My husband and I had a truly wonderful and memorable time in Cape Town. We booked a private 3.5-day tour with Wanderers, covering Kirstenbosch and Constantia, the Winelands, Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, as well as a spectacular sunrise hike up Lion's Head. We were incredibly fortunate to have Nico as our guide throughout the trip. Nico was warm, knowledgeable, professional, and simply a pleasure to spend time with. He shared fascinating stories, provided great insights into the places we visited, and took some amazing photos for us along the way. His enthusiasm, sense of humor, and genuine care made the entire experience feel much more personal and special. Our trip to Cape Town would not have been the same without him. We also greatly appreciated the support of Aziza behind the scenes and enjoyed the friendly and reliable transfers provided by Andre. Thank you to the Wanderers team for such a fantastic experience. We highly recommend them to anyone visiting Cape Town.

Cape Point, located in the Cape of Good Hope nature reserve in South Africa, is a must-visit destination for any nature lover or adventurer. This stunning coastal location boasts breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, with rugged cliffs and sparkling blue waters as far as the eye can see. The Cape of Good Hope nature reserve is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including baboons, antelopes, and over 250 species of birds. Hiking trails crisscross the reserve, offering visitors the chance to explore the unique landscapes and spot some of the local wildlife. One of the highlights of a visit to Cape Point is taking a ride on the Flying Dutchman Funicular, a railway that takes you to the top of the peak. From here, you can take in panoramic views of the surrounding area and snap some Instagram-worthy shots of the scenery.
This iconic coastal road is a must-see, offering some of the most breathtaking views in the area. Stretching for 9 kilometers through the mountains between Noordhoek and Hout Bay, Chapmans Peak is famous for its dramatic twists and turns. As you wind along the road, you'll be treated to stunning vistas of the ocean and rugged cliffs that drop away into the water below. There are several lookout points along the route where you can stop and take in the views, snap some photos, or even have a picnic. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can also go for a hike in the surrounding mountains. But be aware that the road can be quite narrow and winding in places, so it's not recommended for nervous drivers or those who get car sick easily. However, if you're up for the challenge, the drive is well worth it.
Boulders Beach is home to a colony of African Penguins, which are also known as Jackass Penguins because of their distinctive braying calls. There are around 2,500 penguins living here, and they are as cute as they are clumsy. One of the coolest things about visiting the Boulders Penguin Colony is that you can get up close and personal with these little guys. There is a boardwalk that winds through the colony, and you can walk right past the penguins as they waddle around, preen themselves, and occasionally squabble with each other. Of course, it's important to respect the penguins and their habitat. You aren't allowed to touch them or feed them, but that doesn't mean you won't want to take a million pictures of them. Trust me, they are very photogenic! If you're lucky, you might even get to see some penguin chicks, which are absolutely adorable. They are covered in soft, fuzzy down feathers and are often seen begging for food from their parents.
Muizenberg is a laid-back suburb situated in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa. Known for its idyllic beaches and laid-back atmosphere, Muizenberg has become a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike. One of the highlights of Muizenberg is its famous beach, which is perfect for surfers of all levels. The waves are reliable and consistent, making it a great spot for beginners to learn how to ride the waves. If surfing isn't your thing, you can always take a leisurely stroll along the beach or enjoy a picnic with family and friends. Another must-see attraction in Muizenberg is Surfer's Corner, a bustling strip of cafes and restaurants located right on the beachfront. Here you can enjoy a delicious meal while soaking up the sun and taking in the stunning ocean views.
