Had such a fantastic experience. The day was action packed starting with Robben Island and then driving all around the major stopping points Boulders beach, Cape Point, Simon's Town, etc. Rya was a FANTASTIC guide, incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. I cannot say enough good things about the overall experience and the support Ray gave, highly recommend for any tourist.

Itinerary
Pick up at your accommodation in Cape Town will be at 6:00 am by a private tour guide/driver in a private vehicle.
We take a drive to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point Lighthouse, where we will explore the Dias & Vasco Da Gama, Crosses. These two gentlemen were the first early Europeans who arrived in Cape Town around 1487 & 1495. Have your photo taken behind the iconic Cape of Good Hope name board.
From the Cape of Good Hope, we will have the option to either take a short hike to Cape Point or take the Funicular. We will also explore the most south-western point of Africa, known as the Cape Point, where the cold Benguela from the Atlantic Ocean, meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean. We will explore the lighthouse, etc.
We continue our tour to Boulder's Penguins colony where we will visit the African Penguins. Take a walk along the boardwalk on your way to the viewpoint and keep an eye out for one or two of these enchanting sea creatures who may be walking alongside you.
We take a drive along Chapmans Peak drive if it is operational. We will stop for a brief 10 minutes at the viewpoint to take some photos. Then we proceed along the Atlantic Seaboard passing through Camps Bay, Clifton and Bantry Bay to the V&A Waterfront.
Please note that your tour guide/driver will not be joining you on the boat or at the island as there will be a resident sight guide on the island who will give you a guided tour. We will arrive at the boat departures terminal at 10:30am. The ferry boat will set sail to Robben Island at 11:00 am. The entire tour duration will be up to 3.5 hours to 4-hours including boat trip transfers. When you reach the island, you will disembark at Murray’s Bay Harbour and take a brief walk to the bus that will transport you around the island. A former political prisoner will give you a guided tour. This includes a viewing of Nelson Mandela’s cell. You will also have the opportunity to take the Long March to Freedom in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela. After the tour, you will return to the Clocktower Precinct at the V&A Waterfront at approximately 14:30. Your tour guide/driver will be waiting to welcome you back at the port to transfer you back to your accommodation.
Drop off will be at your accommodation in Cape Town after the tour at approximately 15:30pm.

We had an amazing tour with our guide talent he did a great job and showed us the most beautiful points at cape point. We met new people and had a really good time. If i am going back to cape town i would love to do this tour again.
We had the best time with Clement Mulumba as our guide. He was so knowledgeable and friendly, and an excellent driver. We would absolutely do another tour with him. We learned so much history, saw so many beautiful vistas, cool animals, and did it all while avoiding the crowds. Thank you, Clement, for all the amazing photos you took as well. We will cherish them always as we look back on this holiday.
The trip to Robben Island was informative albeit a bit more crowded than we expected. Appreciated that the guide shared his own personal experiences as a political prisoner. We thoroughly enjoyed the Boulders Penguin Colony, the visit to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. Had some time for photography and taking in the views. Ran out of daylight for Chapman’s Point. Would recommend this type of tour for folks that do not mind a full day of activities. Thank you Jeff for a nice outing, we will definitely be back to Cape Town.
Nathan, our tour guide was amazing. His knowledge of the area, history and interesting anecdotes were very much appreciated. As we waited for the Robben island boat he gave us a mini tour of a very interesting couple of blocks nearby. He was friendly, professional and enthusiastic — we enjoyed his delightful tour of this area. He checked with us on our preferences for which things we were most interested in and ensured we used Flex Time in the best way. Nathan showed us many fabulous photo points, helped us find wild life (well-camouflaged to us until he pointed them out and got us to all the best points of interest on this tour. His commentary on the significance of locations, history, people, customs and food along the way was entertaining as well as informative. Pickup and drop off were flawless. Truly a 5 star experience. Highly recommend!
Nathan was an outstanding guide! He imparted a lot of knowledge along the way. The sites and exceptional views were often breathtaking.
Being in Cape Town for a few days we needed to make the best use of our time. After some research we decided that the tour that ticked a few of our boxes was the Robben island tour with the cape of good hope and cape point would fit the bill. We decided to use beyond Africa safari tours. Booking was simple and all tickets and instructions provided before we travelled. Nathan our driver for the day picked us up early in a beautiful car and we set off. First stop was the ferry to Robben island, Nathan stayed with us till we boarded the ferry and was there waiting when we returned 4 hours later, if you get a chance to do Robben island it is well worth the time. After that we when for a drive towards penguin beach, on the way he picked a great restaurant overlooking an harbour. Penguin beach was a delight and a must visit. The over to cape of good hope (very windy) for photo opportunity and then cape point. After this we did the drive back to cape town via chapmans peak, absolutely stunning view and then back to the hotel. I have to mention Nathan he was knowledgeable and funny all day and we learnt such a lot from him about the places we visited and also local life and local history. We were sad to say goodbye at the end and when we do visit cape town again it will be our pleasure to use this company again and thier great ambassador Nathan.
