We had a truly wonderful full-day tour of the Cape with Jean. It was a perfect experience for a family or small group wanting an intimate, personalized tour at their own pace. Right from the start, Jean’s passion for and knowledge of the Cape area and South Africa is immediately apparent, and it makes him a truly exceptional guide. We learned so much from Jean as we travelled from one stop to the next, and are grateful for all the facts and insights that he shared with us. We also really appreciated Jean’s willingness to tailor the tour to our interests and spend more time at some of the spots we were most interested in, like with the penguins at Boulders Beach! He’s also a great photographer, and didn’t miss any opportunities to capture a few photos of us at every stop! Thank you, Jean, for an amazing tour of the Cape area, and for helping us make some truly magical memories during our visit to South Africa!

Formerly known as "Malay Quarter", the vibrant neighborhood is famed for its attractive bright colorful houses, aligned by cobbled roads, dominated by Cape Dutch and Georgian architectures. Your guide will share the history about local people and their culture while taking memorable pictures and visiting some art galleries of this unique neighborhood.
We call it the Kodak moment. Our accredited guide will provide the history and current importance of this place. You will take incredible pictures of the 12 apostles and the gorgeous Camps Bay Beach.
Embark on a fascinating cruise from Hout Bay harbor to Seals/Duiker Island where you will have a closer encounter with thousands of Cape Fur Seals in their natural habitat. The cruise trip is optional (Clients may choose to do it or not).
This is one of the most beautiful marine drives in the world. A unique combination of the panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean with superb mountains of the Cape Peninsula makes it one of the most scenic drives of the country.
Enjoy a short break, discover "The Roost", grab the best coffee in the area. The Farm Village, most-loved local hangout, houses fine restaurants, great cafés, a top-notch bakery and a wide range of shops.
Meet 'Just Nuisance', in the charming town of Simon's Town. He made history; he was the only dog to be officially enlisted in Navy. Have a short moment to explore the town before heading back to Cape Town.
Very few places offer as a remarkable a viewing as the Boulders Beach. Closer encounter with delightful African Penguins in their natural habitat will leave you in awe. There are currently + 3000 penguins that are seen throughout the year. The place is notable for having some of the best restaurants recommendable for lunch.
This is probably the top highlight of the tour. Cape of Good Hope, most South-Western point of Africa, has long been used as a waypoint by sailors and merchants from Europe to Far East and Australia. A long traffic of commercial ships could be seen all the time. One of the great capes of the South Atlantic Ocean. Besides, travelers visit the "Cape Point": panoramic views of both the old and new lighthouses, phenomenal views of the 'Diaz Point' cliffs, the special beauty of fauna and flora, the stunning beaches of the Cape Point Nature Reserve, an exceptional attraction to visit.
The famous white sandy beach is famed for its unique colorful beach huts, water sport activities such as surfing and swimming and picnicking. Explore its bohemian sanctuary, art galleries, boutiques, cafes and restaurants.

What a day!! Jean Marie was an fabulous guide and buddy for the day. From the moment he pulled up to pick us up at our flat to the moment he bid us goodbye Jean was so friendly and warm, incredibly knowledgeable of the region and history of South Africa. He was so wonderful with our two children, 11 and 13, indulging all of their questions along the way. We had beautiful weather for our tour, though incredibly windy and Jean navigated that we'll for the best experience for us. It was so notable to us the way that others (workers and fellow tour guides) he knew at the attractions received him, making it so clear what a genuine person he was.
Jean was the best possible guide for a day long adventure through Cape Town down the peninsula to the penguins and Cape of Good Hope. He gave us a running commentary on the history and significance of the many places we saw on the way. And he handled all the logistics so that we were able to just focus on the beauty of the day! A lovely gentleman we’re glad to have spent the day with!!
Jean-Marie was cheerful, adventurous, knowledgeable, and great at making conversation! My mom and I got more out of this day than we could have ever hoped for. He had all kinds of little stories and tips about the many sites we visited. He was also flexible and adapted the schedule when we wanted to spend more/less time at certain places.
Great trip with the most friendly and knowledgeable driver/guide, Leon. Very flexible too, we got to see Groot Constantia Vineyard as we had seen the penguins before.
We were utterly thrilled and delighted with the overall tour experience. Our guide Jean is, not only a professional driver, but also an experienced and friendly tourist guide! He enriched us with considerable historical and cultural information with lots of fun. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Golden Eagle if I were to visit Cape Town again!
Thank you so much for planning a wonderful tour that we thoroughly enjoyed. Our guide Wesley is very knowledgeable and provided us with ample information for every single listed attraction! We found Cape Town very attractive and we will be back for a much longer stay! A lot to see, a lot do! My highlight was the enchanting penguins and was surprised by baboons climbing a building in Simon’s Town, which building is a military accommodation according to our guide! I highly recommend this tour!

We took pictures with fur seals and were lucky enough to come closer to penguins, ostriches, tortoises, eland, baboons and bonteboks! Chapman’s Peak is miraculously amazing! I would recommend the scenic hike at Cape of Good Hope!! I am happy I did this tour with Golden Eagle! I will book you again! Cape Town is exceptionally beautiful!

We completed a full day tour starting at Cape Town up to Cape Point (including Boulders Beach) and chose to have Jean Marie do another 1/2 day tour of Kirsten Bosch botanical gardens, Signal Hill and Sunday Food Market. Jean Marie has a wealth of knowledge about Cape Town and its neighborhoods. He accompanied us at every place of interest and provided a detailed description of everything. Highly appreciative of him for providing an overview of this beautiful and vibrant city as well as an opportunity enjoy a spectacular sunset from Cape Point lighthouse. A fantastic day spent with Jean Marie, our beloved driver who also acted as our guide. Very good at suggesting all the best spots where to take photographs and where to see interesting things. He also took us where there weren't many tourists and helped us purchase tickets for attractions. Great photographer! Furthermore, of great kindness and spirit, always ready to explain the landscape, historical and social aspects of South Africa. I wanted to pet a seal and he tried in every way to make me do it, with success! We returned after dark and it was no longer possible to take photos of Bo Kaap, but he accompanied us to the site to show us where it would be safe to go alone the next day. Super super recommended!!!
