposit that secured it. Did the same tour last year and it was very good. Got back to our hotel around 6:30. Guide was very good and precise with clear indications for everyone. This year not so. I would find out before hand if they are using experienced guide, otherwise skip it.
I really enjoyed the city tour with Beyond Africa Safaris. It was an enriching and fun experience. Our guide, Gordon, was very friendly and funny, he created such a great atmosphere throughout the city tour. Overall, a great experience!
The day tour was wonderful, hitting all of the spots one might want to see on a day tour in CapeTown. Starting early at Table Mountain was a key to a successful day, avoiding the long lines. Ray was an excellent host with a wealth of knowledge, personable communication, and good sense of humor.
We booked the tour with Ray that covered Bo Kaap, Table Mountain, the penguins and Cape Point. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, pointing out everything to see or that was interesting in the area, and stopped at many places for photos and sightseeing. The lunch spot he recommended was incredible, and the day itself went fast, despite the 7am pickup It's a bit pricey considering the entry prices for the attractions, however the organising of the day was excellent and our guide terrific
Ray was an incredible guide who made our experience perfect from start to finish. I cannot recommend this tour enough.
I 100% recommend this experience! First of all, it would have been very expensive to do the whole trip by Uber, and using public transport would have been impossible. We were able to relax and feel comfortable throughout the journey in the van. And without a doubt, 5 stars for our guide, Ray! He was always making sure we were doing well and feeling comfortable. He planned the itinerary perfectly to help us avoid queues at the places we visited, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. A truly amazing experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!
What a full day of adventure! Noma was an excellent guide throughout the tour. And our driver, better known as, "The Captain," did a wonderful job navigating our group to each destination safely. Couldn't have asked for a better pair!
i had fun, we met people from different countries. it was the best experience ever
We had a wonderful day on this tour....weather was beautiful...we covered lots of ground...our driver/guide Leon ws amazing...worked really hard at making sure evewas comfortable and having a good time...definitely worth the money....quick note...you can pre-buy all of your tickets online...it makes it alot quicker and you don't have to stand in line at the venue...have fun.
A full day - great guide , very lovely & informative - Lina Cracking driver too - Leon
Great communication with tour guide. Weather was no to to visit Table Mountain but he reorganize the tour to make it happen in the afternoon. All areas are perfect to see. Highly recommended.
First of all i’d like to say that the best way to experience the beauty of Capetown is to get into a guided tour , it is word every cent . My tour group had people from Syria , Middle East , Uk and America and oh boy it was the best group ever . We jammed to Arabic music and everyone joined in harmony . It made the entire experience even better . Now drum roll from for our tour guide Talent… WHAT A CHAMP . Thank you Capetown you beautiful city, you can have all my savings, i’ll be back again soon .
Our tour guide Mr Peterson, was very informed about Cape Town and the vast landscape and history! Be mindful of the schedule set by your driver
Unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. We received an email beforehand that we would be picked up at 7.20 am, and the bus was there already at 7, with people waiting in the bus. Then we went to Table mountain, which was caotic. We had fast tack ticket - which the company had recommended that we bought so we could easily get up. But half the group did not have tickets. We were told stricktly to be back after one hour. We were back at that time, at which the persons buying regular tickets were not yet close to the cablecar going up. So we ended having to wait more than two hours in the parking lot before all were down again. It was really frustrating and resulted in the rest of the programme got very hectic and cramped. So overall not the nice tour that we had hoped for. It was really a shame because the weather was perfect for all the sights.
We did a full day tour with Lina and Captain, they were really good and kept us informed and entertained throughout the tour. We covered the major points in one day and still managed to do some shopping in the evening. I will recommend the tour!
We had such a great experience with this small group tour ,Jeffrey our tour guide was awesome. He was knowledgeable of the areas we drove through and took good care of us. He was super punctual ,made sure we saw all the sites that we signed up for and took amazing photos of us at the different sites.Thank you Jeff.keep up the good work.
Exelent guide! Very informative. Beautiful penguins and stunning food at Sea Fort Sad we couldn’t do table mountain, but it will be here for next visit to South Africa
I thoroughly enjoyed my tour with Leon. Despite it being a long day, he kept it lively and educative. I highly recommend.
This was an excellent group tour. The size of the group was 12 people and we used a sprinter van. The driver / guide was Gordon. He was excellent. The tour lasted exactly ten hours. It was worth every penny and we saw all the major sites. In my opinion, it is easiest to book the all-inclusive version of this tour in order to not have to worry about trying to purchase tickets. It made things stress-free. The lunch choice was a high-end restaurant and the food was great. The photos I took on this trip was priceless, and being in the company of others on a group tour is always fun. I had a great time!
We were able to visit many important sites in a one day tour. Very knowledgeable and friendly guide.
