Itinerary
From the vantage point of the Shark Spotter, you can see the surfers below, Seal Island in the distance and beyond, the Hottentots Holland Mountains. In season there is a good chance to spot whales in the bay but the views are breathtaking year round.
A photo stop at Jubilee Square, Just Nuisance statue and time out to get a coffee and see the facades of the buildings of yesteryear with a British feel.
Enough time here to see the penguin colony and a walk to the actual beach where you too can see some penguins up close. The whole area is filled with natural beauty.
This place is has an abundance of endemic flora and we go off the beaten track to see and appreciate this unique natural beauty. We take you to places where most visitors sadly don't get to see. We also go to Cape Point - lunch at Two Oceans restaurant and then a pic stop at The Cape of Good Hope.
This scenic cove ticks many boxes in terms of scenic beauty - quiet, white beach, rocky outcrops, small coastal hamlet, lots of bird life and good surfing spot.
We are of the very few operators that make this a must stop. It has quaint little shops amazing ice cream and coffee and provides an insight of how the locals hangout and country style life.
Certainly one of the most scenic coastal drives in South Africa (and beyond). This 100+ year old winding road is built where the granite bed and the sand stone and shale layers meet and some interesting engineering makes this drive memorable. We stop at the summit of this drive for pics across the bay and of the road.
Playground for the beautiful people ! We stop at a vantage point for photos with the amazing backdrop of the seaside town with its many restaurants and ideal place to watch sunsets.
This is and add on for those that cannot do this on another day. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens showcases South Africa's diverse flora and in particular our unique Fynbos. It is a well manicured garden where you will have an hour's leisurely stroll.
Another Add On worth the time. This wine farm set on the mountain side of Noordhoek has WOW views of the beach, mountains and the village. The wine is good too and it is hardly busy.

I had what i can only describe as the perfect day in cape town. I got to see penguins, beautiful coastline, have a really lovely walk by the cape and see other animals as well. And ended the day in a winery doing a tasting of Napoleon's favorite wine. Tania is an amazing guide, she kept the plans flexible and I was able to see the things I wanted. She knows so much about Capetown, it's history, it's nuances, it's animals and plants. Really a nice hang overall, lovely person and great sense of humor. Had an amazing time. Highly recommend.
Tania and I connected immediately and she catered the tour to my interests. She was friendly, professional and very informative.
This tour was great! Covered alot of ground and learned a lot about Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula. We drove all over the place beating the crowds, while exploring for anmials, plants and the best photos. Scenery truely is unbeatable around Cape Town. Tania was awesome- punctual, knowledgeable, and alot of fun to spend the day with. I highly recommend this tour.
Great way to experience the peninsula - its nature, people, and culture. It was a mixed day with rain and sun and some wind and we customized our tour to that. Exploring local towns and cafés before heading over to the cape. We got to see ostriches, bonteboks, and baboons in their natural habitats. And of course the boulder penguins … Great day ending with a sunset view over Camps Bay.
Tania was a brilliant guide!! Took us to all the best spots and was really accommodating. especially because our booking was last minute. Thanks so much Tania :) xx
My husband, 10 year old son and I spent a wonderful day exploring the Cape Peninsula with Tania. She tailored the trip to suit our interests and was so much fun to spend time with - I'd highly recommend this experience if you want to get a flavour of the area in a day, without the need to worry about driving and parking. She made sure we arrived to see the penguins before the majority of the crowds arrived, and suggested a less busy walk at the Cape of Good Hope with absolutely mind-blowing views. We really enjoyed hearing about South Africa from a local, and she even came up with quizzes for us to do in the car to keep my son entertained! Thanks so much Tania!
We had an amazing Cape Peninsula tour today with Tania and couldn’t recommend it more! Tania arrived right on time and immediately made us feel welcome. She was incredibly friendly with a wonderful sense of humour, which made the whole day really enjoyable. The journey was very comfortable and relaxed, and Tania shared fascinating facts about the area – it felt like she knew something interesting about every street we passed. What really made the day special was that she took us to some hidden spots we would never have found on our own. One of the highlights was seeing wild ostriches on a beautiful beach, and we were the only people there – such a magical moment. If you’re thinking about doing a Cape Peninsula tour, we would absolutely recommend going with Tania. A fantastic experience from start to finish!
