We really enjoyed the city tour and, in particular, our guide Mee-Aad May’s explanations. He shared so much about Cape Town’s history, culture and people, making the experience much more meaningful and interesting. We were genuinely impressed by how much we learned about the city and its past. Mee-Aad was extremely knowledgeable, engaging and passionate, and he made the tour truly enjoyable. A wonderful experience — highly recommended! ⭐️

On July 13, 2026, Mr. May greeted my wife and I with a firm handshake and genuine smile. Within moments of the tour, Mr. May’s insight caused the unnoticed, yet relevant and awesome historical landscape to come alive. Through his recanting of historical facts and landscape; botanical benefits of controlled burns; and the detailed description of Table Mountain’s formations and herbivore inhabitants, the process of getting to destination (pickup from the hotel to the top of the mountain) became a fascinating journey. Mr. May’s uncanny ability to share relevant facts about the city’s past not only added clarity, but also highlighted the significance of the present landmarks, events, local businesses, and evolving growth. By the end of our guided tour, we had gained knowledge; consumed mouth watering locally crafted pastries; experienced one of the New Seven Wonders of the World: and met a young man who is by far one of the best, most professional and humbly knowledgeable tour guides that we have encounter throughout our international travels. Thank you, Mr. May for hosting a professional, friendly, and enlightening tour. Anyone who books a tour with you is in for a phenomenal experience. Best Wishes, Gerald & Edith Leonard
Great tour Great guide Well worth it Table Mountain Cable Car a must even if you are scared of heights!
The driver/guide was attentive, engaging, considerate, and full of information during this afternoon tour. A general tour of the city areas with a stroll around Bo-Kaap & then on to Table Mountain. Taking the option for the inclusive cable car ticket made the process simple when we arrived, although on our day the queues were not bad the previous day had been over an hour.
A great half day trip which we enjoyed immensely. Our driver, Adneen was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a perfect day for Table Mountain, and gave us an insight into Bo Kaap. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to go back before we left Cape Town.
Unable to visit table mountain due to weather conditions. This company have denied paying me a refund as they stated I could have used the ticket within 7 days . Well we live in London so didn’t have 7 days at our disposal. Plus table mountain was closed on the other occasion we tried to visit the very next day
Great tour! Table Mountain was great as well as the city. The guide was really good and we enjoyed it.
Not too much to say. Saw what I wanted to see. I wasn’t happy that the people who booked this tour canceled and I was the only one. It’s always nice to be with others. But I had private tour.
Hamilton was brilliant. We were lucky enough to share his vehicle with just one other couple. He really took great care of us and I only feel bad that we were to call him Hamilton because we could not say his given name. The only wish I have is that we could have had more time at Table mountain, we went up with prepaid tickets but had less than 20 minutes as we had to be back down in time to leave. Total time time at Table Mountain was only 75 minutes, not enough time to see anything because we had to jump back up into the line to get back down.
Visit to the city hall and the cape of good hope which were very informative and educational, I've learned a lot about SA history
This is a perfect “light” tour for your first day in Cape Town. Glen did an awesome job. He is incredibly friendly and shared lots of great information.
Lovely and peaceful on the top of the mountain, took nearly an hour queuing. Could be an issue with the timings if some in the group wanted to do the longer walk. Drive afterwards was just getting a feel for Cape Town, more of a time filler, using the red tour bus would have been just as good.
This tour was decent but not great. We also did not get to go to table Mountain because of the wind which is not the guides fault. We really didn’t see all that much and what we did see wasn’t really of interest. The guide was knowledgeable Though. We would’ve rather spent more time in the neighborhoods or markets and the waterfront.
It was good experience at first the guide doesn’t want us to go to table mountain due to bad weather but we insisted of going and thank God it was clear a bit and managed to see something while on top. The weather was a bit freezing but managed to enjoy and take lots of photos even it’s cloudy. The Bo-Kaap is nice and the diamond store visit is also nice. It was great half day tour on a winter
This was a great experience, we had such wonderful and informative tours, I can definitely recommend your services. Thank you.
About table mountain I don't want to lie I didn't go there because of strong winds and was suspended. The following day I insisted to go there I got no help they come up with excuses which leads me to request a refund.im so disappointed on that
We loved learning about the history of Cape Town from our guide, Ernest. He was very knowledgeable, and we enjoyed our time with him.
Cable car was closed unfortunately so we ended up doing a rather simple tour with a nice fellow driver but who barely told us anything interesting. Probably one of the lowest value tours i have ever had :(
Our tour guide Mr Bayathe, was exceptional and knowledgeable of the city. Learned alot about CPT with him, and he recommended great spots to try while in CPT. Very friendly and patient. Wonderful experience. Thanks
The heading of this services states "Table mountain" (depicting a picture of the cable car ride up to the table mountain) "and half day trip around cape town". They charge you 1140 ZAR to drive you to the parking of table mountain where you need to pay the actual guys to go up table mountain with the the cable car. The tour guide doesn't go with you or anything. You go by yourself while they wait in the car and then limit you to about 1 hour to explore the entire mountain and hurry back to the parking where they drive you around the city. As soon as my wife and I realized this we tried to cancel the trip within the first 10 minutes. We then contacted the agency with our complaint and departed. Neither Viator or Cullinan Guided Journey accepted the fact that we wanted to cancel our trip and refused to refund the money for this trip that we did not go on. Total scam. Don't waste your money.
