We had a fantastic day with our guide Rameez. We were picked up from our hotel on time and then set off on our tour. Rameez gave us information on everything we encountered and was friendly and helpful at every step. We got to see and learn even more than we expected and got to learn about the history behind each place we saw. In the process it also became a mini-safari as we spotted a variety of wildlife along the way. A truly excellent day with a great guide. Amazing tour that we highly recommend.

Itinerary
Driving slowly along the coast with Bo-kaap behind us. Our journey will take us through some of Africa's most posh suburbs. Bantry Bay is one of them. A seaside suburb tucked up on the western slopes of the world famous Lions head mountain. According to meteorologist Bantry Bay is the only suburb in Cape town that is not affected by the south eastern winds that Cape town experiences on a regular basis and this is all thanks to the Lions head. Bantry Bay has over 260 wind free days a year, which is a significant number considering Cape town's windy climate.
This is one of the most affluent suburbs in Cape Town. Known for its beautiful white sandy beach, palm trees and The Twelve Apostles Mountain range as a backdrop. It offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Camps bay Beach is also a Hotspot to watch the sunset, which makes the suburb alive at night with its trendy bars, cocktail lounges and clubs. Guest will have an opportunity to step out of the vehicle and savour the beautiful views and take photos of what man's hand and nature have blended into a masterpiece.
Once we have had our fair share of seals and souvenir markets at Hout bay harbour. Our journey will resume along the rocky coastline via one of the most awe inspiring & scenic mountain side road in the Cape. The Chapman's Peak drive. The proclaimed engineer's pride Chapman's peak drive tread from North to south on the edge of the Chapman's peak mountains that drop into the ocean like an avalanche. There are view picnic sites and rest spots whereby guest will have an opportunity to hop out of the car and soak in the beauty through naked eyes and/or camera lenses.
Should the tour not stop at Hout Bay harbor.Guest will have an opportunity to stop at Noordhoek farm village.Right at the southern end of the Chapmans peak drive and laden with renown coffee shops,Raw juice shops, bakeries and souvenir shops.Guest might also want to take this opportunity to use the restroom before the long stretch towards the Cape of Good hope.
Cape point nature reserve is a 7700 hectares big area.Home to the most south western point of Africa as well as the 3rd oldest light house in South Africa.Cape point nature reserve is also part of the worlds richest floral kingdom.Over 2000 different plant species are found here and with majority of them being endemic to hear.Guest might also be lucky to spot a few animals.Baboons,Zebras and different kinds of antelopes are often seen grazing or grooming on the roadside.
Cape of good hop was the famed corner of Africa. Before advanced navigational systems came around,it is around here that sailors realized that they had began to sail more easterly than southerly on their way to the far east from Europe.A big sign with co-ordinates and a "welcome to the Cape of good hope" message is quite popular with visitors taking pictures.Guest might also be interested in taking a 45 minute walk to Cape point side which will be the next stop from here or opt to go around by bus.
Our last stop inside the nature reserve will be at the Cape point lighthouse. An Inclined paved pathway leads visitors to the lighthouse standing over 300 meters above sea level. The elevated lighthouse gives one a 360 degree vies of the entire peninsular and also a plenty good photo opportunities.Shall one not be in a good mood to walk, you may take the funicular at extra cost.Guest will also have a chance to have lunch while here at 2 oceans restaurant or grab a to go from the food shop.
Boulders beach is home to the endangered African penguin. It is also one of the only 2 mainland penguin colonies in South Africa.Since they were listed on the red list of endangered species,a boardwalk was constructed to restrict too much human interruption at the penguin colony. However guest can still get very close to the penguin and get close up pictures albeit without having to be standing on the beach but the boardwalk.
Victorian built Simon's town is home to South Africa's navy. The town is also known to be a hot-spot for fresh seafood.(Guest might also have lunch here depending on the guide's discretion on the day)
Kalk bay town for Lime stone bay is known to be South Africa's oldest holiday resorts.Tucked up between the sea and mountains.Kalk bay is glittered with stylish buildings from the mid 1800s.One might like to explore Kalk bay's restaurants, art galleries, theaters, cuban cigar bars or even the fresh fish markets should there be time.
