We had an amazing tour with Armando today. He took us to Cape of Good hope and back, with lots of fantastic stops along the way. He is extremely knowledge of the areas and his ability to recall dates of significant events is brilliant! We had a great laugh and learnt so much along the way. He is a great tour guide, miss him and miss out!! Thank you Armando. Paul, Jo, Jane and Darren.

Our journey continues along the picturesque coastline and stopping in Hout bay harbor. A long and proud naval tradition is evident where-ever one goes in this port, with its steep cobbled streets, victorian buildings and distinct nautical atmosphere. Simons town was used as winter anchorage for the vessels of the dutch east Indian company after the 1743. After the Second British occupation in 1806, a whaling station made its appearance. in 1814 a new harbor was constructed, and this became the base of the South Atlantic squadron of the royal navy. A statue of the famous great dane, able seaman Just Nuisance, who befriended British sailors during the second world war, stands in Jubilee Square.
boulders beach, site of the only land-based breeding colony of the african penguin(formerly known as the jackass',for its braying call). this popular spot, a unit of table mountain national park, incorporates a boardwalk that allows visitors to observe the penguins from close range without disturbing their nesting sites.
Curving south into the Atlantic ocean like an eroded sickle, the cape peninsula has always presented a fearsome challenge to navigators rounding the tip of Africa. The southern tip, is a place of pounding rollers, howling winds and a storm-lashed coastline, that has claimed many ships down the centuries. The cape of good hope nature reserve covers 7700 ha of coastal scrubland and incorporates some 40 km coastline. A funicular service ferries visitors to the summit of cape point and to its old lighthouse, built in 1860. Far below is the powerful modern lighthouse, which may be reached via a steep zigzag path. the cape-point is also known as the meeting place of the cold Benguela from the Atlantic ocean and the warm Agulhas or Mozambique current from the Indian ocean.
Kalk Bay is a fishing village on the coast of False Bay, It lies between the ocean and sharply rising mountainous heights that are buttressed by crags of grey Table Mountain Sandstone. Kalkbaai (Lime Bay), this derives from the vast deposits of mussel shells found here, which early settlers burned to make lime for construction. Lime kilns to roast mussel shells are still found along the West coast. The railway from the central business district of Cape Town to Simon's Town passes through Kalk Bay and in some places the line is only meters from the water's edge. The town is also renowned for the more than 80 sandstone caves that honeycomb the backing hills.
Muizenberg has a fine, long beach that in effect stretches all the way round the top of False Bay to the Strand, a distance of over 20 km. It is considered to be the main surfing spot in Cape Town and is currently home to a surfing community, centered on the popular Surfer's Corner. False Bay, known for its population of White Sharks, also has a shark watch service that operates from Muizenberg, signaling alerts when sharks come in proximity of bathers at the main beach and surfers at Surfer's Corner. Above Muizenberg there is a line of steep cliffs that is very popular as a venue for rock climbing. However, certain parts of the cliff are off-limits to climbers when birds nest on the ledges.
Our return route is via the main road three (M3) with a drop off at your accommodation in cape town.

We had an amazing day with Armando on the Cape Town to Cape of Good Hope Tour. He is one of the best guides we have ever had - personable, funny, and knowledgeable. He was familiar with the itinerary and knew exactly how long to stay in each place. We never felt rushed. He offered coffee stops and rest room stops - our group had some serious coffee drinkers. He was clear where and when to meet the van and he was always there and looking for us. While the itinerary was great, he really made the tour unforgettable.
We had a fabulous day touring the Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Beach. Armando was a wonderful guide. He was knowledgeable and eager to share but never overbearing. He was also interested in learning from us when we had information to share, and ensuring the info he was sharing was accurate. He brought a great sense of humor and joy to the day. We felt that he was responsive to our interests and never rushed us. He is also a good spotter of wildlife and made sure we had every opportunity to see and photograph the wildlife along the route. Our very full day included beach stops, a walk to the lighthouse, and time with the penguins. The itinerary was great, with plenty of opportunities to get out of the van. Unfortunately we ran out of time to visit Bo Kaap. I guess we will have to return!
