Yesterday, my husband and I took the private 1 day Cape Wine lands tour with Marlene as our guide. It was obvious that the wineries were carefully tailored to suit our tastes as we sampled excellent wines. The wineries were incredibly scenic and peaceful. No buses, trams, or car loads of people were at these top notch wineries. As our guide, Marlene exceeded our expectations. Frankly, she was a delight to be with all day! I highly recommend this company. You just can’t go wrong!

My husband and I are well travelled and have done many private tours in several countries. This was one of our most memorable ones ever. Marlene was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and provided a great wealth of knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is not only an excellent guide but a warm human being!

Cedric fully customized our tour to match our wine tastes. He is extremely knowledgeable about the wineries in the region so he knows where to take you and can be flexible. He has great wine knowledge and shares it in a very relaxed manner. So glad we chose this tour!

Marlene was an outstanding private guide who actually tailored the day to us instead of running a script. She gave us plenty of unhurried time to enjoy each stop on our own, then chimed in with the right detail at the right moment without ever hovering. The whole experience felt personal and relaxed, not like a tour. We never felt rushed or managed, just well looked after. Highly recommend her if you want a private, easy day.

Second time doing a wine tour with Marlene. Both tours were an incredible experience. High quality clean vehicles, and Marlene is very knowledgeable when it comes to the local wine estates and will customize a tour to your liking. Highly recommend. What a great day with Marlene! We were a group of 7 looking for a fun day of wine tasting. Marlene was a joy from the time she picked us up until we parted. Marlene gave us wine information we had never learned before and always kept us laughing. We visited 4 estates and they were all great. We spent the most wonderful day of wine tours with Marlene. She communicated well the day before for confirmation and day of when she arrived. The ride to the first winery was spent giving an overview of the region of wines and the winemaking process. All 4 wineries were spectacular. Lunch at the Postcard Cafe was over the top. We did the Stellenbosch-Franshhoek wine tour with Marlene and could not be happier with our experience. Marlene was delightful and very knowledgeable about the wines. She took us to the most stunning wineries - we were truly blown-away by the beauty - Rainbows End in particular. Our lunch venue was wonderful. Marlene was punctual and a very safe and sure driver. Marlene coordinated the wine tastings for us after asking about our specific preferences following our initial booking. She was greeted warmly at each of our four stops, and arranged our visits so we could try as many different types of wines as possible. Would highly recommend that you book this curated tour if are looking for a customized experience in South Africa wine country. We could have never navigated/selected such a diverse group of wineries on our own that ranged from tiny boutique farms to large, well-known properties.

We just wrapped up three wonderful days with Marlene and cannot recommend Luhambo highly enough. First off, spending three days in Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl is pure heaven for wine aficionados. Being from the US, we get little exposure to these incredible vineyards and winemakers. Absolutely incredible!! Working with Cedric and Marlene was seamless. They took care of all planning and scheduling, with the outcome being a smooth and incredible day. Marlene was so charming and conversational. We felt we had made a great friend after the first day. She made the whole experience complete. Thanks to Marlene and Cedric for an amazing experience.

Last we took this tour and Madeline was our guide. She was an excellent tour guide and host and we had a wonderful day. She did a great job of picking out just the right wineries for us, breath taking scenery and beautiful wines. Madeline is very knowledgeable about wines, wine making and the industry. We learned a lot from Madeline. She really knew how to explain information that was easy to understand and remember. On top of that hat, she had a great sense of humor and kept us in stitches all day. It was truly a remarkable and memorable day. Thank you Madeline.

A beautifully curated tour that accommodated our preferences with style and insight. We chose to tailor the day to just 2 wineries with time left for visiting both Franschhoeck and Stellenbosch. We suggested the tour company select two of their favourite wineries with a lunch at one of them and the result was a lovely blend of tasting and dining coupled with an extraordinary tour through the magnificent countryside. Oh, and great shopping to boot! Marlene, our driver and guide, was extremely knowledgeable and polished in presenting the region to us with an insight only locals truly know. We wished we had known that this company also offered different itineraries that included the southern cape region and the wineries that can be found there, but I was too focussed on this region to think to ask of other trip offerings that would further complement our five days in Capetown. Definitely worth doing with such a terrific offering and attention to detail. Cedric, the owner, was extremely prompt in acknowledging our requests, and he clearly has cultivated a superb team of professionals in a boutique approach to service and knowledge.

What can I say, the most wonderful few days exploring the wine region with Cedric. From my initial enquiry all questions were answered swiftly and fully, Cedric quickly ascertained what types of wine we liked and came up with suggestions of vineyards to visit. Having worked in the region for a number of years Cedric has an excellent relationship with many vineyards and often got a bottle of wine opened for us to taste that is not normally offered as part of a tasting. Our itinerary was modified as Cedric got to know our tastes more, and introduced us to some special wines, some of which we bought home with us. Cedric is also an excellent travel guide, very knowledgable and obviously very proud of the beautiful country he lives in, but knows it’s problems and ishappy to discuss the not too pretty bits too. Great way to explore the Cape Winelands. We took a private wine tour today. Marlene our guide for the day, picked us up from our hotel and drove us to Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. We enjoyed the drive there as Marlene gave us lots of information about the area and the types of wines we would be trying. We had a fabulous day, our favorites were Rainbows End and Knanskop. We had an exceptional day touring the vineyards of Stellenbosch, made truly memorable by our tour guide, Marlene. Her in-depth knowledge of the working vineyards brought the region to life and helped us fully understand the different varieties of wine and how they are produced. What a truly wonderful day!!! Our guide was Marlene who was punctual and very well organised. She tailored the day to suit our own wine preferences and took us to some exceptional vineyards. The wine was excellent (and plenty of it) and the settings were stunningly beautiful. The day was incredibly informative, but in a relaxed and informal way, so you never felt like you were in a classroom! We learned so much and Marlene’s style perfectly suited what we wanted to get out of the day. The real star of the show is Marlene herself! She is naturally gifted with a wonderful sense of humour and an ability to really relate to people. Honestly, she could have her own talk show! By the end of the day we felt like we were saying ’goodbye’ to a life long friend! I would 100% recommend this wine tour and the operator. It was faultless.

Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we booked a Luhambo Tours day trip to the Winelands with Marlene. We selected which vineyards we wanted to visit and left the rest to them. It was a wonderful day. Marlene is an excellent driver, knowledgeable, personable and has a good sense of humor. Only regret is we didn’t book our tour of Cape Town through them. Highly recommend Luhambo Tours and Marlene. You won’t be disappointed.

This was an amazing experience for six of us to end our trip to South Africa. Cedric took us to great spots and made some pivots along the way as we had conversations with him. He had great knowledge of the area and the various wine estates. He even made dinner reservations for us and offered to drive us back and forth to dinner. The La Petit Paris guesthouse was also outstanding and was booked as part of our package. I can’t say enough good things about this experience. If you are considering it, book it!

A GREAT DAY! Our guide, Marlene, was terrific. Knowledgeable, friendly, and really pulled out all the stops to make our day special and introduce us to some new red wines. Marlene has been guiding people for long enough to understand how involved you want her to be - we had great fun with her, but we also had time by ourselves. All the places we went to seemed overjoyed to see her, and we thought this a very good sign of a true professional. The places she took us were all very different from each other, all had very special wine and wonderful people. It was another level of education for us, and beautifully tailored to our needs. This tour was excellent. Marlene was a wonderful tour guide and really catered to our needs as some of us preferred whites and others reds. I recommend outdoor seating if weather permits to get the best views of the estates and surrounding mountains.