My partner and I (a queer couple in our 30s) booked a private tour with Tania a few months ago and had an incredible experience. She picked us up at our hotel in De Waterkant and took us around all day, customizing the tour and flexing with our needs and interests as the day went on (instead of forcing us on a cookie cutter tour route). She took us by Muizenberg Beach to see the colorful bathing huts and then at Tania's suggestion we stopped in Kalk Bay. We'd been looking for some unique souvenirs and we found incredible spots with everything from handmade jackets made by local designers (Lake Side Provisions next to Kalk Bay Books) to a very cute used bookstore (Kalk Bay Books) to antiques. After spending more time than we expected there, we headed to Boulders Beach to see the penguin colony! It was packed, but Tania gave us tips on using our tickets to walk to another, much quieter beach. Then we headed to Cape Point. Tania showed us around a handful of beautiful and peaceful beaches to enjoy the stunning landscape and pointed out wildlife along the way (including baby ostriches). We had some lunch and hiked up to the Old Cape Point Lighthouse (about 30 minutes) and then drove to the Cape of Good Hope. Then we headed back to Cape Town, taking the gorgeous Chapman's Peak Drive. Through it all, Tania was kind, warm, and so incredibly knowledgeable, answering our many questions and teaching us so much about the landscape and South African history and culture. I would 10/10 recommend touring with her!!
This tour was the best. The guide was really friendly and professional. She tried to take me to as many places as possible and explained the slightest thing in kind and detail.
From the initial communication with Tania, to the meet-up, and throughout the trip, the day was truly amazing! She was on time, had a new comfortable car, and a fun, friendly trainee with her to meet us at the hotel for our private tour. Over the next 8 hours, she provided a detailed and compelling tour as she shared the history of the city, interwoven with current info and interesting facts about the area and the country overall. Tania and her trainee had such a beautiful energy and genuine excitement about what they showed us whether it be the penguins (visited early to avoid the crowds), the peninsula and surrounding towns, or the Cape, always taking plenty of time for photos or just to gaze out at the stunning geography. If you want a truly memorable experience with an experienced, friendly, fun, thoughtful guide, you must book your private tour with Tania. You will leave inspired and with respect for this beautiful city and the country. Thank you, Tania and Solamanie for an incredible day which we will never forget!!
While the stunning, natural landscape here will always be the star of the show, Tania did so much to give it all meaning and make our experience exceptional. A true local, she offered so much historical and factual information about everything we were seeing - and all with a genuinely friendly style. We could not have had a better experience. Knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and fun! Highly recommended.
Tania is a kind and gracious guide who knows her town well and enjoys showing off the “best of” to her guests. No matter your interests, she will find the best options and work on your schedule. Knowing we wanted to see wildlife, she took us down the best paths to see everything from ostriches (with babies!) to baboons (with a baby!). It was a truly full and wonderful day!
Tania was great showing us all the sites and wildlife. She also told us about the history of the areas we were visiting and was very flexible in the places we visited.
We can't speak highly enough of Tania, she was absolutely fantastic! It was our first time in South Africa and I did a lot of research before coming to find someone to show us around. Tania had amazing reviews mentioning her friendliness and professionalism - all true! I corresponded with her via e-mail for many months before our visit and she was always helpful and prompt with her replies. My husband and I did 2 full day private tours with her - 1 to visit the Kirstenbosch gardens and Cape Point and the other to go to whale watching in Hermanus. On both days she was so so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She went out of her way to give us an outstanding experience. She added stops to the itinery - we visited the Harold Porter gardens in Betty's Bay as she knew I loved gardens and stopped at the amazing FOMO gallery too. We had a running joke about baboons (as my husband had seen one en route to Boulders Beach and I had missed it) so she was constantly on the look out for places we might see them and we eventually did when we were driving along the absolutely stunning Clarence Drive. We were so pleased we chose Tanya to be our guide, we felt we were being shown around by a friend and really hope to keep in contact with her as we so enjoyed her company. We 100% recommend Tanya, she is the perfect person to show you around the beautiful country of South Africa.
My husband and I had a marvelous day with Tania . She was early to greet us, very flexible about the schedule, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional pretty much everything you could ask for from a guide. I highly recommend booking with her company.
Took the tour last week and it was a great experience, Tanya (or Tania?) our tour guide was excellent. Would definitely recommend!
My husband and I booked “Private Tour Of Penguins, Cape Of Good Hope & Peninsula” for our honeymoon and our guide, Tania, was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, she was warm, incredibly communicative, and impressively knowledgeable. Tania tailored the day perfectly to our pace and interests, and her insights made every stop along the way more meaningful. We got to see endless penguins at Boulders Beach, as well as ostriches and antelope at The Cape of Good Hope. The views were breathtaking, and Tania made the history and landscape come alive. She truly made the day unforgettable, we couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better day. We cannot recommend this tour enough, especially Tania for anyone looking for an enriching, seamless, and incredibly enjoyable experience!
This was a great all-day trip where we were able to see penguins, the Cape of Good Hope, and Cape Point all in one tour.
A delightful day trip with Tanya, our tour guide, who was very knowledgeable and invested in helping us see the sights we were most interested in. She even took a detour and found 2 groups of ostriches by the sea (which made the perfect pictures) and stopped for a yummy ice cream. We recommend the tour and if you want to learn about Cape Town past and present, just ask for Tanya.