An unbelievable experience. Alfani was a brilliant guide, providing fascinating insights and friendly conversation throughout. Such varied experiences, from the emotional visit to Robben Island, the breathtaking Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point and the fantastic Boulders Beach with their penguins. Couldn’t have asked for more from the day.
We started the day at Robben Island which was really enjoyable. The tour of the prison was conducted by a previous inmate and it was so interesting to hear first hand stories. Next stop Boulders Beach and the Penguins. This was great, so many of them, some swimming, some sitting on their eggs and two cute ones holding "hands" walking into the distance. Next stop Cape if Good Hope which offers spectacular views. Lunch at Two Oceans was amazing. Final stop was Cape Point which was a bit of a trek to the top in the heat but we'll worth the effort. The views on the drive to and from the Cape if Good Hope were stunning. A great day out, just be prepared for a long day.
Our tour was ace. Our guide Ross was so knowledgable and made us really ready for our day. He even fitted in Table Mountain as there were only 4 of us on the excursion. Nothing too much trouble and he took our photos and we had the best time of our lives. He explained the atrocities of the appartide and joined in with our discussions. We liked our insight into Robben Island and he made sure we got our ferry.
A fantastic tour! Thomas was our guide and was so knowledgeable about the areas we visited. He was extremely helpful when a person decided to join at the last minute. He was extremely professional and made sure we saw everything we wanted to see. Even when we were running a little late he didn't cut corners and he went above and beyond what was listed for the tour..it was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend this tour if you want to see some of the highlights of the Capetown area. The scenery was beautiful and touring Robben island should be the top of anybodies must do. I really enjoyed everything and can't recommend it enough..sit back and relax and Thomas will tell you everything you need to know about what you are seeing 🙂🙂🙂👏👏😋
Ray was amazing! Our first time to S. Africa and Robben Island ferry was closed because of technical issues (half of our day tour), so he drove us around all the highlights and it was more than we could imagine. He rescheduled our Robben Island tour for the next day on our own. He was very informative, clear and friendly. Highly recommend!
Ita was a great experiencie and trip with Morne. Great drive by the coast of camps bay and little beatiful towns alongside the coast.
We had the pleasure of having Alfani as our guide for this tour. Robben Island wasn’t able to go forward in light of weather, but Alfani didn’t miss a beat and made us feel welcomed. On the way to cape of good hope, he introduced us to some prominent areas of cape town and gave us a flavor for the city and its rich history. At cape of good hope he showed us the best spots and gave us lots of opportunities for pictures and walking around. The penguin colony was a fun part of the tour too! On the way home he made recommendations for museums and coffee shops within walking distance of our hotel and showed us how to get there. An amazing day with a fantastic guide.
I was initially worried we would not fit everything in. The day was very well organised. Our guide for the day, Yoyo Alfani was extremely helpful and accommodating. The ferry tickets were emailed to us in advance and the pick up from the hotel was punctual. We arrived for the first ferry to Robben island in good time. He met us off the ferry and we headed straight off to the Cape peninsula. He was patient and he ensured that at each destination we were in the right place for our activities. He was friendly and was knowledgeable and informative. He made sure that we had an stress-free day.
The ferry to Robben Island was a little rough but we loved hearing about the history and the guide at the prison was great. David our private driver around Cape Town was wonderful at exposing us to all areas from the marina down to Boulder Beach and Cape of Good Hope providing insightful history along the way.
Our already high expectations were surpassed with bravour! We booked a lot of activities, but this one was remembered as an absolute highlight! The transport was very comfortable and safe. Our guide Ray was incredibly friendly, funny and knowledgeable. My sister loves to take pictures and Ray was always so sweet and stopped especially at incredible and random spots, which created incredible moments for us. The day flew by. We have seen so much and experienced new things in such a short time. The organization was top, from Robben Island, Boulders Beach (Penguins) and Cape of Good Hope. Every stop in itself was a highlight and we are incredibly grateful to Ray for this experience. It was a special part of our trip. We look forward to booking and experiencing another activity next time. Worth every penny, it was FANTASTIC! I think the pictures say it all or confirm it. No more words are necessary! WE LOVED IT! PS: Ray makes great photos! :)
We only had a day and a half in Cape Town and wanted to hit the highlights, so scheduled this tour. Ray, our guide was excellent! We started with Ray getting us to the boat to take us to Robbin Island. Although he could not go with us, the tour was very informative and we had great guides. We were about an hour behind schedule when we returned to the mainland from the Robbin Island tour ( not unusual ). Ray kept things moving, in a very calm and cool manner. We had great conversation in the car and he was very knowledgeable as well as a good listener as we both shared about our countries-similarities and differences. We saw all the highlights that we wanted to see as well as a beautiful drive along the coast, including a sunset. It was an awesome day! We highly recommend this tour and our guide Ray!