Located at the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa, the Cape of Good Hope is a rocky headland that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean. It's a popular tourist destination that attracts millions of visitors every year. The Cape of Good Hope is known for its stunning coastal views, rugged terrain, and diverse wildlife. Visitors have the opportunity to see a variety of animals, including baboons, ostriches, and even whales during the annual migration season. If you're a nature lover, you won't want to miss out on the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, which is home to over 1,100 plant species. History buffs will appreciate the Cape of Good Hope's rich history. The Portuguese navigator, Bartolomeu Dias, was the first European to reach the Cape in 1488, and it later served as a halfway point for Dutch ships traveling to the Dutch East Indies. It's also been an important navigation landmark for centuries due to its treacherous waters and unpredictable weather.
t's a quaint and charming little town located on the eastern side of the Cape Peninsula. Simonstown is known for its rich naval history, which is reflected in the numerous museums, monuments, and Victorian-style buildings that line the streets. If you're a history buff, you'll definitely want to take a stroll down St. George's Street and visit the Simonstown Museum. But that's not all there is to see and do in Simonstown. You can also take a swim at the beautiful Boulders Beach, home to a colony of cute little African penguins. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, you can hop on a boat tour to Seal Island to get up close and personal with some of the Cape's resident seals. And of course, you can't leave Simonstown without trying some of the local seafood. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes that serve up fresh fish and chips, lobster, calamari, and other tasty dishes.
For starters, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. You've got these huge, gorgeous mountains as the backdrop, and then the ocean right in front of you. It's seriously something else. Plus, there are some great beaches in the area where you can chill out and soak up the sun. But it's not just about the views - there's plenty to do in Hout Bay too. If you're into hiking, there are some insane trails nearby that will take you right up into the mountains. And if you're feeling brave, you can even try your hand at abseiling or rock climbing. For something a little more laid back, there are some awesome cafes and restaurants in the area. I highly recommend grabbing a coffee and some brekkie at the Hout Bay Coffee Roastery - the food and drinks are top notch. Finally, if you're after some epic souvenir shopping, you have to check out the Bay Harbour Market. It's got everything from clothing to jewellery to local crafts, and the vibe is so cool.
Camps Bay is famous for its pristine white sand beaches and crystal-clear blue ocean water. The scenery is breathtaking, and you'll often find people taking their morning or evening walks along the beach promenade. If you're feeling adventurous, there's plenty to do in Camps Bay. You can take a dip in the ocean, surf the waves, go kayaking, or even take a hike up Lion's Head for an incredible view of the bay. When it comes to dining and nightlife, Camps Bay has got you covered. You'll find a vast array of restaurants and bars, offering everything from casual beachside eats to fine dining experiences. The palm-lined street is buzzing with energy, and it's a great place to grab a drink with friends or mingle with the locals.
his charming coastal town is located on the southern coast of the Cape Peninsula, just a short drive from the city center. Noordhoek is famous for its stunning natural scenery, including a beautiful beach with soft sand and crystal-clear waters. Whether you're looking to sunbathe on the beach, swim in the sea, or go for a leisurely stroll, Noordhoek beach has something for everyone. In addition to its beautiful beach, Noordhoek is also home to a number of excellent restaurants, cafes, and bars. Whether you're in the mood for a casual lunch, a romantic dinner, or a night out with friends, you'll find plenty of great options to choose from here.

We had the most amazing day with Cyril driving us around the wonderful sights on the Peninsula. We are so grateful to have been able to go on this trip, as for a while it looked like it wouldn't happen, but it did and it was awesome. Thoroughly recommend Wanderer, customer service is beyond our wildest expectations. Thank you team, and to Cyril.
Thank you so sooo much for such a wonderful journey in Cape Town! Everything was perfectly arranged and truly exceeded our expectations. The team is amazing—super friendly, professional, and always helpful. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of throughout the trip. Especially the guides : Mr. Darlington and Mr. Frederick thank you so much. Wanderers Tours is definitely a trusted and reliable travel agent. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cape Town! THANK YOU again and wishing your team continued success!
