Great way to see key Cape Town sights. Robben Island visit is very sobering with an ex-prisoner as tour guide. A fantastic experience.

Thanks to Robben Island team and to Samuel as well he was amazing! He was always attentive to what we wanted. He made us to know more about Cape Town as he added extra stop to Signal Hill. We had a great day indeed.
It was well worth it. We enjoyed the culture aspects and first hand accounts from the guys at Robben. Table mountain was a highlight for the Cape Town visit. Samuel was an excellent tour guide & driver. Would recommend this tour
A perfect blend. The moving 4-hour Robben Island tour, followed by Bo-Kaap and Table Mountain, made for an incredible first day in South Africa.
Memories to Last! From the poignant Robben Island tour to the colorful houses of Bo Kaap and the stunning views of Table Mountain, our day was unforgettable. Thanks to Samuel for crafting an epic Cape Town experience!
Robben Island is a must visit. The guides on that island (different from our tour guide) were political prisoners there were sharing how the experience was. That was very moving and impactful. We should learn from history and NOT repeat what should never be repeated. That island visit was the highlight of this full-day trip. Bo-Kaap was barely 20 min stop. The Table Mountain Cable Car ride was impacted by weather...we did it but there was nothing but rain and cloud cover. I have had better experience with other guides on trips booked with Viator. The guide we were assigned on this tour (not those on Robben Island) was busy on the phone mostly and did not really give us much of the tour-guide experience. The high cost of the tour was not justified with this guide.
We had an amazing Cape Town day tour - first visiting the historical Robben island, then Table Mountain with a stunning view of the city and surroundings. Big thanks to Samuel, our awesome tour guide, for making it special ."
Excellent day with guide, John, visiting Robben Island, Bo-Kaap, Table Mountain and beaches by Clifton. Knowledgeable guide with great knowledge of Cape Town. We will visit again 🙂
This tour was a great way to start our few days in Cape Town. Samuel picked us up promptly from our hotel and took us down to the waterfront for the trip over to Robben Island. He told us where to meet him on our return and fast-tracked us through the line to the ferry. The ferry ride was a little bumpy, but they were showing an info video running that helped focus the attention. The tour at Robben Island is in 2 parts, the 1st is on a coach that goes round the island to cover the wider parts and our tour guide Tobani was really interesting and engaging, but added some humour too. The 2nd part focussed on the prison itself and whilst the majority was in 1 area, our guide, who was a former political prisoner on the island, spoke from the heart and with passion, but no hint of any anger. It was a moving experience. We met back up with Samuel, who took us through Bo-Kaap on the way up to Table Mountain. It was unfortunately a day with cloud on the mountain but we still had fantastic views out over Cape Town from the cable car level. All in all, a great day and Samuel shared lots of good information. The only tip I'd give is maybe bring some snacks/lunch as at the top of Table Mountain was the 1st opportunity we had to grab something.
We had a wonderful day exploring Robben Island and Table Mountain. Everything went real smoothly and our guides were fantastic! I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to make the most of a short time in Cape Town.
Our tour guide was 1st of all prompt and on time, he was very polite and friendly! He was very knowledgeable and did an amazing job getting us from point A to B!!
"We had an amazing time on this tour! Our guide was outstanding,The trip to Robben Island was emotional, with a former inmate's insights into Nelson Mandela's life. Bo-Kaap's vibrant houses and history were a highlight, and Table Mountain's views were spectacular. Definitely worth the trip!"
"Robben Island and Table Mountain ! Both attractions offer a unique perspective on Cape Town's natural beauty. We also made a quick stop at Signal Hill, which added a lovely charm to our day!
A huge thanks to our driver Samuel for making our day so enjoyable! Robben Island Museum holds a powerful history and the stunning view of Table Mountain offers breathtaking of the city and the Atlantic Ocean!
Great experiences. These are must dos when you visit South Africa. I highly recommend them all. You won’t be disappointed.
Fantastic service! From start to finish everything was seamless—professional, courteous, and perfectly organized. It felt like having a personal concierge for the day. Pre-purchased tickets made it so easy to move between stops with no hassle. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and the whole experience was stress-free. Highly recommend booking with them! Big thanks to Richard!
Had an incredible time exploring Robben Island Museum and Table Mountain ! The history and stories shared on Robben Island were truly eye-opening,Our driver Jhon's knowledge and warm hospitality made the experience even more special.
Just an unforgettable trip to Robben Island and Table Mountain - breathtaking views from Signal Hill too! Huge thanks to the team for exceptional service!
The guide on our bus was outstanding!,had a story relating to every single person's nationality and how they had shaped south african/robben islands history and then passing you on to a former inmate who obviously spent some time with Mandela and gives you insight in to the man he was!,the trip up table mountain unfortunately for us was pretty cloudy and a bit cold but still the views were spectacular, on a bright day it would be obviously even better,Bo Kaap is also worth it for the splendidly painted houses with murals and history which our driver (Samuel) was well versed!
A great day in Cape Town visiting Robben Island, Table Mountain, signal Hill and No-Kapp. Samuel was a terrific guide, very friendly, informative and accommodating. His SUV was very comfortable too. I can highly recommend Samuel if you’re visiting Cape Town
Table Mountain and Robben Island trip is the best place to visit !! We did enjoy it, end much experience. Our guide Richard was very friendly always stop where we wanted.
We fully enjoyed each of these places/sights. The experience at Robben Island was both profound and informative. Having a former political prisoner as your guide through the prison makes it even more impactful. Bo Kaap is an interesting area and we were glad to be able to learn about the history of why the homes are painted in the different colors. And Table Mountain..wow. We were lucky to have a completely clear day and the view was spectacular. All of the activities in this tour could be done on your own…if you want to bother with the hassle of obtaining tickets and getting yourself place to place and figuring out where to go when you get there! We are very glad we had Richard to help us with all of this. He was always in contact and right on time for every pickup and drop off. He literally escorted us to the ferry boarding for Robben Island (the V&A waterfront is a bit confusing if it is your first time there). He was quite personable and pleasant to be around, and even showed us one of his favorite scenic spots near Table Mountain. Thanks so much!
It's so enjoyable, and an experience not to forget. If time allows I won't mind taking my family there almost every festive season.