Armando was a fantastic driver and guide. He was very knowledgeable and made us all feel welcome and comfortable. He didn't make us stick to a strict schedule, instead giving us the freedom to negotiate how long to stay at each stop and never made us feel rushed. The van was clean and comfortable, and it was a great way to experience some of the sights of Cape Town after a long week at a work conference.
Armando was a fantastic guide! He gave us a great experience starting with downtown, then seeing a local beach, learning about shark spotters, driving into the national park and doing some hiking. You may see some wildlife along the way. There are some great spots for lunch as well.
Armando was an awesome guide and we got to see a ton of the Cape! The tour has good variety and lots of stops
Armando is great! Very knowledgeable and I really appreciated his patience while our larger group took the time to see the beautiful beaches, parks, and wildlife. If you only have 1 day in Cape Town and the weather is good, I highly recommend this tour!
This was a great tour - Nuria was really knowledgeable and kept the group engaged and on time (where she could). I did have concerns with the driver, I couldn't understand the need to speed and constantly overtake other vehicles.
This was a great all day tour that was very informative. The driver spoke during the tour letting us know what each area was and providing a little history which was very much appreciated. I did this tour with my family ( two year old ) and it was family friendly. Thank you for the great day Gabriel.
Great day making new friends and learning about Cape town’s history as well as accessing amazing sights. Well paced trip with food stops excellent for quality and value for money. Leon was knowledgeable and flexible enough whilst trying to keep us to a reasonable to timescale. He has an understated sense of humour which is easy to miss so pay attention! Admission fees are fair.
Our guide Elie is a so patient, enthusiastic and professional guide. Highly recommend this small group tour. You can enjoy seeing penguins and the ocean all day.
We were fortunate to enjoy this tour on a beautiful day in the middle of July. The journey was extremely well planned and Armando was the best guide! He was funny, knowledgeable and kind. It was a wonderful experience and we’d recommend this tour to our family and friends.
The tour was fine, but it was not what we booked. We were merged into another tour covering table mountain as well. This was not explained and we were confused. When we asked the guide, she acted surprised. The tour that we actually went on was a bit superficial, with lots of photo stops and lots of driving.
Wonderful trip. Picked up on time. Friendly guide and driver. Saw and learned some incredible things.
Would highly recommend Zion Escape Tours to anyone looking for a fun way to spend a day outside of Cape Town. I did the Boulders Beach and Cape of Good Hope tour on my last day in SA and it was fantastic - you see so much and a totally different side to SA compared to just staying in Cape Town. The scenery was just incredible! Our guide Armando (Armand Armani Amani Xolani, if you want all his names!) was amazing - so funny, knowledgeable and flexible to cater to different people’s needs/wants. He made the day what it was. As a solo traveller I was abit nervous about going on a tour by myself but he broke the ice with everyone straight away and made sure I was fully included and enjoying myself, as well as the other solo people who joined on the trip. He really gave the 5-star service and we all had a great time. All in all a great day !
The tour was great, we visited many different spots without feeling necessarily in a rush. Armand was a very good guide, knowledgeable and patient. Overall an excellent experience
Nuria, our guide, was pleasant, organized, energetic and efficient resulting in a superb experience for this full day trip.
I had an absolutely amazing time on the Small Group Tour to Boulders Beach Penguin Colony and the Cape of Good Hope. Lerato and the crew were exceptional hosts, ensuring the entire trip was smooth, informative, and full of fun. Lots of fascinating insights were shared, the trip was breathtaking— the guide's knowledge of the history and scenery made it even more special. The small group setting made it feel personalized and relaxed, with plenty of opportunities to engage and enjoy the sights at our own pace. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore Cape Town’s natural beauty! Thank you, Lerato and team, for a memorable day!
This was an amazing tour that packed in so much in one day. There was only 8 in the group and we were picked up promptly by Jeff, our guide for the day. Jeff really added to the tour by giving a run down or local history intertwined with his own experiences. The views as we drove around were stunning and Jeff navigated his way through tight coastal roads and city traffic with ease 😁 I would 100% recommend this tour if you want to hit a few of the tourist attractions all in one day and don’t want to worry about driving yourself.