The tour guide was really friendly and explained all the key points we went to, answered our questions, gave us time to take pictures etc
What a lovely experience we had with Super.. From the beginning of the tour till the end. Learnt so much about the city of Cape Town.
The tour was well designed. Our guide was very knowledgeable and experienced. He ensured we got to see all the important points on the tour
Excellent tour but very difficult with visit to Table Mountain as cable cars (although very quick) have such long queues so we had to wait a long time for last person to return to car. Guide was very good and well worth taking this tour.
Good pick up and drop off from hotel . Best to go early as we did because when we came down the lift the cable car queues had grown to 2 hours!. Once up there superb views
Attempted the cable car in January but winds too strong. We continued our trip with the half day tour and took in Clifton, Hout Bay, Bantry Bay, Camps Bay, Bo Kaap, Castle of good hope, District 6,Parliment building, Kirstenbosh and Green Market Square. We returned on the 5th Feb and the weather was kind so we managed the cable car - amazing sights, lovely café and shops to keep you busy.Great day!
We were met by our wonderful guide who took around lots of different places in cape town. We stopped at about 4 different locations before we went to table mountain. Our guide(really sorry I cant remember his name) was really knowledgable and took us to places we would never had seen if we had gone ourselves! Great value for money and would highly recommend!!!
We booked the 1.30pm tour. The return cable car tickets aren’t included so on top of the $55 AUD each we had to pay an additional $30 AUD each. We had to cut half the tour out due to long cues at Table Mountain and being on a time restraint so our sightseeing was very brief & didn’t cover all the places listed in the description. Our guide was amazing!! He was full of knowledge and really funny and couldn’t fault him at all. Unfortunately due to time restraints and cues at Table Mountain always being long I wouldn’t recommend this tour due to its value for money, there are other ways to see the city at your own pace that cost way less!
It was a great trip. Our guide, Ashraaf, was very knowledgeable and he knew everyone on the tour by their first name! Highly recommend.
Booked for the half day tour and table mountain as we were pushed for time. Our guide was prompt and took us straight to table mountain to ensure we got there early. It was a great way to start the tour overlooking the city , out guide came up table mountain with us and told us about the ecology of the place. The rest of the tour was in the minibus and we got to spend time in all the great spots in the city with great local commentary. Would definitely recommend
View of Huriǂoaxa (Table Mountain) and Cape Town seen from Bloubergstrand. Table Mountain is flanked by Devil's Peak on the left and Lion's Head on the right. Highest point Elevation 1,084.6 m (3,558 ft) [1] Prominence 1,055 m (3,461 ft) The main feature of Table Mountain is the level plateau approximately three kilometres (2 mi) from side to side, edged by impressive cliffs. The plateau, flanked by Devil's Peak to the east and by Lion's Head to the west, forms a dramatic backdrop to Cape Town (ǁHuiǃgaeb). This broad sweep of mountainous heights, together with Signal Hill, forms the natural amphitheatre of the City Bowl and Table Bay harbour. The highest point on Table Mountain is towards the eastern end of the plateau and is marked by Maclear's Beacon, a stone cairn built in 1865 by Sir Thomas Maclear for trigonometrical survey. It is 1,086 metres (3,563 ft) above sea level, and about 19 metres (62 ft) higher than the cable station at the western end of the plateau. The cliffs of the main plateau are split by Platteklip Gorge ("Flat Stone Gorge"), which provides an easy and direct ascent to the summit and was the route taken by António de Saldanha on the first recorded ascent of the mountain in 1503.[4] The flat top of the mountain is often covered by orographic clouds, formed when a south-easterly wind is directed up the mountain's slopes into colder air, where the moisture condenses to form the so-called "table cloth" of cloud.
I had a remarkable experience had loads of fun with my group the view was beautiful with loads of fresh air from the natural habitat surrounding us. Table mountain is sure one of the places to be it's worth it when you ontop #KhwelaYouthtourismstars
I had an awesome day with my Girls Great weather with the spectacular views of the Table Mountain, made us feel alive Great service, all in order for sure we will vusit again soon #KhwelaYouthTourismStars #Sisterhood #ExploringCapeTown
This trip is an absolute must. The sights are amazing and the views from the cable car and the top of Table Mountain are absolutely spectacular. Be sure to pre-book your tickets as waiting times can be long. Highly recommended.
I recommend not Hiking up as you need to be super fit. Me and My Wife & Mother took the cable car and hiked on top of the mountain. It took around 2-3 hours Its was amazing but please be warned u need to be fit.
Visiting Cape Town as part of tour. Read if it's not windy and if it's sunny go to Table Mountain asap. Weather can be a problem. Went on Sunday without purchasing tickets online. Line was long and we had to do line to purchase tickets also. But the good news it took only one hour to get to top the mountain (I was expecting a Disney-class line from hell). Cable car's floor rotates so everyone gets a great view. Terrific views and nice trail around top. Would hiked up but I damaged my heel prior to trip.
Typical tourist must see Table Top Mountain trip. Massive queues so advise book tickets. If you wish to be a typical tourist then do the trip. Certain people raved about the trip others like me were a little let down. MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND! Half Day tour of Cape Town a little diasapointing, very rushed.
The most Spectacular view from the top of the mountain. The Cafe and Deli on top sells good food. Short walks are available and the Dassie walk offers spectacular views north, south and west. There is guide tours available Take jacket and make sure that sky is clear before go up the mountain
You have to buy your tickets for the cable car on your own (why does the tour operator not organize this). At Table Mountain, the guide does not know, whre the queue starts. - Then he decides the queue is too long and we will not go up. - What do you do with the tickets? - Very simple: If you do not go up you throw them away (no refund). So, why do we have to buy tickets, if we do not go up? Our tour guide: "Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not work".

