Great fun on the boat. Very experienced and knowledgeable guide called Paul. Saw an array of sea life.

We had such a great time with Paul! He was super friendly from the start and made the whole trip really fun. We saw dolphins, penguins, seals and even two whales, which was honestly amazing! 🐬🐋 Paul knew the area really well and was always happy to explain things and answer questions. He also made sure everyone was okay, and I even got to steer the boat myself! Honestly, 10/10 experience. Would definitely recommend it to anyone! Thanks, Paul, for an awesome day! 🙌

ur trip with Paul was nothing short of amazing!! We saw penguins, seals, dolphins and to our surprise many many whales. It could not have been better and Paul really knows his stuff. We will recommend this trip to anyone visiting Cape Town!

This was an incredible experience that everyone should do whilst in Cape Town. Paul was an excellent guide. He was also brilliant at spotting animals and sharing facts about each species. We saw two types of dolphins, seals, penguins, and plenty of humpbacks - I think I counted 10.

Paul was a fantastic guide! He took note of our interests, answered our many questions, and gave us a beautiful and fun boat tour of Cape Town. We saw a ton of dolphins, seals, and penguins! Paul was also extremely knowledgeable and we learned a lot from him about animals and about Cape Town in general. As a bonus, he gave us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do while we are here.

Fantastic experience with very knowledgeable guide/captain. Learned a lot and saw humpback whales, penguins, jellyfish and a seal catching an octopus ,amongst other great sightings. Highly recommended

Great experience seeing animals in their natural habitat. Bring a jacket and sunglasses. Guide was excellent, very organized, knowledgeable and engaged.

We took this trip on our last day before we went to the airport. It was absolutely amazing and our captain Paul was the best! Very knowledgeable about the ocean life and the birds. We saw a rare albatross and it was extraordinary! Even Paul was excited. That together with the seals, penguins, dolphins, and whales it became the best experience we could ask for.

So glad we did this - was an amazing experience, much better than being on one of the "big" tourist boats. Paul was an absolutely fantastic guide, sharing lots of insights about the animals we encountered. We had dolphins and seals (and even penguins) all around us, and were fortunate enough to get fairly close to 7 or 8 whales even in late March. I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids, as it's more of a "rib" style boat, carrying only 7 passengers plus our skipper/guide Paul. However we had lifejackets and I felt safe throughout - riding on seats at the front, and even able to sit on the edge of the boat to see the dolphins playing under the bow. So for 10+ year olds sitting in the middle or the back of the boat I would say fine. A highlight of our Cape Town trip, and one I'd recommend to anyone going!

We have a great time, we were able to see dolphins, whales, seals, and some other creatures like the moon fish, Paul explained very well, he was careful with the wildlife.

This ocean safari was something else. You expect nice views and maybe some wildlife... but this went way beyond that. We even saw a whale splashing. And not even in the season. One of those moments where everyone just goes quiet for a second. Pure luck, but also a sign you're in the right place. What made the whole experience click was Paul. Relaxed, no rush, no forced excitement. Just a calm, confident vibe that fits perfectly when you're on holiday and don't want stress. At the same time, his knowledge and passion for sea life really came through. Not in a heavy, lecture kind of way, but in a way that pulls you in. Even our 9 year old daughter was fully engaged the whole time. That says enough. If you're looking for something real, not overhyped, this is it.

Great experience. We weren’t expecting to see Whales given the time of year but we did. Paul was fantastic very knowledgeable and great with the kids.

It was one of the greatest experiences of my life doing the whale watching tour with Rob. We saw so many wonderful sea wildlife as at least 5 different whales, seals, pinguins, sunfishe. Last but not least we ended the tour inbetween of average 300 dolphins swimming around our boat. Just amazing and not describable. Thank you so much again, Dear Rob

So amazing. Paul did a wonderful job keeping my kids engaged AND finding wildlife they would be excited about while also giving them some educational points. Honestly- would recommend this to anyone with kids. It was amazing.

This was by far the best wildlife boat excursion I've had. Paul.is so knowledgeable and a great spotter of distant whale blow, and reading the scene. We saw, a penguin, a young shark, many seals, dolphin with a new calf and a large number of Southern Right whales....fantastic! Don't waste your money on other choices!!

Our experience was truly unforgettable and a definite highlight of our trip to Cape Town. From start to finish, everything was seamless (even with a fog delay), engaging, and incredibly memorable. A special mention to our guide, Paul, who made the experience exceptional. He is clearly very experienced and extremely knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights while answering all of our questions with patience and enthusiasm. His kind and friendly nature made us feel completely at ease and added so much to the overall enjoyment of the day. The whole experience was fun, well-organized, and deeply enriching. We left with amazing memories and a much greater appreciation for the local ocean wildlife + birds. We would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Cape Town!

It couldn’t have been better. Paul was great!! He was knowledgeable and knew where to find the wildlife. Very attentive and great to listen to. We saw whales, seals , sunfish, jellyfish….He gave good advice on local eateries so great! Would totally do it again! Fran was great and answered our calls immediately.

