This tour was a great opportunity for us to see some of the beautiful scenery on the Cape, to spend some time with the penguin colony and to learn a lot about South Africa from our knowledgeable and experienced guides; Leticia and O’Neal. We would highly recommend this tour!

Itinerary
Driving slowly along the coast with Bo-kaap behind us. Our journey will take us through some of Africa's most posh suburbs. Bantry bay is one of them. A seaside suburb tucked up on the western slopes of the world famous Lions head mountain. According to meteorologist Bantry bay is the only suburb in Cape town that is not affected by the south eastern winds that Cape town experiences on a regular basis and this is all thanks to the Lions head. Bantry bay has over 260 wind free days a year and which is a significant number considering Cape town's windy climate.
Next to Bantry bay is Camps bay. Another plush sea side suburb punctuated by the popular white sandy camps bay beach and the twelve apostles mountain range. Guest will have an opportunity to step out of the vehicle and savour the beautiful views and take photos of what man's hand and nature have blended into a masterpiece.
A short 20 minutes from Camps lies Hout Bay .A beautiful town surrounded by dramatic mountains on all sides. Hout bay is Dutch for wood bay and history books has it that this is where the Dutch east India company once used to fetch timber for the building of settlements and Ships .Hout bay is also affectionately know as The Republic of Hout bay. The dramatic mountains surrounding the town Isolates the town from all other towns and leaving motorist with only one way to access this town and which is by driving over mountain passes.
Once we have had our fair share of seals and souvenir markets at Hout bay harbor. Our journey will resume along the rocky coastline via one of the most awe inspiring & scenic mountain side road in the Cape. The Chapman's Peak drive. The proclaimed engineer's pride Chapman's peak drive tread from North to south on the edge of the Chapman's peak mountains that drop into the ocean like an avalanche .There are view picnic sites and rest spots whereby guest will have an opportunity to hop out of the car and soak in the beauty through naked eyes and/or camera lenses.
Should the tour not stop at Hout Bay harbor .Guest will have an opportunity to stop at Noordhoek farm village. Right at the southern end of the Chapmans peak drive and laden with renown coffee shops, Raw juice shops, bakeries and souvenir shops .Guest might also want to take this opportunity to use the restroom before the long stretch towards the Cape of Good hope.
Boulders beach is home to the endangered African penguin. It is also one of the only 2 mainland penguin colonies in South Africa. Since they were listed on the red list of endangered species, a boardwalk was constructed to restrict too much human interruption at the penguin colony. However guest can still get very close to the penguin and get close up pictures albeit without having to be standing on the beach but the boardwalk.
Victorian built Simon's town is home to South Africa's navy .The town is also known to be a hot-spot for fresh seafood.(Guest might also have lunch here depending on the guide's discretion on the day)
Kalk bay town for Lime stone bay is known to be South Africa's oldest holiday resorts. Tucked up between the sea and mountains. Kalk bay is glittered with stylish buildings from the mid 1800s.One might like to explore Kalk bay's restaurants, art galleries ,theaters, cuban cigar bars or even the fresh fish markets should there be time.
Muizenberg is the last town along the false bay coast before driving back to Cape town. A surfers haven. Muizenberg's over 14km long beach is quiet popular to ordinary beach goers, swimmers and surfers. The water is warmer than in Cape town. The bay is shallow making swimming fun and the surfs are consistent and a heaven to the surfers. Along the beach are also colorful changing huts that makes for great photo taking.(Kindly take note that the stop at the beach is only possible considering that there is free flow of traffic on the day)

Besides the exceptional beauty of the cape and Cape Town area, Yomi, our guide, was like and old friend instantly- so fun and sharp and played good local music to top off the experience.
My tour guide, Ivy, was phenomenal. She did not rush us at any point and made sure we had the experience we came for. She was so knowledgeable about the history of Cape Town and did not skip out on any details. She also had a great sense of humor that added to the overall experience. I HIGHLY recommend booking this tour. 10/10
We enjoyed the tour with Rameez. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the tour. Unfortunately, it was very foggy at the Cape of Good Hope and we couldn’t see much, but we still really enjoyed the tour overall. We got to see the penguins up close, and they were so cute! It was very convenient that you picked us up at the location we specified.
Our guide, Nuria (not sure I’ve spelled her name correctly) was amazing. Easy pick up, music on the ride, very warm and friendly; she took a bunch of group pictures for us which was great. The only slight surprise was needing to buy a separate ticket for the penguins. That is not the guide’s fault and maybe we needed to read the description more closely. Overall, great half day experience.
We had a great time with Leticia! She was on time, knowledgeable, friendly and patient with us! We saw the penguins, giant waves, ostriches, cormorants. She took pictures of us and helped us avoid the crowds. An awesome tour, and great guide!
We did a half day tour of Cape Point, Cape of good hope and Boulder’s beach with the guide Nuria. It was great. Nuria was patient, funny and intelligent. We stopped in all of the places that were planned, she knew the history of all of them to tell us. We had a great time with her!!!