I’ve traveled extensively around the world, and this Cape Peninsula Tour was genuinely one of the best private tours I have ever taken. From the moment I was picked up, everything was seamless, professional, and personalized. The itinerary was perfectly curated, taking in incredible highlights such as Bo-Kaap, Hout Bay, Chapman’s Peak Drive, Cape Point, the Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Penguin Colony, and Muizenberg. Every stop was breathtaking, and the pace allowed me to truly enjoy each location without feeling rushed. What made this experience exceptional was my guide, Darlington Kanyowa. His knowledge, professionalism, and friendly personality made the day unforgettable. He went above and beyond to customize the experience, share local insights, answer questions, and ensure I had the best possible visit. It felt more like exploring with a knowledgeable friend than being on a tour. I especially appreciated the small-group, VIP-style experience. It offered flexibility, comfort, and a level of personal attention that large tours simply cannot provide. The value was outstanding as well. The price was very reasonable for the quality of service, private transportation, and customized experience provided. If you’re visiting Cape Town and want a truly memorable day exploring the Cape Peninsula, I highly recommend Wanderer Tours & Travel and specifically request Darlington as your guide. This was a five-star experience from start to finish, and one I will remember for years to come. 🌍🇿🇦✨
We received a very personal experience which included all the places we wanted to visit . A very enjoyable boat trip to Seal Island Chapmans peak A lovely lunch at Simonstown at Berthas restaurant. A fantastic visit to Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope And on our way back to Cape Town we popped into see the Ostrich farm . Fredrick was a superb guide who was very attentive throughout the day . Fredrick was very informative on a range of subjects which even included music 🎵. We cannot imagine a better guide . We strongly recommend this tour company for value , quality and service .
Our trip with Rowan was honestly one of the best guided experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment the journey started, it felt like we were traveling with someone we could trust completely. He’s incredibly personable, easy to talk to, and the kind of guide who instantly puts you at ease. Rowan went far beyond what any guide is expected to do. He made sure we always had great food and comfortable accommodations, and he checked in constantly to see if there was anything we needed. At one point, he even surprised us with local biltong beef jerky without us ever asking (it tasted amazing!). Little things like that showed how thoughtful he is and how much he cares about making the experience special. Rowan always first paints an intriguing historical and cultural perspective of the locations, and then gives us some space to explore on our own. Perfectly balanced and very professional. The car we traveled in was spotless, really comfortable, and clearly well taken care of. It made the long drives relaxing, which is something we appreciated more than we expected. On top of all this, his photography skills are genuinely impressive. The pictures and videos he took for us turned out amazing, and trying to choose our favorites has been almost impossible because there are so many great ones. Everyone back home loved them too. Rowan is THE superstar guide of Cape Town. Someone you can trust, someone who brings warmth, professionalism and real passion into what he does. He truly went above and beyond to make our journey unforgettable. We would recommend him to absolutely anyone visiting Cape Town. Highly, highly recommended. 10/10
After sending a tentative enquiry, Aziza arranged an amazing trip for us. It was our first time in Cape Town and wanted a taste of everything. We did the City Tour with Darlington who was great and then The Peninsular tour and then headed to the garden route via wine tasting in Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. Tash was our driver and guide from cape town onwards and was just amazing. Very knowledgeable, considerate with a great sense of humour. We loved the elephants, penguins, seals zip line and everything in between.
We booked two tours with wanderer tours whilst in capetown and they didn't dissapoint. Would highly recommend.Tashreeq our guide was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Nothing was a bother to him.
I had a great time in Cape Town. Since the very start things were well organised and all went smoothly. My guide called Faizel was very professional, caring and thoughtful. He dedicated his time to follow not only the plan but also some wishes I had such as a short shopping or going to the Chemist. I recommend this agency because as a single traveler things must be well done in order to feel safe and to enjoy the trip. It was the case! Thank you!!
There is no better way to start your holiday in Cape Town than with "Wanderer". We discussed our wishes with the office (Aziza) in advance by email and were recommended this tour. If you are visiting Cape Town for the first time and want to see as much as possible, this is a good choice. Our guide (Nwabisa) picked us up at the hotel at the agreed time and we took a short walk along the Seal Island Hout Bay (we skipped the boat trip as we weren't sure if there would be enough tourists for a boat trip that day), then along Chapmans Peak Drive to the penguin colony at Boulders Beach, up to the Old Cape Point Lighthouse with the Cape Point Funicular and finally to the Cape of Good Hope. We also did a chocolate and wine pairing at Groot Constantia, which was a great little highlight. Throughout the tour, which lasted about 7 hours, Nwabisa was on hand to answer all our questions, take photos and tell us a lot about the city and country of South Africa. Thank you so much for this great day and for booking the restaurant you recommended to round off a great day.