We ( a group of 6) would highly recommend Tania and Yaseen as tour guides. Taking the tour with Tania and Yaseen was like going to visit old friends in their city and have them show you around. Their knowledge, humour and obvious pride and passion for Cape Town and its surrounds made for a very special day out and we will definitely repeat when we return to Cape Town. Tania’s communication before the day was also excellent. We needed to change the date of the trip due to a local event that blocked the road to the Cape. Tania was very accommodating in finding an alternate day that worked for us all. On the day Tania and Yaseen tailored the tour to meet our needs including a visit to the botanical gardens which was something we had been unable to schedule previously - happy days. We had a hard close to catch flights and Tania and Yaseen dropped us back at the hotel on the dot. Appreciated by all. All up a great day and highly recommended for anyone wanting to discover all that CapeTown has to offer. Thank you Tania and Yaseen .
I had great experience with Yaseem.. Capetown is lovely place and i highly recommend anyone to visit.
Tanya was a delightful tour guide who shows great enthusiasm. In addition to her location knowledge, she is an expert on animals and botanicals of the area. We could not have asked for a better guide and tour.
We had a great experience. We learned a lot about Cape Town and the surrounding area. Our driver was knowledgeable and enjoyable. It was a great day.
Tania was a wonderful guide as we had a short day and lots to get done! She was there early to pick us up. She is highly knowledgeable and very pleasant to spend the day with. We had such a great time exploring the coast line of Cape Town including the botanical gardens, Simon Town, Cape Horn and Chapman’s Peak Drive - incredible natural beauty all day!!!
We enjoyed our day with Tania showing us around the Cape. Communication prior to our trip was straightforward and Tania arrived on time to collect us. We travelled in a small but comfortable car and Tania was a good driver, very knowledgeable about the area, and willing to answer all our questions. At a few sites she dropped us at one point and then met us at another which gave us the chance to explore without back tracking. We were able to set our own timing and adjust the itinerary as needed, and Tania even stopped off on the way back so we could pick up some groceries! This was the perfect way to see a lot in just one day. Thanks for a great day Tania!
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating facts, loads of fun! It was even better that it was a private tour she was able to stop more often according to what we liked.
Tania has been an amazing guide and a travel companion during my day tour around the Cape Peninsula. This tour has been one of my highlights of my entire stay in South Africa. Tania went above and beyond to make it a great experience. She was patient, welcoming and had a lot of knowledge about the places she showed to me. She even drove me to places which are not included in any of the „standard packages“ of other tour operators. I recommend this tour and Tania to 100%. Go for it - you will have make great memories!
What to say?! Tania has simply been great! I joined the tour as part of my solo, Tania drove me around among the most beautiful places I’ve seen in South Africa, showed me the hidden gems and told me about their past and current stories. Along with being an excellent guide, Tania has been an amazing travel mate to spend some time with. I absolutely recommend her for this and any other tour your are planning to do!
Tania gave us a truly memorable day and went the extra mile ( literally ) to show us all of the sights and points of interest from Capetown to the Cape and back again . From her initial contact to confirm our booking and pick up point until the end of the tour she was friendly , Knowledgeable, efficient and informative throughout. We would never have spotted the Ostriches ourselves ! We were so impressed that we booked a separate tour with Tania to visit the wine region. Andrew Black
Tania was great! Personable friendly and very knowledgeable of the area! One of the best tours we have ever taken! Highly recommend. We saw baboons penguins ostrich and antelope in the wild. Fantastic! Cape Town was beautiful! Thank you Mrs Bean😂
Tania was a fantastic guide! Incredibly knowledgable, insightful and patient. I had a fantastic time and would recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience the best that CapeTown has to offer!
Tania’s friendliness, her knowledge of the beautiful places we saw, her ability to tell you interesting things without blabbing constantly and boring you. We had a great day. And her kindness in calling to return a lens I left in her car.
I really enjoyed my tour of the south cape with Tania. The scenery was spectacular and we were very lucky with great weather. Tania was informative about much of the historical spots and the geography of the peninsula. Loved it. Well organized? Yes Punctual? Yes Good value? Yes Left happy? Yes
We spent days with both Tania and Yaseen on both occasions when we were in Cape Town. They are both great and we consider them friends today. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
I had SUCH an amazing day with Tanya, it was more than I hoped for in a day tour! She had so much knowledge of the history, the plants and animals, and just wonderful banter as we drove. I got to see so much of Cape Town and it was so personal—highly recommend!!!