Very nice tour! Everything exactly as advertised and we had plenty of time to see the penguins and also had a drive thorough of chapmans drive. The penguins had babies and the views were great! The tour guide was also a local and had a lot of great insights and also recommended other activities to do around 🙂
The most incredible experience with Dona! My 9 year old and I loved our day. From learning about the different areas of Cape Town, the history, the penguins and Chapmans Peak and to the Cape of Good Hope- everything was wonderful. Dona answered all of our questions and helped grab wonderful photos! Five stars all around.
It's seldom that a tour guide is better than the tour but Leticia made that possible. From pick-up to dropoff the entire experience was sublime. She was punctual, hilarous, knowladgeable, and patient. We went to all the stops we were hoping to go to, everything was explained clearly, and our pics turned out fantastic. The penguins were so cute, but getting to experience Cape Town with Leticia which is a local and proud of her town was the real treat. I wanna hang with Leticia again!
We had an absolutely fantastic tour with Dona, and he made our day truly unforgettable. Wealth of Knowledge: Dona knows an incredible amount about South Africa’s history and culture. He shared fascinating insights that you won’t find in any guidebook, making the tour deeply educational yet engaging. Super Efficient & Flexible: Everything went incredibly smoothly. Dona managed the timing perfectly so we never had to wait in any long lines. He is a very calm, relaxed driver, and he was flexible enough to adjust the itinerary and focus on the spots we were most interested in. Great with Kids: He even managed to get our 11-year-old son completely excited and engaged throughout the day, which is an art in itself! Authentic & Likeable: Beyond his professionalism, Dona is just a wonderful, authentic, and genuinely sympathetic person. It felt like exploring the area with a local friend. If you want a stress-free, deeply insightful, and fun day in South Africa, book a tour with Dona. You won’t regret it!
This was an excellent tour to see the penguins and the Cape of Good Hope. Dona, our guide was fantastic. Seeing the penguins was great, but watching the sunset at the Cape of Good Hope was the highlight. Would recommend this tour to anyone.
Really good and guide awesome
Our Guide was charming and very informative. Even laid on sunshine for our visit to see the Penguins.
I had originally booked the half day penguin colony trip - I was asked if I minded extending it to include Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. I’m glad I did! It is a long drive but the views and the penguins were definitely worth it! I would definitely recommend this trip!
I had an amazing time with Leticia. I toured solo and we had a blast chatting it up in the car on the way to see the penguins. This tour was perfect for me as I had limited time, I needed something about 4-5 hours, not the 6-10 hours other tours offered. The penguin experience was incredible! I will book an additional tour with Leticia, she is a wealth of knowledge and offered a lot of flexibility for stops etc. Thank you Leticia!
The initial impression and communication of the trip was good and the team offered us the chance to expand the tour to cape of god hope, which was a pleasant surprise. However, they did not tell us that it would mean taking a totally different route with a prebooked group that did not go past the scenic route of chapmans peak. So we would recommend double checking which route will be taken if you want to see specific sites along the way and not just the penguins.
My wife and I could not have been happier with this experience! Our wonderful guide was very thoughtful in seeing that we saw everything and she was extremely informative! Highly recommended.
Fantastic tour experiencing the coastal towns and epic views of the cape and the African penguins in the wild. This tour is unmissable for anyone who has a spare morning or afternoon in Cape Town. Our guide was also a great photographer and really informative. Would highly recommend, especially for a solo traveller!
Rameez was incredible. Very informative and patient! I never felt rushed and he took lots of pictures for me. I had a great time and felt perfectly safe as a solo traveler.
Our guide, Latisha, did a great job communicating prior to our hotel pick up. The van was large and comfortable and durning the tour, Latisha gave an on going narration of the sites we were passing and facts about South Africa. It was obvious that Latisha was passionate about her country. At each stop we had ample time and Latisha was always right where she she was to met us. Latisha was very accomidating and went beyond to make us feel welcome. Since we were the only ones on our tour, Latisha dropped us off at the V&A Warf rather than our hotel so we could visit that and she made an excellent recommendation for where to eat.
Enjoyed the Penguins at Bolder beach. Chapmans Peak was stunning. Bonus village type stops along the way. Our tour guide was enthusiastic and informative. Recommend this tour.
Wonderful experience. Enjoyed the Penguins at Boulder Beach and Chapman’s Peak was stunning. Cute village type stops along the way. Leticia was energetic, enthused, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour.

The penguins and Boulder Beaxh was great and we also anaw so much more. Our tour guide Leticia was fantastic and so knowledgable. Leticia was an amazing tour guide. She is a free spirited person, nice, jovial and friendly towards me and my family. Her passion and knowledge made the trip unforgettable. I will definitely use her again.