Very good trip. Whilst we saw a few whales we were hoping to get rather closer.

Rob was a brilliant skipper - incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about marine wildlife and great at pointing us (and driving us!) towards the very many things he spotted. We saw dolphins (which came right up to the boat), southern right whales, comorants, seals (both sunning themselves at sea and climbing up rocks), a sunfish and a humpback whale! We'd never expected to get so lucky. Rob was also very generous with his time, staying out with us a little longer to catch further whale glimpses, and the Ocean Wonder team were very communicative.

Fabulous trip along the coast. We saw several whales (!), seals, and dolphins. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and I found the information helpful and educational. I would do this one again, and have already recommended it to other travelers with limited time in the area.

Exceptional unexpected experience

The trip with Paul was definitely a highlight of our March 26 trip. Paul knew all the great spots and we saw so much more than we were expecting - Southern Right whales, a Humpback whale, dolphins, seals and penguins! If you’re looking for a boat trip focussed on wildlife, Ocean Wonder should be your first choice.

This is the really a 5.0 experience. We went on a small boat with 6 people. Our host was extremely educated and he knows his business, he knows where to go to see wilderness. Let me just put it that way - we saw a jumping whale (of course it’s a pure luck, but still). We also were moving alongside with dolphins, saw swimming seals and birds and penguins. It was truly amazing!

We had an excellent experience from beginning to end. Our guide was exceptional and even allowed us a few extra minutes of whale watching when we saw a humpback whale on our way back to the dock. We saw dolphin, seals, birds, and two different kinds of whales. We learned a good bit about the environment, the habitat, and the local creatures. It was an awesome experience!

This really is a trip of a lifetime and we experienced what can only be described as bucket list stuff!! Whales fully leaving the sea and crashing in to waves, sea lions. Penguins and dolphins Paul who ran the boat was just brilliant and looked us all, and just really cared! We literally have seen things that will stay with us for life!!!

What an amazing day! Perfect weather, cakm ocean and a little bit of fog, that added to the calm serene setting. We saw whales, sunfish, seals, penguins and loads of birds. Paul is knowledgeable and kind, very warm, friendly and made everyone feel comfortable on the boat. I would definitely do it again and recommend this trip to anyone.

Truly exceptional experience with Paul - we were all excited having read the reviews and it did not disappoint - we saw two types of dolphins, a humpback whale, seals, sunfish and penguins. My nine year old daughter could not believe her eyes. Absolute highlight of our trip and worth every penny.

Fantastic experience yesterday with skipper Rob at the helm. Stunning views and plenty to see. We saw penguins, seals and whales!! A southern Right and 2 humpbacks! I had hoped to see whales but knew it was off season so I was absolutely delighted to see them. Boat ride itself was great fun speeding along Definitely bring layers as wind is strong out on the boat. I wore a tracksuit over my shorts, a sweater and a windbreaker jacket, and that was perfect. Thanks to Paul and Rob for the super trip! Throughly enjoyed and would definitely go again when in Cape Town

No words fantastic. A must do for those wanting sealife views and great sea views of Capetown. We saw3 types of dolphin some swimming and chasing our boat, a hump back whale, seals, penguins and a large sun fish. Our captain Paul was great and humorous and full of great information and stories. 10/10

If you wanna know more about the marine animals in Cape Town, highly recommend this tour! Paul is super friendly and knowledgeable. We saw dolphin (which is just next to our boat), penguin, whale and seal. This is hard to find another one like that in Cape Town.

Absolutely great experience you can’t miss. And since Paul is a scientist, he knows what he does, he knows how to not disturb the animals and has all the information you can think of. Absolutely unique

This was simply one of the best and most memorable experiences I've had in my life. Everything from the scenery, wildlife and our wonderful guide Paul was perfect. To be able to see dolphins, seals, penguins and my first ever whale was down to Paul's extensive knowledge and passion for ocean - and I am extremely grateful for everything he did for US!

We were blown away by the humble knowledge and passion shown by Rob, our skipper 👌🙏 what a wonderful experience!! It can't be put into words! You have to experience it yourself. If you love nature and care about it, go! Go without expectations and accept the wonderful world of nature, with a splash of love and adrenaline. Had am amazing 2 hours off Cape Town with Paul. Saw dolphins, seals, penguins and 3 humpback whales all in their natural environment. Felt safe as they delayed start until the weather improved and life jackets were supplied. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and took good care of us. Wrap up warm as it’s cold out there even when its 25C on the beqch.

The trip was incredible. Paul is a wonderful guide with insight into both people and the marine environment. We had great encounters with whales, seals, baby dolphins, penguins and arctic terns. The boat is comfortable and fast. Our animal encounters were both intimate and respectful of the whales space and movements. I highly recommend this experience! What an amazing sea safari with Paul. He took great care of us and made sure the tour was safe and everyone felt good. He has a lot of experience as a guide and great eye for the animals in the water. So we saw whales, dolphins, penguins, seals and sun fishes. It's a small group in a speedboat so the ride is fun as well. And when he says bring layers, better bring them, it really gets cold on the water. All in all an amazing tour with a great guide.