Excellent Service! Customized iterinary including airport pick up to drop off!! Comfy Van with a very friendly and knowledgeble driver/guide, Faizal. Che(owner) met us at the airport and also met us a couple of times and constantly checked in! Awesome experience!!
Best in Cape Town Tours. We did a customised personalised tour and also availed their other services. The entire team is too and take care of each & everything. They arranged for Airport Pickup, Customised tour, reservations along with booking service. They just made our cape trip a truely memorable. Going out of the way to make sure thar their customers are more than Happy and go home with wonderful memories.
We have just returned from a wonderful 12 day through South Africa, landing in Johannesburg and on to Cape Town via Stellenbosch. We were looked after so well from start to finish by Che, Faizel, Nwabisa and the whole team. From organising our transfers to airports, hotels, restaurants and rugby stadia to informative, relaxed tours through each of the regions. They couldn’t do enough for us. We felt so well looked after, particularly by Faizel, as he saw us for most days over our final week! He is so professional, a great source of local knowledge, warm and cheerful. We felt lucky to have him accompanying us through Stellenbosch and Cape Town. To be fair to the company, each member of staff we met, and the local guides they hooked us up with in the townships, was top class! This company will go above and beyond to make your stay in SA a memorable one!
I cannot compliment Che and Faizel enough for the private all day tour they helped us plan and guided us on! Che helped us put together a full day of must-see stops on and off the beaten path. We were thrilled to be able to incorporate sight seeing that wasn’t available on some of the larger group tours out there. Che was super responsive in the planning process. Our tour guide for the day, Faizel, was prompt, incredibly professional, and very informative. We felt well taken care of with Faizel. At each stop, he helped us out of the car, walked us to where we needed to be, identified where he was going to park and wait for us, and where to meet him when we were done with each stop. Throughout the day, we revised our itinerary based on his suggestions and things that we were loving and wanted to stay longer at. He provided so much South African and personal history throughout our drives that absolutely enhanced our experience.
It was during a zoom call in April of 2020 that my husband surprised me with a trip to South Africa, planned for September, for my 65th birthday. The main destination was Thula Thula Game Reserve, (a dream of mine after reading the books), with plans to arrive in Cape Town and spend a few days making the time adjustment. No one could have predicted our trip would be delayed by 3 years due to COVID... I am not a planner....but my daughter is! In Feb. 2023 we met a family from South Africa. They insisted we must spend more than a few days in Cape Town and spent hours talking with us about their country. They also stressed we should have a driver! Well, my daughter ran with their advice and found Che Watson, Wanderer Tours and Travel. Che prepared an incredible 6-night, 7-day, all inclusive itinerary, (excluding food and alcohol!), for us that was beyond our wildest dreams or expectations! Che even designed a personal website: “Susi Sorts Out Her Mom”, which detailed our accommodations, cost, daily itinerary (which included narratives and photos of all our planned destinations), maps, and general information about South Africa such as currency, food and drink advice, climate and weather, clothing and dress recommendations and internet. Our itinerary included a driver/tour guide and transport to and from the airport. After about 24 hours of travel we landed in Cape Town, and true to his word, Che and Faizel were waiting when we walked out of baggage claim, holding a sign with our names on it. I knew immediately we were in great hands! Che and Faizel drove us to the Radisson Red and made sure we were checked in and settled. The Radisson Red was the perfect location, but more importantly, the staff there were amazing making us feel welcome and taking great care of us the entire time! With our travel we actually had 5 full days in Cape Town, 4 of them with full itineraries planned with Faizel! Faizel was our guide for the week and there are not enough accolades to describe him! He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, flexible, accommodating, and attentive, not to mention a great driver! Although I had read extensively about the areas we were going to visit, Faizel shared more information and was a better source than anything I had read. His knowledge of the history and intricacies of the areas was impressive to say the least! Faizel was also great company! We really enjoyed getting to know him a bit. He was present but