Muizenberg is the last town along the false bay coast before driving back to Cape town.A surfers haven.Muizenberg's over 14km long beach is quiet popular to ordinary beach goers, swimmers and surfers. The water is warmer than in Cape town. The bay is shallow making swimming fun and the surfs are consistent and a heaven to the surfers.Along the beach are also colourful changing huts that makes for great photo taking.(Kindly take note that the stop at the beach is only possible considering that there is free flow of traffic on the day)

Great communication, John our driver was lovely. A great experience!!
It would have Been 5 stars but we had an issue finding each other. These things happen. The issue was that I couldn't get in touch on the only number I had so we were delayed by 45 mins. Doddy, our guide was superb. He was very informative and made the long journey pass quickly. It is important to realise that it is a long journey and so you'll spend much of the time in the car. That said, we had plenty of time to explore Boulders Beach and Cape Point We went in the afternoon which had the advantage of missing the crowds. It also meant for a late return. Overall, we have no regrets in booking this tour
An amazing morning with Ney-Ney She arrived promptly & gave us so much information. She planned the trip so we weren’t sitting in queues & had great photo opportunities. We loved hearing her stories & she was engaging and knowledgeable. I thoroughly recommend a trip. The experience was wonderful.
I am normally not one for organized tours, but my wife insisted on it. It turned out to be a great tour. I highly recommended. Nontando made it fun and very informative. Reserve your spot you will not regret it. We had heavy rain that day and her driving skills on those mountain roads were excellent.
This was an excellent tour. We had three travelers and our guide riding in a clean modern SUV. Pickup and drop off at my accommodation. Our guide Wonga was new to the company, I believe, but he did a fine job, explaining history and facts about the locations we visited and passed through. His driving was safe. Time spent at each stop was about right, and although we packed a lot into a half day, I never felt rushed. The service is highly recommended.
It was a fantastic afternoon - Nontando was excellent, very informative and great fun!
Fantastic tour. Our guide Leticia was wonderfully very knowledgable, friendly, and created great group dynamics for a bunch of initial strangers from six different countries. My highest recommendation. Take this your, you will love it
The trip was very nice. And the guide also he explains a lot and stops when he sees wild animals to make photographs
The tour was absolutely amazing! Everything went perfectly and Rameez was super nice and really made an effort to make the tour special. We honestly didn’t expect it to be this beautiful We really enjoyed it and are very happy we booked the tour Thank you so much!
Leticia is an experienced, fun, and knowledgeable guide. She considered my timing of next activity and made it right on time.
It was the best experience. The tour guide was the best, he was so knowledgeable.
This was a 10/10 experience. Certainly worth the money Our guide was panctual and he gave us such a rich history of Capetown as he took us around. He is very knowledgeable on the history of the place. He also let us explore the stops in our own way
Our driver Rameez was great and the spots we visited were amazing.
THE BEST TOUR. Leticia was AMAZING, you will love her as your tour guide! Seriously, you will see so much (expect the tour to run a bit long for a "half day"), and you will never really feel rushed at any stop. Plenty of photo stops and good converation. So glad we booked this tour; everything went perfectly. Thank you, Leticia!!
Anthea was a terrific guide, picked us up from our hotel on time, excellent guide, mindful of our timetable but never rushed us throughout. Would highly recommend her 👌
We had a wonderful day visiting Boulders Beach and the Cape of Good Hope. A special thanks to our guide, who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. He made the tour fun, informative, and truly memorable. Everything was perfectly organized, small group, clean van and we felt well taken care of throughout the day. Highly recommended – we would definitely do it again!
The guide Latisha was great, very knowledgeable, the tour was great. Latisha got everyone talking and comparing local traditions etc to home towns across many nationalities while explaining manning along the way.
Our day trip with Ivy was so much fun despite some pretty terrible weather. She was the key to making the most of that day. She was hilarious! We laughed the entire day. She was also very knowledgeable about the history of the Cape, the country, and everything in between. We had a few stops throughout the day and each one was enjoyable. The Peguins were the highlight for me and the Cape for my husband. It's a lot of time in the car, but in a new place it's a great way to see the countryside and learn about South African history.
Leticia, the tour guide, was an absolute delight. She was incredibly professional, amicable and made us feel comfortable throughout the tour. She is a warm individual and accommodated our requests at each tour stop. Her energy levels were extremely high and she kept us entertained throughout! Leticia had the great presence of mind to alter the route in response to the weather conditions so we could experience all the main attractions under the right weather - Muzenberg Beach, Kalk Bay, Boulder Beach, Table Mountain National Park, Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point Light House, Chapman's Peak Drive, Camps Bay. She was very knowledgable and shared historical/political/cultural facts about South Africa throughout the tour. It was a wonderful half day tour, that extended a couple of hours but was absolutely worth the time spent. I highly recommend Leticia's services - she is easily one of the best tour guides in Cape Town!