Albert, our guide provided not only information about the stops, but also included some historical facts like Bo Kaap. The African penguins were fun to view and observe. There was a pair with new babies who were sort of talking to each other.
Visiting Boulders Beach to see the African Penguins🐧 was an unforgettable experience🤩The tour was well-organized with comfortable transportation and a knowledgeable guide Armand who shared fascinating facts about these adorable creatures. Walking along the boardwalks and seeing the penguins waddle around freely was a delight. The beach⛱️ itself is stunning, with clear waters 💦 and picturesque views. I highly recommend if you're a nature lover🥰
Great guide, he knows what he's doing. The was very informative and fun at the same time. If you would like to visit cape town and have an amazing touring experience don't hesitate to book with them.
As a South African, and of the many tours I have done around the world, this one is one of the best. Alberto, was an EXCELLENT tour guide and comes highly recommended. Well worth the money spent !
Our tour guide was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about the history Of the cities that we visited and beaches. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this tour. The drive through Chapman's Peak was stunningly breathtaking. It was a joy to visit the seals on their island and the penguins as well. As well as a stop to the ostrich farm.
It was a great tour. Treasure is a fantastic guide with very interesting interesting insights and information in every step of the tour.
Wonderful experience. We spend an amazing time during this day and our guide Albert was so interesting and friendly!! We were with our child (2yr) and it was perfect for him. I recommend it 100%!
We went on a day trip with Armand to Cape Point and Boulders (Penguin) Beach on Christmas Day (!). Armand picked us up on time at out hotel & then we set off with a total of 6 guests. The atmosphere was great, everyone was laughing & in a good mood immediately. Armand explained a lot of sights during the trip & has a lot of knowledge about history, politics, fauna & flora, so we definitely learned a lot. It was extremely windy on the day of our excursion, but we still felt very safe with him as a driver on the narrow pass roads. At the individual tour sights we always had enough time to look/walk around & take photos. I’d highly recommend the tour for small group of friends, couples and also solo travelers. Many thanks for a great day!
This trip allows you to see so many of the sights in one day. We were so lucky with the weather. Our guide introduced everyone and it was a really friendly experience. Our guide (Treasure) was so informative and humorous! We were entertained all day. Obviously, you can’t spend as long as you want at each place but it certainly provides a fantastic itinerary for anyone wanting to see this stunning coast.
It’s was an amazing experience, I would like to thank especially our guide who was great throughout the day, incredible professionalism and great kindness.
I was really looking forward to this trip, but they end up merging us with another programme and cut the Hout Bay and Muizenberg out without letting us know first. They pretty much cutting our full-day tour short so that they can take the other group to table mountain. They pretty much stop on the side of the road from afar to point us to the Muizenberg. And, We didn't have a chance to stop at Hout Bay to take the boat ride to seal island or enjoy the local market. I have to negotiate with them but in the end, they only do a quick stopover at the end of the tour. By that time everything is already closing and we can not take the ride to the seal island. I paid for this tour specifically to see that 2 spots. Without being able to see these highlight, I would recommend you to take the Hop on Hop off Bus instead. Much cheaper and they stop at the same spots.
the tour was a wonderful experience passing through breathtaking places full of history! unmissable! a special thanks to our guide Armand, who made the experience even better and gave us a lot of information! thank you very much!
Nice experience, seeing interesting places, and putting together a great guide and very professional
We had a fantastic day ,it was a brilliant tour. Our guide Armand made the day for us ,he has a wealth of knowledge and has a wonderful sense of humor , we had a lot of fun. He is so well suited to his job and definitely gives 100%. Could not recommend highly enough
This tour was excellent. We had a wonderful time with the guide and other guests and finished the 9 hour tour on time. I am giving 4 stars rather than 5 because my tour was supposed to include Seal Island and this stop was omitted with no communication to us. We were placed in a group that requested a stop at Table Mountain, which we had already seen, so while that group went to the mountain in the morning we were picked up an hour later. By swapping out Seal Island for a site that we had already visited, we visited 1 less attraction and were not warned ahead of time or offered any refund. We also went to Simontown rather than Boulders Beach. Both have penguins, but I'm not sure why the swap was made. That said, we had 9 hours of great fun.
