This trip was exceptional and exceeded my expectations. We arrived at the penguins early prior to other tours so you had time to get photos and appreciate the experience. Sam was very knowledgeable and provided us with the history as we went between places. He also stopped at some amazing spots for photo opportunities. Cape of Good Hope we spent the time required to take in the landscape. We stopped at Blue Waters for an incredible dining experience and this really made the trip. Highly recommended this trip as we bet all the other tours to get the best views. He stopped to take pictures of us and we could change the itinerary as we desired.
Great experience. We loved our private tour. It was great seeing the penguins and all the great sites. Thank you!
Samuel was an outstanding guide from start to finish. Samuel made sure of good communication the day before and collected us on time and in comfort. Samuel provided an outstanding and awesome commentary on all the stops. He was very very interesting and interested. A winning combination. He ensured fantastic photo opportunities and tailored the trip to our needs. He made the day perfect by getting us a reservation on the day at a usually booked out restaraunt. Incredible service. Book this tour with this guide. You absolutely will not regret it!
We had a great day out, such a wonderful experience with stunning views on Chapman's peak, our guide Samuel was very impressive and knowledgeable. We learn so much about the South African History and he had a lot of interesting information that he shared with us. He Couldn't stop asking if we have any questions and that made us feel happy. It was a great way to see so many sites. We definitely recommend Samuel
We had a full day trip around the table Mountain to the Cape of good hopes with Sam today. He is the perfect Guide. Great knowledge. A lot of extra Information and stops and he Even was our own private Photographer. Impressive day Trip. Thank you for this wonderful experience, the Great Choice for stops and the idyllic Restaurant you chose for us. We will book again with Sam and spent more time here next time.
Samuel our tour guide/ driver met us at the Cruise terminal as planned, even though we were late after being held up by the Port immigration. Samuel was polite and courteous from the outset. He spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable and informative about the City, Africa and the wildlife. He had a planed itinerary covering most of the main things to see but checked with us that this was what we wanted and was totally flexible with any changes. We had the perfect day with Samuel and I would rate him as an excellent tour guide. I would highly recommend him for cruise ship passengers as he was very aware of the need to be returned to the cruise terminal in plenty of time.
We had the most amazing day exploring the Cape Town area on our full day private tour with our extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and pleasant tour guide Samuel Isaac! He adapted the tour to our needs, allowed time for our million and one pictures, questions and we agreed on doing our tour in reverse so we avoided crowds and traffic. We are seasoned travelers who appreciate sights, tour guide personalities/niceties and great food which Samuel excelled at all. We stopped for lunch at Imhoff's Farm, an amazing small eatery, winery and shops where the wine and food were excellent and very reasonably priced with serene beautiful views. The penguins were my favorite stop although its is rather windy so I recommend you wear sunglasses and long sleeves because you will get sand blasted... but make no mistake, no tourist was deterred from taking in the views or pictures. Finally, we can highly recommend this tour and our guide Samuel Isaac who speaks impeccable English with only a slight accent which made it so much more enjoyable as we did not have to second guess what he said - and he doubles as a photographer!!!
We had an excellent private tour around Cape Town with our guide, Samuel. He was an exceptionally skilled driver and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating facts throughout the journey. Samuel was also very approachable and happy to answer any questions, making the experience even more enjoyable. Our tour included visits to Seal Island, the Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point, Boulders Bay to see the penguins, and an ostrich farm. He even offered to take us to Table Mountain, but we had visited the day before. Nothing was too much trouble for him—his flexibility and enthusiasm made the day truly special. Highly recommend this tour and Samuel as a guide!
We had a great tour around the cape peninsula with our guide Sam. He is very knowledgeable about both the sites we were visiting as well as the rich history of South Africa and Cape Town. Being our first visit to the country, we were very interested in knowing more than just going to the different spots; having a private tour allowed us to do things at our pace and skip some of the things we had done the night before, such as Table Mountain. Sam has a very easy going and gleeful attitude. He showed up on time, and based in the order on which he makes the different stops, we beat the crowds every single time; we virtually had 0 queues nor traffic’s jams on any of the places we visited. We visited Bo-Kaap, Fish Hoek, Boulders Beach (and the penguins); the cape of good hope and the lighthouse; we had lunch at Imhoff Farm and we ended the trip at chapman’s peak and hout bay. All in all it was a great day trip and a great guide, will recommend it to my friends when they will visit.