always unobtrusive and had to be coaxed into joining us for a meal! He was always early and never rushed, no matter how long our day went! We had never hired a private driver before and although our week with Wanderer was incredibly reasonable, Faizel was truly a luxury of comfort! He always had water for us and frequently checked to see if we needed/wanted to stop. We were able to relax, not having to figure out how to get somewhere, to be able to take things in the car with us “just in case” without having to cart them everywhere we went. Our tours of the Cape Town area and peninsula involved a fair amount of driving, but Faizel managed to take different routes to and from each destination so we were treated to incredible scenery along the way every day! The mountainous area is breathtaking and the hundreds of photos we took simply serve to spark our memories! Our days were so full that I kept a journal and I am very happy I did!! A FEW of the highlights of our week included Seal Island, Chapman’s Peak, Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Penguin Colony, Hermanus Whale Cruise and Walk, lunch at Bientang’s Cave, the Cheetah Outreach, and of course, Table Mountain! We also managed to get a few wineries in!! Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not read our itinerary and our first day was cloudy, cool and a bit drizzly. Our plans to start our Cape Town journey with a trip up Table Mountain did not make sense – but no worries, Faizel and Che suggested a city tour instead, promising that whenever the mountain cleared we would get there! Faizel watched the weather daily, even hourly, ready to adjust our plans at any time.....well, Mother Nature waited until our last day! Faizel and Che stayed in touch and Faizel could see from where we were in wine country that the mountain had cleared!! We decided to forego our last winery and head for the mountain! Che called to let us know the lines were quite long, not surprising given the sudden change in weather, and asked if we wanted to upgrade our tickets to the fast lane – which of course we did! Che forwarded the tickets to my phone so when Faizel dropped us at the entrance we were ready to go! Table Mountain was truly beyond our wildest expectations! There are simply no words to describe it! Faizel and Che ended our week with dinner at Camps Bay watching the sun set over the ocean. It was a perfect ending to a perfect week! Faizel dropped us at the airport the next morning to continue on to Thula Thula. It was sad to say good-bye, though he will always hold a special place in our heart and I am hoping to stay in touch. Faizel and Che, Wanderer Tours, turned our “stop” in Cape Town to an adventure we will treasure the rest of our lives. There are no words to thank them properly!
My family and I loved the Cape Peninsula Tour! It allows you to see so much in a day, even with a limited time in Cape Town. The whole drive is gorgeous, but the Cape of Good Hope and Chapman’s Peak are spectacular. We also stopped at a lovely place for lunch. Che is a gem—smart, personable, and a ton of fun! He’s an awesome guide but also gave us space and time to enjoy each stop as a family. He went above and beyond to rearrange our route based on the weather, so we could have the best experience possible. We ended up booking with Wanderer again for last minute transportation to Franschhoek. You can’t beat traveling in their Mercedes SUV. Highly recommend!
Our trip to Cape Town was originally discussed in 2019, pre Pandemic. Che Watson's communication via email and WhatsApp was extraordinary then, and when we rebooked in 2022 the attention to detail was amazing. We were a party of 3 adults, and Che organised a 6 night 5 day all inclusive experience that was out of this world. Absolutely fabulous, in every way. Che's insight, planning and communication are second to none, and what he came up with was not only perfectly planned, but incredibly reasonably priced. At all times we knew exactly where we were going, what we would be doing, and the time lines involved. Our costs for the week were completely covered by the inits payment; our only extras were meals and personal spending. Our guide for the week, Faizal, made absolutely sure that our every need was met, and made every effort to show us extra little things that elevated our memories. Being told that we were the most important people in his life for that week was very special. Faizal ensured all requests were met, and he was completely professional in every way. Essentially, we did 4 day tours, (with one free day where we easily occupied ourselves in the V and A waterfront) with wonderful accomodation arranged at the Radisson Red Hotel (perfect location at the V and A, and funkily fabulous!) for 6 nights, including breakfast. Our Mercedes E class was wonderfully comfortable and the attention of our own Private Guide for the entire time made us feel special and safe. 1. Che collected us at the airport mid afternoon, and had us organised for an amazing Seafood restaurant that evening. A sunset at Camps Bay was a treat. 