This is a wonderful day thank you so much to you our guide Reagan seriously you were amazing knowledgeable and relaxing so I highly recommend if you need to do this wonderful tour find Reagan
Highly recommended, the tour is well organised, and Tresor, our giude, was very kind and informative. Worth every penny!
We had the best time. Armand was a great tour guide. Knowledge, charismatic and funny. Would definitely recommend to a friend or do it again myself. 😅
All the wonderfull sights we saw in such a comfortable vehicle and the greatest tour guide, Treasure, who took the extra mile for his clients.
Tressor/Treasure was excellent... He knew SA history very well... He was very informative, courteous and funny.... His recommendations were excellent and he was very accommodating to the requests.... The tour is amazing as it covers most major tourist places within the day... Carrying cash is advised for convenience... Tressor is very passionate about what he does and it's evident throughout the day.A kind hardworking man... 5/5
Treasure was such a pleasure to tour with. He was fun and informative. The views were impeccable and his photography skills were pretty bad ass Highly recommend!!
Tresor knows his history of SA very well and was able to thoroughly explain each of the areas we visited. All round an enjoyable experience. Thank you
It’sw a wonderful tour to see the bay area in Cape Town. I’ll definitely recommend my friends to join this tour. Our tour guide - Treasure, he is excellent .
The tour itself was excellent and I lovet every moment! We were able to do all the stops of the itinerary, with the exception on table mountain (since it's weather dependent). Armand, the guide was great and his knowledge is outstanding, he's funny and attentive with everyone, which gives the tour a personal touch. Hats off to him. I would recommend to anyone who's looking to explore Cape Town the most in one day.
Great guide. Knowledgeable, willing to go the extra mile. Simply perfect. We enjoyed the beautiful Cape Town surroundings in a delightful way. Could not ask for anything else. We recommend our guide Armand, simply the best!!!
We enjoyed great tour to Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Beach with a perfect guide who shared a lot of interesting facts about South Africa.
Our wonderful driver Armando took us on an amazing tour. This Man was fabulous and extremely knowledgeable. We had the best and an unforgettable tour of Cape Town. It was absolutely fantastic ! The tour was amazing, we hit some historical spots in Capetown such as cape point .I highly recommend Zion Escape Tour if you would like to see amazing sites and beautiful coasts in Cape Town.
Had a fantastic experience touring the cape with Zyon Escape Tours. You get your money's worth here. Spectacular views, scenic landscapes and one of the best ways to see many different breathtaking locations within Cape Town all in one day. Our guide Armando Ferreira was incredibly well informed about the historical background of the region and just gave off a great and friendly vibe, and everyone was having a blast. A big recommendation from my side and one of the very best agencies for tours in Cape Town, South Africa.
Our guide Armando really masters his subject. He really made us an unforgettable moment. He showed us a lot on the way. Thank you Armnando for this discovery
Great excursion, the landscapes are breathtaking, we saw zebras, ostrich, elk, sea lions not to mention penguins. Albert, our guide was at the top, in addition he spoke French, he told us about the history of the country, taught us things about vegetation, animals... besides being a very beautiful outing, it was also rewarding thanks to our guide. I highly recommend!!!
... our tour guide, Armand, was the best we have ever had! Very humorous and informative at the same time! He explained everything well and included the riders. It was never boring or uninteresting. He has always been able to answer all our questions and took care of us like a big “brother”. We laughed a lot and “joked” each other. It was a great tour with him that we will not forget. If you have the opportunity to get it as a guide, then you should book it as soon as possible! Thanks again from me , stefan, Bärbel and “Alexa! Armand, stay like you are “brother” or I’ll tell your mother! 😂😂