Waste of time with gem, store mandatory visit and very odd natural history museum basically just got a lift to table mountain but then had to get a taxi back would not recommend

The tour guide (Super) was very friendly and knowledgable but overall the experience wasn't great. For the price I think the cable car should have been included. And because you have to rush off the the city sights tour I feel there wasn't enough time on Table Mountain. The diamond shop at the end seemed a bit pointless also. In hindsight I would have just spent the money on an uber to Table Mountain and stayed up there all morning.
We travelled in a group so waited couple of minutes in queue which could be saved using online booking. We enjoyed the nice view from rotating cable car and better view from table mountain and the best part was coffee on the balcony with the view of the cape. Do not miss it....enjoy
We had been advised to pre book the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, which we did. Communication from the office is poor and it took several emails to establish our collection point. It was raining heavily so the cable car was cancelled. Frankly I would have preferred to cancel the tour as well but we were unable to do so. So we chugged around Cape Town in the over air-condoned coach, unable to see much through the rain soaked windows. The guide took us on a lightening stop tour of the museu. Although it was reasonably interested, the brief time we had there was poor compensation. I would not recommend.
We joined the hop on hop off bus from The V & A Waterfront, which was very easy to find. Excellent trip, the commentary through the earpiece is very informative. Views are amazing and because we had booked this tour we didn't need to queue to get our tickets for the cable car as they are already in the price, which made a big difference as the queues can get quite long!!! Table Mountain is just fantastic to see!!!! We then rejoined the bus and the rest of the tour took us along the bays which were breathtaking.

Fantastic tour, left table mountain until last, the tour guide was waiting for the clouds to clear! Perfect, also meant we could spend as much time as we wanted on the mountain as lo as we made our own way back to the hotel! Awesome way of doing it! Great introduction to the city as well.

Good tour, informative and pleasant guide...
table mountain has gorgeous views..highly recommended

information via email and response was great, lines were quick so little waiting period, free myciti bus service to the top and back down is a great service. all in all was a great experience

Feel we could have done just as well if we had gone on our own. Found the guide quite irritating as she kept repeating the same thing over and over . Also as it was half day it was very rushed.

The tour was great and our guide Andrea was fantastic. Highly recommended

Timely pick up, tour guide was excellent - blending his narrative with the history of South Africa to understand the physical environment, landscape, architectural structures, people and events. Table mountain was an awesome experience - close to the clouds!