2. Cape Town City tour: we started out with wonderful views from the top of Table Mountain, followed by private guides at Bo Kaap, the District 6 Museum, and the Castle of Good Hope, who enlightened us with wonderful personal insights. We passed by many landmarks and even had time for a shopping experience at the Green Street Market, which was great. 3. Cape Point tour : We saw seals and penguins, and had a great seafood lunch in Simons Town. After arranging personal requests to see Newlands Cricket ground, and time at Kirstenbosch gardens, we tasted great wines at Groot Constantia winery. Then the bucket list of seeing the Cape of Good Hope was stunning: Faizal spent a huge day driving. 4. The Langa Township tour with a former resident, and Robben Island tour with a former political prisoner, were sobering, but "must do" experiences. They rounded out everything we had learned at Bo Kaap and the District 6 museum. A suggested evening meal at a fascinating Indian restaurant we would never have found by ourselves was an absolute treat. 5. Hermanus and Stellenbosch day: whales and wine: what a great way to end our time in this beautiful region. Che and Faizal ensured we were safe, cared for, treated with amazing courtesy and care, and organised everything efficiently, pleasantly and professionally. No request was too difficult, the attention to detail and smooth flowing itinerary each day made our holiday a memory of a lifetime. We cannot recommend Wanderers Tours and Travel highly enough, and are already planning a return. Wanderers Tours and Travel are the one and only company to consider for a safe, comprehensive and fun filled time in this beautiful city.
Although the weather was not the best, the tour operator Faizel made my day. He was helpful and patient in showing me Cape Point and also the coast, including the African penguins reserve and Simon's Town. Faizel also knows Cape Town very well, giving me a lot of interesting info about this wonderful city. I thank the whole Wanderer Tours team very much for their availability and precision in the details of this tour. I hope one day to return to Cape Town.
Don't hesitate; book Wanderer Immediately! This was our first trip to Cape Town, and certainly not our last. Che', along with his trusted professional team (Rafeeq and Faizel) made sure our time in the 'Mother City' would be rewarding, adventurous, historic and mostly memorable. From our initial meeting Che' made me and my wife feel like we were part of a foreign delegation, from arrangements to changes to surprises, too, along the way. Rafeeq and Faizel are both knowledgeable and educational in all things Cape Town...I mean...we hit all the spots, while being informed in the who, what, where, when, why and hows. A big highlight of our trip was an impromptu visit to a high school in the Langa Township, where I actually taught a brief classroom lesson..."who does that?!" Wanderer does! We've taken several international trips, but the personal, private tour aspect with Wanderer made for such a more fulfilling experience. Looking for a good drink spot - they got you; left a shopping bag in the Mercedes - they have it; early morning tour set up - they're outside waiting. From your initial consultation to your last day goodbyes, you will know you chose the right company.
Wow! What an amazing 8 days in Cape Town (& surrounding areas). I travelled with my mother who is less able and required assistance throughout our stay. I cannot thank Che and Faisal (our guide/ driver) enough for going over and above to accommodate us and help give my mum the best experience given her mobility. We chose to use Che's team for the majority of the stay, he put together an incredible bespoke intineary covering most things you should do in CT and peripherally. He routinely changed the intineary based on the weather, our preferences and mums daily rest requirements to ensure that we got the best experience (lots of sunshine) at each stop and the most out of each day. He left no stoned unturned when hunting out the finest experiences to include a safari at Gondwana. He made daily food recommendations and stayed in touch on our rest days. In fact, he went out of his way to swing by just to say hello and make sure we reached dinner venues safely. We felt safe, comfortable and looked after. A big shout out to Faisal, who remained professional and patient. A guide and driver turned photographer was a bonus, we captured some epic images together. Wanderer made this trip, one to remember. Please do not visit CT without connecting with Che, at best, you will book a truly bespoke tour with all the trimmings, great eating places and fun experiences. At worst, you will make a great friend! Thank you guys - you are an asset to CT travel!!!