Rameez was an excellent guide on our half day tour to see the penguins. He answered all our many questions about Cape Town and we had a lovely time visiting the penguins with him, along with some short stops along the way for photos. I was a little surprised when the night prior the owner asked to upsell us on a longer more expensive tour. We said no and it was a nonissue and we were able to have the day we had hoped for.
We had an amazing tour with Letticia — she was truly the best guide! She kept the whole trip engaging and informative, sharing fascinating facts about South Africa’s history, culture, and Cape Town’s landmarks the entire way. She also made sure to stop at the most scenic spots for photos and breathtaking views. Her energy, knowledge, and passion for what she does made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend joining a tour with her!
Excellent tour! Yannick was a fantastic tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the history of South Africa. The transportation was comfortable and water was available for the trip.
It was a day well spent. Leticia out guide made it a lot of fun. The drive through the towns was amazing she told us both stories the locals tell and the actual history. She is a very good driver and more important, she keeps time.
It was an amazing experience… despite the windy day. Leticia was an amazing guide and very entertaining. I love the fact that she was punctual and really loved telling tales of how the local Capetownians think the cities were named. It was an experience we will not forgot.
Our family of 5 had such a wonderful time with Doney. She was an excellent guide and we had a fantastic time seeing the penguins as well as had stops at gorgeous scenic sites. Definitely recommend!
Worth the price, good tour around the expanse of Cape town. Enjoyed seeing the penguins and various bays around the cape
We had a wonderful afternoon seeing the penguins. Letitia was absolutely lovely and so knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. Thank you N & J
Perfect private tour with great insight from Anthea. Beautiful drive to Simon’s Town and the penguins at Boulders Bay, just enough time to see the town. Drive back through other interesting places. Anthea was great, highly recommend!
Excellent experience. Close to many penguins. Beautiful drives. Nice stops for views and photos and coffee. Informative and friendly guide
Great tour! I recommend it wholehartedly. The driver and guide were very nice and helpful. They tried to show as the most during our trip
This was the best experience. So easy and saw all the out of the way places I wanted to see. Letisha and Megan were great guides.
Visiting Boulders Beach in South Africa was an amazing experience. The scenery is stunning, the water is beautiful, and seeing the penguins so close was unforgettable. I truly loved the visit and would highly recommend it.
This is just not about penguins but but a very different part of Capetown that is not always experienced. Our guide was phenomenal! Extremely friendly, welcoming, patient, knowledgeable and informative. She was made for her position. We visited many places including Boulder Beach and the penguins. It was a perfect day. I would 100% recommend this tour and especially this particular tour company.
Had an amazing experience. Our guide. Latesha was extremely sweet and very interactive. Learnt so much fun and was a good learning experience as well. Will definitely recommend this to anyone who wishes to explore Cape Town .
We had an amazing tour of Cape Town and the penguins, beaches, and bays. Fun for all ages. Very comfortable, entertaining, and educational all along the way. Out tour guide, Latitia was full of information and very enthusiastic and polite. Lovely all around.
Ramirez was a very good and friendly tour guide. It was a very informative private tour and no rush. Would recommend Ramirez as the tour guide.
Our guide Doney was wonderful, very knowledgable, personable and flexible. She went above and beyond expectations for 3 tours over 3 days. We saw many of Cape Town sights as she knew the ins and outs of them. We highly recommend her.
We contacted Glorious for a very last minute half day booking when our plans to visit Robben Island fell through due to rain. They were quick to respond and arranged a tour for the same day. We had an excellent experience with Rameez visiting Boulders Beach and Chapmans Peak - Rameez is a fantastic guide, very friendly, knowledgeable and tailored the experience to our personal taste. Would definitely recommend.
We had a very pleasant tour with Leticia as a guide and driver . She learned us a lot about living in South Africa while she drove us to Boulders Bay and back for visiting the penguins, and for that we are very thankful , we made some stops on the way to admire the beaty of Capetowns surroundings .
We enjoyed Leticia and her complete tour if the beach towns and penguin preserve. We were able to walk along the paths and see the penguins within a foot of us! It was a terrific morning with a great guide
I tried to cancel many times but website would not let me into bookings. Just gave error messages or said I didn’t have a bookings when I requested a refund you said no. Inappropriate!
I just want to say a big thank you to Leticia and to our guide Rameez, it was a wonderful day. Rameez picked us up and drove us around wherever we wanted to go, stopped at the most perfect photo stopps (and took the best pictures) and he shared a lot of his knowledge with us! We will definitely come back and go on a tour with Rameez again to see the rest of Cape Town.
Leticia will be the best tour guide cum driver ever for my trip to South Africa and Cape Town. She patiently explain the tour and she was very engaging throughout the journey too. She drives safely and make sure that everyone is well taken care of.
Had a great experience with Rameez, he took us to the quieter side of the Boulder’s beach and we got to see the penguins up close. Also, despite being in the month of Ramadan and him fasting, he kindly accompanied us to a local restaurant for lunch and stayed with us for the whole meal before driving us back, which was very thoughtful and kind.
