Itinerary
Pick up at your accommodation in Cape Town by a private tour guide/driver in a private vehicle as we set off for a full day private guided tour. Today's tour is fully customisable. However, to give you an idea of what can be done, the following attractions have been highlighted...
Enjoy a 30-minute city orientation tour including a stop in the Bo-Kaap to take a photo with the colourful houses. Your personal guide will share stories about the significance of the colourful houses.
Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard passing through Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camp's Bay and stop at Maiden's Cove viewpoint for spectacular photos with pristine beaches and glistening mountains.
An optional stop at the World of Birds sanctuary in Hout Bay will be on offer. World of Birds is the largest bird park in Africa and one of the few large bird parks in the World, with more than 3 000 birds (and small animals) of 400 different species are uniquely presented in more than 100 spacious landscaped walk through aviaries, allowing you the most intimate closeness with nature.
We proceed along the coastal Atlantic route and stop in Hout Bay at the Harbour. Here you may enjoy the option of either taking a 45-minute boat trip to Duiker (Seal) Island to view the seals colony or you may browse the local arts and crafts market to do some shopping.
Charter the boat with Drumbeat Charters and enjoy a shared boat adventure to Duiker (Seal) Island for a close up view of the Cape Fur seals colony. The entire experience lasts for 45-minutes including the journey to and from Duiker Island. We do not recommend this activity if the weather is unfavourable as the ocean can be rough and make for an unpleasant experience.
Chapman's Peak is known as one of the most scenic tour routes in the world. "Chappies", as it is often referred to by locals, makes for breathtaking views and photographic opportunities. Benefit from a stop at the Chapman's Peak viewpoint to take a few photos.
A delightful opportunity will be on offer to stop at the picturesque Cape Point Vineyards for a wine tasting of exceptional white wine and scenic beauty. Nestled between mountains and oceans, Cape Point Vineyards is known for their award-winning Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon blend.
The South African Naval base is situated in Simon's Town. An optional stop here to meet the monument of Just Nuisance and hear his enchanting story of how a Great Dane Dog made a name for himself in the South African Navy.
A stop at Boulder's Penguin Colony comes highly recommended as visitors from all over the world travel to see these enchanting African Penguins in their natural habitat. Take a walk along the boardwalk to view up to 2500 penguins in their natural habitat.
The highlight of the day would essentially be the Cape of Good Hope as we will explore the Diaz and Da Gama monuments and take our iconic photo behind the Cape of Good Hope name board. It is believed that visiting Cape Town and skipping the Cape of Good Hope is like visiting Paris and skipping the Eiffel Tower!
Take a short hike from the Cape of Good Hope to Cape Point lighthouse and see the meeting point of the two oceans currents: Cold Benguela and Warm Agulhas currents. The Two Oceans Restaurant comes highly recommended for an optional lunch, with panoramic views of the ocean.
The Muizenberg colourful beach huts can be seen in the distance as we make our way back to Cape Town along the False Bay coastal road and via the Ou Kaapse Weg.
Drop off will be at your accommodation in Cape Town after the tour or at a restaurant of your choice if you have a dinner reservation, within the City bowl area.

Jeff was very knowledgeable, very helpful and friendly. he took us from capetown to the cape of good hope, we did a tour to seal island directly in the morning, our crew was the first one there thanks to jeff's timing, and we continued over chapmans peak drive to simonstown, to the cape of good hope and then to boulders beach to see the penguins. there was a beautiful lunch sport reserved for us and on the way back we stopped at st james beach and bo kaap. the conversations with jeff were great and he was able to create space for the group to connect as well. would definitely book with them again.
Very nice day with an excellent guide/driver ! Thank you Captain Gift !
Wonderful day! Nathan was a great guide and the driver was professional and funny. Everything perfetto!
Nice car, good guidance from Jeff and amazing views.
It was a very nice experience, our tour, Sylvie was very knowledgeable and full of energy. Highly recommend!
Great day out on our private tour yesterday with Jeff. He was very professional and well informed and we had a chilled out day sightseeing at our own pace. Thanks
It was an amazing tour with stunning views, delicious food and our professional guide Gordon. It was a journey full of “wow”s.
We had such an amazing day with Mena as our guide! He was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure everything went perfectly. We got to see some stunning places. Thank you for all the interesting stories and background information, we learned a lot along the way. It really was a wonderful experience — thank you so much, Mena! We’re very grateful and can wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone. Warm greetings from Bosnia, Edin & Sedina
Jeff was amazing. He was very friendly, chatty and knowledgeable. We were able to customise our trip to suit our wants/needs. Jeff had lots of history to share with us along our journey, and was more than happy to give us as much time as we wanted at each location. He knew the best photo spots and was our personal photographer. We would highly recommend this service to anyone wanting to explore Cape Town without being on a busy bus with a strict schedule.
We enjoyed our private tour with Ruben. He was on time to our hotel, confirmed what things we wanted to see and do, and immediately started out giving us background on the city, country and what we were going to see. Ruben’s encyclopedic knowledge of dates (down to the specific day/ not just the year!) added to the information he shared about each and every site. In addition he was enthusiastic about finding us ideal photo spots and taking as many pictures as we wanted. As Table Mountain was closed for upkeep, he offered to take us over to Signal Point and went above and beyond with recommendations and information. I would highly recommend doing a tour with Ruben!
Alex, our very capable, professional, and highly educated driver, provided us with a delightful first day in Cape Town. He kindly followed the ideas we had and added his own! We saw the city of Cape Town and its surroundings, like Bo Kapp, Chapman’s Peak, the Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point, and the Penguins at Boulder. Alex was our photographer as well as our guide and took outstanding photos of us with dramatic backgrounds! We welcomed him at lunch at Two Oceans and at lunch and throughout the day, we enjoyed his company and getting to know him. He is so well versed in the history of South Africa and we learned so much from Alex! We recommend him 1000 percent!! We saw everything in the luxury of a Mercedes and it was an easy and pleasant day. Thank you so much for the experience of a lifetime.
The tour was very nice, you visit many places to get an idea of the Cape Town and its attractions in the surroundings. Our Guide was very good, always punctual and very detailed in explaining everything. Very good Silvye!!
it was awesome, Lina and Kyle were excellent! We saw a lot and also had a lot of fun, Lina even remembered all the names and we were 18 people - hats off! Unique experience and we will definitely recommend it
We had a great day that allowed us to see beautiful things from Cape Town and surroundings. Sylvie's an outstanding guide, at the top. Very nice and funny. Knows all the workings of the excursion. I will recommend to my loved ones and friends and colleagues.
Our visit was pleasant under the management of our Gift Guide which was remarkable! Between anecdotes and stories of the places visited, Gift gave us an immersive experience at all our stops. I recommend this activity in small committee which also allowed us to meet wonderful passengers with whom we sympathized and exchanged a lot! Thanks also to them, they will recognize themselves on the photo 🫶🏽
We were traveling with poison one day from Cape Town to Cape of Good Hope and back. Gift was very savvy both historically and geographically as a guide. In the car you feel safe, a prudent driver. Poison is reliable and accommodating, he considers his guests. Whether you want to drink coffee, one or the other wants to skip additionally/. You can decide for yourself, you are asked. We have had a private guide before, poison is among the best. Would definitely recommend him. Peter