What was meant to be a couple of days of tours through Cape Town, turned into almost a week of incredible site seeing and many adventures! Che and his incredible guides organized and executed days of well planned out and fun trips that really helped us see everything that the beautiful Cape Town area had to offer! Spending your days with Wanderer is like spending your day with good friends or family. Every adventure includes so many stops to beautiful locations and hidden gems you wouldn't otherwise get to experience! Vehicles are clean, luxurious and comfortable. All guides have extensive knowledge of the area, and do a great job sharing the history of the people. Prior to our arrival, we had a wine tour booked through airbnb experiences. This experience was cancelled on us at the last minute, and Che was able to put together a new tour for us the very next day! We spent another incredible day with Wanderer in wine country, with unique pairings and stunning vineyard locations based on our specific interests. Wanderer's flexibility and ability to customize tours to their specific clients, really make a difference! Wanderer Tours elevated our vacation and we are walking away from our time in Cape Town with so much love for the people and places they introduced us to during our stay. We cannot say enough about our experiences with Wanderer Tours! And cannot wait to return to Cape Town and the incredible family at Wanderer Tours one day. Special shout out to Rafiek, for making every trip so great, and capturing so many memories for us. We miss spending our days with you, and will never forget our lekker experiences!!
We had a tour booked with these guys for the end of a week long event in Cape Town. Our participants were from all over Africa and many of them had never been to South Africa before. The tour was fantastic, we got taken to so many places and were never rushed. Our tour guides Rafique and Nabisa were really friendly and looked after everyone really well. Their local knowledge is beyond compare, Nabisa told us so many interesting things about the local area and people and even sang us a song in Xhosa! They took lots of photos which they shared afterwards and were just brilliant company and really knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend this company for a great day out.
I had linked in with Wanderer tours before leaving the UK because the trip we were on left us with a number of days in Cape Town which we wanted to use wisely. Why didn't we use the trips that were on offer via the cruise line. Simple answer cost and we needed to use the time more wisely. An excellent route to take because slap bang in the middle of our time in Cape Town I ended up in hospital for 12 hours having to take a batch of checks which eventually identified that I had contracted a bug that was making its rounds in CapeTown. The friendliness not only of the guide but the backroom staff made the whole trip to Cape Town very enjoyable with the bonus of being able to make use of the company's contacts to circumvent the horrendously long queues getting to the top of Table Top Mountain and back down again. Similarly we were able to quickly book a trip to Robyn Island that had been cancelled the day before. Rather than the cancelled boat to Robyn Island leaving us with a dead day we were quickly able to reschedule with Wanderer tours and spend the rest of the day touring vineyards.
A wonderful day exploring the beauty of the Cape. A few wonderful surprises along the way too. Relaxed, but the day was filled with wonderful sights. From penguins at Boulders Beach to Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. A drive around the bays, Chapmans Peak and Camps Bay. We even a cheeky wine tasting with lunch. A truly memorable day. Thanks you. See you when we return to Cape Town in a couple of weeks we hope.
Wanderer was an excellent choice for me as a solo traveler. Che and his team were flexible, knowledgable and made my week in Cape Town lots of fun!! The peninsula tour and the trip to Hermanus to watch whales breaching from a boat and from land were absolutely phenomenal.
Everything about our Peninsula tour with Che was brilliant. His communication is great, picked us up on time, he adapted the day to suit us, he told us things about South Africa and the peninsula we found fascinating and he tried his hardest to find a an elusive zebra at Cape Point. The tour itself was unforgettable we were blessed with perfect weather & everyone in our group of 5 loved it. We would highly recommend Che to anyone travelling to Cape Town.
A fantastic good guidance in choosing the right excursions for our family. We have booked: day Hermanus (whales) + horseback riding / day Cape Good Hope + Penguins / day hike Cable mountain and bike tour Stellenbosch Very friendly and quick answers via mail. Correct handling of our file. Once on site, everything went smoothly. Very sweet and experienced drivers and a fantastic experience to discover Capetown with Wanderer. We will definitely be back!
Two days experience very well organized. Rafiq followed us , guided , with professionalism , sympathy and passion . Very available and flexible. Fantastic tour, comfortable and beautiful car!