Even though Tanya was very knowledgeable I found she didn’t stick to the itinerary and I missed out on seeing Cape Point. She often went off the beaten track to show me something that took too long and was of no interest to me. I was not provided with a water bottle as mentioned in the inclusions. Tanya also got the date wrong and came a day early. We spent too long at the botanical gardens even though it was interesting it was just the same species of floral. I also thought that the private tour was far too expensive for what was on offer
We didn't have long in Cape Town to see the wonderful sights, so we booked Tania for a day to take us to the highlights based on our preference. This meant we had an excellent personal guide around the Cape, as well as being driven to the locations. Tania also gave us all of the local insight knowledge, that we just wouldn't have gotten by going on our own. Thank you Tania. - Scott & Shirley
We were originally booked to do this Cape tour with Tania in July 2020, but had to reschedule 3 times due to covid. It was well worth the wait. Tania was a wonderful host and great company. Her passion and knowledge about South Africa’s history, culture and nature was infectious. Prior to our vacation, we had several exchanges with Tania, who wanted to ensure the itinerary was perfectly tailored to our requirements. As an amateur wildlife photographer, I was keen to see and photograph the African penguins at Boulders Beach and the ostriches at Cape Point Nature Reserve. Thanks to Tania I photographed both of these and so much more. We also enjoyed Muizenberg Beach, Simons Town, Boulders Beach, Cape Point Lighthouse, Cape of Good Hope and a beautiful sunset over Houts Bay from Chapman’s Peak Drive. Thank you Tania, for an amazing day full of wonderful memories. If you are considering a visit to Cape Town, we would highly recommend you book a personal guided tour with Tania and Yassen. You will not be disappointed.
Tania was an excellent tour guide! She was pleasant and informative about all the South Africa questions we had. She went put of her way to show us animals and sites we had never seen before. It was a great trip for our first day in Capetown!
Tanya was wonderful, very knowledgeable and a delight to spend the day with!! Her good luck even allowed us to see two whales, the first sightings of the season!! All of the stops were wonderful, lived the gardens, and Tanya can tell you about every bird and plant!! Highly recommend!
Tania was a great guide. She shared a lot of history, knew the right stops and places to visit, and made even a rainy, foggy day one of my best days in Cape Town!
Tania was amazing. Our tour was catered to our pace and interests. You can tell she really enjoys her job as she was very knowledgeable. We felt comfortable and immediately hit it off with her. Many people could say they'd rather travel and explore on their own but Tania proved that being guided by a local has many perks. We saw so much in short time.
I highly recommend this tour. There were 13 of us traveling (8-77) so having the private vehicle was awesome. Mark was the perfect tour guide. He was friendly, knowledge, accommodating and kept our large group moving. He knew all the perfect routes and places to stop for amazing views. He even got our party a last minute reservation for lunch. I would request Mark if we return to Cape Town.
This was an absolutely wonderful tour! Tania arrived bright and early and created a custom all day tour based on what we wanted to see. Since we only had a couple of days in Cape Town there was a lot to do. Tania went over her plan for the day with us and off we went. to say we packed a lot into the day would be an understatement. We managed to to see Penguin Beach, Cape of Good hope, hit a winery for wine tasting, Simon's Town, Chapman's Peak Drive and much more. Tania took us to all the best spots and even a few hidden local gems. She was personable and professional and we truly had a wonderful time with her. My family and I would highly recommend booking with her. You won't be disappointed!
We had an amazing time with Tania! She took us to all the beaches listed plus little places and stores to eat and get coffee that we wouldn’t have otherwise get to know. She was so nice, welcoming, and not to mention funny! She knew a lot about Cape Town and the places we visited. She was also very patient with us (we took a lot of pictures) and we were very happy not only with the tour but with spending time with an amazing guide! We definitely recommend this tour!
The tour was great and catered to your liking. Tania was an amazing guide and I truly enjoyed our conversations!
We had a cracking Discovery Tour with Tania! We toured the peninsula, visited all the iconic tourist sites, saw penguins, dassies, baboons, antelope and tortoise, and enjoyed a great lunch at Cape Point. We discussed South African culture, history, and current challenges. Tania was lovely, fun, and informative. Highly recommended.
This was our first day in Cape Town after a 17 hour flight! We read the reviews and so glad we did as we had fantastic time with Tania and Yaseen! They were such a pleasure to be with in this private tour. We did the Peninsula Tour and were gone all day and what a beautiful day it was. We saw so many animals, blue sky and the unforgettable terrain of the area. We were so pleased with this tour that we booked another tour with them on another day. They were energetic, knowledgeable and such a pleasure to be with as if they were part of the family and I don't say that easily. If we travel to Cape Town again, rest assured we would use them without question and would recommend them to all our friends. We had such a wonderful experience.
Wonderful experience. Beautiful place had a fulfilling and fun day. Totally worth the visit. Tania was the most wonderful guide and a great company. Highly recommend her.