Our guide Pedro went above and beyond to make the day perfect. He was informative, professional and helpful. Robben Island was moving and inspirational, the penguins were cute and the views around Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point were stunning.
This tour was worth every penny! We did this tour on our first day in Cape Town and it allowed us to see so much and learn so much about the history of the city. Our guide was INCREDIBLE. He showed us so much of the city, gave us so much of the history and we saw so many animals during our day together. We said again and again how much we loved this day and it was the best decision we made.
President Mandela’s cell. And our driver guide for the penguin & Cape portions, Alfani, was excellent. He was knowledgeable and engaging and made the drive entertaining.
Our guide was wonderful! He went beyond what we expected and made our trip around the Cape one of the highlights of our trip.
Thomas the tour guide was beyond wonderful. He expanded on the history of South africa while driving us from place to place. His memory of exact dates and details was impeccable. was a great photographer too! This was probably the most scenic and lovely tour of our entire trip.
We started the tour with the visit to Robben Island and then went to the Penguin beach, followed by Cape of Good Hope and the scenic drive. Our guide David was FANTASTIC! He was very welcoming and was incredibly informative. He answered every question we had and took very good care of us. My husband got seasick on the ferry and struggled once we got back in the car. David was very accommodating and made sure we still had a great time. It was a day we’ll never forget. Highly recommended!
Robben Island is really informative and memorable - we learned so much from our guide. The Cape was beautiful and we got to see wild ostriches and baboons. The penguin colony was a highlight of our trip.
Amazing day out. Prison tour by an ex inmate, the penguins (could have watched them all day) and the excellent nature of the cape of good hope. Our private driver/guide Ray was excellent. He really took care of us. Thanks so much.
We had really a great guide and nice experiences. I recommend this for those want to pack many attractions around Cape of good hope in only one day.
Wonderful experience! Our guide was Fantastic and had he not warned us about the baboons I would have been attacked! He even showed a couple of extra places that were not on our trip! Cheers to him!
We had an excellent day with our guide, Felix. He was incredibly knowledgable and passionate about everything on our tour. From the flora and fauna of the Cape to the history of South Africa and the culture of its people. He was also incredibly patient with us as we asked him a million questions all day long! Felix ensured that this was one of the highlights of our trip and a day we won’t soon forget!
Our tour guide was extremely informative. It was an amazing tour. The tour on Robben Island was lead by a former prisoner. The experience was intense. A must see. Then off to see the penguins. Boulders Beach is so much fun. The penguins are so cute. Finally, the Cape of Good Hope. Spectacular views. Wild animals. It is a breathtaking experience. The tour is absolutely phenomenal
My husband and I flew in from NY for our honeymoon and this was our first day out. We were heavily jetlagged, but so excited to start exploring this beautiful place! Reuben, our guide, was extremely informative and a real pleasure to spend the day with! Our first stop was meant to be Robben Island, but because of the cloud cover, the shuttle was cancelled. He rebooked it for us another day (thank you!) And instead took us to Diker Island for a leisurely boat tour. The views are just stunning. Afterwards, we headed to Cape of Good Hope and the nature sanctuary. We had a surprise stop at an Ostrich Farm as well! For lunch we went to Seaforth Restaurant, within Penguin Colony! The little penguins wander wherever they desire in the town lines, even up to your table! Afterwards we took the scenic walks around penguin colony, where you can see and hear the penguins all around you. Our final stop was by the colorful houses of Muizenberg. Thank you again Reuben for an incredible day around Capetown and the Cape! This was the perfect start to our vacation :)
I had an amazing experience. It was my last day in South Africa. The day was full. I was picked up at my hotel by Joseph Mena, an exceptional guide who spoke English and French. What a joy for me, he really played the game to translate everything to me. He knew how to transmit the story with a lot of humor. It was a real pleasure. Congratulations to this guide for the time he gave us on all points, for his kindness, his humor. We were all delighted. Thank you.
The experience was good, the weather did not make it much easier, it was not possible to have better visibility. We couldn't see some points. The driver was incredible, very patient, speaking Portuguese that in a way helped me a lot. Mr. Wilson
If you have few days in Cape Town, this is a really great way to get to see and experience parts of the city. History, wildlife and amazing nature adventures. Our guide Jaen sat with incredibly much knowledge about the city and had really the heart in his job and made the day very educational for us.
La nostra guida era molto preparata disponibile e gentile...ci siamo trovati davvero bene! Consigliatissimo