Very nice day with Sam! He picked us up (on time) at our accommodation, and straight away welcomed us with a huge smile! We got to see the whole peninsula, and were able to adjust based on time and preferences. Of course the location is incredible, and the beauty speaks for itself. That said, Sam had a great plan for the day allowing us to skip queues (on a Sunday) and really nice conversations educating us on SA's history and potential future. We picked this tour because there was the option to skip Table Mountain which we had already done. Super happy to have met Sam, we wish him the best and thank him for sharing his passion with us.
We had the all day tour with our tour guide Samuel. He arrived exactly on time at our designated pickup spot, and he began the tour telling us much of the history and culture of South Africa and Cape Town. His information was entertaining and very educational for those of us who do not have a working knowledge of South African history. Samuel stopped for us at many places for photo opportunities, along with his continued information about the area and history. I will also add that Samuel is an excellent driver, and he drove us around the towns and mountain roads with the utmost caution and observance. The day was a great adventure with all the venues on the tour, and a great learning experience with Samuel’s area and historical knowledge. I highly recommend this tour of the Cape of Good Hope and all of its associated venues along the route. If you are lucky enough to get Samuel as your guide, you’ll especially enjoy the experience.
Samuel guided us through fascinating sites that we've only dreamed of visiting. We so enjoyed his historical information, amusing stories, and captivating personality. Samuel catered the tour to our interests. It was a great day with a great new friend. We strongly recommend seeing the best sites Capetown has to offer with Samuel.
At the outset I was impressed by the genuine warmth of Samuel when he picked me up my my hotel. On our way to the hotel he outlined where we and the two others who joined would be going and what we would be seeing. What impressed me were the questions he asked to see if we had any agendas or any predispositions. His attention to the details of what were we seeing was impressive. What impressed me as well was the fact that throughout the day he was talking with and nit at to to us. He was patient in his explanations and he would ask questions to us in such a way so that we got to understand that he wanted us to get the full impact of what we were seeing. As someone who as a profession spends time questioning people I was impressed by the fact that there were things that he did not know, and freely admitted the same instead of (as so many guides do) pull some explanation out of the air and hope it satisfies. His explanations were in a conversational manner as distinct from so many other guides who simply worked from memorized scripts. On some of the stops when we were approached by street vendors selling wares I suspect turned out at some mill, Sam would look at us and subtlety shake hi head as a signal. As someone who is a little older I am thankful that Sam took care to help me with an arm when I was a little unsteady, treating me, not as a client, but as an older member of his family. AND Sam is an excellent driver. I felt thoroughly safe in his hands. I will be back to Capetown sooner rather than later later and Sam is my 'go to' person in Capetown. Samuel, thank you for a superb day.
Our private tour was led by our amazing guide Samuel who started the day by picking us up from our accommodations and was able to get us to Boulder Beach right before the big crowds arrived to see the penguins. That alone was totally worth the booking. We then continued our tour down the cape peninsula where Samuel was accommodating in stopping at points of interests along the route. He was also a wealth of information and passionate to teach us about the beautiful landscape, the history of Cape Town, and the past and current struggles in South Africa post Apartheid. The private tour is the best way to experience the Cape of Good Hope due to cellphone service and Uber/car ride service unreliability. Thank you Samuel to a wonderful day and I would encourage anyone to request Samuel specifically.
I did Cape Peninsula Tour and got excellent and existing experience with our tour guide Samuel. He was very much knowledgable about culture and history and was very informative about all the sites we visited, We recommend Elsam Cape Tours and Travel.
The tour was totally fun! Great highlights, the tour guide told a lot and was able to answer all questions. We laughed a lot!