I was incredibly disappointed in the tour guide and the experience. He started the tour stating that South Africa was founded in 1652, and the buildings and roads that we see would not be possible without the Dutch and British. The concept that indigenous African people were some barbarians that needed to be civilized by colonization- with all of the harms and atrocities that it also brought- is not only false, but deeply problematic and harmful. He later spoke of South African marriage traditions, which included the ability to take on more than one wife. He stated that it was imprtant to CONTROL each wife equally. I asked him to clarify how a husband controls his wife, and he said you must control her mind and that is how you control her behavior. Again, a deeply problematic statement in a county that faces such high rates of violence against women. Furthermore, despite the many stops listed on the agenda for what to expect, we started at Muizenberg and then went to Boulder beach. I was told that my tour didn’t include a visit to Cape of good hope and that he would leave me and the other solo tourist at Boulder Beach and return for us in 2.5 hours at 12:15. He did give me the option to change that itinerary and go to cape of good hope, but I was ok with more time with penguins. He later messaged that he wouldn’t be back until 1:15-1:30. I chose this tour specifically because it was listed as a 5 hour tour starting at 8am. I therefore anticipated return at 1pm. I had a 2 pm meeting scheduled. I replied to the guide and told him this, and he did not respond. I therefore had to take an uber back, and pay that additional cost to be back in time for my meeting. I definitely did not get the tour that was described and was very offended by the problematic narrative around Africa culture and gender portrayed by the tour guide. The penguins were great, but would have been better off ubering, since I had to uber back and the price I paid was more expensive than a one way uber (and I only got a one way trip).
Fantastic experience. The tour was exactly as described, we were picked up from our accommodation. We had Ney Ney as our tour guide and she was brilliant. Loads of local knowledge and full of character. She was great at giving us hints at the sightseeing areas and very focused on nature which was why we did the tour.
Fabulous tour and great value for money. We had Yomi as our driver and guide and she was brilliant. Had great banter and gave us some insights into Cape Town as a local. Our tour only had four of us in total so felt like a really intimate experience. Great way to tick off all of the Cape Town and surrounding area highlights if you’re limited on time. Bonus was we got picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Great communication too from the company on when to expect pickup so we weren’t hanging around waiting. Highly recommend this and will encourage anyone to go with this company. We booked last minute via Viator and it’s been one of our highlights of our week stay in Cape Town.
During the business trip of me and my colleague to Cape Town we had only half day available and chose the Cape Point and Boulders Penguin tour. Our driver/guide, Yomi, did a fantastic work with all of the arrangements and gave us a well informative guide regarding the sites and the South African culture as well. Highly recommended if you have 5-6 hours available.
We had a fantastic time on the half day tour of the Cape. Leticia was the perfect host, we cannot recommend her enough!
Everything was good! Our guide, Yomi, was very nice
We went to the Cape of Good Hope and Simon’s Town penguins colony together with Anthea who is just the loveliest, most knowledgeable, kindest person. Everything was perfect. Can only highly recommend!
Couldn’t have asked for better from our guide…her energy, warmth and knowledge made the whole trip a fantastic experience…thank you!
Great experience overall The guide was really nice helpfull and talkative, that coupled with the breath-taking landscapes, we didn't see the time pass during our tour. I warmly recomand it
We absolutely loved our half-day Cape tour with Glorious Cape Tours! We got to see so many incredible places without committing an entire 8–10 hour day to a tour, which was perfect for us. And Leticia was AMAZING. She was warm, fun, incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole experience feel easy and personal. We learned so much from her and genuinely enjoyed spending the afternoon with her. It was a highlight of our time in Cape Town. If you want to see Capetown, I cannot recommend Glorious Cape Tours — and especially Leticia — highly enough. Five stars all around!
Excellent tour with our guide Yumi. Beautiful scenery and insightful commentary.
Great tour, super knowledgeable guide and great weather. Would highly recommend it.