Gordon was a fantastic host for the tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable and we stopped at many places along the way to take photos and take in some of the scenery. It was great value for money as we got so much knowledge as well as the expected parts of the tour. Couldn’t recommend this enough! Brilliant for solo travellers or groups as he made us all feel welcome to the group!
Had a great time with everyone in the tour! Our guide Sedick is very passionate, knowledgeable and fun to be with and made the whole journey memorable for us all! Thanks 🙏🏻
Mireille our tour guide was brilliant and so informative and Carl drove perfectly. Amazing day!
We had a great trip! We were picked up at our apartment and looked after really well. Comfortable travel with Kyle driving and our guide Mirelle was fun and had lots of interesting facts for us. Boulders beach was my favourite with all the penguins 🐧 We really enjoyed the trip and would recommend it to anyone! Thanks guys 🥰
Joel was great tour guide. Beautiful scenery and great driver. Got to see everything I wanted to. He picked me up as promised.
I loved every bit of it.. they should try it.. I would love to try this again and again. I’ll bring my friends the next time
It was an amazing tour! We were able to efficiently visit all of Cape Town's major sightseeing spots in a single day. Our tour guide, Mr. Gift, was incredibly kind and shared so many insights about the city's highlights. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cape Town!
Our guide Sylvie was lovely and very professional. She was very punctual, friendly and helpful. And the tour, of course, was a fantastic experience.
Superb tour, friendly, knowledgeable ,welcoming guide, Lina, careful, considerate driver ,Leon, a great experience .disappointing that Table mountain part of the tour didnt happen with high winds stopping the cable car
Lina and Captain were just great!
Nathan is a great guide, he is very smiley and helpful and he is our friend for life. He made our visit to Cape Town fun and educational. Very entertaining, funny and informative. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The tour guide (Nathan) and driver (Bernie) were both great. Witty and knowledgable. The places we visited were well chosen. Well worth it!
Great trip, well planned, excellent guide (Thomas), good timings in each location. Great way to see a great deal in one day from Cape Town. My only criticism was that we had to arrange our own tickets for the various excursions within the tour , eg table mountain cable car, all of which took time and effort and since we all did all the trips I could not see why the company didn’t just book them and charge them in the ticket price, which I would have found easier and more transparent.
This is a very long full day tour! The views from the top of the Mountain were unbelievable! A drive along the coast was very scenic and we loved the stop at Boulder Bay to see the Penguins! They were so cute and I had to drag my wife away! Our guide Tómas was so knowledgeable of the area and the different places we went! He was very helpful and made the excursion worth it! The vehicle was so nice and comfortable! Definitely worth going on!
Great day trip to see all the attractions. The guide was great and I can’t recommend this trip enough!
We had simply an amazing day with Lina and Tash Tash. Lina was so knowledgable about all the sites and history of the area and the vibes were great fun on the bus! Her energy was infectious and she very kindly helped with photographs etc too. We saw everything we wanted to and the day flew by. It was a very full day (around 12 hours door to door) so offered excellent value - alongside the three main attractions, there were plenty of extra stops for photographs. Lena made it clear how to pre-book tickets the night before or helped those who hadn’t done so too, so there was very little in the way of queuing or waiting around. It was a great sized group (around 15 people) and the day was well structured and thought through - there was plenty of time at each spot. Lena and Tash Tash went above and beyond to make the day special, even pulling over to spot baboons, eland and ostrich. 10/10!
Incredible tour visiting all the major attractions and had amazing wether: Bo-Kaap, Table mountain, Chapmans peak drive, Penguins in Boulders beach. Simons town, ate seafood at Berthas. Great proctored by our guide Lina at the Cape of good hope. Hiked up to the Cape point lighthouse and saw two whales and a hurde of dolpinhs!! Spontaneous adventure looking for baboons on our way back. Unfortunately did not stop at Maiden’s cove or St James beach. Best guide and personal photographer Lina and funny driver Thus thus. 10/10 would recommend.
Such amazing tour. Complete also very safe. I strongly recommend the company for being so on time also responsible.
Absolutely Amazing Tour Experience! We had an incredible Table Mountain & Cape Point tour with Sedgwick, and I couldn’t recommend him more! He was fun, knowledgeable, personable, and incredibly informative throughout the entire day. He shared so much interesting history and insight about Cape Town while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable. What I especially appreciated was that he never rushed us. He allowed plenty of time at each stop to take in the breathtaking views, explore, take photos, and truly enjoy the experience. Sedgwick went above and beyond to make the day memorable. If you’re visiting Cape Town and looking for a tour guide who knows his stuff, has a great personality, and genuinely wants you to have an amazing experience — ask for Sedgwick! 🇿🇦❤️ Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Fun and energetic day with Lina and Timothy. Loved being on Table Mountain and Cape of good hope and Cape light house. Lina’s sense of humor helped make it fun.