My tour in Cape Town was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! ❤️ The experience was even more special thanks to our amazing guide, Leticia. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, professional and full of positive energy. She made us feel comfortable from the very beginning and shared so many interesting stories and details about Cape Town. Leticia truly went above and beyond to make the tour unforgettable. Her passion for the city was contagious and you could really tell how much she loves what she does. We learned so much, laughed a lot and had an amazing time! I would 100% recommend this tour to everyone visiting Cape Town. If you get the chance to have Leticia as your guide, you are in for a real treat! She made our experience truly memorable. Thank you, Leticia, for such a fantastic day! 🌍❤️
Had a really enjoyable day. Doné (Ney-Ney) was an excellent, enthusiastic and knowledgable guide. Vehicle was comfortable and plenty of room as only 6 of us on the trip. Penguins were the highlight. Price seems to have reduced now from what we paid and would be good value for money. Only point of consideration is the itinerary which wasn't quite as advertised. It was done in the opposite direction with Muizenberg first and we didn't stop at the Ostrich Farm or Noordhoek Farm Village or Camps Bay or Hout Bay Harbour. I can understand why not because it's hard to see how all that could actually have been fitted into the time. I wouldn't have wanted less at the Cape or the Penguins. We were perfectly happy with the itinerary we experienced but it should perhaps have been discussed from the outset.
The the tour was a great experience! The highlight has to be the penguins. We really liked our tour guide Dona, he was wonderful and full on knowledge. Very chatty, friendly and full of life!
Had an excellent trip with our guide, Rameez! He was full of knowledge and fun stories as he drove us around Cape Town. The trip was well planned and I felt like it was a great value for what we paid. Overall I'd book a tour again!
Had an absolutely amazing time with Latisha, a gem of a guide. Saw a ton, learned a bunch and the amount of time at each stop was perfect. Would recommend this tour for sure.
This tour provided a great day of experiencing the areas outside of Cape Town and our guide Leticia was full of energy and made it so enjoyable. We stopped at some quaint coastal towns and enjoyed the views of the Cape of Good Hope.
A lot of different things were packed into the day. Leticia went out of her way to make sure everyone's needs were meant and seemed to really enjoy showing us around. The hotel pick8and drop off was very convenient.
Great tour. Letitia was full of life and very bubbly. She had great information to pass on. Loved the penguins, lighthouse stop and seeing the wildlife today. A++
We had an amazing day, saw so many things, and our guide Armando provided countless explanations throughout the tour and at the places we visited. 100% recommended!
We had an excellent experience with Glorious cape tours during our recent trip. They handled all of our airport transfers and organized our tours seamlessly from start to finish. The team was professional, punctual, reliable, and incredibly efficient. Every pickup was on time, which gave us complete peace of mind throughout our stay. What stood out most was their wealth of local knowledge. They generously shared valuable tips, recommendations, and insights that made our trip even more enjoyable. It never felt transactional—they genuinely cared about ensuring we had the best possible experience. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for dependable transportation and expertly planned tours. Thank you for making our trip smooth, memorable, and stress-free!
I had a great time on this tour! Gabriel was wonderful, he gave us lots of facts and spoke of the history of the area, and even made extra stops to point out local wildlife which was amazing to see! Great value for money and a really lovely tour ☺️
Amazing experience with Leticia! Great vibes, great energy, and she made the whole day fun from start to finish. We visited all the sweet spots around the Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Beach, and she shared tons of interesting information along the way. Beyond the tour itself, she also gave us amazing local tips for Cape Town that really helped make the trip even better. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to spend the day with — highly recommend!
Albert, our guide, was delightful and although the weather was a bit chilly we still had a great experience, learned a lot of history and had a very good day. The penguins are just adorable! Unfortunately the weather was a bit uncooperative as we were to go up Table Mtn but the visibility was poor so we couldn't. No fault of the trip.
Our guide was Doney, Downey’s knowledge & great personality made our full day trip a pleasure. We covered everywhere we wanted (Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point, Boulders beach, Camps Bay, Table Mountain, & more all thanks to Doney. Would I recommend this tour absolutely.
Albert was a fantastic guide. It was raining on that day and he planned the route to ensure that we had pockets of sunny time when we could walk around and take beautiful pictures before the rain came again. Overall a welll curated trip.
The experience was amazing, Doney is a great guide with extensive knowledge of Cape Town. The scenery along the way is breathtaking. Totally recommend !!!
Annie was so so informative and friendly. The tour was awesome and memorable. I enjoyed the service we got
Small group of 4. Leticia our guide made the day very enjoyable with her kindness and humour. Very comfortable ride. Saw everything as described although the cloud came down but this didn't spoil the trip.
